Description
The invention relates to a clamp for a template of a vertical casting.
It is well known that vertical casting systems used in the construction industry are typically provided by formwork panels, anchoring tensile members, closure panels and connecting clamps.
During the pouring step, the concrete exerts a thrust force on the walls of the formwork, which is balanced by the steel tensile members.
These plates act as stop elements for the movement of the form along the tensile member.
The clip instead has the function of holding the panels integral with each other so that they constitute a single formwork surface.
In addition, an important task of the jig is to maintain alignment between the panels so that the formwork surface is perfectly flat and does not create undesirable level differences between the panels, which would also be reflected on the final concrete surface.
Various types of clamps are known which are suitable for achieving the approach and clamping of the side-by-side position of the formwork panels.
These clamps typically use the approximation and clamping movements of one or two movable jaws.
However, the clamps of the known type have drawbacks.
In particular, current clamps make it possible to always ensure perfect adhesion between adjacent panels; this depends on the fact that the opening/closing mechanism of the clamp is not correctly conceived or does not operate perfectly.
In relation to the last aspect, it should be noted that the mechanisms currently used do not allow to correctly adjust the action of said mechanisms on the two jaws, and in some cases the clamping of one jaw causes the loosening of the other jaw.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the known clamps are often very expensive and difficult to manufacture on a large scale.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a jig for a formwork of a vertical casting which overcomes the above-mentioned disadvantages of the background art.
Within this aim, a particular object of the invention is to provide a clamp which ensures an effective locking and perfect positioning of the formwork panels with respect to mutual alignment and adhesion.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a clamp that can be coupled to a formwork panel in a simple and quick manner, without having to tighten bolts or the like.
It is another object of the invention to provide a clamp that can be easily assembled and is strong and stable.
Another object of the invention is to provide a clamp, the jaws of which exert the same clamping action.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a clamp which is highly reliable, relatively easy to provide and at competitive costs.
This aim and these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by a clamp for formwork of vertical castings, characterized in that it comprises a first body and a second body adapted to be slidingly coupled to each other, said first body comprising an elongated element extending substantially along a first axis and having a first jaw at a first end, said second body comprising a substantially hollow base portion slidably associated with said elongated element and having a second jaw, locking means being provided to mutually lock said first and second bodies so as to mutually clamp two or more components between said first and second jaws.
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of the clamp of the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a clip according to the present invention in an assembled state;
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the clamp of FIG. 1 in a disassembled state;
FIG. 3 is an exploded view of a first component of the clip of FIGS. 1 and 2;
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a second component of the clamp of FIGS. 1 and 2;
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a third component of the clamp of FIGS. 1 and 2;
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the clip of the previous figures applied to a pair of profiles of a formwork panel;
FIG. 7 is a plan view of FIG. 6;
fig. 8 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a template using a pair of clamps according to the present invention.
With reference to the figures, a clamp according to the invention, generally designated by the reference numeral 1, comprises a first body 10 provided with a first jaw 12, the first body 10 being designed to be slidingly coupled to a second body 20 forming a second jaw 22.
The clamp 1 according to the invention also comprises locking means 30, which locking means 30 allow the first body 10 and the second body 20 to be locked to each other, thus clamping two or more components 51, 61 to each other between the first jaw 12 and the second jaw 22.
In the specific case, the parts 51, 61 consist of two reinforcing profiles of the formworks 50, 60 adjacent to each other.
The first body 10 comprises an elongated element 11 extending substantially along a first axis 100.
Preferably, the elongated element 11 has a substantially tubular structure and is constituted by a portion 14, the portion 14 having a substantially U-or C-shaped transverse cross-section, the portion 14 being closed at the open side by a plate-like element 15.
Advantageously, the portion 14 and the plate-like element 15 are made so that they can be coupled to each other during production, for example with suitable projections and corresponding undulating zones.
The plate-like element 15 projects laterally with respect to the portion 14, forming a pair of parallel guides 13a, 13b, the guides 13a, 13b extending substantially along the two entire sides (parallel to the first axis 100) of the elongated element 11.
First corrugated wings (16 a, 16 b) substantially parallel to each other project at right angles from the first end of the elongated element 11 and form the first jaw 12.
Conveniently, the first undulated wing 16a, 16b is provided with a first gripping portion 17a, 17b, respectively, the first gripping portion 17a, 17b being arranged transversally to the first axis 100 and being adapted to engage the members 51, 61.
Preferably, the first gripping portion 17a, 17b is provided with a first tooth 18a, 18b, the first tooth 18a, 18b being adapted to engage a slot 52, 62 defined on the member 51, 61.
A series of undulated projections 19 are formed on the outer surface of the plate-like element 15 and can interact with locking means 30, as will be better explained hereinafter.
Preferably, the wavy projections 19 are substantially toothed and extend transversely to the first axis 100.
However, it is obvious to a person skilled in the art that in an alternative embodiment of the invention, which is not shown, the wavy projections may be shaped differently.
The second body 20 comprises a substantially hollow base portion 21, preferably having a U-shaped or C-shaped transverse cross-section.
Conveniently, the base portion 21 may be coupled to the first body 10 so that an inner surface of said base portion 21 is in contact with an outer surface of the elongated element 11.
In this regard, the second body 20 comprises blocks, in the specific case four blocks 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d, which project inside the base portion 21, constituting a sort of channel in which the parallel guides 13a, 13b are slidingly inserted.
Second corrugated wings 24a, 24b, substantially parallel to each other, project at right angles from the base portion 21 and form the second jaw 22.
Conveniently, the second undulating wings 24a, 24b are provided with second gripping portions 25a, 25b, respectively, adapted to engage the members 51, 61.
During use, the second grip portion 25a, 25b is arranged transversely to the first axis 100.
Preferably, the second gripping portion 25a, 25b is provided with a second tooth 26a, 26b, the second tooth 26a, 26b being adapted to engage a slot 52, 62 defined on the member 51, 61.
Further, seats 27a, 27b are formed on the base portion 21.
The seats 27a, 27b (one on each second undulated wing 24a, 24b) are intended to interact with a locking device 30, as better explained below.
The locking device 30 comprises a third body 31 extending substantially along the second axis 200.
In terms of shape and dimensions, the third body 31 is substantially complementary with respect to the two seats 27a, 27 b.
During use, the third body 31 is in fact designed to enter the two seats 27a, 27b so that the second axis 200 is substantially perpendicular to the first axis 100.
Advantageously, the third body 31 has a slot 32 along almost its entire length, the slot 32 being adapted to slidingly engage the undulated projection 19.
It should be noted that the slot 32 is designed to cause mutual approaching/spacing between the first and second jaws 12, 22 during the sliding of the third body 31 in the seats 27a, 27 b.
To this end, the slot 32 is inclined with respect to the second axis 200, which allows to transform the sliding movement of the third body 31 with respect to the second body 20 (parallel to the second axis 200) into a translation of the second body 20 with respect to the elongated element 11 (parallel to the first axis 100).
Further, a head 33 is formed at one end of the third body 31, and hammering thereof is promoted by pressing in the seats 27a, 27 b.
The use of the clamp according to the invention is simple and intuitive.
Initially, the jig 1 is assembled by slidingly coupling the second body 20 to the first body 10.
More precisely, the coupling occurs by inserting and sliding the parallel guides 13a, 13b of the first body 10 in the channels formed on the second body 20 by the four blocks 23a, 23b, 23c, 23 d.
At this point the clip 1 is ready to be secured to the reinforcing section bars of the component 51, 61 or two adjacent formwork panels 50, 60.
The operator brings the first jaw 12 and the second jaw 22 into contact with the members 51, 61, noting that the first 17a, 17b and the second 25a, 25b gripping portions abut correctly against the members 51, 61 and that the first 18a, 18b and the second 26a, 26b teeth are inserted in the slots 52, 62.
Then, the operator inserts the third body 31 into the seats 27a, 27b, and hammers the third body 31 by pressing in the seats.
As already explained above, the insertion of the third body 31 in the seats 27a, 27b causes the clamping of the first and second jaws 12, 22 and the locking of the clamp 1.
It should be noted that the elongated elements 11 form a static support for the parts 51, 61, which results in a perfectly flat formwork surface and does not create undesirable level differences between the formwork panels 50, 60, which is obviously reflected on the final concrete surface.
In practice it has been found that the invention achieves the intended aim and objects, providing a clamp for formwork panels of vertical pourers which ensures an effective locking and perfect positioning of the formwork panels.
The elongated element of the first body of the clip according to the invention in fact allows to obtain the correct mutual alignment of the formwork panels, while the two jaws and the locking means ensure their mutual adhesion.
In relation to the last aspect, it should be noted that in the clamp according to the invention, the two jaws exert the same clamping action.
Further, the jig according to the present invention can be simply and quickly coupled to the formwork panel without tightening bolts or the like.
Another important advantage of the clamp according to the present invention is that it has a structure to reduce the operations required to provide the clamp, thereby reducing costs while maintaining excellent efficiency and high reliability.
The clamp for formwork of vertical casting according to the present invention may have many modifications and variants, all within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.
In practice, the materials used, as well as the dimensions and shapes, may of course be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
