Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
The descriptions of "first," "second," and the like in this disclosure are intended to refer to different objects and are not intended to be used as an indication of size or timing, unless otherwise indicated.
Fig. 1 illustrates a flow diagram of a paging collision resolution method according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method may be performed, for example, by a paging collision resolution device.
As shown in FIG. 1, the method of this embodiment includes steps 101-107.
In step 101, a communication network device corresponding to each of a plurality of SIM cards of a user equipment sends a first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network device to the user equipment.
In some embodiments, the first paging conflict resolution supported by the sent communication network device may be, for example, identification information of the first paging conflict resolution agreed by both the communication network device and the user device, for example, a number of the scheme, and the like.
In some embodiments, the transmission opportunity for the communication network device to transmit the first paging collision resolution supported by the communication network device to the user device includes: in the case that a new user equipment is registered to the communication network equipment, the communication network equipment transmits a first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network equipment to the new user equipment; or under the condition that an indication message for acquiring the first paging conflict solution sent by the user equipment is received, the communication network equipment sends the first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network equipment to the user equipment; alternatively, in case the first paging conflict resolution supported by the communication network device changes, the communication network device sends the updated first paging conflict resolution supported by the communication network device to the user device.
For example, when the user equipment registers in the communication network, the user equipment sends registration information to the communication network equipment, wherein the registration information may, for example, carry an indication message that the user equipment wants to acquire a first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to one or more SIM cards in a plurality of SIM cards of the user equipment. The communication network device may then send the first paging collision resolution supported by the respective communication network device to the user device, for example by means of sending registration acceptance information or by means of cell broadcast.
The first paging conflict solution may include, for example, one or more of the following: negotiating paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to each communication network device among the communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards; the user equipment reports paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the current SIM card; a paging conflict solution for increasing the paging times of the SIM card of the user equipment; alternatively, different SIM cards employ different paging cycle paging conflict resolution schemes, but are not limited to the illustrated example.
In step 102, the user equipment receives information of first paging conflict solutions sent by each communication network device, so as to obtain one or more first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network device corresponding to each SIM card.
In step 103, the user equipment obtains one or more second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment itself.
The second paging conflict resolution scheme may include, for example, one or more of the following: the user equipment sets the paging conflict solution of the receiving link between the user equipment and the communication network equipment corresponding to each SIM card; the user equipment reports paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the current SIM card; the user equipment monitors the paging conflict solution of the paging channels of the communication network equipment corresponding to different SIM cards in a time-division monitoring mode; alternatively, different SIM cards employ different paging cycle paging conflict resolution schemes, but are not limited to the illustrated example.
In step 104, for any one of the plurality of SIM cards, the user equipment selects a target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment.
According to the self requirement, the user equipment selects a target paging conflict solution from the first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to each SIM card and the second paging conflict solution supported by the user equipment, so that the situation that the paging conflict solution selected by the user equipment is the paging conflict solution which is not supported by the communication network corresponding to the SIM card is avoided, and the paging conflict problem can be effectively solved.
In some embodiments, the selection policy for selecting the target paging conflict resolution for the first SIM card may be, for example: and selecting the paging conflict solution matched with the support information from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment as a target paging conflict solution of the first SIM card according to the set support information. Wherein, the support information is: the paging conflict solution requires support of the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card, or the paging conflict solution requires support of the user device, or the paging conflict solution requires both support of the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card and support of the user device.
For example, all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card are: the communication network equipment increases the paging conflict solution to the paging times of the first SIM card of the user equipment, and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment are as follows: the user equipment sets up the paging conflict solution of the receiving link between the communication network equipment corresponding to each SIM card. Assume that the setting support information is: the paging collision solution requires support of the communication network device to which the first SIM card corresponds. Since the "paging conflict solution for increasing the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment" is a paging conflict solution matched with the set support information, the "paging conflict solution for increasing the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment" may be selected as the target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card.
In other embodiments, the selection policy for selecting the target paging conflict resolution for the first SIM card may be, for example: and the user equipment selects a target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment according to the conflict solution effect. Among other things, conflict resolution effects include avoiding conflicts and reducing conflicts.
For example, all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card are as follows: negotiating paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to each communication network device among the communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards; the user equipment reports paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the first SIM card; a paging conflict solution for increasing the paging times of the SIM card of the user equipment; different SIM cards employ different paging cycle paging collision solutions. All second paging collision solutions supported by the ue are as follows: the user equipment sets the paging conflict solution of the receiving link between the user equipment and the communication network equipment corresponding to each SIM card; the user equipment reports paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the current SIM card; the user equipment monitors the paging conflict solution of the paging channels of the communication network equipment corresponding to different SIM cards in a time-division monitoring mode; and, different SIM cards employ different paging collision solutions for the paging cycle. If the conflict resolution effect preset by the user equipment is to avoid the conflict, the target conflict resolution scheme selected by the user equipment for the first SIM card comprises the following steps: negotiating paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to each communication network device among the communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards, or reporting the paging conflict solutions of the paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the first SIM card by the user equipment, or setting the paging conflict solutions of receiving links between the user equipment and the communication network devices corresponding to each SIM card by the user equipment independently. If the conflict resolution effect preset by the user equipment is to reduce the conflict, the target conflict resolution scheme selected by the user equipment for the first SIM card comprises the following steps: the user equipment monitors the paging conflict solution of the paging channels of the communication network equipment corresponding to different SIM cards in a time division monitoring mode, or the paging conflict solution of different paging cycles is adopted by different SIM cards, or the paging conflict solution of paging times of the SIM cards of the user equipment is increased.
In still other embodiments, the selection policy for selecting the target paging conflict resolution for the first SIM card may be, for example: and the user equipment selects a target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment according to whether the matching of the communication network equipment corresponding to the second SIM card in the plurality of SIM cards is needed. In some embodiments, the user equipment preferentially selects a matched paging conflict solution which does not need the communication network equipment corresponding to the second SIM card from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment as a target paging conflict solution of the first SIM card. Compared with the paging conflict solution which needs to be matched with other communication network equipment, in the embodiment, the paging conflict solution which does not need to be matched with other communication network equipment is more efficient, and the efficient paging conflict solution is selected, so that resources of other communication network equipment (namely the communication network equipment corresponding to the second SIM card) can be saved, and the problem of waste of communication network resources is avoided.
The paging conflict solution which needs to be matched with the communication network equipment corresponding to the second SIM card comprises a scheme that the paging conflict solution of the paging occasion corresponding to each communication network equipment is negotiated between the communication network equipment corresponding to different SIM cards, and other schemes do not need to be matched with the communication network equipment corresponding to the second SIM card. The user equipment may then, for example, preferably select a coordinated paging collision solution that does not require the communication network device to which the second SIM card corresponds as the target paging collision solution for the first SIM card, i.e. selecting the target paging collision solution may, for example, comprise: negotiating paging conflict solutions of paging occasions corresponding to each communication network device between communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards, or reporting the paging conflict solutions of the paging occasions corresponding to other SIM cards except the first SIM card by the user device, or increasing the paging conflict solutions of paging times of the SIM cards of the user device, or adopting the paging conflict solutions of different paging cycles by different SIM cards, or setting the paging conflict solutions of receiving links between the user device and the communication network devices corresponding to each SIM card by the user device, or monitoring the paging conflict solutions of paging channels of the communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards by the user device in a time-division monitoring mode.
In still other embodiments, the selection policy for selecting the target paging conflict resolution for the first SIM card may be, for example: and the user equipment selects a target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment according to whether the second SIM card in the plurality of SIM cards still needs to solve the paging conflict. In some embodiments, the user equipment may preferably select, from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment, a solution that resolves paging conflicts of the first SIM card and the second SIM card at the same time, for example, as the target paging conflict solution of the first SIM card. In the above embodiment, the solution for simultaneously resolving paging conflicts of multiple SIM cards is preferentially selected compared to the solution for individually selecting a target paging conflict solution for each SIM card, so that other SIM cards do not need to additionally resolve paging conflicts, and the solution for simultaneously resolving paging conflicts of multiple SIM cards is more efficient. By selecting the efficient solution of the paging conflict, resources of other communication network devices (namely, communication network devices corresponding to the second SIM card) can be saved, and the problem of waste of communication network resources is avoided.
Wherein if a paging conflict solution is selected for the first SIM card that increases the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment, a second SIM card of the plurality of SIM cards also needs to resolve the paging conflict. If a solution other than the paging conflict solution that increases the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment is selected for the first SIM card, the second SIM card of the plurality of SIM cards does not need to resolve the paging conflict. Thus, the user equipment may preferably select a solution for simultaneously resolving paging conflicts of the first SIM card and the second SIM card as the target paging conflict solution for the first SIM card, i.e., select other solutions than the paging conflict solution for increasing the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment as the target paging conflict solution to resolve paging conflicts of all SIM cards.
In still other embodiments, the selection policy for selecting the target paging conflict resolution for the first SIM card may be, for example: the user equipment selects the paging conflict solution with highest efficiency from all first paging conflict solutions supported by the communication network equipment corresponding to the first SIM card and all second paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment as a target paging conflict solution of the first SIM card.
For example, for conflict resolution problems, the efficiency of a first paging conflict resolution supported by a communication network device (e.g., a paging conflict resolution that negotiates paging occasions for each communication network device between communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards) is higher than the efficiency of a second paging conflict resolution supported by a user device (e.g., a paging conflict resolution that the user device individually sets its receive link between communication network devices corresponding to each SIM card). The first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network equipment with higher efficiency is selected as the target paging conflict solution of the first SIM card, so that the user equipment can not only effectively solve the paging conflict of the SIM card, but also avoid wasting the resources of the user equipment, for example, the user equipment does not need to allocate a special receiving link for different communication network equipment.
For another example, in the first paging conflict solution supported by the communication network device, the efficiency of negotiating the paging conflict solution of the paging occasion corresponding to each communication network device between the communication network devices corresponding to different SIM cards is higher than the efficiency of the paging conflict solution of increasing the paging times to the SIM cards of the user device. In this case, the user equipment can effectively solve the paging collision, and simultaneously can save the resources of the communication network equipment as much as possible, thereby avoiding the waste of the resources of the communication network equipment.
In step 105, the user equipment determines whether the selected target paging conflict resolution is a first paging conflict resolution supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card.
If the selected target paging conflict resolution is the first paging conflict resolution supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card, the user equipment notifies the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card of the information of the target paging conflict resolution, and resolves the paging conflict of the first SIM card by using the target paging conflict resolution in step 106.
For example, if the target paging conflict resolution selected for the first SIM card is a paging conflict resolution (i.e., a first paging conflict resolution) that increases the number of pages to the SIM card of the user equipment because the paging conflict resolution is supported by the communication network device to which the first SIM card corresponds, the user equipment is required to notify the communication network device to which the first SIM card corresponds of the selected target paging conflict resolution so that the user equipment and the communication network device to which the first SIM card corresponds commonly utilize the target paging conflict resolution to resolve the paging conflict of the first SIM card.
If the selected target paging conflict resolution is not the first paging conflict resolution supported by the communication network device corresponding to the first SIM card, indicating that the selected target paging conflict resolution is the second paging conflict resolution supported by the user equipment, at step 107, at which point the user equipment resolves the paging conflict of the first SIM card using the target paging conflict resolution.
For example, the selected target paging conflict resolution is a paging conflict resolution in which the user equipment individually sets a receiving link between the user equipment and the communication network equipment corresponding to each SIM card (i.e., only a second paging conflict resolution supported by the user equipment is required), and the target conflict resolution can be directly performed by the user equipment after the selection without notifying the communication network equipment of the selected target paging conflict resolution.
In the above embodiment, the user equipment acquires the paging conflict solution supported by the communication network device corresponding to each SIM card, combines the paging conflict solutions supported by the user equipment, selects one target paging conflict solution, and if necessary, notifies the corresponding communication network device of the selected target paging conflict solution, so as to avoid the situation that the paging conflict solution selected by the user equipment is not supported by the communication network corresponding to the SIM card, thereby effectively solving the paging conflict problem. In addition, the problem of wasting user equipment and network resources caused by the user equipment selecting an inefficient paging conflict solution in the case of efficient paging conflict solution selection is avoided.
In the following, some exemplary embodiments are given.
Assume that the user equipment is a multi-card user equipment having two SIM cards corresponding to communication network a and communication network B, respectively. There are four paging collision solutions that the communication network device can avoid/reduce paging collisions, e.g. denoted as scheme 1, scheme 2, scheme 3 and scheme 4, respectively. The scheme 1 adopts a method for increasing the paging times of the user equipment, so that the influence of paging conflict on the paging of the communication network can be reduced under the condition of no participation of the user equipment, for example, a core network of the communication network equipment indicates an access network to increase the paging times of the user equipment, and the scheme 1 does not need cooperation among different communication networks; the scheme 2 adopts, for example, allocating different paging cycles for access networks corresponding to different communication network devices, and can reduce paging collision through cooperation of the communication network devices and the user devices, the scheme 2 does not need cooperation among different communication networks, and if the current communication network adopts the scheme 2, paging collision in a plurality of communication networks can be reduced simultaneously; scheme 3, for example, adopts a method of negotiating paging occasions between communication networks (for example, when a plurality of communication network devices belong to the same operator), and allocates different paging occasions for user devices in different communication networks, so that paging collision can be avoided without participation of the user devices, and scheme 3 requires cooperation between a plurality of communication networks; in the scheme 4, for example, paging collision is avoided by adopting cooperation of the network and the user equipment, for example, the user equipment reports paging occasions of other communication network equipment to the current communication network equipment, cooperation among different communication networks is not needed in the scheme 4, and if the scheme 4 is adopted by the current communication network, the paging collision in a plurality of communication networks can be avoided simultaneously.
In some embodiments, for example, communication network device a supports schemes 1 and 2, and communication network device B does not support any schemes. Assuming that the ue is first registered in the communication network device a after the ue is powered on, the registration accept message sent by the communication network device a to the ue carries information {1,2} of scheme 1 and scheme 2. The user equipment is registered in the communication network equipment B again, and the registration acceptance message sent to the user equipment by the communication network equipment B does not carry indication information or carry information {0}.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the user equipment wants to reduce the influence of the paging collision on the paging sent by the communication network equipment a and the paging sent by the communication network equipment B, for example, scheme 2 is selected as the scheme for reducing the paging collision. The user equipment performs re-registration in the communication network equipment a, the re-registration message carries information {2} of scheme 2, and then interaction between the user equipment and the communication network equipment required by scheme 2 is performed. The user equipment does not need any operation in the communication network device B. In this way, the user equipment can select the scheme to achieve the expected effect of reducing paging collision.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the user equipment wants to avoid paging collision, and thus chooses to solve the problem of paging collision by itself, for example, allocating different communication links to the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B to receive the pages of the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B, respectively. Then the user equipment does not need any operation in the communication network device a and the communication network device B. Thus, the scheme selected by the user equipment can achieve the expected effect of avoiding paging collision.
In some embodiments, for example, communication network device a and communication network device B belong to the same operator, and the current cell in which the user device is located does not support any paging conflict resolution. The user equipment is registered in the communication network equipment A and the communication network equipment B in sequence, and the communication network equipment A and the communication network equipment B do not carry scheme information or carry information {0} in the registration acceptance message.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the user equipment wants to solve the paging collision problem by itself, for example, different dedicated receiving links are allocated to the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B, respectively. Then the user equipment does not need any operation in the communication network device a and the communication network device B.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the operator upgrades the communication network device so that a part of the cells cooperate with the communication network device to support scheme 3. Then, in case the location of the user equipment moves to the cell supporting scheme 3, at this time, the communication network equipment transmits the updated information {3} of the paging collision resolution scheme 3 supported by the communication network equipment to the user equipment. For example, the communication network device may carry the information {3} of the scheme 3 in the cell broadcast message, or the communication network device triggers a procedure of configuration update of the user equipment through the AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function ) device, where the update information carries the information {3} of the scheme 3. Then, the user equipment selects scheme 3 as a scheme for avoiding paging collision after receiving information {3} of scheme 3 transmitted from communication network equipment a and communication network equipment B. The user equipment performs re-registration in the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B respectively, and the re-registration message carries information {3} of the scheme 3. At the same time, the user equipment can reclaim the dedicated receiving links allocated to the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B, so that hardware resources of the user equipment (e.g., dedicated receiving link resources are allocated) can be saved, and the saved receiving link resources can be used in the same communication network equipment, thereby enhancing the receiving performance of the communication network equipment.
In some embodiments, for example, communication network device a supports scheme 4 and communication network device B of the current cell in which the user device is located supports only scheme 1. The user equipment is successively registered in the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B, and the communication network equipment a and the communication network equipment B respectively carry information {4} of the scheme 4 and information {1} of the scheme 1 in a registration acceptance message.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the user equipment wants to reduce paging collision, and the user equipment selects scheme 4 as a scheme for reducing paging collision. Then the user equipment re-registers in the communication network device a, the registration message carrying information {4} of scheme 4. The user equipment does not need any operation in the communication network device B.
In the above embodiment, it is assumed that the user equipment moves to a cell where the communication network equipment B supports scheme 2. For example, the communication network device B cell broadcast message carries information {2} of scheme 2, or the communication network device triggers a configuration update procedure of the user device through the AMF device, and the update information carries information {2} of scheme 2. Then, the user equipment receives the information {2} of scheme 2 sent from the communication network equipment B, and selects scheme 2 as a scheme for reducing paging collision. The user equipment firstly performs re-registration in the communication network equipment B, the re-registration message carries the scheme information {2}, then performs re-registration in the communication network equipment A, and the re-registration message does not carry any scheme information or carries {0}. Scheme 4 can avoid paging collision, but requires frequent interaction between user equipment and network, and has lower efficiency, while scheme 2 can reduce paging collision, and does not require frequent interaction between user equipment and network, and has higher efficiency. The scheme for reducing paging conflict selected by the user equipment is changed from the scheme 4 to the scheme 2, so that resources of the user equipment and the communication network equipment are saved.
In the above embodiment, through the cooperation between the user equipment and the communication network equipment, the possibility of paging collision of different communication network equipment corresponding to the multi-card user equipment is reduced or avoided, and the problem of paging collision is effectively solved. And resources of the user equipment and the communication network equipment are saved.
