Detailed Description
Various embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Here, it is to be noted that, in the drawings, the same reference numerals are given to constituent parts having substantially the same or similar structures and functions, and repeated description thereof will be omitted. The term "sequentially comprising A, B, C, etc" merely indicates the order of the included elements A, B, C, etc. and does not exclude the possibility of including other elements between a and B and/or between B and C.
The drawings in the present specification are schematic views to assist in explaining the concept of the present invention, and schematically show the shapes of respective portions and their mutual relationships.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 1 and 2.
The variable frequency control system for a people conveyor according to the invention comprises a control panel 1. The frequency converter 2 is communicatively connected to the control panel 1 and to the drive 3 of the people conveyor. For example, the frequency converter is connected to the control panel or the drive via a wireless or wired manner. The control panel can monitor the operational state of the frequency converter, for example, whether a fault occurs or not. The driver is used for driving the personnel conveying equipment to operate. The light curtain 4 is arranged on the entry side of the people conveyor and is connected in communication with the frequency converter. Advantageously, the light curtains are arranged on opposite sides of the people conveyor, so that when the direction of travel of the people conveyor changes, it is also possible to detect whether a passenger has entered the people conveyor using the light curtains.
In the case where no passenger uses the people conveyor, i.e. the people conveyor is not loaded, the light curtain does not detect that a passenger enters the people conveyor, and the frequency converter controls the people conveyor via the drive to operate at the standby speed. Under the condition that the light curtain detects that passengers enter the personnel conveying equipment, the light curtain sends a detected signal to the frequency converter, and the frequency converter receives the signal and controls the running speed of the personnel conveying equipment to be increased from the standby speed to the rated speed through the driver, so that the passengers are conveyed at a higher speed. The light curtain advantageously detects whether a passenger uses the people conveyor at a predetermined frequency.
The nominal speed can be set by predetermined parameters of the frequency converter, whereby by setting the predetermined parameters of the frequency converter the nominal speed of the people conveyor can be changed.
The frequency converter and the light curtain may be pre-assembled together to form a pre-fabricated assembly, such that the frequency conversion function is provided to the people conveyor merely by connecting the frequency converter to the control panel and the drive.
After the people conveyor runs for a preset time at the rated speed, if the light curtain does not detect that passengers use the people conveyor, the frequency converter controls the running speed of the people conveyor to be reduced from the rated speed to the standby speed through the driver. The predetermined time may be determined by a timer of the frequency converter.
In this way, the operating speed of the people conveyor is changed by connecting the frequency converter to the control panel and by controlling the drive by the frequency converter, without the need for the control panel to control the drive to change the operating speed of the people conveyor, in short, the operating speed of the people conveyor is controlled by the frequency converter and not by the control panel. Therefore, the time for transforming the personnel conveying equipment is saved, and the personnel conveying equipment can be adapted to various different personnel conveying equipment. In addition, the frequency converter and the light curtain are preassembled, so that the field installation time is reduced, and the cost is saved.
Fig. 2 shows a flow chart of a method for providing a people conveyor with a frequency conversion function.
In step 101, a control panel is provided, which may be the control panel of the people conveyor itself. Next, at step 102, a frequency converter communicatively connected to the control panel and the drive of the people conveyor and a light curtain disposed at the entrance side of the people conveyor and communicatively connected with the frequency converter are provided. The frequency converter is configured to operate at a standby speed by controlling the people conveyor through the driver without using the people conveyor by passengers, and the light curtain sends a signal to the frequency converter when detecting that the people conveyor is used by passengers, and the frequency converter receives the signal and then controls the operating speed of the people conveyor through the driver to increase from the standby speed to a rated speed.
The above description is merely illustrative of the present invention, which is set forth to enable one of ordinary skill in the art to fully practice the present invention, and not to limit the present invention. The technical features disclosed above are not limited to the combinations with other features disclosed, and other combinations between the technical features can be performed by those skilled in the art according to the purpose of the invention, so as to achieve the purpose of the invention.
