Description

Method for determining search characters and display device
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of data processing, and in particular, to a method and a display device for determining search characters.
Background
Currently, when a user wants to view a video of interest on a display device, the display device may be controlled by a remote control device to display a search page that includes a search bar control and a plurality of character controls. Thereafter, a search character selected from the plurality of character controls may be entered in the search bar control by the remote control device to cause the display device to search for media assets based on the search character in the search bar control.
In the related art, a search control is displayed on a display device, and a user can control a cursor of a remote control device to be placed on the search control and perform a selection operation on a confirmation key on the remote control device. At this time, the display device will receive a confirmation instruction for the search plug-in, based on which the display device may display a search page including a search bar control and a plurality of character controls. And then, the user can control the cursor of the remote control device to move on the plurality of character controls, and a confirmation instruction for the character control corresponding to the current cursor is triggered by executing a selection operation on a confirmation key on the remote control device. When the display device receives a confirmation instruction for the character control corresponding to the current cursor, the character corresponding to the character control corresponding to the current cursor can be displayed in the search bar control.
However, since the user needs to perform a selection operation consecutively a plurality of times through the direction key and the confirm key on the remote control device before the search page is displayed by the display device, the confirm instruction for the search control can be triggered. In this way, after the display device displays the search page, the display device may directly receive the confirmation instruction of the character control corresponding to the current cursor by default because the user's inertial operation may continue to perform the selection operation on the confirmation key with a high probability, and then display the character as a search character in the search bar control, where the search character is highly likely not a character that the user wants to input, so that the user needs to perform other operations to delete the search character, and further the efficiency of searching media resources by the display device is reduced.

The method for determining the search character provided by the embodiment of the application is described next.
Fig. 6 is a flowchart of a method for determining a search character according to an embodiment of the present application, which is applied to a display device, which may be the display device 200 shown in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 6, the method comprises the steps of:
step 601: and the display equipment responds to receiving the search instruction, and displays a search page, wherein the search page comprises a search bar control and a plurality of character controls.
In the embodiment of the application, if the display device receives the search instruction, the search page can be displayed in response to the search instruction. The search instruction is a confirmation instruction which is triggered by the control device and aims at a search control displayed on the display device. The control device may be a remote control device, a keyboard, or the like, which can control the display device.
In some embodiments, after the display device is turned on, a home page may be displayed, which includes a search control. The control device comprises a direction key and a confirmation key, and when a user performs a selection operation on the direction key of the control device, the position of the selector corresponds to the displayed search control, and further the selection operation is performed on the confirmation key of the control device. At this time, the display device may receive the search instruction, and thereafter, the display device may display the search page. The selector may be a cursor corresponding to the control device.
In some embodiments, after the display device is turned on, a main page as shown in fig. 7 may be displayed, where the main page includes: search control 701, as well as a plurality of media asset controls, navigation bars, and the like. Wherein the navigation bar includes a plurality of channel controls, such as "news", "movie", "kids", and the like. In some embodiments, the method may further include a sub-navigation bar, where the sub-navigation bar includes different sub-channel controls when displaying different channels, for example, sub-channel controls such as "select", "knowledge", "customize", etc., so that the sub-navigation bar may be displayed on one side of the screen, and after the user enters a specific channel, the user may quickly locate the media asset that he/she wants to see through the sub-navigation bar. The media asset control may include a presentation control for presenting media asset 1 or media asset 2, and may also include an operation control for "history", "my collection".
In some embodiments, after the display device displays the main page, when the user corresponds the position where the selector is located on the search control 701 by performing a selection operation on the direction key of the control device, and further performs a selection operation on the confirm key of the control device, the display device may receive a search instruction.
In some embodiments, the search instruction may also be triggered by a preset search button or voice instruction.
In some embodiments, after receiving the search instruction, the display device may display a search page as shown in fig. 8, where the search page includes: search bar control 801, multiple characters control 802, history control 803, trending search control 804, control 805. The search bar control is used for displaying characters corresponding to the virtual keys selected by the user, and the character control is used for displaying characters which the user needs to input, and in some embodiments, the search bar control can be a full-character virtual keyboard or a non-full-character virtual keyboard. The history control is used for displaying characters searched by a user, the popular search control is used for displaying recommended media data, and the control is used for controlling switching of the virtual keyboard or characters displayed in the search bar control 801.
In some embodiments, after the characters in the search bar control change, a search instruction containing embedded characters is sent to the server.
In some embodiments, the search instruction is a confirmation instruction for the search control received by the selector when the selector is at the position of the search control, the confirmation instruction being a confirmation key value generated by triggering a confirmation key by the remote control, the first instruction being a confirmation instruction generated by triggering the confirmation key by the remote control when the selector is at the position of the character control. The third instruction may be other instructions generated by triggering other keys by the remote control.
Step 602: the display device receives an input first instruction.
The first instruction refers to a confirmation instruction triggered by the control device and aiming at a target character control, wherein the target character control is one character control in a plurality of character controls.
It should be noted that, after the display device displays the search page, the default position of the selector corresponds to one of the plurality of character controls, that is, when the user does not perform the selection operation on the direction key of the control device, the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display device starts to display the search page.
In the embodiment of the application, after the display device displays the search page, when the first instruction is received, the current time when the first instruction is received can be determined. Thereafter, the display device may subtract the current time by the time at which the display device starts displaying the search page, thereby obtaining a difference between the current time and the time at which the display device starts displaying the search page. The current time may be a time corresponding to a clock system of the display device when the first instruction is received, and in some embodiments, the current time may also be a world time when the first instruction is received. Based on the time when the search page is displayed, it is possible to better distinguish whether the user is intended to input characters or to repeatedly confirm the intended of the previous instruction.
It should be noted that the display device may also acquire the time when the search instruction is received, and use the time as the time when the display device starts displaying the search page. The time when the display device starts to display the search page may be the time corresponding to the clock system of the display device when the search instruction is received, and in some embodiments, the time when the display device starts to display the search page may also be the world time when the search instruction is received.
In some embodiments, assuming that the clock hierarchy of the display device corresponds to 14 hours 24 minutes 16 seconds when the first instruction is received, the display device starts displaying the search page for 14 hours 24 minutes 12 seconds. Thereafter, the display device may subtract the current time by the time at which the display device starts displaying the search page, thereby obtaining a difference between the current time and the time at which the display device starts displaying the search page as 4 seconds.
In some embodiments, the time difference may be the difference between the current time and a preset reference time. In some embodiments, the preset reference time may be the time when the search instruction is received or the time when the search interface is displayed, or may be any point in time between when the instruction is received and when the search interface is displayed.
In some embodiments, the time difference may be the difference between the current time and the time at which the search instruction was received by the display.
In some embodiments, if the display device receives a third instruction, a preset operation corresponding to the third instruction is performed, where the third instruction refers to an instruction other than the first instruction.
In this case, when the display device detects a third instruction other than the first instruction, it is explained that the selector is in the default position, the user does not perform the selection operation with respect to the confirm key of the control device. But rather performs a selection operation for other keys on the control device, for example: direction keys, number keys, etc. At this time, the user is moving the position of the selector, that is, changing the character corresponding to the selector to select the character to be input, so that the display device can directly respond to the received third instruction to perform the preset operation corresponding to the third instruction.
In some embodiments, the third instruction may be other instructions than the first instruction.
In some embodiments, the display device may determine whether the first instruction or the third instruction is input by the user, then perform the determination of the time difference when the first instruction, and directly respond to the third instruction when the third instruction, without performing the determination of the time difference.
In some embodiments, after receiving the instruction, determining a time difference is performed, and when the time difference meets the requirement, directly executing the corresponding operation, where the time difference meets the requirement means that the time difference is greater than the reference response duration. And when the time difference does not meet the requirement, distinguishing the first instruction from the third instruction, if the first instruction is the first instruction, not executing the corresponding operation, and if the third instruction is the third instruction, executing the operation corresponding to the third instruction, wherein the time difference not meeting the requirement means that the time difference is smaller than or equal to the reference response time length.
Step 603: and when the difference between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is greater than the reference response time, the display device displays the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
In the embodiment of the application, after the display device determines the difference between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page, the difference can be compared with the reference response time length, and whether the character corresponding to the target character control is displayed in the search bar control is determined according to the comparison result.
It should be noted that, before the display device displays the search page, the reference response time period may be acquired. When the display device is turned on for the first time, the reference response time length is not stored in the display device, and in this case, before the search page is displayed, the display device may acquire the reference response time length from the server and store the reference response time length. Thus, when the display device is not turned on for the first time, the reference response time length is stored in the display device, and the stored reference response time length can be directly obtained.
In some embodiments, the reference response time period may also be determined based on an operation history of the display device that correctly completes the first character entry after the search interface is displayed. In this case, the display device may record the time difference from when the search page starts to be displayed to when the first character is displayed in the search bar control, that is, the time difference from when the search page starts to be displayed to when the user correctly completes the first character entry. In this way, the display device may acquire a preset number of operation histories, determine an average time difference of the plurality of operation histories according to the plurality of operation histories and the preset number, and use the average time difference as the reference response time length.
In the embodiment of the application, when the difference is greater than or equal to the reference response time, the time interval between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is longer, that is, the time interval between the detection of the first instruction and the search instruction by the display device is longer, the time interval between the selection operation executed by the user for the search control and the selection operation executed by the user for the target character control can be determined to be longer. Because the time interval between the inertial operations is generally shorter, the selection operation performed by the user on the target character control is very likely not performed due to the inertial operation of the user, that is, the first instruction received by the display device is very likely not triggered due to the inertial operation of the user, at this time, the character corresponding to the target character control is the character that the user wants to input, and the display device can display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, assuming that the difference is 4s, the reference response time is 3s, and the character corresponding to the target character control is the character "P", at this time, the display device determines that the difference is greater than the reference response time, and may display the character "P" in the search bar control as shown in fig. 9.
In addition, after the display device displays the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control, if an input second instruction is received, the reference response time period may be updated in response to the second instruction. The second instruction is a deleting instruction which is triggered by the control device and aims at the target characters displayed in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, the display device may replace the reference response time period with the difference value, thereby obtaining an updated reference response time period, and store the updated reference response time period.
It should be noted that, since the time intervals of the inertial operations are different for each user, even if the difference is greater than or equal to the reference response time period, there is still a possibility that the first instruction received by the display device is triggered due to the inertial operations of the user. In this case, when the display device receives the second instruction, it is indicated that the first instruction received by the display device is triggered due to the inertial operation of the user, and it may be determined that the reference response duration is shorter for the time interval of the inertial operation of the user of the display device, so that the reference response duration may be updated, so that the reference response duration is more suitable for the user of the display device.
In some embodiments, continuing with the example shown in fig. 9, after the display device displays the character "P" in the search bar control, a second instruction is received, at this time, the display device may replace the reference response duration with the difference value, and obtain and store the updated reference response duration as 4 s.
In other embodiments, the duration threshold is stored in the display device, where the reference response duration may be added to the duration threshold, so as to obtain an updated reference response duration, and the updated reference response duration is stored.
In some embodiments, the detection of the time is only started at the time of the display interface, and after the preset duration is exceeded or the third instruction is input by the user, the detection of the timing is canceled, and the judgment of the time difference is not performed any more and is directly in response to the input of the user.
In some embodiments, continuing the foregoing example, the duration threshold is 1s, and after the display device displays the character "P" in the search bar control, the display device receives the second instruction, at this time, the display device may add the duration threshold to the reference response, and obtain and store the updated reference response duration as 4 s.
In some embodiments, the display device may record a corresponding difference each time a delete operation is detected after displaying the target character in the search bar control. In this case, when the number of the stored plurality of differences reaches the update threshold, the display device may acquire the stored plurality of differences to determine the reference response time period from the plurality of differences and the update threshold. In some embodiments, an average difference value of the plurality of difference values may be used as a reference response time period, and optionally, a maximum value of the plurality of difference values may also be used as a reference response time period.
In some embodiments, in this case, when the user performs the selection operation on the direction key of the control device, the position where the selector is located corresponds to the deletion control, and further performs the selection operation on the confirm key of the control device, the display device may receive the second instruction, and delete the target character displayed in the search bar control as shown in fig. 10.
In some embodiments, the confirmation operation of the character control at the default focus position by the user is not responded in the preset response time after the search page is displayed in response to receiving the search instruction, but other operations, such as a direction key instruction for controlling focus movement, a return instruction for exiting the display interface, a voice key instruction for triggering voice operation, and the like, are responded. After the preset response time, the display device responds to all the input instructions.
In some embodiments, it is desirable to determine the position of the selector after receiving the instruction, and if the selector is still in the default position, it is determined for the target character control at the default position to be output in the search bar control or not. If the selector is not in the default position, the display device receives the direction key value, so that the position of the selector is moved, which is different from the operation that the user enters the search interface before (entering the search interface needs to accept the confirmation operation, in some embodiments, the user presses the key corresponding to the confirmation operation, such as the confirmation key or the OK key, so that the false triggering phenomenon does not occur, and therefore, the confirmation operation can be directly performed, the corresponding character is displayed in the search bar control, and the search request is triggered to the server. If the selector is still in the default position, the received confirmation operation may be that the user should trigger the target character control, that is, the character in the default position is that the user needs to input the character, or may be that the user does not trigger the user after performing the confirmation operation after confirming that the user enters the search interface, so that the user needs to limit the preset response time.
In some embodiments, the type of the received instruction may be distinguished after the user receives the instruction, and then the first instruction is judged to be the preset response time, and other instructions are directly responded; and for the first instruction, if the first instruction is after the preset response time, directly responding, if the selector is still required to be judged to be at the default position within the preset response time, if so, not displaying the first instruction in the search bar control, and if not, displaying the first instruction in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, the type of the received instruction may be distinguished after the user receives the instruction, then the first instruction is judged to be the selector position, and other instructions are directly responded; if the default position is no longer available, the method directly responds, if the default position is still needed to judge whether the default position is within the preset response time, if yes, the default position is not displayed on the search bar control, and if not, the default position is displayed on the search bar control.
In some embodiments, the user may first determine the preset response time after receiving the instruction, then distinguish the first instruction from the third instruction when the preset response time is within, and determine the default position for the first instruction, where the third instruction directly responds; if not in the default position, it is not displayed in the search bar control, and if not in the default position, it is displayed in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, the user may first determine the preset response time after receiving the instruction, directly respond after the preset response time, and then determine the default position when the preset response time is within; if the first instruction or the third instruction is in the default position, the first instruction or the third instruction is required to be distinguished, and if the first instruction or the third instruction is not in the default position, the first instruction or the third instruction is directly responded; the first instruction at the default position is not displayed in the search bar control and the third instruction at the default position is responded.
In some embodiments, the user may first determine the default position after receiving the instruction, determine the preset response time period when the user is in the default position, and directly respond when the user is not in the default position; if the first instruction and the third instruction are required to be distinguished within the preset response time, the response of the instructions is directly carried out; the distinguished first instruction is not displayed in the search bar control, and the distinguished third instruction is directly responded.
In some embodiments, the user may first determine the default position after receiving the instruction, and then distinguish the first instruction from the third instruction when the user is in the default position, and not directly respond when the user is not in the default position; the distinguished third instruction directly responds, and the distinguished first instruction needs to judge the preset response time length; if the response time is longer than the preset response time, directly responding to the instruction; if the preset response time is within the preset response time, the search bar is not displayed.
In some embodiments, the preset response time period may be a preconfigured time period. Either automatically or manually configured.
Step 604: and when the difference value is smaller than the reference response time length, the display equipment does not display the characters corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, it may be determined whether to display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control based on the difference and the reference response time. In this case, when the difference value is smaller than the reference response time length, it is not necessary to determine the character corresponding to the target character control, that is, whether or not the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display device starts displaying the search page, the character corresponding to the target character control is not displayed in the search bar control.
In some embodiments, in other embodiments, it may be determined whether to display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control based on the difference, the reference response time length, and the character corresponding to the target character control. In this case, when the difference value is smaller than the reference response time period, it may be further determined whether the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display device starts displaying the search page.
And when the difference value is smaller than the reference response time length and the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display equipment starts to display the search page, not displaying the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control. And when the difference value is smaller than the reference response time length and the character corresponding to the target character control is not the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display equipment starts to display the search page, displaying the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
When the difference is smaller than the reference response time, the time interval between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is short, that is, the time interval between the display device detecting the first instruction and the search instruction is short, and at this time, the character corresponding to the target character control can be determined. When the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the search page starts to be displayed, the time interval between the selection operation executed by the user for the search control and the selection operation executed by the user for the target character control can be determined to be shorter. In this way, the selection operation performed by the user on the target character control is very likely to be performed due to the inertial operation of the user, that is, the first instruction received by the display device is triggered due to the inertial operation of the user, and the character corresponding to the target character control is very likely not the character that the user wants to input, so the display device may not display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
When the character corresponding to the target character control is not the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the search page starts to be displayed, the user can determine that the position of the selector is moved after the search page is displayed by the display device, so that the character corresponding to the position of the selector is the character which the user wants to input, and therefore the character corresponding to the target character control is the character which the user wants to input, and after the user executes the selection operation on the target character control, the display device can display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
As an example, the following applies the method for determining search characters provided by the embodiment of the present application to a display device for complete explanation.
As shown in fig. 11, when the display device is started for the first time, a reference response duration acquisition request may be sent to the server, and after the server receives the reference response duration acquisition request, the reference response duration may be sent to the display device. After the display device receives the reference response time returned by the server, the reference response time can be stored in the local, and then the display device can acquire the stored reference response time from the local before displaying the search page. In some embodiments, the display device may further obtain an operation history of the display device that correctly completes the first character entry after displaying the search interface, and further determine the reference response time according to the operation history.
The display device may display a home page upon activation, the home page including a search control. The user can execute a selection operation on the direction key of the control device to move the position of the selector to the search control, and execute the selection operation on the confirmation key of the control device, at this time, the display device can receive a search instruction, respond to the search instruction to display a search page, record the time of receiving the search instruction, and take the time as the time of starting to display the search page, wherein the search page comprises a search bar control and a plurality of character controls.
After the search page is displayed, if the display device receives a first instruction, namely a confirmation instruction which is triggered by the user through the control device and aims at a target character control, the target character control is one character control in a plurality of character controls. At this time, the display device may determine the current time, and determine a difference between the current time and the time when the search page starts to be displayed, and when the difference is smaller than the reference response time, may determine a character corresponding to the target character control, if the character corresponding to the target character control is a character corresponding to a default position of the selector when the display device starts to display the search page, the character corresponding to the target character control is not displayed in the search bar control, and if the character corresponding to the target character control is not a character corresponding to a default position of the selector when the display device starts to display the search page, the character corresponding to the target character control is displayed in the search bar control.
And when the difference is greater than or equal to the reference response time, the display equipment responds to the first instruction, namely, the characters corresponding to the target character control are displayed in the search bar control. And then, if the display device receives a second instruction, namely, a deleting instruction for the target character displayed in the search bar control triggered by the user through the control device is received, the display device can update the reference response time stored locally and delete the target character displayed in the search bar control.
When the user performs a selection operation with respect to the exit key of the control device, the display device may receive the exit instruction and display the main page in response to the exit instruction, or when the user performs a selection operation with respect to the shutdown key of the control device, the display device may receive the shutdown instruction and perform shutdown in response to the shutdown instruction. In this case, when the display device receives the search instruction, the search page may be displayed in response to the search instruction, and the stored reference response time period may be acquired locally before the search page is displayed, and then, whether or not to display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control may be determined with reference to the aforementioned method.
For the detailed implementation of fig. 11, reference may be made to the implementation of steps 601 to 603, which are not described herein.
In the embodiment of the application, after the first instruction for the target character control is received, the difference between the current time and the time for starting to display the search page can be determined, when the difference is smaller than the reference response time, the character corresponding to the target character control is not displayed in the search bar control, and when the difference is larger than the reference response time, the character corresponding to the target character control is displayed in the search bar control. Therefore, when the first instruction triggered by the user due to the inertia operation is detected, the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the search page starts to be displayed is prevented from being displayed in the search bar control, the user is prevented from executing other operations to delete the character, and the efficiency of searching media resources by the user through the display equipment is improved. And after the characters corresponding to the target character control are displayed in the search bar control, when a deleting instruction for the displayed target characters is received, the reference response time length can be updated, so that the reference response time length is more suitable for the user of the display equipment, the characters which the user wants to input can be displayed more accurately, and the efficiency of searching media resources through the display equipment by the user is further improved.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps for implementing the above embodiments may be implemented by hardware, or may be implemented by a program for instructing relevant hardware, where the program may be stored in a computer readable storage medium, and the storage medium may be a read-only memory, a magnetic disk or an optical disk, etc.
The foregoing description of the preferred embodiments of the present application is not intended to limit the application, but rather, the application is to be construed as limited to the appended claims.
