The invention provides a block chain cross-chain communication method and a system, wherein the method comprises the following steps: acquiring communication requirements of each node in a plurality of block chains; establishing a cross-link alliance according to the communication requirement, and configuring a digital certificate for each node; a relay chain receives a cross-chain communication request sent by a source node in a certain block chain; the relay chain carries out endorsement policy verification according to the data certificate, records a communication request to a cross-chain intelligent contract after the verification is passed, and sends the cross-chain communication request which passes the endorsement policy verification to a cross-chain alliance; and analyzing the communication data message by the cross-link alliance to obtain transaction data, calling an inquiry interface of the alliance link to inquire whether a transaction corresponding to the transaction data exists or not, verifying the validity of the transaction data, and executing a cross-link communication request after the validity of the transaction data is verified to realize the communication between the nodes. The invention can realize the alliance chain cross-link communication and solves the cross-link communication of complex business and multi-party complex rules.
