Description

Vibration loudspeaker
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a vibration speaker capable of improving bass output and preventing sound pressure drop and sound distortion.
Background
Electric Vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) driven by the power of an electric motor run at risk of collision with pedestrians since they do not generate much noise while traveling. Therefore, a Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS) is applied to such vehicles to avoid the risk of pedestrian collision by generating engine noise using a vibration speaker.
A vibration speaker for use in a virtual engine sound system, comprising: a vibration plate provided in a portion of the case; a voice coil member coupled to the vibration plate; and a vibrator provided with a magnet installed in the case to vibrate the vibrator through the elastic member to operate the voice coil member. The vibration speaker is excellent in durability, small in size, and inexpensive.
However, in such a vibration speaker, the voice coil member is directly fixed to the inner surface of the vibration plate, and the contact area between the vibration plate and the voice coil member is large, so that the voice coil member cannot effectively vibrate the vibration plate, and there is a limitation in improving bass output.
Also, in the conventional vibration speaker, since the vibrator is supported on the housing by the elastic member, when unstable vibration (rotational and tilt vibration) of the vibrator is generated during sound output, a force of the vibrator to excite the voice coil member may be reduced, thereby causing a drop in sound pressure and sound distortion.
The information contained in the background section of this invention is only for enhancement of understanding of the general background of the invention and should not be taken as an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that this information forms the prior art known to a person skilled in the art.

Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the various embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and described below. While the invention will be described in conjunction with the exemplary embodiments of the invention, it will be understood that the description is not intended to limit the invention to those exemplary embodiments. On the other hand, the present invention is intended to cover not only exemplary embodiments of the present invention but also various alternatives, modifications, equivalents and other embodiments which may be included within the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following exemplary embodiments are provided by way of example so that those skilled in the art can fully understand the spirit of the present invention. The present invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described below, but may be embodied in other forms. In order to clearly illustrate various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, parts irrelevant to the description are omitted from the drawings, and the width, length, thickness, etc. of the components may be exaggerated for convenience.
Referring to fig. 1, 2 and 3, a vibration speaker 100 according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention may include: a case 110, a diaphragm 120, a voice coil member 130, a vibrator 140, a vibration transmission member 150, a circumferential support member 160, an elastic connection member 170, an advance/retreat guide 180, and a circuit board 190.
The housing 110 may be provided in a substantially cylindrical shape and have a space for accommodating the vibration transmission member 150, the voice coil member 130, the vibrator 140, the advance/retreat guide 180, and the like. The case 110 may have a shape in which one side coupled to the vibration plate 120 is open and the other side is closed. However, the housing 110 is not limited to a cylindrical shape, but may be changed into various shapes according to installation environments.
The vibration plate 120 may have an edge fixed to an end of the opening side of the case 110 to cover the opening side of the case 110. The vibration plate 120 may be provided as a thin plate, and may generate sound by vibration.
The voice coil member 130 is mounted on the vibration plate 120 through the vibration transfer member 150, and may vibrate the vibration plate 120 through interaction with the vibrator 140. The voice coil member 130 may have a form in which a coil 132 is wound on an outer surface of a cylindrical bobbin 131, and may include: and an integrated connection plate 133 fixed to the vibration transfer member 150 at a side of the vibration transfer member 150 opposite to the vibration plate 120. A high frequency AC current in the audible frequency band is applied to the voice coil member 130.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, the vibrator 140 is installed to be capable of vibrating in a vibration direction of the vibration plate 120 in the case 110. The vibrator 140 includes: a magnet 141; a first yoke 142 disposed in a disc shape to be configured to enter the inner space of the voice coil member 130, and coupled to one end of the magnet 141 to face the connection plate 133 of the voice coil member 130; and a second yoke 143 coupled to the other end portion of the magnet 141 opposite to the first yoke 142. The second yoke 143 includes a cylindrical extension 143a (see fig. 3) having a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the voice coil member 130 and extending from the edge of the voice coil member 130 to surround the outside of the voice coil member 130. The vibrator 140 may include a cylindrical housing 144 to surround and protect the outside of the second yoke 143.
The elastic connection member 170 connects the voice coil member 130 and the vibrator 140, and supports the vibrator 140 to be configured to advance and retreat in the vibration direction of the vibration plate 120. As shown in fig. 2, the elastic connection member 170 may be provided in a ring shape connecting an upper circumference of the casing 144 of the vibrator 140 and a lateral circumference of the voice coil member 130, and may further include a plurality of connection springs installed at equal intervals from each other in a circumferential direction. Since the vibrator 140 is connected to the voice coil member 130 through the elastic connection member 170, the vibrator 140 can advance and retreat within a set range without being separated.
Referring to fig. 3, the coil 132 of the voice coil member 130 is in a state of being spaced apart from the first and second yokes 142 and 143 in a gap between the first and second yokes 142 and 143 of the vibrator 140, and the magnet 141 has N and S poles formed on the first and second yokes 142 and 143 to form a magnetic field passing through the coil 132. Therefore, when an output signal (current signal) is applied to the coil 132, the voice coil member 130 vibrates, and the vibration plate 120 vibrates due to the advance and retreat of the voice coil member 130, so that sound can be output. In the present case, the vibrator 140 also vibrates.
The vibration transmission member 150 transmits the vibration of the voice coil member 130 to the vibration plate 120 while supporting the voice coil member 130 in a state of being fixed to the inner surface of the vibration plate 120. The vibration transfer member 150 may include: a space support 151 fixed to the connection plate 133 of the voice coil member 130 and spaced from the inner surface of the vibration plate 120; and a vibration transfer part 152 protruding from the interval support part 151 to be fixed to the vibration plate 120.
The vibration transfer part 152 may be disposed at a position overlapping the center part of the interval support part 151 and the voice coil member 130. The vibration transfer portion 152 is provided such that the sectional area of the portion of the vibration transfer portion 152 fixed to the vibration plate 120 is smaller than the sectional area of the connection plate 133 of the voice coil member 130.
Accordingly, the vibration transfer member 150 transfers the vibration energy transferred from the voice coil member 130 to the vibration plate 120 through the vibration transfer portion 152 having a relatively small sectional area, so that the vibration energy can be concentrated at the center portion of the vibration plate 120, and the vibration plate 120 can be effectively excited by the concentrated vibration energy, thereby improving bass output. Therefore, by reducing the sectional area of the vibration transfer part 152 to concentrate the vibration energy at the center part of the vibration plate 120, the vibration plate 120 may vibrate more smoothly than the conventional vibration plate, and the output of the bass band may be improved.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the circumferential support member 160 may be provided in a cup shape surrounding the outside of the vibration transmission member 150. One side of the circumferential support member 160 may be fixed to the periphery of the voice coil member 130, and the other side of the circumferential support member 160 may be fixed to the inner surface of the vibration plate 120.
The circumferential support member 160 may be made of an elastic material or a material that is thinner and deformable than the vibration plate 120 so that the vibration energy of the voice coil member 130 is transmitted to the vibration transmitting portion 152 while not interfering with the vibration of the vibration plate 120. In addition, the circumferential support member 160 may be provided such that the diameter gradually increases from the voice coil member 130 toward the vibration plate 120.
The circumferential support member 160 may suppress unstable vibration (rotation and tilt vibration) of the voice coil member 130 so that vibration of the voice coil member 130 can be smoothly transmitted to the vibration plate 120, and may prevent the fixing portion between the vibration transmission portion 152 and the vibration plate 120 from being damaged or separated.
The advancing-retreating guide 180 supports the outer circumference of the vibrator 140 to guide the vibrator 140 to advance and retreat. As shown in fig. 2, the advancing-retreating guide 180 may include: a plurality of guide structures 181 fixed to an inner surface of the case 110 and having a curved support part 182 formed in a shape corresponding to the circumference of the vibrator 140; and a bearing 183 between an inner surface of each of the guide structures 181 and an outer surface of the vibrator 140 to slidably support the vibrator 140. As shown in fig. 3, the exemplary embodiment shows two guide structures 181 provided in a substantially semi-cylindrical shape, supporting the outer surface of the vibrator 140 from opposite sides.
The advancing-retreating guide 180 may suppress unstable vibration (rotation and inclination vibration) of the vibrator 140 to guide the vibrator 140 to advance and retreat only in the vibration direction of the vibration plate 120. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a drop in sound pressure or distortion of sound due to unstable vibration of the vibrator 140.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the guide structure 181 of the advance-retreat guide 180 may be fixed to the inner surface of the housing 110 in a state of passing through the circuit board 190 mounted in the housing 110. The circuit board 190 may be provided with a through slot 191, and the guide structure 181 may pass through the through slot 191 without interference.
Fig. 4 is a graph comparing the performance of the vibration speaker 100 according to the exemplary embodiment with that of the conventional vibration speaker. As shown in fig. 4, the vibration speaker 100 according to the exemplary embodiment can significantly improve sound pressure in a low frequency band, as compared to a conventional vibration speaker. In addition, since unstable vibration of the circumferential support member 160 and the vibrator 140 can be prevented, a phenomenon in which sound is distorted in a low frequency band can also be prevented. This is because the vibration energy of the voice coil member 130 is not only transmitted to the diaphragm 120 through the vibration transmitting portion 152 of the vibration transmitting member 150, but also the unstable vibration of the voice coil member 130 is suppressed by the circumferential support member 160, and the unstable vibration of the vibrator 140 is suppressed by the advancing-retreating guide 180.
Fig. 5 illustrates a vibration speaker 200 according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention. In the vibration speaker 200 of fig. 5, the vibration transmission portion 252 connected to the vibration plate 220 is integrally formed with the voice coil member 230.
The voice coil member 230 may include: a bobbin 231 having a coil 232 wound therearound; and a connection plate 233 facing an inner surface of the vibration plate 220 at one end of the bobbin; and a vibration transfer portion 252 protruding from a central portion of the connection plate 233 of the bobbin 231 toward the vibration plate 220 to be fixed to the central portion of the vibration plate 220. The vibration transfer portion 252 may be integrally formed with the connection plate 233 of the bobbin 231, and may be disposed such that a sectional area of a portion of the vibration transfer portion 252 fixed to the vibration plate 220 is smaller than a sectional area of the connection plate 233 of the bobbin 231.
The remaining components of the vibration speaker 200 of fig. 5 may be arranged in the same manner as the embodiment of fig. 1. The case, the vibration plate 220, the vibrator 240, the circumferential support member 260, the elastic connection member 270, and the advance-retreat guide 280 may be provided in the same manner as in the embodiment of fig. 1. Therefore, the vibration speaker 200 of fig. 5 can also significantly improve sound pressure in a low frequency band as compared to a conventional vibration speaker, and also can prevent a phenomenon of sound distortion.
As apparent from the above description, since vibration energy transmitted from the voice coil member is transmitted to the vibration plate through the vibration transmission portion having a small sectional area, the vibration speaker according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention may concentrate the vibration energy at the central portion of the vibration plate to effectively excite the vibration plate, thereby improving bass output.
In addition, since the circumferential support member may suppress unstable vibration of the voice coil member and the advance-retreat guide may suppress unstable vibration of the vibrator, the vibration speaker according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention may significantly improve sound pressure in a low frequency band and may prevent a phenomenon in which sound is distorted in the low frequency band, compared to a conventional vibration speaker.
