Description

Mobile edge service updating method, device, system, equipment and medium
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of network technologies, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, a system, a device, and a medium for updating a mobile edge service.
Background
The edge computing origin refers to the nearest service provided nearby by adopting an open platform with integrated network, computing, storage and application core capabilities on one side close to an object or a data source. Typically, edge computing employs a distributed computing architecture that routes applications, data, and services previously processed by hub nodes to edge nodes on the network logic. The essence of edge computing is that services are provided nearby somewhere at the edge of the network near the data source; the data or tasks can be calculated and executed on the side of the network edge close to the data source, a novel service model allows data to be stored and processed on the network edge, and intelligent services are provided on a data end in cooperation with cloud computing. The technology greatly reduces the end-to-end time delay of mobile service delivery by deeply fusing the traditional telecommunication cellular network and the Internet service, thereby improving the user experience and successfully mining the inherent capability of the wireless network.
As shown in fig. 1, a schematic diagram of an Application layer structure of an existing mobile Edge computing is shown, in which an Edge Data Network (EDN) 10 includes an Edge Application Server (EAS) 101 and an Edge Enable Server (EES) 102, and an Edge Configuration Server (ECS) 20 connected to the EDN, and the Edge Configuration Server 20 provides necessary initial Configuration information for a User Equipment (UE) when accessing the EES.
The EES is a core function of the EDN, provides an enabling function for an upper application to access a mobile communication network through the EDN, provides an application server discovery function for the UE, and provides application server access control. The upper layer application is created and loaded on the EAS in the form of an EAS instance, and multiple EAS instances may be created and loaded on the same EAS. Each UE may simultaneously register one or more EAS instances on one EAS. In the prior art, the discovery of EAS by the UE is realized by the UE obtaining the list of available EAS instances from the EES. The ECS provides the necessary initial configuration information for the UE to access the EES.
The EAS accesses an upper application server of a mobile communication network through the EDN, performs EDN network access and registration through the EES, and acquires information of the UE related to an edge calculation enabling service through the EES.
In the prior art, the UE actively initiates discovery of EDN application according to preset conditions of the UE, and generally, the preset conditions only consider requirements, capabilities, or states of the UE, but not consider actual situations such as whether network resources are congested, insufficient network resources, poor network experience quality, and the like to discover the EAS. If the EAS instance loaded on the EAS is unavailable due to insufficient network resources, the EES in the prior art still notifies the UE of all EAS instance lists, but cannot guarantee that the network resources of one EDN can meet the requirement of an updated application service, and cannot further perform resource scheduling and allocation on the terminal in a targeted manner in cooperation with the application service requirement and the network resource condition. Meanwhile, the prior art does not support real-time release and update of the application on the EDN, and only can configure the available application on the EES in a pre-configuration mode. This method cannot adapt to the changing needs of the edge computing application at any time, and the UE side cannot find the information of the new application online or the application update information in real time.

The character "/" generally indicates that the former and latter associated objects are in an "or" relationship.
2. An important concept in User Equipment (UE) mobile communication refers to a User terminal in a mobile network.
3. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) provides services required by telecommunication users and cloud Computing functions nearby by using a wireless access network, thereby creating a telecommunication service environment with high performance, low delay and high bandwidth, accelerating the rapid downloading of various contents, services and applications in the network, and providing uninterrupted high-quality network experience.
The method, apparatus, system, device and medium for updating mobile edge service provided by the present invention are described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for updating a mobile edge service, as shown in fig. 2, including:
step 201, obtaining the service resource usage requirement of the mobile edge computing network.
In specific implementation, a service resource usage requirement for service release or service update is acquired, the service resource usage requirement is generally transmitted through a service update notification, and then experience information of network resources is requested from a core network according to the service resource usage requirement. The Service resource usage requirement carries the relevant identification information EAS ID of the application and the KPI requirement of the application, such as bandwidth, priority, time delay, Service area range of the application, requirement of Quality of Service (QoS) and application type.
Preferably, the service resource usage requirement may further include an identifier GPSI of the UE, an EAS Instance ID, a Data Network Name (DNN), and Network slice identifier S-NSSAI information.
It should be noted that the experience information may be experience information of a certain user, may also be experience information of multiple users, and may also be experience information of a certain network slice, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
In a possible implementation manner, if the obtained service resource usage requirement does not include DNN and S-NSSAI information, DNN and S-NSSAI information corresponding to the application may be determined according to application location information provided in the service resource usage requirement. It should be noted that, if the service resource usage requirement does not include the UE identifier, the subsequent processing is performed on all registered UEs; and if the UE identification is contained, the subsequent processing only aims at the UE which is correspondingly designated by the UE identification.
Step 202, determining a resource scheduling policy of a user of the service to be updated according to the service resource usage requirement.
In specific implementation, when the experience information does not match the service resource usage demand, the resource scheduling policy of the user is determined based on the service resource usage demand and the experience information, and when the experience information and the service resource usage demand match, the resource scheduling policy of the user can be adjusted according to the service resource usage demand and the experience information, or a processing mode in the prior art can be adopted, which is not limited in the embodiment of the invention.
It should be noted that the resource scheduling policy may be determined by one or more of the following information: UE identity, bandwidth, QoS requirements, media type, DNN, S-NSSAI information, etc., as well as DNAI list and corresponding routing profile ID (S) or N6 traffic routing information (N6 traffic routing information) for the UE routing as determined by the resource management function.
In addition, in this step, a PDU session modification procedure for the specific UE to the core network is initiated, and a traffic impact operation on the core network is initiated.
(1) Initiating a PDU session modification process for the specific UE to the core network, wherein the PDU session modification process comprises initiating a creation instruction to a (Policy Control function, PCF) and triggering the PDU session modification process in the core network. In specific implementation, the PDU session is modified according to the service resource usage requirement of a new application or an application update, so that the UE can use the application, and the used parameters include UE identity, bandwidth, QoS requirement, media type, DNN, S-NSSAI information, etc., and a DNAI list and a corresponding routing profile ID (S) or N6 traffic routing information (N6 traffic routing information) for the UE routing determined by the resource management function.
(2) Initiating a traffic impact operation on a core Network, including initiating a create or update instruction to a Network Exposure Function (NEF), that is, sending a request for a traffic impact create request or a traffic impact update request. This operation may be for a specific UE or for all UEs related to DNN and S-NSSAI. This operation may affect User Plane Function (UPF) selection in traffic routing for a particular DNAI-related UE.
Step 203, based on the resource scheduling policy, initiating the mobile edge computing network service update to the user.
In specific implementation, based on the resource scheduling strategy, a service update notification is sent to the user, and the mobile edge computing network service update is initiated to the user.
Preferably, a mobile edge computing network service update is initiated to the user based on the modified PDU session.
The following describes in detail a specific process of the mobile edge service updating method provided in the embodiment of the present invention with reference to fig. 3.
As shown in fig. 3, in the mobile Edge service updating method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the UE301, the core Network 302, and existing logic function entities defined in the standard, the Edge application server 303(EAS) is a cloud server providing applications for end users, and accesses and uses functions provided by the core Network through an Edge Data Network (EDN), and the service registration function module 304 and the resource management function module 305 are new facilities added in the embodiment of the present invention. The service registration function module interacts with an Edge Application Server (EAS) through an existing interface, and is responsible for receiving and processing Application service release or Application update notification sent by the EAS, generating a registry for an EAS instance, and pushing the service release and service update notification to the registered UE in the EDN.
It should be noted that the EAS published information received by the service registration function may be application information for a certain geographical location area or within a certain EDN range, and may be independent of the individual UE.
The resource management function module is responsible for network resource management operation with the core network, and can acquire the requirement of the service (such as bandwidth, delay, service area range of the application, application type, and the like) on the network resource from the service registration function module. Experience information of the relevant network elements may also be obtained from the core network.
To sum up, the resource management function module may determine a resource scheduling policy by integrating the obtained information, and further adjust resource allocation of the core network (5GC) to the user, where the resource management function module may be in the EES or in the ECS, and the following takes the EES and the ECS as an example respectively, to describe in detail the mobile edge service updating method provided in the embodiment of the present invention.
Example one
As shown in fig. 4, a flow diagram of a specific process of a mobile edge service updating method provided in an embodiment of the present invention is shown, where an EES includes a service registration function module and a resource management function module. The method includes that a service registration function module in the EES or the EES is responsible for receiving and processing service update of the EAS, issuing the service update of the EAS to the UE, and a resource management function module in the EES or the EES and a core network interactively acquire user experience information of a related network element, and specifically includes the following steps:
in step 401, the EAS transmits the service resource usage requirement.
In specific implementation, when a new application is online or updated, the EAS sends a service resource usage requirement for service release or service update to the service registration function module. The Service resource usage requirement carries the relevant identification information EAS ID of the application and KPI requirements of the application, such as bandwidth, priority, latency, Service area range of the application, application type and Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, etc.
Preferably, the service resource usage requirement may further include an identifier GPSI of the UE, an EAS Instance ID, a Data Network Name (DNN), and Network slice identifier S-NSSAI information.
Preferably, after receiving a service resource usage requirement sent by the EAS, if the message does not include DNN and S-NSSAI information, the service registration function module determines DNN and S-NSSAI information corresponding to the application. The specific determination method is to determine DNN and S-NSSAI information corresponding to the application location information provided in the service resource usage requirement sent by the EAS.
It should be noted that, if the service resource usage requirement does not include the UE identifier, the subsequent processing of the service registration function is performed on all UEs already registered, and if the UE identifier is included, the subsequent processing is performed only on the UE specified by the UE identifier.
Step 402, obtaining experience information through a core network and determining a resource scheduling policy.
The interaction process of the specific service registration function module and the resource management function module is shown in fig. 5.
Step 501, the service registration function module sends a service dynamic information notification to the resource management function module.
In specific implementation, after receiving a Service resource usage requirement sent by the EAS, the Service registration function module sends a Service dynamic information notification to the resource management function module, where the Service dynamic information notification includes a UE identifier GPSI, KPI requirements of applications, (such as bandwidth, priority, delay, Service area range of applications, application type and Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, etc.), DNN, a DNAI list, and S-NSSAI information. Preferably, an index ID of the application may also be included.
Step 502, according to the service dynamic information notification, obtaining experience information from the core network.
And the resource management functional module interacts with the core network after receiving the experience information to acquire the experience information.
It should be noted that the experience information may be experience information of a certain user, may also be experience information of multiple users, and may also be experience information of a certain network slice, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
Step 503, determining the resource scheduling policy of the user according to the service resource usage requirement and the experience information.
In specific implementation, a resource scheduling policy of a user is determined based on service resource usage requirements and experience information, and a core network is assisted to allocate network resources according to the resource scheduling policy, wherein the specific configuration process is as follows:
(1) initiating a PDU session modification process for a specific UE to a core network, wherein the PDU session modification process comprises a step that a resource management module initiates a creation instruction to a (Policy Control function, PCF), and the PDU session modification process in the core network is triggered by the creation instruction. The resource management module modifies the existing PDU session according to the requirement of new application or application update, so that the UE can use the application, and the used parameters include UE identity, bandwidth, QoS requirement, media type, DNN, S-NSSAI information, etc., and DNAI list and corresponding routing profile ID (S) or N6 traffic routing information (N6 traffic routing information) for the UE routing determined by the resource management function.
It should be noted that, to perform PDU session modification, the UE needs to establish a PDU session before step 401.
(2) Initiating traffic affecting operations on the core Network, including initiating a create or update instruction to a Network open Function (NEF) by a resource management module, may be for a specific UE, or may be for all UEs related to DNN and S-NSSAI. This operation may affect User Plane Function (UPF) selection in traffic routing for a particular DNAI-related UE.
In step 403, the EES sends a service announcement or service update notification to the UE.
In specific implementation, a Service registration function in the EES sends a Service announcement or a Service update notification to the UE, where the Service update notification carries the relevant identification information EAS ID of the application and KPI requirements of the application, such as bandwidth, priority, delay, Service area range of the application, application type and Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, and the like.
Preferably, the service update notification may further include an EAS Instance ID, a Data Network Name (DNN), a DNAI list, Network slice identifier S-NSSAI information, and an index ID of the application.
At step 404, an application service is initiated between the UE and the EAS.
In specific implementation, the UE and the EAS initiate upper layer application calling based on the established user plane resources.
In this embodiment, the service registration function and the resource management function are both located in the EES entity, as shown in fig. 6, which is a schematic structural diagram of an entity apparatus of a method for updating a mobile edge service according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The device is composed of an edge application server 601 and an edge enabling server 602, wherein the edge enabling server 602 comprises a service registration function 6021 module and a resource management function 6022 module, the resource management function 6022 is connected with the NEF through an Npcf interface, the resource management function 6022 is connected with the PCF through an Npcf interface, or other compatible or interface containing the Nnef interface can be used to connect with the NEF, or other compatible or interface containing the Npcf interface can be used to connect with the PCF, so as to ensure that the interaction between the resource management function 6022 and the core network can reuse the existing flow. Other parts can be connected by using EDGE interfaces, and can also be connected by using other interfaces meeting actual requirements, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 7, a flow diagram of an EES initiating a traffic impact through an NEF in the mobile edge service updating method provided in the embodiment of the present invention is shown.
The resource management function module sends a flow influence creation request or a flow influence update request through the NEF, and the acquisition process can reuse the existing flow as the Nnef interface is selected to be connected with the NEF, wherein the user experience information request comprises: identity of the UE, DNN, S-NSSAI information. Of course, other interfaces compatible with or including the Nnef interface may also be used to connect with the NEF, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
In specific implementation, the entity for acquiring the experience information may be the existing entity EES, or may be an entity resource management function module defined by the present invention.
As shown in fig. 8, a schematic flow diagram of triggering PDU session modification between an EES and a core network according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided.
Because the Npcf interface is selected to be connected with the PCF, the embodiment can reuse the existing flow, and when the embodiment is specifically implemented, a strategy authorization establishing request is initiated to the PCF in the core network, and the core network interacts with the UE to modify the PDU conversation. Of course, other interfaces compatible with or including an Npcf interface may also be used to connect with the PCF, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
The entity initiating the request to the core network is the existing entity EES or the entity resource management function module defined by the present invention.
It should be noted that the request for initiating policy authorization creation to the PCF may include the following: UE identity, bandwidth, QoS requirements, media type, DNN, S-NSSAI information, etc.
Example two
Fig. 9 is a schematic flow chart of a specific process of another mobile edge service updating method according to an embodiment of the present invention, where an EES includes a service registration function module, and an ECS includes a resource management function module. The service registration function module is responsible for receiving and processing service update of the EAS, issuing the service update of the EAS to the UE, and interactively acquiring user experience information of a related network element by a resource management function module and a core network in the ECS, which specifically includes the following steps:
in step 901, the EAS transmits the service resource usage requirement.
Step 902, sending a service dynamic information notification to the resource management function module.
Preferably, after receiving the service resource usage requirement sent by the EAS, if the message does not include DNN and S-NSSAI information, the service registration function module determines DNN and S-NSSAI information corresponding to the application. The specific determination method is to determine DNN and S-NSSAI information corresponding to the application location information provided in the service resource usage requirement sent by the EAS in step 801.
It should be noted that, if the service resource usage requirement does not include the UE identifier, the subsequent processing of the service registration function is performed on all UEs already registered, and if the UE identifier is included, the subsequent processing is performed only on the UE specified by the UE identifier.
Step 903, obtaining experience information through a core network and determining a resource scheduling policy.
After receiving the information, the resource management function module in the ECS interacts with the core network to acquire experience information and determine a resource scheduling policy, and assists the core network to allocate network resources based on the experience information and the resource scheduling policy, wherein the specific configuration process comprises the following steps:
(1) initiating a PDU session modification process for a specific UE to a core network, wherein the PDU session modification process comprises a step that a resource management module initiates a creation instruction to a (Policy Control function, PCF), and the PDU session modification process in the core network is triggered by the creation instruction. The resource management module modifies the existing PDU session according to the requirements of the new application or application update, so that the UE can use the application, and the used parameters include UE identity, bandwidth, QoS requirements, media type, DNN, S-NSSAI information, etc., and DNAI list and corresponding routing profile ID (S) or N6 traffic routing information (N6 traffic routing information) for the UE routing determined by the resource management function.
It should be noted that to perform PDU session modification, the UE has already established a PDU session before step 801.
(2) Initiating a traffic impact operation on a core Network, including initiating a create or update instruction to a Network open Function (NEF) by a resource management module, that is, sending a request for a traffic impact create request or a traffic impact update request. This operation may be for a specific UE or for all UEs related to DNN and S-NSSAI. This operation may affect User Plane Function (UPF) selection in traffic routing for a particular DNAI-related UE.
In step 904, the EES sends a service announcement or service update notification to the UE.
Step 905, initiating an application service between the UE and the EAS.
In specific implementation, the UE and the EAS initiate upper layer application calling based on the established user plane resources.
