As an optional implementation manner, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the first mating surface 122a, the second mating surface 121a, and the fourth mating surface 123a are respectively arc surfaces, and through the above arrangement, when the display panel is switched from the first state to the second state, the reliability of the closure between the second mating surface 121a and the fourth mating surface 123a can be ensured, and the formation of wrinkles at the top corner when the display panel is switched to the second state is avoided.
As an alternative implementation manner, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the thickness direction X of the display panel, the arc length of the orthographic projection of the first mating surface 122a is L1, the arc length of the orthographic projection of the second mating surface 121a is L2, and the arc length of the orthographic projection of the fourth mating surface 123a is L3, where, in the second state, L1 is L2+ L3. With the above arrangement, when the display panel is switched from the first state to the second state, the second engagement surface 121a of the first bending portion 121 and the fourth engagement surface 123a of the second bending portion 123 can be disposed to surround the first engagement surface 122a of the intermediate bending portion 122 together, and the intermediate bending portion 122, the first bending portion 121, and the second bending portion 123 can contact and be connected in a closed manner.
In some optional embodiments, in the thickness direction X of the display panel, a central angle corresponding to an orthographic projection of the first mating surface 122a ranges from any value between 260 ° and 280 °, including both end values of 260 ° and 280 °, and is optionally 270 °.
In some optional embodiments, in the display panel provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the third mating surface 121b and the fifth mating surface 123b may be a plane, a concave surface, a convex surface, or the like, so as to facilitate a bending angle of the edge region of the display panel, for example, a requirement of a closed connection after being bent by greater than or equal to 90 °.
As an optional implementation manner, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the thickness direction X of the display panel, the length of the orthographic projection of the third mating surface 121b is L4, and the length of the orthographic projection of the fifth mating surface 123b is L5, where L4 is L5, so as to ensure the flatness of the closed display panel in the second state and facilitate meeting the requirement of the bending angle.
As shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic back structure diagram of the display panel in the first state according to the embodiment of the invention. In some optional embodiments, the display panel provided in the embodiments of the present invention further includes a plastic body 20, the plastic body 20 is disposed at least on one side of the middle bending portion 122, and the plastic body 20 can shrink at a predetermined temperature to deform the middle bending portion 122. By arranging the plastic body 20, the plastic body 20 can drive at least one middle bending part 122 to deform under a preset condition, so that the shape of the curved surface is formed from the flat plate shape in the first state to the curved surface in the second state.
As an alternative embodiment, a plastic body 20 may be provided on one side of each intermediate bend 122 to facilitate the deformation requirement of each intermediate bend 122 in the second state.
In the display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, the shape of the shaping body 20 connected with each middle bending part 122 is matched with the shape of the middle bending part 122, and the shaping body 20 covers the surface of the middle bending part 122 departing from the light emitting surface of the display panel. Through the above arrangement, the middle bending portion 122 can be effectively deformed under the action of the shaping body 20, and meanwhile, the influence of the shaping body 20 on the display picture of the display panel can be avoided.
As an optional implementation manner, in the second state, the middle bending portion 122 is a curved surface, and optionally, the curved surface of the middle bending portion 122 may be a semi-sphere or a similar semi-sphere, which facilitates the interface between the main display area 11 and the first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 122 disposed adjacent to each other and reduces or avoids the formation of wrinkles.
In some optional embodiments, the shaping body 20 comprises a heat shrinkable material, and the shaping body 20 deforms at a predetermined temperature to switch the display panel from the first state to the second state. Through making plastic body 20 adopt thermoplastic material, do benefit to the deformation of control plastic body 20, simultaneously, can also guarantee that plastic body 20 is difficult to resume after the deformation, stability when keeping display panel to be in the second state.
In some alternative embodiments, the predetermined temperature ranges from any value between 90 ℃ and 140 ℃, including both the 90 ℃ and 140 ℃. Through the arrangement, the plastic body 20 can be deformed within a relatively low temperature range, and then the middle bending part 122 is driven to deform into a curved surface shape, so that the four-curved-surface display screen is formed. In addition, the preset temperature adopts the value range, so that damage to other layer structures of the display panel due to overhigh temperature can be avoided when the plastic body 20 is heated.
As an optional implementation manner, the heat-shrinkable material includes polymer polyolefin, when the heat-shrinkable material includes polymer polyolefin, the preset temperature may be 90 ℃ or higher, and the radial shrinkage rate of the heat-shrinkable material may reach 50% to 80% or higher, so as to ensure the deformation requirement of the shaping portion, and further ensure that the middle bending portion 122 deforms to the curved surface.
It is understood that the thermoplastic material comprising a high molecular weight polyolefin is an alternative embodiment, and in some embodiments, the thermoplastic material may also comprise a high molecular weight polyethylene, and when a high molecular weight polyethylene is used, the predetermined temperature may be 140 ℃ or higher, which also satisfies the deformation requirement of the plastic body 20.
As an optional implementation manner, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the second state, an included angle between each of the middle bending portion 122, the first bending portion 121, and the second bending portion 123 and the main display area 11 ranges from 0 ° to 88 °, including an end value of 88 °, so as to ensure a bending angle of the middle bending portion 122, the first bending portion 121, and the second bending portion 123 with respect to the main display area 11, which is favorable for forming a multi-curved surface, such as a four-curved-surface display screen.
As shown in fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of a pixel arrangement of a display panel according to an embodiment of the invention. In some optional embodiments, the layer structure of the display panel provided in each of the above embodiments of the present invention includes an array substrate and a light emitting layer disposed on the array substrate, where the light emitting layer includes a plurality of first sub-pixels 30 and a plurality of second sub-pixels 40, the plurality of first sub-pixels 30 are located in the main display region 11 and are arranged in an array, the plurality of second sub-pixels 40 are located in the edge region 12, and a part of the plurality of second sub-pixels 40 located in the edge region 12 are arranged in an array and a part of the plurality of second sub-pixels 40 are arranged in a ring shape.
In some alternative embodiments, the plurality of second sub-pixels 40 located in the middle bending portion 122 are arranged in a ring shape, and the plurality of second sub-pixels 40 located in the first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 123 are arranged in an array. Through the arrangement, when the display panel is switched from the first state to the second state, the second sub-pixels 40 located on the middle bending portion 122 can reduce damage when the middle bending portion 122 deforms, and the display effect is ensured.
In some optional embodiments, the second sub-pixels 40 on the sides of the first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 123 close to the middle bending portion 122 may also be arranged in a ring shape, and the second sub-pixels 40 on the sides of the first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 123 far from the middle bending portion 122 may also be arranged in an array, so as to optimize the display effect of the display panel in the second state.
As an optional implementation manner, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the main display region 11 and the edge region 12 are an integrated structure, which is favorable for forming the display panel. The display panel may be formed by sequentially forming structural layers such as a light emitting layer on an array substrate having a predetermined shape. Of course, a regular display panel substrate, such as a rectangular substrate, may be formed first, and then the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present invention is formed by cutting the whole substrate.
It should be noted that, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the main display area 11 does not need to be bent in application, the main display area 11 may be a flexible display panel or an inflexible display panel, and a portion of the edge area 12 corresponding to the main display area 11 needs to be bent and a portion needs to be recessed, so that a form of a flexible display panel is preferably adopted.
The display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention can be an organic light emitting diode display panel, a liquid crystal display panel or other forms of display substrates. The core of the present invention is to improve the structure of the edge region 12 of the display panel, and the improvement is not limited to the kind of the display panel.
On the other hand, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a display device, including the display panel of any one of the embodiments. The display device may further comprise a glass cover plate covering the main display area 11 as well as the edge area 12 of the display panel. The display device provided by the embodiment of the invention comprises the display panel provided by each embodiment, so that the multi-curved-surface display requirement can be ensured, the formation of folds at the top corners can be avoided, and the display effect is ensured.
Fig. 1 to 10 are schematic views illustrating a flow of a method for forming a display panel according to an embodiment, and fig. 8 to 10 are schematic views illustrating partial structures corresponding to steps of the method for forming a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention.
In another aspect, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a method for forming a display panel, which can be used to form the display panel provided in the foregoing embodiments, where the method for forming includes:
s100, providing an initial display substrate, wherein the initial display substrate comprises a main display area 11 and at least one edge area 12, the at least one edge area 12 comprises a first bending part 121, a second bending part 123 and an intermediate bending part 122 which are respectively connected with the main display area 11, the intermediate bending part 122 is positioned between the first bending part 121 and the second bending part 123, and the initial display substrate is in a first state, and in the first state, one ends, far away from the main display area 11, of the first bending part 121, the second bending part 123 and one end, far away from the main display area 11, of the intermediate bending part 122 are arranged at intervals;
s200, preprocessing the intermediate bending portion 122, the first bending portion 121, and the second bending portion 123, so that the initial display substrate is switched from the first state to the second state, and in the second state, the ends of the first bending portion 121, the second bending portion 123, and the intermediate bending portion 122, which are far away from the main display area 11, are connected to each other and then are closed to form a curved surface.
The display panel formed by the display panel forming method provided by the embodiment of the invention can meet the display requirement of multiple curved surfaces, and can reduce the wrinkle formation of the bending area.
As an alternative implementation manner, in the forming method of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in the step of providing the initial display substrate, the initial display substrate further includes a plastic body 20;
the step S200 includes:
the plastic body 20 is arranged at least on the side of the middle bending part 122 facing away from the main display area 11;
each of the bodies 20 is heated to contract the bodies 20 and deform the central curved portion 122, i.e. to switch from the configuration shown in fig. 8 to the configuration shown in fig. 9.
The first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 123 are bent, so that the first bending portion 121 and the second bending portion 123 are respectively deformed relative to the main display area 11, and the ends, away from the main display area 11, of the deformed first bending portion 121, the deformed second bending portion 123 and the middle bending portion 122 are in contact with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface, that is, the structural form shown in fig. 9 is switched to the structural form shown in fig. 10.
In the forming method of the display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, the initial display substrate is provided with the plastic bodies 20, and in the step S200, the plastic bodies 20 are contracted and drive the middle bending portion 122 to deform into a curved surface shape by heating each plastic body 20, so that the requirement of the middle bending portion 122 on deformation into the curved surface shape is favorably met, the generation of wrinkles of the display panel at the position of the middle bending portion 122 can be reduced or avoided, and the display effect of the formed display panel is ensured.
As an alternative implementation manner, in the step of providing the initial display substrate, the initial display substrate further includes a plastic body 20, and a side of a surface of the middle bending portion 122 facing away from the main display area 11, a side of the first bending portion 121 facing away from the light exit side of the main display area 11, and a side of the second bending portion 123 facing away from the light exit side of the main display area 11 are provided with the plastic body 20, and the step S200 includes:
heating the plastic body 20 to shrink the plastic body 20 and drive the middle bending part 122, the first bending part 121 and the second bending part 123 to deform;
the deformed ends of the first bending part 121, the second bending part 123 and the middle bending part 122 far away from the main display area 11 are connected with each other and then closed to form a curved surface.
Through the above arrangement, the requirement of the deformation of the middle bending part 122 to the curved surface shape is favorably met, the generation of wrinkles of the display panel at the position of the middle bending part 122 can be reduced or avoided, and the display effect of the formed display panel is ensured.
In some optional embodiments, in the method for forming a display panel provided by the embodiments of the present invention, the shaping body 20 may include a heat shrinkable material, and the shaping body 20 is deformed at a predetermined temperature. Optionally, the predetermined temperature is in a range of 90 ℃ to 140 ℃. Optionally, the heat shrinkable material comprises one of a high molecular polyolefin, a high molecular polyethylene.
As an alternative embodiment, in step S200, each intermediate bent portion 122 may be bent with respect to the main display area 11 by four-sided drawing of the guide film.
According to the forming method of the display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, each middle bending part 122, each first bending part 121 and each second bending part 123 are preprocessed, so that the deformation of the middle bending parts 122 is facilitated, the middle bending parts 122 are deformed, and after the deformed middle bending parts 122 are contacted with the main display area 11, the first bending parts 121 and the second bending parts 123 and then are closed to form a curved surface, on the basis of ensuring the multi-curve display requirement of the formed display panel, the formation of wrinkles can be reduced or avoided, and the display effect is optimized.
It is understood that the method for forming a display panel provided by the embodiment of the present invention may not include the plastic body 20, and in some embodiments, the step 200 may also include:
the middle bending part 123, the first bending part 121 and the second bending part 122 are respectively bent, so that the bent ends of the first bending part 121, the second bending part 122 and the middle bending part 123, which are far away from the main display area 11, are contacted with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface, and the molding requirement of the display panel can also be met.
As an alternative implementation manner, in the forming method of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, in step S200, the middle bending portion 123, the first bending portion 121, and the second bending portion 122 are bent toward the light exit side away from the main display area 11.
As shown in fig. 11, in a further aspect, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a cover plate, for covering the display panel provided in the foregoing embodiments to protect the display panel. The cover plate comprises a main covering area 110 and an edge covering area 120, the edge covering area 120 is located at the corner of the cover plate and is intersected and connected with the main covering area 110, the main covering area 110 covers the main display area 11, and the edge covering area 120 covers the edge area 12 in the second state of the display panel.
The shape of the edge covering area 120 of the cover plate provided by the embodiment of the invention is matched with the shape of the edge area 12 of the display panel, so that the cover plate is beneficial to matching with the display panel and protecting the display panel.
In some optional embodiments, the cover plate provided in the embodiments of the present invention has four edge covering regions 120 respectively located at four corners of the cover plate, which can facilitate protection of the quadric display panel.
As an alternative implementation manner, the cover plate provided in the embodiment of the present invention may be integrally formed in an injection molding manner or a stretching manner.
The cover plate provided by the embodiment of the invention can be matched with the main display area 11 of the display panel through the main covering area 110 to protect the main display area 11, and can be matched with the edge area 12 of the display panel in the second state through the edge covering area 120 to protect the edge area 12, so that the cover plate can be suitable for covering and protecting the multi-curved-surface display panel with the edge area 12.
While the invention has been described with reference to a preferred embodiment, various modifications may be made and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, the technical features mentioned in the embodiments can be combined in any way as long as there is no structural conflict. It is intended that the invention not be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed, but that the invention will include all embodiments falling within the scope of the appended claims.

Claims (10)

1. A display panel, comprising:
the display panel comprises a main display area and at least one marginal area, wherein the marginal area comprises a first bending part, a second bending part and a middle bending part which are respectively connected with the main display area, and the middle bending part is positioned between the first bending part and the second bending part;
wherein the display panel comprises a first state in which the first and second curved portions and an end of the intermediate curved portion remote from the main display area are disposed at an interval from each other;
under the second state, the first bending portion, the second bending portion and the middle bending portion are respectively relative to the main display area deformation, and after the deformation, the first bending portion, the second bending portion and the end, far away from the main display area, of the middle bending portion are connected with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface.
2. The display panel according to claim 1, wherein in the first state, a virtual extension line of an end of the first curved portion away from the main display area intersects a virtual extension line of an end of the second curved portion away from the main display area;
preferably, in the first state, a virtual extension line of an end of the first bending part away from the main display area is perpendicular to a virtual extension line of an end of the second bending part away from the main display area;
preferably, the middle bending portion includes a first mating surface disposed away from the main display area, the first bending portion includes a second mating surface and a third mating surface disposed in an intersecting manner, the second bending portion includes a fourth mating surface and a fifth mating surface disposed in an intersecting manner, one end of the first mating surface intersects with one end of the second mating surface close to the main display area, and the other end of the first mating surface intersects with one end of the fourth mating surface close to the main display area;
in the second state, the second matching surface and the fourth matching surface are respectively closed after being contacted with the first matching surface, and the third matching surface and the fifth matching surface are closed after being contacted;
preferably, the first matching surface, the second matching surface and the fourth matching surface are arc surfaces respectively;
preferably, in the thickness direction of the display panel, the arc length of the orthographic projection of the first mating surface is L1, the arc length of the orthographic projection of the second mating surface is L2, and the arc length of the orthographic projection of the fourth mating surface is L3, wherein L1 is L2+ L3;
preferably, in the thickness direction, the value range of a central angle corresponding to the orthographic projection of the first matching surface is 260-280 degrees;
preferably, in the thickness direction, the central angle corresponding to the orthographic projection of the first matching surface is 270 °;
preferably, an orthographic length of the third mating surface in the thickness direction is L4, and an orthographic length of the fifth mating surface in the thickness direction is L5, where L4 is L5.
3. The display panel of claim 1, further comprising a plastic body located at least on one side of the intermediate bend, the plastic body being capable of shrinking at a predetermined temperature to deform the intermediate bend;
preferably, the shape of the shaping body matches the shape of the middle bending part, and the shaping body covers the surface of the middle bending part, which faces away from the light emitting side of the display panel;
preferably, the shaped body comprises a heat-shrinkable material;
preferably, the heat shrinkable material comprises one of a high molecular polyolefin, a high molecular polyethylene;
preferably, the predetermined temperature is in a range of 90 ℃ to 140 ℃.
4. The display panel according to claim 1, wherein the main display region comprises a plurality of first sub-pixels arranged in an array, the edge region comprises a plurality of second sub-pixels, and a part of the plurality of second sub-pixels are arranged in an array and a part of the plurality of second sub-pixels are arranged in a ring;
preferably, the second sub-pixels located in the middle bending portion are annularly arranged, and the second sub-pixels located in the first bending portion and the second bending portion are annularly arranged, or the second sub-pixels located in the first bending portion and the second bending portion close to one side of the middle bending portion are annularly arranged, and the second sub-pixels located in the first bending portion and the second bending portion far away from one side of the middle bending portion are annularly arranged.
5. The display panel according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the edge region is located at a corner position of the display panel; preferably, the number of the edge regions is four, and the four edge regions are respectively located at each corner of the display panel.
6. A display device, comprising: a display panel as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 5.
7. A method for forming a display panel, comprising:
providing an initial display substrate, wherein the initial display substrate comprises a main display area and at least one marginal area, the at least one marginal area comprises a first bending part, a second bending part and an intermediate bending part which are respectively connected with the main display area, the intermediate bending part is positioned between the first bending part and the second bending part, and the initial display substrate is in a first state, and in the first state, one ends, far away from the main display area, of the first bending part, the second bending part and the intermediate bending part are arranged at intervals;
preprocessing the intermediate bending part, the first bending part and the second bending part to enable the initial display substrate to be switched from the first state to the second state;
in the second state, the first bending part, the second bending part and one end, far away from the main display area, of the middle bending part are connected with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein in the step of providing an initial display substrate, the initial display substrate further comprises a plastic body;
the step of pre-treating the intermediate bend, the first bend, and the second bend includes:
the plastic body is at least arranged on the surface of the light emergent side of the middle bending part, which deviates from the main display area;
heating the plastic body to shrink the plastic body and drive the middle bending part to deform;
bending the first bending part and the second bending part to enable the first bending part and the second bending part to deform relative to the main display area respectively, wherein the deformed ends of the first bending part, the second bending part and the middle bending part, which are far away from the main display area, are connected with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface;
alternatively, the step of pre-treating the intermediate bend, the first bend, and the second bend includes:
the shaping body is arranged on the surface of the middle bending part, which is deviated from the light-emitting side of the main display area, the surface of the first bending part, which is deviated from the light-emitting side of the main display area, and the surface of the second bending part, which is deviated from the light-emitting side of the main display area;
heating the plastic body to shrink the plastic body and drive the middle bending part, the first bending part and the second bending part to deform;
and after deformation, the first bending part, the second bending part and the middle bending part are far away from one end of the main display area and are mutually connected and then closed to form a curved surface.
9. The method according to claim 7, wherein the step of preprocessing the intermediate bent portion, the first bent portion, and the second bent portion includes:
bending the middle bending part, the first bending part and the second bending part respectively, so that the bent ends of the first bending part, the bent ends of the second bending part and the middle bending part, which are far away from the main display area, are connected with each other and then are closed to form a curved surface;
preferably, in the step of bending the middle bending portion, the first bending portion, and the second bending portion, respectively, the middle bending portion, the first bending portion, and the second bending portion are bent toward a light exit side away from the main display area.
10. A cover plate for covering the display panel according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the cover plate comprises:
a main capping area;
the edge covering area is positioned at the corner of the cover plate and is connected with the main covering area;
and the display panel is in the second state, the main covering area covers the main display area, and the edge covering area covers the edge area.
