Abstract

The invention provides a game controller, which comprises a first elastic sleeve cushion and a first handle. The first handle comprises a first port, a first operation interface and a first fixing part; the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port, the first fixing part is concavely arranged at one side part of the first handle, and the first port is arranged at the first fixing part; the first elastic sleeve cushion is arranged on the first fixing part and used for sleeving a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing part of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve cushion, and the game controller can be operated only by using a single handle or combining two handles.

Game controller

Technical Field

The present invention relates to game controllers, and more particularly, to a combination game controller for a mobile device, which can be operated with only one hand or with two hands.

Background

A game handle, or game controller as it is known, is a type of user input device designed to facilitate user interaction with a game of chance or other application executing on a computer, mobile device, game of chance control panel, or other platform. For example, a game controller may provide a means by which a player may control a character or object in a video game. There are a variety of different types of game controllers, and each game controller type may include one or more user-actuatable operational interfaces through which a player may provide input. For example, a conventional game controller ("joystick") designed to be hand-held may include one or more user-actuatable keys, a trigger, a joystick, or the like. Each of these operational interfaces may be manipulated by a player to generate various control signals for interacting with a game or other application.

However, the game controllers between the arcades are not designed for mobile devices. The conventional game controller is not easy to be accommodated and can be tightly combined with various mobile devices or mobile phones. Furthermore, the conventional game controller cannot be combined with a mobile device having a protective case (housing). Above, a poor participation experience results.

Disclosure of Invention

It is an object of the present invention to provide a game controller that solves at least one of the problems set forth above.

In view of the above, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a game controller is provided, which includes a first elastic pad and a first handle. The first handle comprises a first port, a first operation interface and a first fixing part.

Particularly, the first operation interface is electrically connected to the first port, the first fixing portion is concavely disposed on a side portion of the first handle, the first port is disposed on the first fixing portion, and the first elastic sleeve pad is disposed on the first fixing portion and used for sleeving a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing portion of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve pad.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, a game controller is provided, which includes a first elastic cushion, a first handle, a second elastic cushion and a second handle. The first handle comprises a first port, a second port, a first fixing part and a first operation interface. The second handle includes a third port and a second operator interface.

Particularly, the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port, the first fixing part is concavely arranged on one side part of the first handle, and the first port is arranged on the first fixing part; the first elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the first fixing part and used for sleeving a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing part of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve gasket; the first port is provided with a first connecting wire and a first plug connector, the second port is electrically connected with the first port, and the first connecting wire is connected with the first plug connector; the second operation interface is electrically connected with the third port, the second fixing part is concavely arranged at one side part of the second handle, and the third port is arranged at the second fixing part; the second elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the second fixing part and used for sleeving the mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the second fixing part of the second handle through the second elastic sleeve gasket; the third port is provided with a second connecting wire and a second socket connector, and the third port of the second handle is connected with the second port of the first handle through the second connecting wire and the second plug connector.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, a game controller is provided, which includes a first elastic pad, a first handle, an operation interface, a second elastic pad, and a second handle. The first handle comprises a first port, a second port, a first fixing part and a first operation interface, wherein the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port. The second handle includes a third port and a second battery module.

Particularly, the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port, the first fixing part is concavely arranged on one side part of the first handle, and the first port is arranged on the first fixing part; the first elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the first fixing part and used for sleeving a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing part of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve gasket; the first port is provided with a first connecting wire and a first plug connector, the second port is electrically connected with the first port, and the first connecting wire is connected with the first plug connector; the second battery module is electrically connected with the third port, the second fixing part is concavely arranged at one side part of the second handle, and the third port is arranged at the second fixing part; the second elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the second fixing part and used for sleeving the mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the second fixing part of the second handle through the second elastic sleeve gasket; the third port is provided with a second connecting wire and a second plug connector, and the second connecting wire is connected with the second plug connector; the third port of the second handle is connected to the second receptacle connector of the second port of the first handle by a second connecting wire and a second plug connector.

Therefore, the game controller of the present invention has at least one handle with a set of ports, connecting wires and plug connectors on its side. The connecting wire can be extended and retracted to adjust the position of the transmission port suitable for the mobile device and can be accommodated in the accommodating part in the handle. Both handles of the game controller may have socket connectors, and either handle may be the master and connected to the mobile device. The game controller can also be composed of two handles, wherein at least one port of one handle is provided with a socket connector for butt joint with a plug connector of the port of the other handle, so as to form a complete game controller. The game controller can be combined with a mobile device through double handles, and the game controller can be formed in a single-handle or double-handle mode. Therefore, the participation experience is greatly improved.

Detailed Description

The following is a description of the embodiments of the present disclosure relating to a "game controller" by specific embodiments, and those skilled in the art can understand the advantages and effects of the present disclosure from the disclosure of the present disclosure. The invention is capable of other and different embodiments and its several details are capable of modification and various other changes, which can be made in various details within the specification and without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The drawings of the present invention are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to be drawn to scale. Please refer to fig. 1; FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a game controller with a single handle and a mobile device according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown, a game controller 10 includes a first resilient sleeve pad 101 and a first handle 100. The first handle 100 includes a first port 111, a first operation interface 102 and a first fixing portion 107.

Specifically, the first operation interface 102 is electrically connected to the first port 111, the first fixing portion 107 is recessed in a side portion of the first handle 100, and the first port 111 is disposed in the first fixing portion 107; the first elastic cushion 101 is disposed on the first fixing portion 107 for covering a mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 is fixed on the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100 through the first elastic cushion 101. The first elastic pad 101 is made of an elastic body. In one example, the elastic pad 101 has an opening and is C-shaped to fit over the mobile device 888. In other examples, the elastic pad 101 may have a ring shape or other shapes, but the invention is not limited thereto.

In this embodiment, a protective shell 889, which may be made of plastic or metal, may be disposed on the mobile device 888; in an example, even if no protective shell is disposed on the mobile device 888, the mobile device 888 can still be fixed on the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100 through the first elastic cushion 101.

Please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 2; FIG. 2 shows a game controller 10 with a single handle and an elastic pad 101 covering a mobile device 888 according to an embodiment of the invention. The first elastic pad 101 is disposed on one side of the mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 can be fixed in the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100.

Please refer to fig. 3; FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a game controller with a single handle and a mobile device according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown, a game controller 30 includes a first resilient pad 101 and a first handle 100. The first handle 100 includes a first operation interface 102 and a first fixing portion 107.

In particular, the first operation interface 102 further comprises a joystick module 102J. In other examples, one or a combination of a joystick module, a key module, or a trigger can also be configured in the first operation interface 102 to increase the interaction between the mobile device 888 and the player. The first fixing portion 107 is recessed in a side portion of the first handle 100. The first elastic cushion 101 is disposed on the first fixing portion 107 for covering the mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 is fixed on the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100 through the first elastic cushion 101.

The game controller 10 can communicate with a mobile device 888. The communication mode may be bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection wire, etc., and the present invention is not limited thereto.

Preferably, the first fixing portion 107 has a first recess and a second recess (not shown).

In this embodiment, a protective shell 889, which may be made of plastic or metal, may be disposed on the mobile device 888. In an example, the mobile device 888 is not provided with any protective shell, and the invention is not limited thereto.

Please refer to fig. 4, which is a schematic diagram of a game controller 40 with a single handle 200 and a mobile device 888 according to an embodiment of the present invention. In contrast to the embodiment of fig. 3, the game controller 40 shown in fig. 4 is designed for different inertia of the left and right hands. As shown, a game controller 40 includes an elastic pad 201 and a handle 200. The handle 200 includes an operation interface 202 and a fixing portion 207.

In particular, the second operation interface 202 further includes a joystick module 202J, and the relative position of the joystick 202J on the game controller 200 can enhance the operation experience of players with different dominant hands. In other examples, one or a combination of a joystick module, a key module, or a trigger can be configured in the second operation interface 202 to increase the interaction between the mobile device 888 and the player.

The fixing portion 207 is recessed in a side portion of the handle 200. The fixing portion 207 has a first recess and a second recess (not shown). The elastic cushion 201 is disposed on the fixing portion 207 for covering the mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 is fixed on the fixing portion 207 of the handle 200 through the elastic cushion 201. The game controller 40 can be in wired or wireless communication with the mobile device 888.

In this embodiment, a protective case 889 is disposed on the mobile device 888, and the material thereof can be plastic or metal.

Please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 5; fig. 5 shows the game controller 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which the first connecting wire 105 of the first handle 100 is received in the first accommodating portion 63. The first handle has a first accommodating portion 63 for accommodating the first connecting wire 105, and the first plug connector 105P is exposed from the first accommodating portion 63 and adjacent to the first fixing portion 107.

The bottom of the first handle 100 may further include a cover 65, wherein the cover 65, the first accommodating portion 63, the first fixing portion 107, the first groove 107A and the second groove 107B are all communicated to facilitate the connection between the first connecting wire 105 and a port of another handle, or the first connecting wire 105 is telescopically received in the first accommodating portion 63 by an elastic principle. In other words, the cover plate 65 is disposed on the first accommodating portion 63, so that the first connecting wire 105 can be reliably received in the first accommodating portion 63 when the cover plate 65 is disposed on the first accommodating portion 63.

Please refer to fig. 6; FIG. 6 is an exploded view of a game controller with two handles in conjunction with a mobile device according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown, a game controller 60 includes a first elastic pad 101, a first handle 100, a first operation interface 102, a second elastic pad 201, and a second handle 200. The first handle 100 includes a first port 111, a second port 122 and a first fixing portion 107. The second handle 200 includes a third port 233 and a second operator interface 202.

Specifically, the first operation interface 102 is electrically connected to the first port 111, the first fixing portion 107 is recessed in a side portion of the first handle 100, and the first port 111 is disposed in the first fixing portion 107.

In particular, the first elastic cushion 101 is disposed on the first fixing portion 107 for covering the mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 is fixed on the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100 through the first elastic cushion 101.

Specifically, the first port 111 has a first connection wire (not shown) and a first plug connector, the second port 122 is electrically connected to the first port 111, and the first connection wire is connected to the first plug connector.

Specifically, the second operation interface 202 is electrically connected to the third port 133, the second fixing portion 207 is recessed in a side portion of the second handle 200, and the third port 133 is disposed in the second fixing portion 207.

Particularly, the second elastic cushion 201 is disposed on the second fixing portion 207 for covering the mobile device 888, so that the mobile device 888 is fixed on the second fixing portion 207 of the second handle 200 through the second elastic cushion 201.

In particular, the third port 133 has a second connection wire (not shown) and a second plug connector (not shown), the second connection wire connecting the second plug connector. The third port 133 of the second handle 200 may be connected to the second receptacle connector of the second port 122 of the first handle 100 by a second connecting wire and a second plug connector.

Specifically, the bottom of the first handle 100 may further include a cover plate 65, and the bottom of the second handle 200 may further include a cover plate 65'.

Please refer to fig. 6 and fig. 7; FIG. 7 shows a game controller 60 with two handles and a mobile device 888 with an elastic sleeve pad according to an embodiment of the invention. The first elastic sleeve pad 101 and the second elastic sleeve pad 201 are respectively used for being sleeved on two sides of the mobile device 888, so that the two sides of the mobile device 888 are respectively fixed in the fixing portions (107 and 207) of the handles (100 and 200).

Please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 8; FIG. 8 shows a combination of two game controllers with their single-handed grips respectively coupled to a plug connector and a receptacle connector, according to one embodiment of the present invention. In one embodiment, compared to fig. 1, the game controller 80 further includes a second handle 200 and a second operation interface 202. The second handle 200 includes a third port 233, a fourth port 244, and a second fixing portion 207.

The second operation interface 202 is electrically connected to the third port 233, the second fixing portion 207 is recessed in a side portion of the second handle 200, and the third port 133 is disposed in the second fixing portion 207. The third port 133 has a second connection wire 106 and a second plug connector 106P, the second connection wire 106 is connected to the second plug connector 106P, and the fourth port 244 has a fourth socket connector (not shown) and is electrically connected to the third port 233.

In one embodiment, the first port 111, the second port 122, the third port 233 and the fourth port 244 are each one of a Micro USB port, a lightning port or a USB Type-C port.

Micro USB is established by USB standards organization U.S. USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). Micro-USB supports OTG. The definition of the Micro family includes the Micro-B family of sockets used by standard equipment; a Micro-AB socket used by OTG equipment; Micro-A and Micro-B plugs, as well as cables. The Micro series contained a stainless steel housing.

The pin of Lightning is 8 pins, and the positive and negative all can be inserted, and the size is close with Micro USB. Lightning replaces the 30pin connector used for many years.

The Type-C port, namely the USB Type-C, is also called USB-C, is a hardware interface form of a Universal Serial Bus (USB), and is characterized in that the upper end and the lower end of the Type-C port are completely consistent in appearance and the front side and the back side of the USB are distinguished. Most of the 3C devices such as Android mobile devices, notebook computers, desktop computers and even game machines support the port.

In addition, the plug connector of the Type-C port can make a sound after being correctly inserted into the socket connector; through the USB Power Delivery technology, the Type-C port can be used for charging 3C products; the Type-C port has the characteristics of electromagnetic interference (EMI) resistance and radio frequency interference resistance; the Type-C port supports 1 ten thousand plug-unplug times; and the Type-C port can integrate the DisplayPort and can be externally connected with a high-definition screen and a tone quality loudspeaker.

In one embodiment, the second handle 200 has a second receiving portion (not shown) for receiving the second connecting wire 106.

In one embodiment, the third port 233 of the second handle 200 is connected to the second receptacle connector 106O of the second port 122 of the first handle 100 via the second connection wire 106 and the second plug connector 106P.

Please refer to fig. 1, fig. 4 and fig. 9; FIG. 9 illustrates a single handle of a mobile device 888, a first handle 100 and a second handle 200, which can be used with two game controllers, according to an embodiment of the invention. The first handle 100 and the second handle 200 respectively form a top view of the game controller 90 with two handles through the second plug connector 106P and the second socket connector 106O, wherein a protective shell 889 is disposed on the mobile device 888.

In one embodiment, the first handle 100 further comprises: a first battery module 109. Specifically, the first port 111 is a USB Type-C port, and power can be transmitted between the first battery module 109 and the mobile device 888 through the first port 111 and the transmission port 888P.

In one embodiment, the second operation interface 202 is one or a combination of a joystick module 202J and a key module, and the second operation interface 202 generates a control signal, and the control signal is transmitted to the transmission port 888P of the mobile device 888 through the third port and the second port.

Please refer to fig. 10; FIG. 10 shows a combination of two game controllers with a single handle connected to a receptacle connector and a plug connector, respectively, according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown, a game controller 99 includes a first elastic pad 101, a first handle 100, a second elastic pad 201, and a second handle 200. The first handle 100 includes a first port 111, a second port 122, a first fixing portion 107 and a first operation interface 102. The first operation interface 102 is electrically connected to the first port 111. The second handle 200 includes a third port 233 and a second battery module 209.

Specifically, the first operation interface 10 is electrically connected to the first port 111, the first fixing portion 107 is recessed in a side portion of the first handle 100, and the first port 111 is disposed in the first fixing portion 107.

In particular, the first elastic cushion 101 is disposed on the first fixing portion 107 for covering a mobile device (not shown) such that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing portion 107 of the first handle 100 through the first elastic cushion 101.

Specifically, the first port 111 has a first connection wire 111L and a first plug connector 111P, the second port 122 is electrically connected to the first port 111, and the first connection wire 111L is connected to the first plug connector 111P.

Specifically, the second battery module 209 is electrically connected to the third port 233, the second fixing portion 207 is recessed in a side portion of the second handle 200, and the third port 233 is disposed in the second fixing portion 207.

Particularly, the second elastic cushion 201 is disposed on the second fixing portion 207 for covering the mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the second fixing portion 207 of the second handle 200 through the second elastic cushion 201. The third port 233 has a second connection wire (not shown) and a second plug connector (not shown), the second connection wire connecting the second plug connector. The third port 233 of the second handle 200 is connected to a second receptacle connector (not shown) of the second port 122 of the first handle 100 by a second connecting wire and a second plug connector.

In summary, the game controller of the present invention at least has a handle, and a set of ports, connecting wires and plug connectors are formed on a side of the handle. The connecting wire can be extended and retracted to adjust the position of the transmission port suitable for the mobile device and can be accommodated in the accommodating part in the handle.

The game controller has socket connectors on both handles, and any handle can be used as main device to connect with mobile device; the game controller can also be composed of two handles, wherein at least one port of one handle is provided with a socket connector for butt joint with a plug connector of the port of the other handle, so as to form a complete game controller.

The game controller can be combined with a mobile device through double handles, and the game controller can be formed in a single-handle or double-handle mode. The two single handles can be separated for use, and the game table is suitable for light games; the two single handles can also be combined for use, and the multifunctional game machine is suitable for experiencing the complete functions of games. Therefore, the combined game controller can improve the participation experience of the player.

It should be finally noted that while in the foregoing specification, the present inventive concept has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the scope of the present inventive concept as defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A game controller, comprising:

a first elastic sleeve pad; and

a first handle, including a first port, a first operation interface and a first fixing part;

the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port, the first fixing part is concavely arranged on one side part of the first handle, and the first port is arranged on the first fixing part;

the first elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the first fixing portion and used for being sleeved with a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing portion of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve gasket.

2. The game controller of claim 1, further comprising: the second port is arranged on the first handle and is electrically connected with the first port;

wherein the first operation interface is one of a joystick module and a key module and a combination thereof;

wherein the fixing part is provided with a first groove and a second groove;

the first port is provided with a first connecting wire and a first plug connector, the first connecting wire is connected with the first plug connector, the second port is provided with a second socket connector, the first handle is provided with a first accommodating part for accommodating the first connecting wire, and the first plug connector is exposed out of the first accommodating part and is adjacent to the fixing part.

3. The game controller of claim 2, further comprising: a second handle including a third port, a fourth port and a second fixing part;

a second operation interface; and

a second elastic sleeve pad;

the second operation interface is electrically connected with the third port, the second fixing part is concavely arranged on one side part of the second handle, and the third port is arranged on the second fixing part;

the second elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the second fixing part and used for sleeving the mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the second fixing part of the second handle through the second elastic sleeve gasket; the third port is provided with a second connecting wire and a second plug connector, the second connecting wire is connected with the second plug connector, and the fourth port is provided with a fourth socket connector and is electrically connected with the third port.

4. The game controller of claim 3, wherein the first port, the second port, the third port and the fourth port are respectively one of a Micro USB port, a lightning port or a USB Type-C port.

5. The game controller of claim 3, wherein said second handle has a second receiving portion for receiving said second connecting wire.

6. The game controller of claim 3, wherein said third port of said second handle is connected to a second receptacle connector of said second port of said first handle by said second connection wire and said second plug connector.

7. The game controller of claim 6, wherein the second operation interface is one or a combination of a joystick module and a key module, and the second operation interface generates a control signal, and the control signal is transmitted to a transmission port of the mobile device through the third port and the second port.

8. The game controller of claim 4, wherein the first handle further comprises a cover plate for covering the first receiving portion, so that the first connecting wire can be received in the first receiving portion when the cover plate is covered in the first receiving portion; and

and the first battery module is electrically connected with the first port, and transmits electric energy to the mobile device through the first port.

9. A game controller, comprising:

a first elastic sleeve pad;

the first handle comprises a first port, a second port, a first fixing part and a first operation interface;

a second elastic sleeve pad; and

a second handle including a third port and a second operation interface;

the first elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the first fixing part and used for sleeving a mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the first fixing part of the first handle through the first elastic sleeve gasket;

the first port is provided with a first connecting wire and a first plug connector, the second port is electrically connected with the first port, and the first connecting wire is connected with the first plug connector;

the second elastic sleeve gasket is arranged on the second fixing part and used for sleeving the mobile device, so that the mobile device is fixed on the second fixing part of the second handle through the second elastic sleeve gasket;

the third port is provided with a second connecting wire and a second plug connector, and the second connecting wire is connected with the second plug connector; the third port of the second handle is connected to a second receptacle connector of the second port of the first handle by the second connection wire and the second plug connector.

10. A game controller, comprising:

a first elastic sleeve pad;

the first handle comprises a first port, a second port, a first fixing part and a first operation interface, wherein the first operation interface is electrically connected with the first port;

a second elastic sleeve pad; and

a second handle including a third port and a second battery module;

the second battery module is electrically connected with the third port, the second fixing part is concavely arranged on one side part of the second handle, and the third port is arranged on the second fixing part;

wherein the third port has a second connection wire and a second plug connector, the second connection wire connecting the second plug connector;

wherein the third port of the second handle is connected to a second receptacle connector of the second port of the first handle by the second connection wire and the second plug connector.
