Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used throughout the drawings and the description to refer to the same or like parts.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of an electronic paper display according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of the electronic paper display of fig. 1 displaying a stroke input. FIG. 3 shows a schematic diagram of pixels of the handwritten line segment of the embodiment of FIG. 2. Referring to fig. 1 and fig. 2, the electronic paper display 100 of the present embodiment includes an electronic paper display panel 110, a graphic library 120, and a display controller 130. The graphics library 120 is, for example, a graphics library and is stored in a memory storage device. The display controller 130 is coupled to the e-paper display panel 110. The display controller 130 is configured to receive the segment input signal S1, call the graphic library 120 according to the segment input signal S1, and then drive the electronic paper display panel 110 to display the content of the segment input signal S1, i.e. the segment 200, by using the signal waveform set. The signal waveform set is generated by generating the line segment 200 according to the line segment input signal S1 and the pattern library 120. The line segment 200 includes a plurality of gray levels. The line segment 200 may be a handwritten line segment or a pen-written line segment. A line segment input signal, i.e., an input by a user on the electronic paper display panel with a pen, hand, or other tool. In an embodiment of the invention is a pen input signal.
In the present embodiment, the graphic library 120 is, for example, an ski graphic library (two-dimensional graphic library). In fig. 3, the pixels 210 of the line segment 200 may include a white gray scale G0, a black gray scale G30, a first gray scale G10, and a second gray scale G20. One embodiment of the gray scale display can be driven by the schematic diagrams of the signal waveform sets shown in fig. 4 to 6.
Fig. 4, 5 and 6 are schematic diagrams illustrating a signal waveform group according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to fig. 4 to 6, the driving signal waveform V1 shown in fig. 4 is, for example, a display state in which the optical state of the particles in the electronic paper display panel 110 is driven from the initial state of white to black. The driving signal waveform V2 shown in fig. 5 is, for example, a display state in which the optical state of the particles in the electronic paper display panel 110 is driven from the initial state of black to white. The driving signal waveform V3 shown in fig. 6 is, for example, a display state in which the optical state of the particles in the electronic paper display panel 110 is driven from the initial state of white to a different gray. In fig. 4 to 6, voltages VDPS and VDNS are high and low levels of the driving signal waveforms V1, V2 and V3, respectively. The driving time of the driving signal waveforms V1 and V2 is 100 ms to 300 ms, which is shorter than the driving time of the driving signal waveform V3 by 500 ms to 1500 ms. In fig. 4 to 6, the time lengths of the driving signal waveforms V1, V2 and V3 and the embodiments thereof are only for illustration, and the invention is not limited thereto.
Therefore, the display controller 130 calls the graphic library 120 according to the segment input signal S1 to control the display driver 130 to generate the signal waveform groups V1, V2 and V3 as shown in fig. 4 to 6. The signal waveform groups V1, V2, and V3 can drive the e-paper display panel 110 to display a line segment 200 including a plurality of gray levels, and the line segment 200 includes a plurality of gray levels, such as G0 to G30. The manner in which the set of signal waveforms is generated and the structure and operation of the display controller and display driver are sufficiently taught, suggested, and described in the prior art.
Fig. 7 is a flowchart illustrating a driving method of an electronic paper display according to an embodiment of the invention. Referring to fig. 1 and fig. 7, the driving method of the present embodiment is at least applicable to the electronic paper display 100 of fig. 1, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Taking the electronic paper display 100 of fig. 1 as an example, in step S100, the display controller 130 receives the line segment input signal S1. In step S110, the display controller 130 calls the graphic library according to the segment input signal S1 to generate the signal waveform groups V1, V2 and V3. In step S120, the display controller 130 drives the electronic paper display panel 110 to display a line segment including a plurality of gray levels by using the signal waveform set. In addition, the driving method of the electronic paper display according to the embodiment of the present invention can be adequately taught, suggested, and implemented in the descriptions of the embodiments of fig. 1 to 6.
To sum up, in the embodiment of the present invention, in order to solve the problem that the original static database SWTCON can only draw black lines, which results in saw-tooth line segments on the electronic paper display with lower resolution, the display controller changes the function originally used for drawing lines in the static database SWTCON into a SKIA graphic library in the android system to generate handwritten line segments with gray scale compensation, and then matches the handwritten line segments with the signal wave pattern groups, so as to draw smoother line segments.
Finally, it should be noted that: the above embodiments are only used to illustrate the technical solution of the present invention, and not to limit the same; while the invention has been described in detail and with reference to the foregoing embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that: the technical solutions described in the foregoing embodiments may still be modified, or some or all of the technical features may be equivalently replaced; and the modifications or the substitutions do not make the essence of the corresponding technical solutions depart from the scope of the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention.
