Abstract
A method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism, using an infrared imaging device, meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine and a predetermined amount of solid water particles. The method detects a disease by initially identifying at least one hot spot on a patient with an infrared imaging device. At least one acupoint along the meridian path is identified. The hot spot is associated with at least one acupuncture point located on the meridian path. The connection of hot spots and meridian pathways indicates a potential neurodevelopmental disorder. The degree of irregularity of the internal organs is identified by measuring the quantitative temperature at the junction. Solid water particles are administered by delivery means such as oral, topical, vapor and intravenous administration to treat neurodevelopmental disorders.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates generally to a method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders. More importantly, a method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders uses an infrared imaging device to image at least one hot spot on the body to indicate internal organ irregularities, uses traditional chinese medicine meridian theory to identify at least one acupoint along the meridian path, and uses a delivery means to apply a predetermined amount of solid water particles to the hot spot and the junction between the acupoints in different areas of the body.
Background
In general, a neurodevelopmental disorder is an impairment of growth and development of the brain or central nervous system. In particular, neurodevelopmental disorders include brain dysfunction that affects mood, learning, self-control, and memory and manifests as the individual grows. Neurodevelopmental disorders are associated with widely varying degrees of difficulty, which can have significant mental, emotional, physical, and economic consequences for individuals and their families and the society as a whole.
It is well known that normal and abnormal behavior are distinguished by an imperceptible, complex pattern of activity observed or discovered by an expert clinician through a system diagnostic test. In practice, the vast majority of pediatric neuropsychiatric and neurological assessments are based on observing behavior or by asking a caregiver about the condition of a child to understand brain function. Such assessment is particularly difficult for infants and young children who may exhibit limited behavior and limited communication abilities.
It is appreciated that neuroimaging studies linking functional brain activity to behavior are expected to provide exciting opportunities for measuring non-linear brain activity that may be indicative of abnormalities or allow monitoring of response to therapy. The use of electroencephalography (EEG) to measure brain electrical activity has long been a valuable source of information for neuroscience research, but this abundant resource may not be fully exploited in neurological and psychiatric clinical applications. To fully exploit these data, methods are needed to find subtle patterns in the non-linear features and to understand the relationship between the emergency signal features and underlying neurophysiology more deeply.
It is appreciated that a disorder that has recently gained much public awareness is autism spectrum disorder ("ASD"). The number of children with ASD is increasing at an alarming rate. Unfortunately, ASD has no known cure. Some researchers believe that ASD may be associated with gastrointestinal disease, others believe that it may be an autoimmune disease, and others claim to be associated with a virus.
Recognizing that pediatricians often treat children with ASD, most children with ASD are noted to have gastrointestinal problems. However, the definition of neurodevelopmental disorder means that symptoms occur mainly in the brain. Whatever the actual source, the problem of treating ASD as brain only may be too limiting.
Conventionally, traditional chinese medicine has used acupuncture and qigong massage to treat ASD with varying degrees of success. Many TCM are based on the theory of meridians. The meridians are a discrete, non-physical network that connects different parts of the body (i.e., internal organs) together. It creates a comprehensive map within the body, creating a pathway for organ communication and delivery of energy or gas. Along the meridian path, there are points.
It is known that there are yin-yang meridians in the theory of meridians and collaterals and in acupuncture and moxibustion. The yang channel includes the area around each acupuncture point along the Gallbladder (GB), Bladder (BL), Stomach (ST), Small Intestine (SI), large intestine and triple energizer (SJ) meridians. These meridians are the yang meridians, which start from the head and thus branch into the brain and down to the gastrointestinal and bladder systems. The extension of each meridian affects the organ to which it corresponds and the local area in which they operate.
Other proposals relate to methods of treating neurodevelopmental disorders. The problem with these devices is that they do not integrate traditional chinese medicine with modern medicine.
Accordingly, there is an unresolved need in the industry to address the above-described deficiencies and inadequacies. Although the above-described method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders satisfies a part of market demand, it is still desirable that the method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism, uses an infrared imaging device, meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine and a predetermined amount of solid water particles to detect, treat and prevent neurodevelopmental disorders.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention relates to a method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders. The method images at least one hot spot on the body with an infrared imaging device to indicate irregularities of internal organs, identifies at least one acupuncture point along a meridian path with traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory, and applies a predetermined amount of solid water particles to different areas of the body at junctions between the hot spot and the acupuncture point with a delivery means.
The method is configured to detect a disease by initially identifying at least one hot spot on the body. Hot spots are detected by capturing a thermal imager image on a portion of the body with an infrared imaging device, such as a thermal imager. The thermal imager image may display at least one hot spot on the body. Hot spots may indicate abnormalities of internal organs in the body.
The method also identifies at least one acupoint disposed along a meridian path of the body. Those skilled in the art will recognize that meridian pathways comprise discrete, non-physical networks connecting different internal organs of the body. The meridian path can also be defined as the energy flow line from the internal organs to the body surface. Those skilled in the art will recognize that the meridian pathways are determined by traditional Chinese medicine means.
In one possible embodiment, the acupuncture points used in the method are specific points on a body surface located on the path of the meridians. The acupuncture points may also be defined as points on the body into which acupuncture needles may be inserted for treatment, as used in traditional chinese medicine.
Once the hotspot and the at least one acupoint along the meridian path are determined, a connection is determined where the hotspot at least partially engages the at least one acupoint. The connection must be approximately on the meridian path.
The connection between the hot spot and the acupuncture point indicates a possibly problematic organ, which may be a symptom of autism. This is because meridians, like optical fibers, carry heat from internal organs to the body surface. Thus, the higher body surface temperature indicated by the hot spot is a reflection of the temperature of the internal organs through which the meridians pass.
In particular, high temperature at the acupuncture points along the meridian pathway is a sign of inflammation of internal organs. Those skilled in the art will recognize that inflamed internal organs emit thermal infrared radiation that preferentially travels along meridian pathways and peaks at known points near the body surface. Thus, the method measures the degree of inflammation of the internal organs by quantifying the temperature at the acupuncture points. In essence, abnormalities of internal organs can be revealed by thermography of the body and corresponding problem organs and meridian pathways.
Once the connection between the hot spot and the at least one acupoint is identified, the treatment is initiated. The treatment may comprise administering a predetermined amount of solid water particles to the body with a delivery system. In one embodiment, SWP consists of pure water molecules only, no other chemicals, and generally no harmful side effects. SWPs may include, but are not limited to, stabilized water clusters, polyhydrogen dioxide, and IE。
The delivery system comprises at least one of: oral administration, topical administration, vapor administration, and intravenous administration. Solid water particles can be applied to the joint and body in various ways in an attempt to cure neurodevelopmental disorders. One exemplary administration of the solid water particles includes the pregnant mother drinking the solid water particles or applying any number of other possible applications of the solid water particles to her child.
One aspect of a method for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders comprises:
determining, with an infrared imaging device, at least one hot spot on a body, the at least one hot spot indicating, at least in part, that at least one internal organ of the body has an irregularity;
determining at least one acupoint along at least one meridian path, the at least one meridian path defined by a network interconnecting at least one internal organ;
identifying a connection between at least one hotspot and at least one acupoint;
identifying a degree of irregularity of the at least one internal organ by measuring a quantitative temperature at the junction; and
a predetermined amount of solid water particles is applied by delivery means to the joint approximately.
In one aspect of the method, the at least one meridian pathway includes at least one selected from the group consisting of: the urinary bladder channel, the stomach channel, the gallbladder channel, the large intestine channel, the small intestine channel, and the triple energizer channel.
In another aspect, the at least one acupoint comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of: the left and right front middle ears; left and right intraocular points; left and right neck portions near the shoulders; meridians; left and right forehead temple regions;
left and right clavicular regions; left and right armpits; and a line segment at the bottom of the neck.

In one embodiment of the present invention, as presented in fig. 1-8, a method 100 for detecting, treating and preventing a neurodevelopmental disorder utilizes an infrared imaging device, the principles of traditional Chinese medicine meridians and a predetermined amount of solid water particles to aid in the detection, treatment and prevention of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism. In one embodiment, the method 100 is of particular interest for the effectiveness of Solid Water Particles (SWPs) on neurodevelopmental disorders, such as children with autism spectrum disorders.
As referenced in the flowchart of fig. 1, the method 100 may include an initial step 102 of determining at least one hot spot on the body with an infrared imaging device, the at least one hot spot indicating, at least in part, that at least one internal organ of the body has an irregularity. The infrared imaging device may comprise a thermal imager. Those skilled in the art will recognize that a thermal imager is an instrument that produces a recorded trace or image representing a varying temperature or infrared radiation over an area or period of time. Thermal imagers or infrared imaging systems have been used for many years, primarily for breast cancer detection and imaging.
The method 100 detects a disease by initially identifying at least one hot spot on the body. Hot spots are detected by capturing a thermal imager image on a portion of the body with an infrared imaging device, such as a thermal imager. The thermal imager image may display at least one hot spot on the body. Hot spots may indicate abnormalities of internal organs in the body.
The method 100 further includes a step 104 of determining at least one acupoint along at least one meridian path defined by a network interconnecting at least one internal organ. In some embodiments, the at least one meridian pathway may include, but is not limited to, bladder meridian, stomach meridian, biliary meridian, large intestine meridian, small intestine meridian, and triple warmer meridian (tripe heater meridian).
The method 100 also identifies at least one acupoint disposed along a meridian path of the body. In some embodiments, the at least one acupoint may include, but is not limited to, left GB14, left SJ21, left BL1, left ST12, left GB22, right GB14, right SJ21, right BL1, right ST12, right GB22, and SI line segments of the bottom of the neck.
We look for twelve areas in the thermography to see if there are hot areas or hot spots, which correspond to the acupuncture points and meridians. As discussed in table 1 below, the twelve regions include: left and right front middle ear: SJ 21; left and right intraocular points: BL 1; left and right neck (near shoulders): SI warp yarns; left and right forehead temple areas: GB 14; left and right clavicle regions: ST 12; and left and right armpits: GB 22. In summary, these points are defined as six pairs; and the other (SJ21, BL1, SI, GB14, ST12, GB 22). There are also two thermal zones associated with the organs beneath the body surface. They are the digestive tract region and the reproductive organs.
TABLE 1
Those skilled in the art will recognize that meridian pathways comprise discrete networks connecting different internal organs of the body.
The acupuncture points can also be defined as points on the body into which acupuncture needles can be inserted for treatment, as used in traditional Chinese medicine.
In some embodiments, step 106 may include identifying connections between at least one hotspot and at least one acupoint. Once the hotspot and the at least one acupoint along the meridian path are determined, a connection is determined that the hotspot at least partially engages the at least one acupoint. The connection must be approximately on the meridian path.
It is noteworthy that the basis of the method 100 is that, based on the traditional Chinese medicine meridian theory, the body surface temperature phenomenon is related to internal organs. Thus, the higher body surface temperature indicated by the hot spot is a reflection of the temperature of the internal organs through which the meridians pass. The hot spots and hot lines on the body surface reflect the inflammation of the internal organs, as measured by an infrared imaging device.
Thus, the connection between the hot spot and the acupuncture point indicates a possibly problematic organ, which may be a symptom of autism. This is because meridians, like optical fibers, carry heat from internal organs to the body surface. In addition, infrared imaging devices provide a non-invasive, passive thermal detector that can be photographed in a few seconds without affecting the health of the body. Thermal images can be taken before and several minutes after treatment to determine the effectiveness of the treatment. If the treatment of a specific organ is ineffective, the temperature of its corresponding meridians does not change. Thus, the effectiveness of the treatment can be assessed using an infrared imaging device.
Step 108 includes identifying the degree of irregularity of the at least one internal organ by measuring the quantitative temperature at the junction.
A final step 110 includes applying a predetermined amount of solid water particles substantially to the joint by delivery means. SWPs may include, but are not limited to, stabilized water clusters, polyhydrogen dioxide, and IE. The delivery system comprises at least one of: oral administration, topical administration, vapor administration, and intravenous administration.
Solid water particles can be applied to the joint and body by means of delivery, thereby attempting to cure neurodevelopmental disorders. The delivery means may comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of: oral administration, topical administration, vapor administration, and intravenous administration.
In some embodiments, oral administration may include a liquid, pill, or gel consisting of a predetermined amount of solid water particles. Topical administration may include a cream consisting of a predetermined amount of solid water particles. Vapor administration may include nebulizers and inhalers consisting of a predetermined amount of solid water particles. Intravenous administration may include intravenous injection consisting of a predetermined amount of SWP.
In one possible embodiment, the cure mechanism for SWP can be explained simply as follows: it is assumed that meridians are composed of DHW (stable water clusters in the shape of double helix). The dysfunction of organs along the meridians is explained by TCM as the failure of qi to circulate along the meridians. By drinking SWP, the supplementary water can repair the channels and collaterals, dredge the channels and collaterals and ensure that qi is unobstructed again.
In one embodiment, delivery system D delivers solid water particles to a subject receiving treatmentαIncludes four delivery systems, denoted as DαWhere α ═ d, c, b and v, where "d" denotes the digestive system, "c" denotes the cream, "b" denotes the breath, and "v" denotes intravenous injection.
SWP D for digestive systemdIngestion, which may be in the form of drinking a cup of SWP, or a pill or gel containing SWP. SWP is taken orally and mainly acts on the stomachAnd (4) forming a system. Some will be absorbed in the mouth directly into the blood.
Furthermore, D of SWPcIngestion is via the skin via a topical cream consisting of SWP.
D of SWP by respirationbThis may be done by a nebulizer or inhaler or any other means. SWP will reach directly up to the brain and down to the lungs, unlike DdAs in the method of (3) through the stomach.
D of SWP by intravenous methodvIngestion is directly into the bloodstream.
In one exemplary administration, the cream is at least topically applied to at least one selected from the group consisting of: left and right anterior middle ear, left and right intraocular points, left and right neck (near shoulders), left and right forehead temple region, left and right clavicle region, left and right armpit, SI line segment at the bottom of neck. In another exemplary administration of the solid water particles, the pregnant mother drinks the solid water particles or gives her child any number of other possible solid water particle administration means.
The method 100 may include the additional step of applying a predetermined amount of solid water particles to about the junction by delivery. These steps may include: administering the liquid, pill or gel to the mother of the infant, the infant being breastfed by the mother; and administering the cream, liquid, pill or gel directly to the infant.
In particular, there are two ways in which the prevention of development of autistic behaviour in children can be initiated. The first way is that the mother starts to drink SWP as soon as the baby is born. In this way, some SWP will be delivered to the infant by breast feeding. If the baby is fed with the artificial milk, the SWP concentrated solution can be added into the artificial milk and directly fed to the baby. An alternative delivery means is a cream with a pre-determined amount of SWP, which can be applied directly to the skin of the infant under the supervision of a pediatrician. This may apply without exception to all infants if the family would like to have the infants receive SWP treatment.
The second way is when the baby is ready. In this embodiment, the family must allow infrared thermal scanning. Thus, when the infant's thermograph contains hotspots and hotspot areas that resemble ASD childhood symptoms, treatment with SWP can be initiated immediately using any of the four delivery modalities described above. Notably, if the baby does not want to drink any SWP water, the simplest application is SWP cream.
In alternative embodiments of the method 100, other therapies, such as behavioral therapy, physiological therapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, drug and/or biofeedback, information, exo-air applications, and at least one alternative method prescribed by a medical professional, as well as other alternative and supplemental methods appropriate for each patient, may be added.
Provided below is a medical record of a patient treated according to the present invention, which provides evidence of the effectiveness of the treatment methods described herein. The following examples are intended to illustrate the practice of the preferred embodiments of the present invention. Many additional embodiments and improvements will be apparent in view of the following examples.
In an exemplary use of the method 100, parents and guardians of children diagnosed with ASD are mobilized by delivery and by announcement. The study was conducted under the supervision of a holding physician at a medical visit to Panama. A total of thirteen autistic children completed the long-term study. The duration of the test is one to three months. The average treatment time was two months. During the test period, each subject had no dietary requirements or changes.
During the time between the initial visit and the subsequent visit, each subject was asked to drink an 8 ounce cup of the special water mix twice a day, morning and evening, and to apply the SWP cream twice a day until their subsequent visit. This particular water mixture was made by mixing 50 drops of SWP into 1 gallon of distilled water. The mixture was then stirred and shaken to ensure proper mixing. The SWP cream contained 7% SWP.
The subject may be given a more concentrated form of SWP, e.g., 100 to 300 times, the rate of improvement will be accelerated. The improvement is theoretically only a logarithmic dependence of the amount of SWP taken. If 100 times are used, the improvement time will be only several times faster.
At the initial visit, each subject's parents were asked to fill out a 10 point health questionnaire that provided the quantitative portion of our report. Next, a thermographic image of the entire body was taken. After thermography, each child was given 8 ounces of SWP water and applied a 7% SWP cream in the following six standard areas: left and right GB14 on the forehead, left and right SJ21 on the tragus, and left and right ST12 above the clavicle. After SWP treatment of water and cream, they were asked to wait 15 minutes. After a duration of 15 minutes, a second set of thermographic images was taken of the entire body. Images before and after SWP treatment were analyzed for side-by-side comparison.
It is noteworthy that the change in the highest temperature before and after SWP treatment at the meridian point was taken as an indication of SWP effectiveness in the study. This standard was applicable to this study conducted in panama, involving 13 ASD subjects. Although the entire body of each subject was photographed, we focused on these areas: body surface temperature distribution of the front and back of the face, chest, abdomen, legs and feet, upper and lower back, back neck region and left and right sides of neck.
For better understanding and analysis, all thermographic images are displayed in colors with thermal differences. The temperature range corresponds to the color displayed by the temperature map. The hottest is white and then gradually decreases with temperature; the color pattern starts with red, yellow, green, blue and black (as coldest). The color scale was adjusted so that green represents healthy state and the other colors, yellow, red and white, represent inflamed tissue.
In analyzing all thermography, we mainly focused on very hot areas, which in our current scheme were red and/or white, where white was the most inflamed. Hyperthermia along the meridians is interpreted as inflammation of organs and tissues along the meridians and is considered to be in an unhealthy state.
Similarly, in this study, images taken before and after SWP treatment had the same temperature scale to show accurate analysis of temperature changes. Thus, FIGS. 2-8 show the effect of SWP before and after treatment. Images taken before SWP treatment are in the left column. Images taken 15 minutes after SWP treatment are in the right column, corresponding to their respective "pre-treatment" images.
When analyzing thermal images, there are six colors in these thermal images: white, then hottest, then red, yellow, green, blue and black spanning 8 ℃. From one color to another there is 1.6 ℃. There are three distinguishable chromaticities in each color. Therefore, when a different shade of color is observed, it changes by about 0.5 ℃. The statistical fluctuation of skin temperature was about 0.1 ℃. There are five standard deviations when the shade of the color is observed, and therefore, statistical significance, provided that all other conditions remain unchanged for a duration of 15 minutes.
The short term results of the method 100 are as follows: these findings present some common hot spot areas seen in all ASD subjects studied to date by us. In this study we have only presented the study in panama on 13 subjects diagnosed with ASD of varying degrees. Some representative examples of typical ASD thermal zones along six meridians may include: the stomach meridian (ST), the bladder meridian (BL), the gallbladder meridian (GB), the large intestine meridian (LI), the small intestine meridian (SI), and the triple energizer meridian (SJ). The six meridians are called yang meridians, and are the meridians connecting the head with the digestive system and the bladder system.
It is also important to note that the condition of these six meridians should be viewed for all brain related diseases. Treatment of any brain related problem should affect some of these six meridians. Alternatively, any healing effect on the six meridians may have an effect on the brain.
Fig. 2 refers to an example of a thermal image 200 showing a hot spot 202 and acupuncture points located at the gastric meridian (ST) and a hot spot 204 located at the large intestinal meridian (LI). Figure 2 shows three groups of facial thermographs from three ASD subjects. The left images (images A, C and E) were taken before any SWP treatment, and the right images (B, D and F) were taken 15 minutes after SWP treatment.
Here, image a shows two red lines extending from around the nose, under the eyes, down to opposite sides of the mouth, and connected together above the chin, under the mouth. They are identified as the ST meridians. Similar red lines can be seen on D and E. It is clear that in the first row a and B, SWP treatment has a cooling effect. Thus, when comparing images a and B, the two red lines on image a cool to green and yellow. Two faint red ST lines are shown in the second row of C and D. When comparing the previous image C and the subsequent image D, the temperature increases from light red to dark red. In the third row, E and F, the two red ST lines cool to yellow.
Based on the color and temperature analysis discussed in the materials and methods section, these three sets of pictures demonstrate the effect of SWP on ST meridians. In addition, on images D and E, there are two red horizontal red lines below the nose and above the mouth. These red lines can be easily identified as large intestinal tract (LI). For the first subject shown in images a and B, we did not see LI meridians across the upper lip. In the second row, LI from the second subject warmed up and LI from the third subject cooled channels.
Fig. 3 refers to an example of a thermal image 300 showing hot spots 304 and acupuncture points located at the biliary (GB) meridian. Fig. 3 shows a hot spot 302 on the right-hand contour of the heads of two subjects. Both subjects appeared in a red zone approximately one inch above the temple, which was identified by acupoint GB 14. Two red dots, GB1, commonly known as temples, are placed beside the two right eyes.
Thus, when comparing images G and H before and after GB14 cooled from dark red to light red 15 minutes after application of SWP and drinking of SWP water. Images I and J in the bottom row GB14 turned deep red after SWP application, as opposed to G and H. The white dots on the temple, the uppermost row of acupuncture point GB1 cooled to a red dot, while the GB1 hot red dot near the right eye of the subject in the lowermost row shown on the figure did not change.
Fig. 4 refers to an example of a thermal image 400 showing a hot white spot 402 at an acupoint (SJ21) and a hot spot 404 and acupoint at the small intestinal tract (SI). Fig. 4 shows thermographs of the left and right sides of the subject's head. All four photographs presented red vertical lines on the side necks. They are identified as small intestine channels (SI) according to the meridian theory and acupuncture. No color change was observed from image K (before) to image L (after).
However, the white areas in images M and N indicate that the white areas at the ends of the red SI lines were reduced by more than half before (M) and after (N) SWP application. There was a distinct white hot spot at the tragus, identified as acupuncture point SJ 21. When comparing K and L, the area of the white spot is significantly reduced by half. However, we did not see a significant change from M to N.
Fig. 5 refers to an example of a thermal image 500 showing hot spots 502 and acupuncture points located at the bladder meridian (BL). Fig. 5 shows that the two vertical red lines above the two eyes of the two subjects shown in the top and bottom rows are identified as bladder channels (BL). In the top row (O and P), the two deep red BL lines cool to light red lines, and in the bottom row (Q and R), after SWP, the two vertical BL lines heat up to deep red lines. The white point on the inner side of the eye is acupoint BL 1. Inflammation of the BL meridians and acupuncture point BL1 indicates an unhealthy condition of an organ somewhere along the BL meridians. Interestingly, there are also other red lines below the nose and above the mouth, which are identified as the large intestine channel (LI). In all four images, the two red lines under the eyes, along the nose and under the mouth, are identified as the gastric channel (ST).
Fig. 6 refers to an example of a thermal image 600 showing hot spots 602 and acupuncture points located in the axilla region. Fig. 6 shows thermography of the axillary area of two subjects. From our studies on adult subjects with other health problems, we found that there is a correlation between white areas in the axilla associated with lymph node inflammation or an overactive immune system and related health problems. Also, it is often found that the immune system of children with ASD is overactive. Thus, some researchers claim that ASD may be caused by immune system malfunction. In these images, we see that the hot white areas of both subjects turn red after SWP. This suggests that SWP has a significant effect on the function of the immune system. The reduction in inflammation is thought to be a positive impact of SWP on immune system health.
Fig. 7 refers to an example of a thermal image 700 showing a hot spot 702 and acupuncture points located in the lower abdominal region. Fig. 7 shows the lower abdominal region of three subjects. In the top row (W and X), the abdominal region of the subject is warmed. After SWP, the yellow horizontal line in the upper colon region increased in temperature from red to a darker red color (Y compared to Z). In the bottom row (a and b), the lower abdominal region of the subject is cooled. The wide horizontal red area corresponds to the colon. After SWP, the white area around the genitals was reduced by more than 90%.
In a detailed adult study, it is clear that the hot spots and lines tend to heat up either the first minute or the second minute after SWP application. If the health condition is not severe, cooling will occur. However, if the health condition is severe, it becomes hotter. Adult situations may be applicable to those presenting ASD children. Our preliminary conclusion is that SWP is active, whether the body is warming or cooling, at least within 15 minutes after SWP application, which is a positive indication.
Fig. 8 refers to an example of a thermal image 800 showing hot spots and acupuncture points located in the back region. Figure 8 shows a subject with a red hot spot 802 that is vertical along the middle of the back. Note that many children have such hot areas on their backs. It is clear that after consumption of SWP, the red areas are significantly reduced and the green areas are significantly increased. Significant changes are seen across the back along the spine.
For long-term quantitative results of the method 100, a 10-point health assessment form may be filled out by parents and guardians of autistic children to determine quantitative improvement of their children. Parents filled out the questionnaire at the time of initial visit and the same questionnaire form was filled out 6-9 weeks after SWP treatment began. They are asked to evaluate their children using a scale from 1 to 10 of unhealthy/non-functional or healthy/functional, respectively.
Based on the observations, parents are asked to assign numbers from 1 to 10 weekly, depending on the problem or ability level of the child during the week. On the table, 1 represents the best health condition and 10 represents the worst. At the end of the long-term study, the parent is asked to fill out the form again. By comparing the final form with the initial form filled in at the beginning, a quantitative measure of improvement to the child is obtained. Quantitative data are shown in table 1 above.
The ten evaluation areas queried in the questionnaire are as follows:
1. a digestive system: eating, appetizing, drinking, stomach, etc
2. Defecation and urination
3. Body movement: repetitive, forced, uncontrolled
4. Sleep and awake
5. Communication requirements, compliance instructions
6. Language ability
7. Non-verbal expression: eye contact, facial expressions, signs, gestures
8. Social skills: the relationship between other people and the fellow
9. Attention span or focus
10. Ability to participate in academic research
Here, sjIs the parent's score to the child on question j, where question j ranges from 1 to 10 as described above. sjThe value of (d) ranges from 1 to 10, with 1 being the best case and 10 being the worst case. E.g. s99 means that the attention of the child is poor. On the other hand, s22 means that his defecation is very good. Most interesting was the improvement achieved by the child during the trial. Thus, an important amount would be improvement, Δ s:
Δsj=sj(1)-sj(12) equation (1)
Wherein s isj(1) Represents week 1, i.e. the score at the start of the clinical trial, and sj(12) Represents the 12 th week, i.e. the score at the end of the clinical trial. Questions 1 to 4 are directed to assessing the physiological state of a child. We denote the mean as
Δp=1/4(Δs1+Δs2+Δs3+Δs4) Equation (2)
When deltapPositive, indicates that the physiological state of the child has improved during the trial. If ΔpNegative indicates that the physiological state of the child has deteriorated. Questions 5 to 9 are assessments of the behavior and developmental status of children. We expressed the mean behavioral and developmental improvements as
Δd=1/6(Δs5+Δs6+Δs7+Δs8+Δs9+Δs10) Equation (3)
Similarly, when ΔdPositive means that the child's behavior and development status are improved. On the contrary, when ΔdNegative indicates that the child's behavior and development has deteriorated. The results are shown in table 2 as the percent improvement in physiological and behavioral state for each subject.
Table 2 is as follows:
the cure mechanism of SWP can be explained simply as follows: it is assumed that meridians are composed of DHW (stable water clusters in the shape of double helix). The functional disorder of organs along the meridians is explained by the traditional Chinese medicine that qi is obstructed along the meridians. By drinking SWP, the supplementary water can repair the channels and collaterals, dredge the channels and collaterals and ensure that qi is unobstructed again.
Essentially, the blocked channels and collaterals resemble rivers blocked by boulders; the gas does not flow smoothly. DHW creates a spare river around the blockage. Alternatively, DHW unblocks the boulders so gas can flow smoothly again in both routes. The organs along the meridians will then be cured. Inflammation of internal organs is reduced. As observed by the photographed thermographic image, the hot areas along the meridians cool or heat up to green temperatures.
Hot spot BL1 in the eye region, where the white temperature has been found to be typically 2 deg.c higher than the temperature of a normal healthier area, which usually tends to green (fig. 2). Thus, if one were to interpret a thermal map of a face, one would say that the eyes are inflamed. However, none of our ASD children reported eye problems. Using meridian theory, it is clear that the hyperthermia at BL1 of the canthus comes from organ inflammation along the bladder channel. The meridians, like the optic fibers of infrared radiation, transmit information (inflammation along the organs of the meridians) to the observable surface points of the acupuncture points BL 1. Parents of these autistic children often report that their children suffer from constipation or diarrhea, which is some form of digestive tract problem. In other adult studies, we found that hot spots in BL1 generally indicate constipation problems.
The hot spot above the clavicle area is ST12, depending on the acupuncture and meridians. Our hot spot study in the adult clavicle region indicates that this represents thyroid dysfunction. In addition, according to meridian theory and acupuncture practice, the path traveled by meridians affects local areas. Thus, the infrared radiation from inflamed thyroid glands, located above the clavicles on both the left and right sides of the neck, is transmitted through the stomach channel. This means that the thyroid gland of autistic children can be problematic. Therefore, we propose to confirm thyroid dysfunction in blood tests of autistic children.
Likewise, the hot area under the armpit is where GB22 is located. It may also be interpreted as inflammation of the lymph nodes under the arm. Inflammation may be caused by the immune system working excessively. This explanation supports the idea that over-functioning of the immune system may be a major component of ASD.
The thermography reveals a clear thermal pattern of the body surface temperature of autistic children. These thermographic images provide a graphical guide as to where to place the needle and where to clear the airway for practitioners using acupuncture or qigong to treat ASD.
In fig. 7, thermographs of the abdomen of the subject, images a and b, show that the subject has inflammation in the colon and small intestine regions. Furthermore, most of our autistic children develop abnormal temperature distributions in the body surface regions of the gastrointestinal tract and the head region. From the standpoint of meridian theories and traditional Chinese medicine, cerebral diseases and gastrointestinal diseases are related. Diseases of various parts of the body are manifested by the obstruction of qi circulation along the meridian system. Removing the air blocking along the meridians by any one of qigong, acupuncture, chinese medicine or SWP can reduce the abdominal and cerebral abnormalities at the same time.
In the above discussion of the thermal model of an ASD, it is clear that the model does not rely on meridian theory, although it does provide a reasonable explanation of the model. Therefore, if this consistency of the first-order thermal pattern is demonstrated in future studies of more ASD children, the thermal pattern should be used as a diagnostic tool. Thermal imagers are inexpensive, non-invasive and non-physical.
Thus, a child may be used as a diagnostic tool for younger children, for example, one year old, before any behavioral disturbance may be observed. It is generally accepted that the earlier treatment is applied to autistic children, the earlier the health problem is helped or resolved. Through early diagnosis, treatment methods such as herbal supplements, qigong massage or DHW can be taken earlier, and development of ASD can be prevented and prevented more effectively.
This was a preliminary study using a thermal imager to thermally image 13 ASD children to find any abnormal thermal pattern of the ASD children's body surface temperature distribution. We have discovered a consistent set of heat patterns that are characteristic of ASD children. If these patterns remain the same for larger ASD child specimens, a thermal imager may be a promising tool to detect ASD and track the progress of ASD improvement.
When viewed through meridian theory, these characteristic thermal patterns confirm that meridians connecting the head and gastrointestinal system (biliary, bladder, gastric and small bowel meridians) are the most important meridians associated with ASD. The hot spots seen on the thermal imager can provide guidance for various methods of traditional Chinese medicine, such as where to insert needles during acupuncture and where to perform qigong treatment. In particular, we have demonstrated that in each subject, the body's thermal pattern changes within 15 minutes after drinking SWP. Qualitative and quantitative evidence from thermography and parental assessments indicated that drinking SWP improved the health of all 13 subjects.
Finally, using quantitative analysis of the health questionnaire by the subject's parental answers, we were able to conclude that a curative effect of SWP on ASD subjects for up to three months during the trial was observed.
In summary, the method 100 for detecting, treating and preventing neurodevelopmental disorders utilizes an infrared imaging device, meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and a predetermined amount of solid water particles to detect, treat and prevent neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism. The method detects a disease by initially identifying at least one hot spot on a patient with an infrared imaging device. At least one acupoint along the meridian path is identified. The hot spot is associated with at least one acupuncture point located on the meridian path. The junction of the hot spots and meridian pathways indicates a potential neurodevelopmental disorder. The degree of irregularity of the internal organs is identified by measuring the quantitative temperature at the junction. Solid water particles are administered by delivery means such as oral, topical, vapor and intravenous administration to treat neurodevelopmental disorders.
Since many modifications, variations and changes in detail can be made to the described preferred embodiment of the invention, it is intended that all matters in the foregoing description and shown in the accompanying drawings be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense. Accordingly, the scope of the invention should be determined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents.
