Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, like numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. The embodiments described in the following exemplary embodiments do not represent all embodiments consistent with the present invention. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the invention, as detailed in the appended claims.
As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment provides a wireless charging method applied in a wireless charging receiving end, the method including:
s11: when wireless charging is carried out according to a first protection mechanism, the transmitting power of a wireless charging transmitting terminal is obtained;
s12: determining the receiving power of the wireless charging receiving end;
s13: determining actual loss according to the transmitting power and the receiving power, namely determining actual power loss;
s14: and determining the charging power of the wireless charging according to the power interval corresponding to the actual loss.
The wireless charging method provided by the embodiment of the application can be applied to a wireless charging receiving end comprising a wireless charging receiver. The wireless charging receiving end includes but is not limited to: the mobile terminal such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer or a wearable device can also be other fixed devices capable of receiving wireless charging.
In some embodiments, when the wireless charging is performed according to the first protection mechanism, the transmission power of the wireless charging transmitting terminal is directly received, or the charging current and the charging voltage transmitted by the wireless charger are received. For example, the wireless charging receiving end receives the transmission power using in-band communication, or receives the transmission power through out-of-band communication. And the wireless charging receiving end adopts in-band communication to receive and calculate the charging voltage and the charging current of the transmitting power, or receives and calculates the charging current or the charging voltage of the transmitting power through out-of-band communication.
For example, when in-band communication is used, the charging signal and the information signal for wireless charging use the same carrier. When out-of-band communication is adopted, different carriers are adopted for the charging signal of the wireless charger and the information signal of the transmitting power. The information signal here may be: a signal of the transmitted power, or a signal of the charging current and the charging voltage.
In the embodiment of the present application, the wireless charging receiving terminal determines its own receiving power. After receiving the charging signal of the wireless charging, the wireless charging receiving end converts the alternating current charging signal into a direct current signal; and determining the receiving power of the wireless charging receiving end according to the current value and the voltage value of the direct current signal.
Once the transmit power and receive power are known, the transmit power can be subtracted from the receive power, and the resulting difference is the actual loss.
Different losses correspond to different power intervals. One power interval includes: an upper power limit and a lower power limit. The lower power limit is less than the upper power limit. One power interval corresponds to one loss value or one loss interval. One loss interval includes: an upper loss limit and a lower loss limit.
And if the power interval corresponding to the actual loss is the power interval, determining the charging power of the wireless charging.
For example, if the power interval corresponding to the actual loss is not the power interval corresponding to the current charging power, the charging power for wireless charging is used, and the wireless charging is re-determined. The re-determination of wireless charging here may include: the present charging power is reduced or increased according to the actual loss, thereby achieving a charging efficiency that is ensured and a possible reduced risk of overcurrent. If in some embodiments, if the current charging power is determined again, the determined charging power is sent to the wireless charging transmitting terminal; or, if the current charging power is determined again, the indication information of the power interval corresponding to the determined charging power is sent to the wireless charging transmitting terminal. After receiving the re-determined charging power or the indication information of the power interval corresponding to the current charging power determined by charging, the wireless charging transmitting terminal adjusts its own transmitting power. Through the adjustment of the transmitting power, the charging damage of the charging equipment caused by overcurrent is reduced; or, charging efficiency is improved.
The charging device includes, but is not limited to, the wireless charging transmitting terminal and the wireless charging receiving terminal.
For another example, if the power interval corresponding to the actual loss is the power interval corresponding to the current charging power, the current charging power of the wireless charging is maintained.
The power intervals are divided by the same power step; alternatively, the plurality of power intervals are divided into different power intervals.
In some embodiments, the power step may be determined according to the maximum charging power supported by the wireless charging protocol, and the power interval may be divided.
For example, the maximum charging power supported by the private charging protocol is 30W, and if the power step size is 5W, the power intervals may be as follows: 5W-10W, 10W-15W, 15W-20W, 20W-25W and 25W-30W.
For another example, the maximum charging power supported by the EPP protocol is 15W, and if the power step is 4W, the power intervals may be as follows: 5W-9W, 9W-13W and 13W-15W. If the power step is 5W, the power intervals may be as follows: 5W-10W and 10W-15W.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 2, the S14 may include:
s141: determining whether the actual loss corresponds to a power interval in which the current charging power is located according to the actual loss and a target loss of the power interval in which the current charging power is located;
s142: and if the actual loss does not correspond to the power interval where the current charging power is located, adjusting the current charging power.
For example, the current charging power is between the power interval 25W-30W, the charging interval of 25W-30W sets the loss interval, or sets the maximum loss value. Here, the loss section or the maximum loss value is an example of the above-mentioned target loss.
For example, if the actual loss is greater than the maximum loss value in the target loss, it may be considered that the actual loss does not correspond to the target loss in the power interval where the current charging power is located; otherwise, the actual loss is considered to correspond to the power interval in which the current low charging power exists.
For another example, if the actual loss is outside the loss interval corresponding to the interval where the current charging power is located, it is determined that the actual loss does not correspond to the power interval where the current charging power is located; otherwise, the actual calculation is considered to correspond to the power range in which the current charging power is located.
In some embodiments, the S142 may include:
and if the actual loss does not correspond to the power interval of the current charging power and is greater than the target loss of the power interval of the current charging power, reducing the current charging power. So as to ensure that the power loss is below the target loss corresponding to the current power difference in the power interval where the different charging powers are located.
And when the actual loss does not correspond to the power interval of the current charging power, if the target loss is the maximum loss, the actual loss is larger than the target loss of the power interval of the current charging power cable, and the current charging power is automatically reduced.
For example, each power interval is sorted from large to small according to the charging power corresponding to the power interval, and the charging power corresponding to the next power interval can be automatically switched when the current charging function is reduced.
For another example, the impedance of the wireless charging is estimated according to the current actual loss, and the charging power suitable for the current impedance is calculated according to the impedance and the charging power corresponding to each power interval.
For another example, if the actual loss does not correspond to the power interval in which the previous charging power is located, and the actual loss is smaller than the minimum loss of the power interval in which the current charging power is located, the current charging power is increased to improve the charging efficiency. And when the current charging power is increased, the power corresponding to the previous power interval can be increased. Or calculating the current charging impedance according to the actual loss, and estimating the charging power which is properly boosted according to the impedance.
In summary, in the embodiment of the present application, there are various ways to determine the charging power again, and the determination is not limited to any one. In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
and if the power interval corresponding to the actual loss is not the power interval corresponding to the charging power before re-determination, outputting prompt information of the wireless charging receiving terminal and/or the wireless charging transmitting terminal before re-determination of the current charging power. The S142 may include: and after the prompt information is output for a preset time, if the power interval corresponding to the actual loss is still not the power interval corresponding to the charging power before re-determination, adjusting the current charging power.
The actual loss may be due to the attitude of the charging device not being correct during charging. In order to ensure the charging rate, in the embodiment of the present application, a prompt message may be output before the current charging power is re-determined. For example, prompt information in a text and/or image format is displayed on a display screen of the wireless charging receiving end. After seeing the prompt message, the user can adjust at least one of the wireless charging sending end and the wireless charging receiving end, and therefore charging efficiency is improved.
For example, the charging efficiency can be improved by the distance between the wireless charging transmitting terminal and the wireless charging receiving terminal or the relative orientation between the wireless charging transmitting terminal and the wireless charging receiving terminal.
Of course, in other embodiments, the prompt message may be a voice message or a light signal. Therefore, after the user sees the prompt message, the position and/or posture of at least one of the wireless charging sending end and the wireless charging receiving end can be manually adjusted, so that the charging efficiency is improved while the charging rate is ensured.
For example, WPC-based wireless charging techniques require that the receive and transmit coils be aligned for best efficiency. When the receiving coil and the transmitting coil are deviated, wireless charging efficiency may be reduced. In general, wireless charging can be performed with the degree of freedom of wireless charging within 15mm of the X direction or the Y direction, and the efficiency is drastically reduced with the displacement of the coil, for example, the efficiency is reduced by about 10% when the coil is displaced by 10 mm. The receiving coil is located in the wireless charging receiving end. The transmitting coil is located in the wireless charging transmitting end. The transmitting coil is used for transmitting a charging signal for wireless charging, and the receiving coil is used for receiving the charging signal for wireless charging in a wireless mode.
In 30W wireless charging, if the efficiency when the coil centers are aligned is 86%, the transmitting power of a transmitting end is 35W; when the offset is 10mm, in order to maintain the wireless charging of the receiving end 30W, the transmitting power of the transmitting end is 40W (for example, the efficiency is reduced to 76%), there will be a loss of up to 10W, so that the charging is heated rapidly. So, through the output of prompt message, if the relative position between wireless transmitting terminal and the wireless receiving terminal that charges in time obtains the adjustment, can reduce the phenomenon of generating heat sharply that the actual loss is too big to lead to on the one hand, on the other hand promotes charge efficiency.
The preset time period may be a preset time period such as 5 minutes or 3 minutes. The preset time length is the time length which can not cause the damage of the wireless charging transmitting terminal and the wireless charging receiving terminal even if the actual loss is overlarge.
In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
before the wireless charging is carried out, interacting verification information whether the first type of charging protocol charging is supported with the wireless charging sending terminal;
when the verification information passes verification, determining to perform wireless charging according to a first type of charging protocol;
and when the first type of charging protocol is adopted for wireless charging, wireless charging protection is carried out according to the first protection mechanism.
Before carrying out wireless charging, wireless charging receiving terminal need with wireless charging transmit terminal between mutual charging information, this charging information includes: wireless charging protocols supported by both parties. The charging parameters corresponding to different wireless charging protocols are different. The charging parameters include: charging current, charging voltage and/or charging power, etc.
In this embodiment, the charging information may further include: the aforementioned authentication information. The authentication information herein includes, but is not limited to, authentication information whether a specific charging protocol is supported. For example, the authentication information may be authentication information whether the first type of charging protocol is supported.
The first type of charging protocol may be various high power charging protocols, for example, a proprietary charging protocol supporting 30W, or an EPP protocol supporting 15W. The EPP protocol is a standard charging protocol and is different from the proprietary charging protocol.
Different charging protocols may correspond to different authentication information.
After the verification information of the first type of charging protocol passes, the wireless charging receiving terminal and the wireless charging transmitting terminal can be considered to support the first type of charging protocol. If the first type charging protocol is supported, in order to ensure a sufficiently high charging rate, the first type charging protocol is used for charging.
In the embodiment of the application, the type information can be used as verification information according to the device types of the wireless charging sending end and the wireless charging receiving end, and whether the wireless charging sending end and the wireless charging receiving end both support the first type of charging protocol or not is determined.
For example, when the device type of the wireless charging transmitting end is:
when the types of the general DCP charger, the Quick Charge (QC) 2.0 charger, the QC3.0 charger, the QC4.0 charger, the PD charger, etc., the wireless charging transmitting end can be considered to support the first type of charging protocol. DCP is an abbreviation for Downstream Charge Port.
If the first type of charging protocol is used for wireless charging, the first protection mechanism in the embodiment of the application is used for protecting the wireless charging.
Of course, in other embodiments, a second type of charging protocol other than the first type of charging protocol may also use the first protection mechanism for charging protection.
In some embodiments, when the first protection mechanism is used for wireless charging protection, the transmission power of the wireless charging transmitting terminal is periodically acquired, so that the current wireless charging power is periodically determined.
In other embodiments, when the first protection mechanism is used for wireless charging protection, the transmitting power of the wireless charging transmitting terminal can be obtained in real time, so that the current wireless charging power is determined in real time, and the real-time protection of wireless charging is realized.
In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
when the verification information is not verified, performing wireless charging between the wireless charging sending end and the wireless charging receiving end according to a second type of charging protocol;
and when the second type of charging protocol is adopted for wireless charging, wireless charging protection is carried out according to a second protection mechanism different from the first protection mechanism.
The second type of charging protocol includes, but is not limited to, Basic Power Profile (BPP) charging. The charging parameters corresponding to the BPP protocol include: a charging power of less than or equal to 5W.
For example, the first type of charging protocol includes: proprietary charging protocol or Extended Power Profile (EPP) protocol.
The first type of charging protocol and the second type of charging protocol may be dynamically partitioned, for example, in some cases, the EPP protocol may also be considered as the second type of charging protocol.
The second protection mechanism may be any one of:
a maximum power protection mechanism or an Over Current Protection (OCP) mechanism. When the transmission power of the transmitting end exceeds the maximum power limit or the current (input current, coil current, etc.) of the transmitting end is greater than a certain threshold, the transmitting end stops wireless charging.
Protection mechanism based on coil temperature: the sending end detects the temperature of the sending coil, and when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold value, wireless charging is stopped or wireless charging power is reduced.
Protection mechanism based on charging efficiency: the sending end calculates the efficiency according to the current sending power and the current receiving power, and when the charging efficiency is lower than a certain threshold value, the wireless charging is stopped or the wireless charging power is reduced.
As shown in fig. 3, this embodiment provides a wireless charging method applied to a wireless charging transmitting end, where the method includes:
s21: sending the charging information of the wireless charging sending terminal to a wireless charging receiving terminal; the charging information includes: transmitting power or calculating a charging signal value of the transmitting power, wherein the charging signal value is used for determining actual loss by combining the wireless charging receiving end with the received power;
s22: and the wireless charging receiving end determines charging power again based on the power interval corresponding to the actual loss.
The wireless charging method provided in the embodiment of the application is applied to a wireless charging sending end. The wireless charging transmitting terminal includes, but is not limited to, a wireless charger.
The charging information includes: the transmitting power or the charging signal value of the wireless charging transmitting terminal. The charging signal value can be used for the wireless power supply receiving end to calculate the transmitting power. For example, the charging signal values include: the voltage value and the current value of the charge.
In the embodiment of the application, the wireless charging receiving terminal calculates the actual loss according to the charging information of the wireless charging terminal. Then, by adopting the method shown in fig. 1, when the actual loss of the wireless charging does not correspond to the power interval where the current charging power is located, the current charging power is negotiated with the wireless charging transmitting terminal to be determined again, and on one hand, when the actual loss is too large, the current charging power is reduced, so that the overcurrent phenomenon or the coil overheating phenomenon is reduced; on the other hand, when the actual loss is too large, the charging efficiency can be improved by reducing the current charging power, and unnecessary energy consumption is reduced.
For example, the charging information is transmitted to the wireless charging receiving terminal by in-band communication, or the charging information is transmitted to the wireless charging receiving terminal by out-of-band communication.
In some embodiments, the charge signal values include: the input current value and the input voltage value of an inverter in the wireless charging sending terminal;
the method further comprises the following steps:
and acquiring the input current value and the input voltage value.
The current input to the inverter is a direct current, and the input current value and the input voltage value input to the inverter can be detected by a sampling resistor or the like.
After the input current value and the input voltage value are obtained, the transmitting power can be obtained by calculating the multiplier of the input current value and the input voltage value.
In some embodiments, the transmit power may be calculated by the wireless charging transmitting end, and in other embodiments, the transmit power may be calculated by the wireless charging receiving end.
In some embodiments, the method further comprises:
before the wireless charging is carried out, verification information is interacted with the wireless charging receiving end, and the verification information is used for verifying whether the wireless charging receiving end and the wireless charging sending end both support the first type of charging protocol.
If the first type of charging protocol is supported, the wireless charging sending end sends the charging information to the wireless charging receiving end periodically or in real time.

and a third determining module 43, configured to determine the charging power of the wireless charging according to the power interval corresponding to the actual loss.

Two examples are provided below in connection with any of the embodiments described above:
example 1:
the present example provides a protection mechanism and a method for a wireless charging receiving end, where the receiving end actively reduces load power according to efficiency loss, that is, a transmitting end transmits its own transmit power to the receiving end through Frequency-shift keying (FSK) information or out-of-band communication technology at intervals. The receiving terminal calculates the power loss according to the receiving power at the last moment, and when the power loss is higher than a certain threshold value, the load power of the receiving terminal is actively reduced, so that the wireless charging is safer, and the heating during charging is avoided. The FSK information is obtained FSK information using FSK modulation of transmission power or charging information.
Example 2:
the present example provides a protection mechanism and a method for a wireless charging receiving end, and the method is applicable to a high-power wireless charging transmitting end and a high-power wireless charging receiving end of a private protocol.
The specific method comprises the following steps:
the wireless transmitting end is connected with the charger, and the transmitting end completes detection of the type of the charger. The charger types are common DCP chargers, QC2.0 chargers, QC3.0 chargers, QC4.0 chargers, Power Digital (PD) chargers and the like. The wireless receiving end is placed on the wireless transmitting end, the receiving end and the wireless transmitting end firstly use the in-band communication protocol of Qi specification for interaction, and the wireless transmitting end supports the BPP (5W) protocol and the EPP (15W) protocol of the Qi specification.
And the receiving end and the sending end carry out rapid wireless charging authentication, namely the receiving end carries out authorization verification on the sending end.
If the verification is passed, the transmitting end and the receiving end adopt a private protocol to carry out wireless charging, and the charging power can reach 30W.
Through the in-band proprietary protocol and command (or out-of-band protocol and command), the receiving end can obtain the voltage and current information of the sending equipment in real time, and the transmitting power P of the sending end is calculatedTx_in
PTx_in=VTx*ITxWherein V isTxThe input voltage value of an inverter in a wireless charging sending terminal is sent; i isTxAnd transmitting the input current value of the inverter in the terminal for wireless charging.
The receiving end calculates the current received power pRx_out
pRx_out=VRx*IRxWherein V isRxCharging the voltage value of a receiving end for wireless charging; i isTxAnd the current value in the receiving end is charged wirelessly.
According to the power required by the receiving end, for example, different power intervals such as 5W-10W, 10W-15W, 15W-20W, 20W-25W, 25W-30W and the like, different target power loss P is set for each power intervalloss_leve_iSuch as Ploss_leve_1Representing the target loss for the 5-10W power interval.
The formula for actually calculating the power loss is: ploss=PTx_in-PRx_outWherein P islossIs a real loss.
Under the condition of the current coil positions of the receiving end and the transmitting end, the receiving end calculates P in real timelossValue if Ploss<Ploss_leve_iIf yes, maintaining normal wireless charging;
if the current P isloss>Ploss_leve_iThen, the receiving end may give a UI prompt: the coil positions are not aligned, and manual alignment is needed; if the receiver is within a time T1 and the coil positions are not aligned or within a certain offset range, the receiver actively performs power down. I.e. the current maximum charging power P allowed by the receiving endRx_out=PTx_in-PlossThe receiving end will reset the charging power.
In the whole wireless charging process, the receiving end carries out real-time power loss calculation, and the receiving end actively adjusts the power output of the receiving end, so that the power loss is below the target loss in different charging power level intervals.
If the verification fails, charging by adopting a BPP or EPP protocol of Qi specification, wherein the sending end supports the EPP and the BPP protocol, and if the receiving end supports the EPP protocol, performing EPP negotiation power charging (15W); if the receiving end only supports the BPP protocol, charging based on BPP power (5W) is carried out. Through the intelligent charging control method of the receiving end, the wireless charging is ensured to be safer, and the heating during charging is avoided.

The method is suitable for a high-power wireless charging transmitting terminal and a high-power wireless charging receiving terminal of a private protocol, and is also suitable for a wireless charging transmitting terminal and a wireless charging receiving terminal of common standard Qi BPP and EPP protocols, so that the wireless transmitting terminal is ensured to be safer, and charging heating is avoided.
Example 4:
the present example provides a protection mechanism and method for a wireless charging transmitter, and the method is applicable to a high-power wireless charging transmitter and receiver of a private protocol, and also applicable to a wireless charging transmitter and receiver of common standard Qi BPP and EPP protocols.
The specific method comprises the following steps:
the wireless transmitting end is connected with the charger, and the transmitting end completes detection of the type of the charger. The charger types are common DCP charger, QC2.0 charger, QC3.0 charger, QC4.0 charger, PD charger and the like.
Through the in-band proprietary protocol and the command, the sending end can obtain the voltage and current information of the receiving end in real time and calculate the transmitting power p of the receiving endRX_out
pRx_out=VRx*IRx
The sending end calculates the current transmitting power PTx_in
pTx_in=VTx*ITx
According to the power required by the receiving end, for example, different power intervals such as 5W-10W, 10W-15W, 15W-20W, 20W-25W, 25W-30W and the like, different power loss targets P are set for each power intervalloss_leve_iSuch as Ploss_leve_1Representing the target loss for the 5-10W power interval.
The formula for actually calculating the power loss is: ploss=PTx_in-PRx_out
Under the condition of the current coil positions of the receiving end and the transmitting end, the transmitting end calculates P in real timelossValue if Ploss<Ploss_leve_iIf yes, maintaining normal wireless charging; if the current P isloss>Ploss_leve_iThen, the sending end notifies the receiving end through the in-band private protocol, for example, gives a UI prompt: the coil positions are not aligned, and manual alignment is needed; if the coil position is not aligned or within a certain offset range within a period of time T1, the transmitting end informs the receiving end to reduce power through the in-band proprietary protocol. I.e. informing the receiving end of the current maximum charging power P allowedRx_out=PTx_in-PlossAnd when the receiving end receives the power reduction information, the charging power is reset. In the whole wireless charging process, the transmitting end and the receiving end perform real-time power loss calculation to adjust the power output of the receiving end, and the power loss is ensured to be below the target loss in different charging power level intervals.
If the verification fails, charging by adopting a BPP or EPP protocol of Qi specification, wherein the sending end supports the EPP and the BPP protocol, and if the receiving end supports the EPP protocol, performing EPP negotiation power charging (15W); if the receiving end only supports the BPP protocol, BPP (< ═ 5W) power charging is carried out.
If the EPP receiving end is used, the transmitting end respectively sets the allowed maximum transmitting end power P according to two intervals of 5W-10W and 10W-15WTx_max_10WAnd PTx_max_15W
If the power interval of the current receiving end is within, for example, the receiving end and the sending device negotiate a power load of 10W; the transmitting end monitors the transmitting power P of the transmitting end in real timeTxWhen P isTx<PTx_max_10WAnd when the current wireless charging power is not available, the current wireless charging power is maintained. When P is presentTx>=PTx_max_10WThen, the current power of the transmitting end is maintained to be PTx_max_10WThe receiving end continues to send and Control Error Packets (CEPs). The CEP is power adjustment information sent by the receiving end to the sending end, a positive value represents an increasing power, and a negative value represents a decreasing power. The transmitting end will not respond to the CEP request of the receiving end, i.e., maintain the current transmitting end power.
If the received signal is BPP receiving end, the transmitting end sets allowable maximum transmitting end power PTx_max_5W. Transmitting end real-time monitoring transmitting power PTxWhen P isTx<PTx_max_5WAnd when the current wireless charging power is not available, the current wireless charging power is maintained. When P is presentTx>=PTx_max_5WThen, the current power of the transmitting end is maintained to be PTx_max_5WWhen the receiving end continues to transmit and CEP, the transmitting end will not respond to the CEP request of the receiving end, i.e. maintain the current transmitting end power. By the intelligent charging control method of the transmitting end, the wireless transmitting end is ensured to be safer, and charging and heating are avoided.
