Background
The popularization of the display terminal greatly facilitates the life, entertainment and study of people, more and more things can be completed through the display terminal (a mobile phone, a tablet and the like), and as the screen of the display terminal becomes larger and larger, the demand of people on multi-task display is increased day by day. For example, it is desirable to display a video window in the upper half of the screen and a chat application window in the lower half of the screen. However, in the traditional split screen mode, more diversified use requirements of people cannot be met.

The first embodiment of the technical scheme provides a split screen control method; the split screen control method is operated on a display terminal comprising a display screen; in one embodiment, a first operation area is displayed on the display screen, and the first operation area comprises at least one function key for applying a control instruction to content or a program interface displayed on the display screen; in one embodiment, the first operating region includes, but is not limited to, a first main function icon (main function icon), a first return icon, and a first multitasking icon; preferably, the first operation area is displayed at the lowest middle position of the display screen. In one embodiment, the second operation area is displayed below the display screen.
In another embodiment, the first operation area is a virtual function key, and the second operation area and the first operation area are both located at the lowest part of the display screen and are displayed in a row according to a preset sequence; when the split screen mode is entered, the first operation area and the second operation area can be displayed side by side after the size of the first operation area is reduced.
Referring to fig. 3, when the display device receives a split screen command, the display screen 10 of the display device is divided into two sub-display areas. In this embodiment, the upper sub-display area is a first sub-display area 101, and the lower sub-display area is a second sub-display area 102. Application interfaces are respectively displayed in the two sub-display areas, for example, an application interface of a first application program is displayed in the first sub-display area 101, and an application interface of a second application program is displayed in the second sub-display area 102, wherein the first application program may be a calculator, and the second application program may be a browser. In an embodiment, the screen-splitting control method may further include the steps of: responding to the operation received by the second operation icon of the first operation area, judging whether an application program running in the background of the display terminal exists currently, and if so, controlling a first sub-display area to display a thumbnail interface of the application program running in the background; wherein the second operation icon of the first operation region may be a first multitasking icon.

When the control unit displays the thumbnail interface of the first application program in the second sub-display area, the control unit may also display the thumbnail interface of the second application program in the second sub-display area at the same time, for example, display the thumbnail interfaces of all application programs running in the background.

Specifically, when the second application program is controlled to run in the background in response to the operation received by the first operation icon of the second operation area, the second sub-display area may display the system desktop.
It can be understood that when the second application program is controlled to run in the background, the display of the first sub-display area remains unchanged, that is, the application interface of the first application program is still displayed; and controlling the display of the second sub display area to be unchanged when the first sub display area displays the abbreviated interface and the application interface of the second application program, namely, the system desktop is still displayed.
When the first sub-display area displays the thumbnail interface of the second application program, the control may also display the thumbnail interface of the first application program on the first sub-display area at the same time, for example, display the thumbnail interfaces of all application programs running in the background.
It should be noted that the split screen control method according to the embodiment of the present application is not limited to the steps and the sequence described in the examples. The steps may be added, removed, or changed in order, according to various needs.
The split-screen control method in the embodiment of the technical scheme has the following advantages: a second operation area is additionally arranged, and the first operation area and the second operation area can control the two sub-display areas separately; the user can directly switch the application of the appointed sub-display area without quitting the split screen mode; and when the previous operation of the user is in a certain sub-display area, the switching of the application in another sub-display area can be directly controlled through the operation of the function key corresponding to another sub-display area, so that the user has better use experience.
A second embodiment of the present technical solution further provides a display terminal, as shown in fig. 4, the display terminal 100 includes a display screen 10, a memory 20, a processor 30, and a computer program 40 stored in the memory 20 and capable of being executed on the processor 30, and when the processor 30 executes the computer program 40, the steps of the split screen control method described in the foregoing embodiments are implemented.
The display terminal 100 may be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a sales terminal, a vehicle-mounted computer, a wearable device, or other display terminals.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the processes of the methods of the embodiments described herein may be implemented by a computer program, which can be stored in a computer-readable storage medium and can implement the steps of the embodiments of the methods described above when the computer program is executed by a processor.   1. A split screen control method is operated on a display terminal comprising a display screen, wherein a first operation area is arranged on the display terminal, and the split screen control method comprises the following steps:
    responding to a received screen splitting instruction to enter a screen splitting mode, and dividing a display area of the display screen into a first sub-display area and a second sub-display area; and
    and newly adding a second operation area and displaying the second operation area on the display screen, wherein the first operation area is used for applying a control instruction to the display content of the first sub-display area in response to the operation of a user, and the second operation area is used for applying a control instruction to the display content of the second sub-display area in response to the operation of the user.
  2. The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein the positions of the first operation area and the second operation area correspond to the positions of the first sub-display area and the second sub-display area, respectively.
  3. The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein the first operation area and the second operation area are respectively located at two opposite sides of the second sub-display area.
  4. The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein the first operating area and the second operating area are both located on the same side of the second sub-display area.
  5. The screen division control method of claim 1, wherein the first operation region is reduced in size and then displayed side by side with the second operation region when entering the screen division mode.
  6. The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein the first sub-display area and the second sub-display area both display an application interface or a system interface.
  7. The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein in response to an operation received by a first operation icon of the first operation region, controlling a system interface to be displayed in the first sub-display region.

The screen-splitting control method of claim 7, wherein when the first operation icon in the first operation area receives an operation, if an application interface of an application program is displayed in the first sub-display area, the application program is controlled to run in a background of the display terminal, and a system interface is displayed in the first sub-display area.

The screen-splitting control method of claim 1, wherein in response to an operation received by the second operation icon in the first operation area, it is determined whether an application program running in the background of the display terminal currently exists, and if so, the thumbnail interface of the application program running in the background is controlled to be displayed in the first sub-display area.
