6. The stapler assembly of claim 3 or 4, wherein the upper surface of the proximal end of the staple holder is provided with a stop feature for preventing further distal sliding movement of the tightening member.

The stapler assembly of claim 6, wherein the distal end of the staple holder moves relative to the distal end of the staple cartridge base to a closed position as the tightening member slides from the initial position to the first proximal anvil position until the stop feature is encountered to prevent further sliding movement of the tightening member; when the tightening member slides from the first position of the near end of the nail abutting seat to the initial position, the far end of the nail abutting seat and the far end of the nail box base move relatively to reach an opening state.
8. The stapler assembly of claim 6, wherein the stop member is stepped.

12. A stapler comprising a stapler assembly according to any one of claims 1-11.
