The embodiment of the application provides a control method of a millimeter wave antenna module. The method can be applied to the electronic device provided in the foregoing embodiment, and referring to the flowchart shown in fig. 4, the method includes the following step S1100.
Step S1100, controlling M millimeter wave antenna modules in the N millimeter wave antenna modules to be in the detection mode, and controlling T millimeter wave antenna modules in the N millimeter wave antenna modules to be in the communication mode or the sleep mode; n, M, T are positive integers, N is greater than or equal to 2, and the sum of M and T is equal to N.
In this embodiment, M may be 1, or may be a positive integer greater than 1.
Illustratively, each millimeter wave antenna module in the N millimeter wave antenna modules is sequentially switched to a detection mode, and other millimeter wave antenna modules in the N millimeter wave antenna modules are switched to a communication mode or a sleep mode. That is to say, at a certain moment, one millimeter wave antenna module of the N millimeter wave antenna modules is controlled to be in a detection mode, and other millimeter wave antenna modules of the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules are controlled to be in a communication mode or a sleep mode; and at the next moment which is separated from the moment by a certain time interval, controlling another millimeter wave antenna module in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules to be in a detection mode, and controlling other millimeter wave antenna modules in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules to be in a communication mode or a sleep mode. Like this to the polling mode, switch over each millimeter wave antenna module in a plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules into the detection mode in proper order, when realizing that the detection object is close to electronic equipment, can reduce electronic equipment's consumption.
Illustratively, a part of the N millimeter wave antenna modules are sequentially switched to a detection mode, and the rest of the N millimeter wave antenna modules are switched to a communication mode or a sleep mode. That is to say, at a certain moment, a part of the millimeter wave antenna modules in the N millimeter wave antenna modules are controlled to be in the detection mode, and the rest of the millimeter wave antenna modules in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules are controlled to be in the communication mode or the sleep mode; and at the next moment which is separated from the moment by a certain time interval, controlling another part of the millimeter wave antenna modules in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules to be in a detection mode, and controlling the rest millimeter wave antenna modules in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules to be in a communication mode or a sleep mode. Like this, control some millimeter wave antenna module at every turn and be the detection mode, when realizing that the detection object is close to electronic equipment, can reduce electronic equipment's consumption.
In this embodiment, under the condition that does not need SAR sensor, utilize millimeter wave antenna module can realize surveying whether the object is close to electronic equipment to, adopt the mode of polling, control a plurality of millimeter wave antenna module and carry out the timesharing and survey, can reduce electronic equipment's consumption.
In this embodiment, the millimeter wave antenna module has a plurality of operating modes. In a communication mode, the millimeter wave antenna module works at a preset first transmitting power and a preset first transmitting frequency so as to realize communication with the base station. In the detection mode, the millimeter wave antenna module works at a preset second transmitting power and a preset second transmitting frequency. And the second transmission power is smaller than the first transmission power so as to detect whether the object is close to the electronic equipment. In the detection mode, whether a human body is close to the electronic equipment is detected through the millimeter wave antenna module, so that when the human body is close to the electronic equipment, the transmitting power of the millimeter wave antenna module and the transmitting power of other non-millimeter wave antennas in the electronic equipment are adjusted, and the damage of electromagnetic radiation to the human body is reduced. In addition, in the detection mode, the transmitting power of the millimeter wave antenna module is adjusted, so that the power consumption of the electronic equipment can be further reduced.
In this embodiment, the electronic device may communicate with the base station through the millimeter wave antenna module. The electronic device may also communicate with the base station through a non-millimeter wave antenna module, where the non-millimeter wave antenna module may be, for example, a 2G, 3G, 4G, or other conventional antenna. That is, in the case where the electronic device communicates with the base station through the millimeter wave antenna module for communicating with the base station and detecting whether an object is close to the electronic device, the millimeter wave antenna module may be switched between the communication mode and the detection mode. Under the condition that the electronic equipment is not communicated with the base station through the millimeter wave antenna module, the millimeter wave antenna module is only used for detecting whether an object is close to the electronic equipment, and the millimeter wave antenna module can be switched between a detection mode and a sleep mode.
Taking communication between an electronic device and a base station through a millimeter wave antenna module as an example, the method for controlling the millimeter wave antenna module provided by the embodiment of the present application is introduced.
Referring to fig. 1, the electronic device includes four millimeter wave antenna modules. At time T1, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, the millimeter wave antenna module 2c, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the communication mode; at time T2, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2b is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2c, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the communication mode; at time T3, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2c is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the communication mode; at time T4, the operation mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2d is switched to the detection mode, and the operation modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2c are switched to the communication mode.
In this embodiment, under the condition that electronic equipment passes through millimeter wave antenna module and base station communication, adopt the mode of polling, switch over each millimeter wave antenna module in a plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules into in proper order and survey the mode, when realizing communicating with the base station, can also survey whether the object is close to electronic equipment to control part millimeter wave antenna module and survey, extra increased power consumption when further can reducing the detection object.
Taking an example that the electronic device does not communicate with the base station through the millimeter wave antenna module, the method for controlling the millimeter wave antenna module provided by the embodiment of the present application is introduced.
With continued reference to fig. 1, the electronic device includes four millimeter wave antenna modules. At time T1, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, the millimeter wave antenna module 2c, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the sleep mode; at time T2, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2b is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2c, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the sleep mode; at time T3, the operating mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2c is switched to the detection mode, and the operating modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2d are switched to the sleep mode; at time T4, the operation mode of the millimeter wave antenna module 2d is switched to the detection mode, and the operation modes of the millimeter wave antenna module 2a, the millimeter wave antenna module 2b, and the millimeter wave antenna module 2c are switched to the sleep mode.
In this embodiment, when the electronic device does not communicate with the base station through the millimeter wave antenna module, each millimeter wave antenna module in the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules is sequentially switched to the detection mode in a polling manner, and other millimeter wave antenna modules are switched to the sleep mode, so that whether an object is close to the electronic device is detected, and meanwhile, the power consumption of the electronic device can be further reduced.
In some embodiments of the present application, the operation mode of the millimeter wave antenna module further includes a tracking mode for detecting whether an object is far away from the electronic device every preset time. The control method of the millimeter wave antenna module further comprises the following steps: and controlling a first antenna module to be switched from the detection mode to the tracking mode, wherein the first antenna module is a millimeter wave antenna module of which the signal intensity of the received echo signal is greater than or equal to a first threshold value.
It can be understood that, in the detection mode, the millimeter wave antenna module is controlled to transmit millimeter wave signals and receive echo signals, when the signal strength of the echo signals received by the millimeter wave antenna module is greater than or equal to a first threshold value, it is considered that an object is detected to be close to the electronic device, at this time, the millimeter wave antenna is determined to be the first antenna module, the first antenna module is controlled to be switched from the detection mode to the tracking mode, so that whether the object is far away from the electronic device can be detected, and when the object is detected to be far away from the electronic device, the first antenna module is switched from the tracking mode to the detection mode.
In the tracking mode, the millimeter wave antenna module works with a preset third transmitting power and a preset third transmitting frequency, wherein the third transmitting power is smaller than the second transmitting power. Specifically, the millimeter wave antenna module is controlled to transmit millimeter wave signals at preset intervals and receive echo signals, and when the signal intensity of the echo signals received by the millimeter wave antenna module is smaller than a first threshold value, it is considered that an object is detected to be far away from the electronic equipment. Therefore, in the tracking mode, the millimeter wave antenna module is controlled to work at the third transmitting frequency, and millimeter wave signals are transmitted outwards at preset intervals, so that the power consumption of the electronic equipment can be further reduced. In addition, in the tracking mode, the millimeter wave antenna module is controlled to work at the third transmitting power, so that the damage of electromagnetic radiation to a human body can be further reduced.
It should be noted that there may be one or more first antenna modules.
In some embodiments of the present application, after controlling the first antenna module to switch from the probing mode to the tracking mode, the method for controlling the millimeter wave antenna module further includes: and controlling the first antenna module to be switched from the tracking mode to the probing mode when the signal strength of the echo signal received by the first antenna module is smaller than a first threshold value.
That is to say, when the signal strength of the echo signal received by the first antenna module is smaller than the first threshold, it indicates that the first antenna module detects that the object is away from the electronic device, and at this time, the first antenna module is controlled to be switched from the tracking mode to the detection mode, that is, the step S1100 is returned to, and the multiple millimeter wave antenna modules are controlled to perform time-sharing detection.
In some embodiments of the present embodiment, in the case that the first antenna module is in the tracking mode, whether an object is close to the electronic device may be detected by other millimeter wave antenna modules. In this embodiment, the method for controlling the millimeter wave antenna module further includes: and under the condition that the first antenna module is in the tracking mode, controlling a part of the plurality of second antenna modules to be in the detection mode, and controlling the rest antenna modules to be in the communication mode or the sleep mode.
The second antenna module is a millimeter wave antenna module with the received echo signal strength smaller than the first threshold value. That is, the second antenna module is a millimeter wave antenna module except the first antenna module among the plurality of millimeter wave antenna modules.
In one example, controlling a part of the plurality of second antenna modules to be in the probing mode and controlling the rest of the plurality of second antenna modules to be in the communication mode or the sleep mode may be controlling one of the plurality of second antenna modules to be in the probing mode and controlling the other of the plurality of second antenna modules to be in the communication mode or the sleep mode.
More specifically, the electronic apparatus shown in fig. 1 is taken as an example. When the first millimeter wave antenna module 2a detects that an object approaches, at this time, the first millimeter wave antenna module 2a is controlled to be switched from the detection mode to the tracking mode, and the second millimeter wave antenna module 2b, the third millimeter wave antenna module 2c and the fourth millimeter wave antenna module 2d are in the detection mode at different times.
