Detailed Description
The door seal of the existing washing machine is made of vulcanized rubber EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) as a main raw material, wherein vulcanization refers to that after a certain temperature, pressure and time, rubber macromolecules and substances such as sulfur and the like are subjected to chemical reaction and are crosslinked to form a high polymer elastomer with a three-dimensional network structure, and vulcanized rubber is a thermosetting polymer, wherein molecular chains cannot move after the action of crosslinking bonds among the molecular chains, so that the vulcanized rubber cannot be dissolved in a related solvent, cannot be melted after being heated, and is difficult to recycle after being used.
Meanwhile, in the production process of vulcanized rubber, the adopted raw materials comprise raw rubber, a vulcanizing system compounding agent, a reinforcing filler, a softening plasticizer, an anti-aging agent, a special compounding agent and the like, the raw materials are complex, and pungent toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur monoxide, sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide and the like released by vulcanized rubber can be remained in the closed inner cylinder for a long time and are harmful to human bodies. At present, the odor removal of door seal materials is mainly to reduce or cover the odor by adding bacteriostatic agents or aromatic agents or spraying the surface of the door seal, but the odor removal cannot be completely eradicated.
In addition, in the aspect of a molding process, the existing door seal taking vulcanized rubber EPDM as a main raw material is prepared by a compression molding process, and the production process flow comprises the following steps: preparing raw materials, cutting rubber by a rubber cutter, weighing ingredients, banburying, open milling, filtering rubber, cooling to obtain sheets, injecting rubber, vulcanizing, trimming, inspecting and packaging. The production process flow has the following defects:
(1) the product has a long forming period (330-350 s), the process is complex, multiple sets of molds are required to be produced simultaneously in order to meet the capacity requirement, and the production supply requirement is difficult to guarantee in the busy production season;
(2) the equipment required in the whole production process is as follows: the raw rubber cutting machine, the internal mixer, the open mill and the rubber injection machine are expensive;
(3) the whole production process needs 5-6 people for matching, the period is long, and the energy consumption is high.
Thermoplastic elastomers, referred to as TPE or TPR for short, are abbreviations of Thermoplastic rubbers, are elastomers having elasticity of rubber at normal temperature and moldable at high temperature, have physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and process processability of thermoplastics, are a novel polymer material between rubber and resin, and are often referred to as third-generation rubber, and have the following characteristics:
(1) the rubber can be processed and molded by standard thermoplastic processing equipment and technology, and the product production can be finished by using general plastic processing equipment without hot vulcanization, so that the production flow of the rubber industry is shortened by 1/4, the energy consumption can be saved by 25-40%, and the efficiency is improved by 10-20 times;
(2) the leftover materials can be recycled, so that resources are saved, and the environment is protected;
(3) the material has no peculiar smell, and the required color can be obtained by adding color master batches or dyeing raw materials.
In the application, a polystyrene-polyethylene/butylene-polystyrene block copolymer (SEBS) is adopted as one of TPEs, mainly composed of PP, SBS, fillers and additives, and is obtained by injection molding. SEBS is used as a novel multipurpose thermoplastic elastomer and has excellent ageing resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and low temperature resistance. At normal temperature, the Polystyrene (PS) segment of the SEBS and the middle ethylene/butylene (EB) elastic segment are thermodynamically incompatible, so that two phases can be separated and are in a micro-phase separation state, and the PS segment of the SEBS forms a phase region, is dispersed in a rubber phase formed by the EB segment and forms a physical crosslinking network with the EB segment. The SEBS has high elasticity of rubber, shows the fluidity of resin at high temperature and has good processing performance.
Furthermore, in the application, polypropylene (PP) is added into SEBS, and the added PP has good compatibility with the SEBS, so that the strength and the heat resistance of the material can be improved; the added filling oil can play a role in plasticizing and softening the composite material, and the SEBS/PP added filling oil can increase the molecular distance and weaken the acting force among molecular chains, so that the flexibility and the fluidity of the material are increased; the added filler can improve the hardness and rigidity of the material, reduce the size shrinkage of a workpiece, improve the heat resistance and chemical resistance of the material, improve the flame retardant effect of the material to a certain extent, and reduce the material cost; the added surface modifier can improve the compatibility between SEBS/PP and the filler; the added heat stabilizer can improve the stability of the material; the added antibacterial mildew preventive can prevent the material from mildewing in a humid environment.
