Description

IPTV video playing method and system
Technical Field
The application relates to an IPTV video technology, in particular to an IPTV video playing method and system based on a page superposition scene.
Background
IPTV, i.e., interactive internet protocol television, is a technology that integrates various technologies such as internet, multimedia, and communication, and provides various interactive services including digital television to home users, and has now come into the home. After the IPTV set top box is opened, a television program guide EPG appears on a television screen, and the programs are sorted according to various rules, so that a user can conveniently and quickly find and select channels and programs which the user wants to watch.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of an IPTV platform and an IPTV terminal of the prior art. The IPTV platform of the server side comprises a media distribution module and a service navigation module, the IPTV terminal of the client side comprises a player and a browser, a user sees the EPG through the browser and performs selection operation, and the player receives and plays the video stream from the media distribution module.
Currently, many IPTV EPGs have adopted the presentation form of a desktop background video stream overlay interactive operation interface. When the desktop is loaded, the browser calls the player, and the player continuously acquires the video stream from the IPTV media distribution module and decodes and plays the video stream. When a user opens the overlapping window to perform selection operation, the player does not stop continuous interaction with the server to acquire the video stream of the currently played program, and does not stop normal downloading and playing of the video of the current program, namely, the mode that the player acquires the video stream of the program is not influenced by the operation behavior of the user. At this time, the current program video has become a background video, the background video is used as a semitransparent layer, and the operation interface is superimposed on the front end of the background video layer. Although the content of the background video cannot be clearly identified by the user under the expression form of the desktop background video superposition interactive operation interface, the continuous normal downloading and playing of the current program video stream still occupies the bandwidth and CDN capacity, so that a certain resource waste is caused, and the influence on smaller network and platform resources is particularly obvious.
In order to solve the problem of waste of bandwidth resources and CDN service capacity on the premise of ensuring user experience, a method and a system for switching and playing IPTV video based on strategies are provided on the basis of different scenes of whether desktop video is overlapped or not are needed.

the overlay layer listener 221 in the play processing unit 220 of the IPTV terminal continuously listens to the state change of the client window, and once the overlay menu window is presented on the IPTV terminal interface, the play processing unit 220 notifies the play control unit 210 of the IPTV platform of the status (presentation) of the overlay window in the event or interface notification manner;
the play control unit 210 invokes a configurable policy in the policy management module 211, constructs an instruction using the instruction constructing/issuing module 212 thereof, and sends the constructed instruction including the play control policy to the play processing unit 220 of the IPTV terminal, where the play control instruction may include a media type (picture, advertisement video, current on-demand/live program video, etc.) of playing the background media stream, a background media stream resource acquisition address, a play policy (such as a play duration, a play start time, etc.), a background media stream recording policy (such as a record identifier, a duration of recording content, etc.), a local play policy (such as a cyclic play/play number, etc.);
the instruction parser 222 in the play processing unit 220 parses the received instruction, and starts the clock synchronizer 223 thereof, and records the switching time of the current program video stream;
the play processing unit 220 obtains the background media stream resources from the media distribution module of the IPTV platform, calls the player to play the background media stream based on the result of the instruction parsing, starts the recorder 224 to record a section of background media stream with a certain duration (i.e. stores the background media stream with a certain duration in the local recording memory 2242 under the control of the recording controller 2241), detects the play status/recording result, finishes downloading and recording the background media stream according to the policy, and starts playing the section of background media stream recorded in the recording memory 2242 according to the policy. Specifically, when the background media stream is downloaded and recorded at the same time, and online playing of the background media stream is finished according to a policy requirement, an online playing finishing message (such as an IGMP Leave or RTSP teardow instruction) is sent to an IPTV platform at a server end, and the background media stream which has been recorded in the recording memory 2242 is called to be played locally, wherein playing can be cyclic playing, playing times can be set, and the like, and is determined by the policy; and
the overlay layer listener 221 in the play processing unit 220 of the IPTV terminal continues to monitor the state change of the client window, once the overlay menu window is closed on the IPTV terminal interface, the play processing unit 220 notifies the play control unit 210 of the IPTV platform of the state (closing) of the overlay window, the play control unit 210 invokes the configurable policy in the policy management module 211 thereof, constructs an instruction using the instruction construction/issuing module 212 thereof, and sends the constructed instruction containing the play control policy to the play processing unit 220 of the IPTV terminal, the play processing unit 220 parses the instruction and invokes the player to connect with the service end IPTV platform according to the policy to perform online continuous play of the current program video, and supports the synchronization of the play time and the switching time or the current time when resuming the play.
According to the IPTV video playing method based on the page overlapping scene, in the multi-page overlapping scene, the background media stream specially used as the background for a certain period of time is circularly played on the background layer behind the overlapping window layer, and the continuous playing of the current program video stream on the background layer is continued instead of the traditional method.
The background media stream can be pictures or videos, can be advertisements or other media contents, can also be the current program video itself, and is determined by the specific content according to the strategy configuration, and the playing time of the background media stream are also determined by the strategy.
The application repeatedly plays the background media stream for 30 seconds during the operation of the superimposed menu by downloading the background media stream for a certain time period and carrying out the local recording and then circularly playing, for example, the background media stream for 30 seconds is recorded locally, no matter how long (possibly up to a plurality of minutes or more) the user operates the superimposed menu, the consumed bandwidth resource is the background media stream for 30 seconds, and no more. In contrast, conventional continuous downloading and playing of the current program video stream continues during user operation of the overlay menu, so that bandwidth resources are expended in terms of the continuously downloaded program video stream (which may be as long as several minutes or more) during user operation of the overlay menu.
According to the method of the application, when the current program media stream is restored to play after the superposition menu window is closed, the time for supporting play is synchronous with the switching time point. The user experience is not affected.
