Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention. In addition, the technical features involved in the embodiments of the present invention described below may be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other.
The invention provides an embodiment of a method for configuring a home gateway wireless service, which is characterized in that after a network access device with a wireless function is replaced, a first device with a wired connection function and a wireless connection function automatically configures an SSID (service set identifier) and a password before replacement for the network access device with the replaced configuration. The embodiment comprises the following steps:
when the first device is started for the first time, the MAC address of the network access device is obtained and recorded through the network access device with the wireless function connected through a wire. When the MAC address is recorded, the first device serves as a wireless connection client to prompt a user to connect the SSID of the network access device, and after the wireless connection is successful, the SSID and the password of the network access device are recorded.
When the network access equipment is replaced, the first equipment is switched to a wireless connection server, and the recorded SSID and password of the network access equipment are provided for other equipment in the home local area network and are in wireless connection with other equipment.
And setting the SSID and the password (namely the SSID and the password of the original network access equipment) recorded by the first equipment on the replaced network access equipment, enabling the first equipment to quit the wireless connection server, and updating the MAC address of the network access equipment. Further, the first device may switch to a wirelessly connected client, or may close the wireless connection. The SSID and password of the network access device are set through wired connection.
In this embodiment, the first device has a wired connection function and a wireless connection function, and the wired connection function performs network connection through DHCP; the wireless connection function has two modes of a client and a server, the two modes can be switched with each other, and the first device has a browser function.
In some embodiments, the first device may be a set-top box, a television, a computer, or a sound box with the above-described functionality.
In some embodiments, the network Access device may be a router, a gateway, a wireless AP (Access Point), or a CPE (Customer Premise Equipment).
Specifically, the first device starts up a default DHCP connection for the first time, extracts an ACK message in the interactive message in the process of acquiring the IP address from the network access device, and acquires and records the MAC address of the network access device.
After the first device records the MAC address of the network access device, the DHCP connection mode may be maintained, or the connection mode used by the network requirement may be automatically recovered. In another embodiment, the first device requires the network to connect to the internet using a PPPOE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet, Ethernet-based) connection method, and then the first device records the MAC address of the network access device and automatically recovers to the PPPOE connection method.
Further, when the first device records the MAC address of the network access device for the first time, the wireless connection function is set to the client mode, and prompts the user to connect to the SSID of the gateway and allows the user to confirm the connection. And after the first equipment receives the SSID and the password of the network access equipment input by the user, the first equipment successfully connects wirelessly and records the SSID and the password.
Further, the first device may automatically sense a replacement of the uplink network access device. Specifically, after the first device is started for the first time, when the first device is started every time, or when a user starts a function of detecting whether the network access device changes, the first device is connected to the network access device in a DHCP mode, and the MAC address of the network access device is detected in the process of acquiring the IP address. If the MAC address changes, the network access equipment connected with the network is changed, and then the network access equipment is automatically sensed to be changed through the wired connection function.
When the network access equipment is detected to be replaced, the first equipment switches the wireless connection mode into a server mode, and provides the recorded SSID and password (the SSID and the password of the original network access equipment) for other equipment in the home local area network to connect. When detecting that other equipment is connected, the first equipment detects the number of the other equipment connected and the MAC addresses of the other equipment, and if the number of the other equipment connected is not 0, the wireless connection of the other equipment is indicated. And then judging whether the first equipment is connected in a wired mode or not, if the first equipment is connected in a wired mode and other equipment is connected in a wireless mode, the SSID and the password of the replaced network access equipment can be changed.
It is understood that the first device detects the MAC address connected by the other device, and may determine whether the MAC address is an originally connected other device in the home lan. Different MAC addresses may correspond to home PCs, PADs, cell phones, etc. The number of the detections is not 0, because other devices may be in a power-off/wireless connection-off state at this time, so that not all other devices are wirelessly connected, but as long as other devices are wirelessly connected, the SSID and the password are proved to be required by other devices, and it is ensured that the SSID and the password of the replaced network access device can be changed.
Further, the first detection device may further memorize the connection number of the original other devices and the corresponding MAC addresses, and by the above detection, it may be obtained whether all the original other devices are wirelessly connected.
In an embodiment, if there is a private communication protocol or command between the first device and the network access device with wireless function, the first device directly notifies the replaced network access device through wired connection, and replaces the network access device with the SSID and password of the original network access device.
In other embodiments, if the first device and the network access device have a management platform, the first device sends a command of replacing the SSID and the password to the management platform, and notifies the replaced network access device of the original network access device through the management platform.
In another embodiment, the network access device supports browser login, and the first device pops up a dialog box to prompt the user to input an administrator account and a password of the network access device. The first device starts a browser, automatically inputs an administrator account and a password filled by a user, and logs in the network access device. And the first equipment further prompts a user to enter a setting interface, an SSID is automatically filled, the first equipment prompts the user to reset the SSID and the password of the original network access equipment, prompts the user to click for confirmation, and finally the network access equipment is restarted.
