Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of cleaning heads intended to clean surfaces, and more particularly to a vacuum cleaner equipped with a suction head that allows suction of dust and small particle size waste present on the surface to be cleaned, and allows wet cleaning of the surface to be cleaned.
Background
Suction cleaners equipped with a suction head are well known in the market, which allow cleaning surfaces by suction to remove dust and small particle size waste deposited on these surfaces. The surface to be cleaned may be, for example, a tile floor, laminate, mat or carpet.
In order to clean smooth floors, and in particular in order to remove stains present on smooth floors, it is known, in particular from document CN110101336a, to equip the cleaning head with a wet cleaning device.
The wet cleaning device includes:
-a mop support on which a mop is mounted;
-a cleaning liquid reservoir located above the mop support and configured to supply cleaning liquid to a mop mounted on the mop support, the cleaning liquid reservoir comprising a liquid outlet provided in a lower portion of the cleaning liquid reservoir;
-a closing member extending along an extension axis and being translatably mounted with respect to the cleaning liquid reservoir between a closing position, in which the closing member closes the liquid outlet, and a release position, in which the closing member releases the liquid outlet;
an actuation member configured to be actuated by a user, the actuation member being pivotally mounted between a first actuation position and a second actuation position, the actuation member and the closure member being configured such that movement of the actuation member from the first actuation position to the second actuation position causes movement of the closure member from the release position to the closure position, and such that movement of the actuation member from the second actuation position to the first actuation position causes movement of the closure member from the closure position to the release position.
The wet cleaning device also includes a biasing member configured to move the closure member toward the release position and thus the actuation member toward the first actuation position.
This configuration of the wet cleaning device cannot ensure easy operation of the actuating member between the first and second actuating positions and cannot ensure stable holding of the closure member at the release and closure positions, respectively. Therefore, the configuration of the wet cleaning apparatus as described above cannot guarantee the optimum operation of the wet cleaning apparatus.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention aims to overcome all or part of these disadvantages.
The technical problem underlying the present invention is, inter alia, to provide a cleaning head provided with a wet cleaning device of reliable and economical construction, while at the same time ensuring easy operation of the actuating members of the wet cleaning device.
To this end, the invention relates to a cleaning head comprising a wet cleaning device comprising:
-a mop support on which a mop is mounted;
-a cleaning liquid reservoir located above the mop support and configured to supply cleaning liquid to a mop mounted on the mop support, the cleaning liquid reservoir comprising a liquid outlet provided in a lower portion of the cleaning liquid reservoir;
-a closing member movably mounted with respect to the cleaning liquid reservoir between a closing position, in which the closing member closes the liquid outlet, and a release position, in which the closing member releases the liquid outlet;
-an actuation member, such as an actuation pedal, configured to be actuated by a user, such as with a user's foot, the actuation member being movably mounted between a first actuation position and a second actuation position, the actuation member and the closure member being configured such that movement of the actuation member from the first actuation position to the second actuation position causes movement of the closure member from the release position to the closure position, and such that movement of the actuation member from the second actuation position to the first actuation position causes movement of the closure member from the closure position to the release position.
The actuating member comprises an actuating portion, such as an actuating finger, configured to cooperate with the closing member and comprising a first indexing surface, a second indexing surface and a connecting surface, the second indexing surface being further away from the liquid outlet than the first indexing surface, the connecting surface being inclined and the connecting surface being arranged between the first and second indexing surfaces, the actuating portion being configured to abut the first indexing surface when the actuating member occupies the first actuating position and to advantageously retain the closing member in the release position and to abut the second indexing surface when the actuating member occupies the second actuating position and to advantageously retain the closing member in the closing position, the actuating portion being configured to slide on the connecting surface and to move the closing member from the release position towards the closing position when the actuating member moves from the first actuating position towards the second actuating position.
The presence of the connecting surface allows easy, efficient and reliable movement of the closure member from the release position towards the closure position when the actuation member is moved from the first actuation position towards the second actuation position. In addition, the presence of the first and second indexing surfaces allows to stably hold the closure member in the release position and the closure position, respectively. These arrangements thus ensure reliable and optimal operation of the wet cleaning device, while at the same time ensuring easy operation of the actuating member.

This configuration of the upper annular sealing joint allows for a significant reduction in the force exerted by the upper annular sealing joint on the cleaning liquid reservoir when the closure member is moved between the release position and the closure position, and thus allows for convenient operation of the actuation member by a user. In addition, this configuration of the upper annular sealing joint eliminates the need for an oversized biasing member to bias the closure member toward the release position and thus reduces the manufacturing cost of the wet cleaning device.

Detailed Description
Figures 1 to 13 show a cleaning head 2 and more particularly a suction head comprising a connection sleeve 3, to which connection sleeve 3 is connected the tip of a rigid or flexible tube which itself is connected to the suction system of a vacuum cleaner (not shown). Various variants of vacuum cleaners are already available on the market and can be used with the cleaning head 2 according to the invention; these variants are known to the person skilled in the art and are not described in detail in the present patent application.
The cleaning head 2 comprises a main body 4, which main body 4 is configured to move over a surface to be cleaned. The main body 4 comprises an upper housing 5, with respect to which upper housing 5 the connecting sleeve 3 is advantageously pivotally mounted to allow the main body 4 to pivot forwards and backwards when the cleaner head 2 is moved in the direction of movement D1.
The body 4 further comprises a bottom plate 6, for example made of plastic, which bottom plate 6 is fixed to the upper casing 5. Each of the rear fixing elements 18 is configured to be at least partially received in a respective rear fixing receptacle 22 provided on the base plate 6 and open into the base plate lower surface 7, and is configured to cooperate with a respective rear retaining element 23 provided on the base plate 6 and protruding into the respective rear fixing receptacle 20, for example by snap fastening.
The wet cleaning device 11 further comprises a cleaning liquid reservoir 24, which cleaning liquid reservoir 24 is located above the mop support 12, and which cleaning liquid reservoir 24 is configured to supply cleaning liquid to a mop mounted on the mop support 12. According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 is formed by the mop support 12 and a reservoir housing secured to the mop support 12. However, according to other embodiment variations of the present invention, the mop support 12 and cleaning liquid reservoir 24 may be made in a single piece or the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 may be formed from a reservoir body that is separate from the mop support 12.
The cleaning liquid reservoir 24 includes a liquid storage chamber 25 and a liquid filling hole 26 leading to an upper portion of the liquid storage chamber 25. The liquid-filled aperture 26 may be provided, for example, on an upper surface of the cleaning liquid reservoir 24. Such liquid-filled holes 26 allow the liquid storage chamber 25 to be easily filled with a cleaning liquid such as water.
The cleaning liquid reservoir 24 advantageously comprises a closing element 27, which closing element 27 is configured to close the liquid-filled aperture 26 in a removable manner.
The cleaning liquid reservoir 24 further comprises a liquid outlet 28, which liquid outlet 28 is arranged in the lower part of the cleaning liquid reservoir 24, and which liquid outlet 28 is fluidly connected to the liquid storage chamber 25.
The cleaning liquid reservoir 24 further comprises an air inlet aperture 29, which air inlet aperture 29 is configured to fluidly connect the liquid storage chamber 25 with the external environment of the cleaning head 2. Advantageously, the air inlet aperture 29 is configured to permanently fluidly connect the liquid reservoir 25 to the environment external to the cleaner head 2. The air inlet opening 29 may be provided, for example, on the closure element 27.
The presence of the air inlet aperture 29 allows ensuring that air enters the liquid storage chamber 25 as cleaning liquid flows through the liquid outlet 28 and towards a mop mounted on the mop support 12 and thus as the level of cleaning liquid in the liquid storage chamber 25 decreases.
To avoid a continuous flow of cleaning liquid to the mop support 12, the wet cleaning device 11 comprises a closing member 31, which closing member 31 extends along the extension axis a, and which closing member 31 is translatably movable between a closing position (see fig. 10) in which the closing member 31 closes the liquid outlet 28 in order to fluidly isolate the liquid storage chamber 25 from one or more liquid flow holes 14 provided on the mop support 12, and a releasing position (see fig. 9) in which the closing member 31 releases the liquid outlet 28 in order to fluidly connect the liquid storage chamber 25 to one or more liquid flow holes 14 provided on the mop support 12 and thereby ensure a supply of cleaning liquid to a mop mounted on the mop support 12.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the liquid outlet 28 is provided on the mop support 12 and opens onto the upper surface of the mop support 12, and the liquid outlet 28 is located opposite the end lower surface of the closure member 3 l.
As shown more particularly in fig. 9 and 10, the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 comprises a mounting portion 32, which mounting portion 32 delimits a mounting receptacle 33, and the closing member 31 is mounted in the mounting receptacle 33 in a translatably movable manner along a translation direction D4, which translation direction D4 is parallel to the extension axis a of the closing member 31, and which translation direction D4 is advantageously substantially vertical under normal use conditions of the cleaning head 2.
The mounting portion 32 comprises a lower mounting portion 32.1 and an upper mounting portion 32.2, the lower mounting portion 32.1 being tubular and the lower portion 31.1 of the closure member 31 being slidably mounted in the lower mounting portion 32.2, the upper mounting portion 32.2 being generally tubular and the upper portion 31.2 of the closure member 31 being slidably movable in the upper mounting portion 32.2. Advantageously, the upper mounting portion 32.2 has a cross section that is larger than the cross section of the lower mounting portion 32.1.
The mounting portion 32 further comprises an annular shoulder 32.3, which annular shoulder 32.3 is arranged between the lower mounting portion 32.1 and the upper mounting portion 32.2.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the mounting portion 32 comprises a lower edge 34 and one or more connecting holes 35, the lower edge 34 resting against the upper surface 17 of the mop support 12 and the lower edge 34 surrounding the liquid outlet 28, the one or more connecting holes 35 fluidly connecting the liquid storage chamber 25 with the content cavity of the mounting portion 32. The one or more connection holes 35 are specifically configured to fluidly connect the liquid storage chamber 25 and the liquid outlet 28 when the closure member 31 occupies the release position. Advantageously, one or more connection holes 35 open into the lower edge 34 of the mounting portion 32.
The wet cleaning device 11 further comprises a lower annular sealing joint 36, which lower annular sealing joint 36 is mounted on the lower part 31.1 of the closure member 31, and which lower annular sealing joint 36 is configured to prevent the flow of cleaning liquid through the liquid outlet 28, and more particularly to fluidly isolate the one or more connection holes 35 from the liquid outlet 28, when the closure member 31 occupies the closed position. According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the lower annular sealing joint 36 is annular and is mounted in an annular groove provided on the outer surface of the closure member 31.
The lower annular sealing joint 36 is more specifically configured to achieve a seal between the outer surface of the closure member 31 and the inner surface provided on the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 by radial contact.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the lower annular sealing joint 36 is configured to radially cooperate with the inner surface of the lower mounting portion 32.1 when the closure member 31 occupies the release position, and to radially cooperate with the liquid outlet 28 when the closure member 31 occupies the closure position.
The wet cleaning device 11 further comprises an upper annular sealing joint 37, which upper annular sealing joint 37 is mounted on the upper part 31.2 of the closure member 31, and which upper annular sealing joint 37 is axially offset along the extension axis a of the closure member 31 with respect to the lower annular sealing joint 36.
The upper annular sealing joint 37 is configured to effect a seal by axial contact between a first annular surface 38 provided on the closure member 31 and a second annular surface 39 provided on the mounting portion 32 and delimited by the annular shoulder 32.3 when the closure member 31 occupies the closed position. According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the upper annular sealing joint 37 is fixed against the first annular surface 38 and is configured to abut against the second annular surface 39 when the closure member 31 occupies the closed position.
As shown in fig. 9 and 10, the first and second annular surfaces 38, 39 face each other and extend coaxially with respect to the axis of extension a of the closure member 31. Advantageously, the first and second annular surfaces 38, 39 are flat and extend perpendicular to the axis of extension a of the closure member 31.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the upper annular sealing joint 37 comprises an annular sealing lip 40. Advantageously, the annular sealing lip 40 is oriented parallel to the extension axis a of the closure member 31. The annular sealing lip 40 may, for example, have a generally triangular cross-section.
The wet cleaning device 11 further comprises an actuation member 41, such as an actuation pedal, which actuation member 41 is configured to be actuated by a user, such as with the user's foot. An actuating member 41 is movably mounted on an upper portion of the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 between a first actuating position and a second actuating position. The actuating member 41 and the closure member 31 are configured such that movement of the actuating member 41 from the first actuating position to the second actuating position causes movement of the closure member 31 from the release position to the closure position, and such that movement of the actuating member 41 from the second actuating position to the first actuating position causes movement of the closure member 31 from the closure position to the release position.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the actuating member 41 is pivotally mounted with respect to the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 about a pivot axis B, which is advantageously perpendicular to the extension axis a of the closure member 31 and thus perpendicular to the translation direction D4 of the closure member 31. The pivot axis B extends, for example, transversely with respect to the direction of movement D1 of the cleaning head 2.
The actuating member 41 advantageously comprises an actuating portion 42, for example an actuating finger, said actuating portion 42 being configured to cooperate with the closing member 31 and advantageously with an end upper portion 43 of the closing member 31.
The end upper portion 43 of the closure member 31 more specifically comprises a first indexing surface 44, a second indexing surface 45 and a connecting surface 46, the second indexing surface 45 being axially offset relative to the first indexing surface 44 along the extension axis a of the closure member 31, and the second indexing surface 45 being further from the liquid outlet 28 than the first indexing surface 44, the connecting surface 46 being inclined, and the connecting surface 46 being arranged between the first and second indexing surfaces 44, 45. Advantageously, the first and second indexing surfaces 44, 45 are flat and extend parallel to each other and perpendicular to the translation direction D4 of the closure member 31.
The actuating portion 42 of the actuating member 41 is configured to abut the first indexing surface 44 and hold the closure member 31 in the release position when the actuating member 41 occupies the first actuated position, and is configured to abut the second indexing surface 45 and hold the closure member 31 in the closure position when the actuating member 41 occupies the second actuated position. In addition, the actuating portion 42 of the actuating member 41 is configured to slide on the cam surface 46 and move the closure member 31 from the release position toward the closure position when the actuating member 41 is moved from the first actuating position toward the second actuating position.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the end upper portion 43 of the closure member 31 further comprises an axial projection 47, which axial projection 47 is arranged between the connection surface 46 and the second indexing surface 45 and projects with respect to the second indexing surface 45. The axial projection 47 is configured to lock the actuating member 41 in the second actuating position. Advantageously, the upper annular sealing joint 37 has an elastic deformation amplitude in the translation direction D4 equal to or greater than the height of the axial projection 47 measured from the second indexing surface 45. Advantageously, the top of the axial projection 47 is further from the liquid outlet 28 than the second indexing surface 45 in the translation direction D4.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the wet cleaning device 11 further comprises a biasing member (not visible in the figures), such as a compression spring, configured to bias the closing member 31 towards the release position.
According to an embodiment variant of the invention, the wet cleaning device 11 may further comprise a biasing element (not visible in the figures) configured to bias the actuation member 41 towards a first actuation position, which corresponds to the release position of the liquid outlet 28. However, the biasing force exerted by the biasing element on the actuating member 41 is adapted such that the axial projection 47 may lock the actuating member 41 in the second actuated position.
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the cleaning liquid reservoir 24 comprises two reservoir-side portions 24.1, 24.2 and a connecting portion 24.3, which connecting portion 24.3 is arranged between the two reservoir-side portions 24.1, 24.2, and which connecting portion 24.3 fluidly connects the two reservoir-side portions 24.1, 24.2. Advantageously, the front and rear fixing elements 15, 18 are arranged on both sides of the connecting portion 24.3 and near the front edge of the connecting portion 24.3 and near the rear edge of the connecting portion 24.3, respectively.
The two reservoir-side portions 24.1, 24.2 and the connecting portion 24.3 advantageously define a receiving space 48, which receiving space 48 is configured to receive a central portion of the main body 4 when the wet cleaning device 11 is secured to the main body 4.
According to an embodiment variant, not shown in the figures, the cleaning head 2 may be devoid of suction means and thus be configured to be equipped with wet cleaning means.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the described and illustrated embodiments which are given by way of example only. Modifications can be made without departing from the scope of protection of the invention, in particular from the point of view of the construction of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents.

Claims (17)

1. A cleaning head (2) comprising a wet cleaning device (11), the wet cleaning device (11) comprising:
-a mop support (12), on which mop support (12) a mop is mounted;
-a cleaning liquid reservoir (24), the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) being located above the mop support (12), and the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) being configured to supply cleaning liquid to a mop mounted on the mop support (12), the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) comprising a liquid outlet (28), the liquid outlet (28) being provided in a lower portion of the cleaning liquid reservoir (24);
-a closing member (31), the closing member (31) being mounted translatably movable relative to the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) between a closing position, in which the closing member (31) closes the liquid outlet (28), and a release position, in which the closing member (31) releases the liquid outlet (28);
an actuation member (41), the actuation member (41) being configured to be actuated by a user, the actuation member (41) being movably mounted between a first actuation position and a second actuation position, the actuation member (41) and the closure member (31) being configured such that movement of the actuation member (41) from the first actuation position to the second actuation position causes movement of the closure member (31) from the release position to the closure position, and such that movement of the actuation member (41) from the second actuation position to the first actuation position causes movement of the closure member (31) from the closure position to the release position,
characterized in that the actuating member (41) comprises an actuating portion (42), the actuating portion (42) being configured to cooperate with the closing member (31) and the closing member (31) comprising a first indexing surface (44), a second indexing surface (45) and a connecting surface (46), the second indexing surface (45) being further away from the liquid outlet (28) than the first indexing surface (44), the connecting surface (46) being inclined and the connecting surface (46) being arranged between the first and second indexing surfaces (44, 45), the actuating portion (42) being configured to abut the first indexing surface (44) when the actuating member (41) occupies the first actuating position and to abut the second indexing surface (45) when the actuating member (41) occupies the second actuating position, the actuating portion (42) being configured to slide over the connecting surface (46) and to release the closing member (31) from the first actuating position towards the second actuating position.
2. The cleaning head (2) according to claim 1, wherein the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) comprises a mounting portion (32), the closing member (31) being translatably mounted in the mounting portion (32) in a translation direction (D4).
3. The cleaning head (2) according to claim 2, wherein the second indexing surface (45) is further away from the liquid outlet (28) than the first indexing surface (44) in the translation direction (D4).
4. A cleaning head (2) according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the closing member (31) extends along an extension axis (a), the extension axis (a) being substantially parallel to the translation direction (D4).
5. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the actuating member (41) is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis (B) relative to the cleaning liquid reservoir (24).
6. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the connection surface (46) is a cam surface.
7. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the actuation member (41) is mounted on the cleaning liquid reservoir (24).
8. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the closure member (31) comprises an axial protrusion (47), the axial protrusion (47) being arranged between the connection surface (46) and the second indexing surface (45) and protruding relative to the second indexing surface (45), the axial protrusion (47) being configured to lock the actuation member (41) in the second actuation position.
9. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the first and second indexing surfaces (44, 45) are substantially planar and substantially parallel relative to each other.
10. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the closure member (31) comprises an end upper portion (43), the end upper portion (43) of the closure member (31) comprising the first indexing surface (44), the second indexing surface (45) and the connecting surface (46).
11. A cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the wet cleaning device (11) comprises:
-a lower annular sealing joint (36), the lower annular sealing joint (36) being configured to prevent a flow of cleaning liquid through the liquid outlet (28) when the closure member (31) occupies the closed position; and
-an upper annular sealing joint (37), the upper annular sealing joint (37) being configured to achieve a seal by axial contact between a first annular surface (38) provided on the closure member (31) and a second annular surface (39) provided on the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) when the closure member (31) occupies the closed position.
12. The cleaning head (2) according to claim 11, wherein the upper annular sealing joint (37) comprises an annular sealing lip (40).
13. A cleaning head (2) according to claim 11, wherein the upper annular sealing joint (37) is mounted on the closure member (31) and is configured to abut the second annular surface (39) when the closure member (31) occupies the closed position.
14. The cleaning head (2) according to claim 11, wherein the lower annular sealing joint (36) is configured to achieve a seal between an outer surface of the closure member (31) and an inner surface provided on the cleaning liquid reservoir (24) by radial contact.
15. The cleaning head (2) according to claim 11, wherein the lower annular sealing joint (36) is annular.
16. A cleaning head (2) according to claim 2, wherein the closing member (31) comprises an axial protrusion (47), the axial protrusion (47) being arranged between the connection surface (46) and the second indexing surface (45) and protruding with respect to the second indexing surface (45), the axial protrusion (47) being configured to lock the actuating member (41) in the second actuated position, the wet cleaning device (11) comprising an upper annular sealing joint (37), the upper annular sealing joint (37) being configured to effect a seal by axially contacting between a first annular surface (38) arranged on the closing member (31) and a second annular surface (39) arranged on the cleaning liquid reservoir (24), the upper annular sealing joint (37) having an elastic deformation amplitude in the translational direction (D4) equal to or greater than the height of the axial protrusion (47) measured from the second indexing surface (45) when the closing member (31) occupies the closed position.
17. A household vacuum cleaner comprising a cleaning head (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 16.
