Abstract
The invention discloses a special strip aluminum pigment for PC and a preparation method thereof, wherein the method comprises the following steps: selecting an aluminum pigment, placing the aluminum pigment in a container, adding a solvent for dispersion, then adding a passivating agent for passivation, and performing post-treatment after passivation to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake; mixing the obtained passivated aluminum filter cake with carrier resin and a dispersing agent, stirring and pre-dispersing, and then drying and extruding to form a finished product, wherein the carrier resin is ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin. According to the invention, aluminum powder is subjected to passivation treatment, so that a layer of aluminum oxide film is formed on the surfaces of flaky aluminum particles, the temperature resistance of the flaky aluminum particles is improved, meanwhile, low-viscosity EMA is selected as a carrier, the EMA is a toughening resin, the compatibility with PC is good, the influence on physical properties of the PC is reduced, the use effect of the flaky aluminum particles in the PC is improved, the white brightness and metallic feeling of a finished product are greatly improved, and the appearance of the finished product is free of defects such as silver wires; the improvement of the above points greatly improves the appearance effect and mechanical property of the product.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of aluminum pigment production, in particular to a special strip-shaped aluminum pigment for a PC and a preparation method thereof.
Background
In recent years, the appearance of the metal-free spraying effect is favored by consumers, more and more household appliance appearances and automotive interiors are made of metal-free spraying materials, the metal-free spraying material has strong appearance texture, is more environment-friendly, avoids a spraying process, reduces a plurality of working procedures such as transportation, transfer and the like, reduces the processing cost, and can be a very potential product. Most of the spraying-free products in the current market are made of ABS, PP, PC, ABS and the like, and have low processing temperature and good material fluidity, so that the appearance effect of the prepared product is good.
The strip-shaped aluminum pigment can be applied to a PC (Polycarbonate) material without spraying, but when the common strip-shaped aluminum pigment is applied to the PC, the PE wax carrier of the common strip-shaped aluminum pigment has poor temperature resistance and compatibility in the PC; meanwhile, the flaky aluminum particles are easy to oxidize at high temperature, so that the surface metal of the product is poor in feel and dark in color; in addition, processing aids such as erucic acid and stearic acid in the ball milling process of aluminum pigments accelerate degradation of PC at high temperature, and have a great influence on physical properties of PC, resulting in significant reduction of impact properties. Therefore, many factors cause the defects of silver wires, water bloom, serious mechanical property reduction and the like in the prior application of the strip-shaped aluminum pigment in the PC, so that the method is not satisfactory to customers.
Therefore, we designed a series of experiments aiming at the problems, and improved the original process and formulation, and successfully developed the high-texture metallic pigment special for PC materials.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a special strip-shaped aluminum pigment for PC and a preparation method thereof, which solve the defects of the prior common strip-shaped aluminum pigment when the prior common strip-shaped aluminum pigment is applied to PC materials.

The further improvement is that in the first step, the aluminum pigment is selected from aluminum pigments with the aluminum content of 60% -70%, the thickness of flaky aluminum particles of 0.2-0.5 mu m and the particle diameter D50 of the flaky aluminum particles of 10-15 mu m.
In the first step, the solvent is selected from esters or alcohols, and the dispersing speed is 15-25rpm.
In the first step, when 1 part of aluminum pigment is selected, 1.5-3 parts of solvent and 0.1-0.2 part of passivating agent are added.
In the first step, one or two of phosphate passivating agent and molybdate passivating agent are selected as the passivating agent, the passivating time is 2-4h, and the passivating process is accompanied by stirring.
A further improvement is that in step one, the post-processing includes: firstly, desolventizing to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake with 65-70% of solid content, then adding the passivated aluminum filter cake into 3-4 times of ester or alcohol solvents for cleaning once, removing redundant passivating agents, and secondly, desolventizing to obtain the passivated aluminum filter cake with 65-75% of solid content after cleaning.
In the second step, ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin with melting point lower than 110 ℃ and MA content of 10-30% and molecular weight lower than 100000 is selected, and the dispersing agent is selected from quaternary tetraol stearate or magnesium stearate.
In the second step, the mixing weight ratio of the passivated aluminum filter cake to the carrier resin and the dispersing agent is that the passivated aluminum filter cake to the carrier resin and the dispersing agent=70-75:15-25:1-5.

step one: selecting an aluminum pigment with the aluminum content of 60%, the thickness of flaky aluminum particles of 0.2 mu m and the particle diameter D50 of the flaky aluminum particles of 10 mu m, placing 1 part of the aluminum pigment into a dispersion cylinder, adding 1.5 parts of an ester solvent, opening the dispersion machine, adjusting the rotating speed to 15rpm, dispersing, adding 0.1 part of a phosphate passivating agent, stirring for 2 hours, removing the solvent for the first time to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake with 65% of solid content, adding the passivated aluminum filter cake into the ester solvent with 3 times of the weight of the passivated aluminum filter cake, cleaning for one time, removing the redundant passivating agent, and removing the solvent for the second time to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake with 65% of solid content after cleaning;

The preparation method of the special PC strip-shaped aluminum pigment has the steps basically same as those of the example 2, and the only difference is that: the dispersant was changed from magnesium stearate to an equivalent amount of quaternary tetraol stearate.
The PC color plate sample plate obtained in comparative example 1 was selected, and its Lab value, flexural modulus (MPa), tensile strength (MPa) and IZOD impact strength (KJ/m) were measured in the same manner, and the measurement results were shown in the following Table:
from the table, after the dispersant is changed into the quaternary tetraol stearate, the overall appearance effect is not obviously changed, but the mechanical properties are further improved, and especially the tensile strength and IZOD impact strength of the product are respectively improved by 24.2% and 44.1%, and the improvement is obvious. Thus, it was demonstrated that the use of the quaternary tetraol stearate as a dispersant in combination with the ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin provides a remarkable effect.

Claims (2)
1. A preparation method of a special PC strip-shaped aluminum pigment is characterized by comprising the following steps: the steps include
Step one: selecting an aluminum pigment, placing the aluminum pigment in a container, adding a solvent for dispersion, then adding a passivating agent for passivation, and performing post-treatment after passivation to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake;
the aluminum pigment is selected from aluminum pigments with the aluminum content of 60% -70%, the thickness of flaky aluminum particles of 0.2-0.5 mu m and the particle size D50 of flaky aluminum particles of 10-15 mu m, the solvent is selected from ester or alcohol solvents, the dispersing rotating speed is 15-25rpm, when 1 part of aluminum pigment is selected, 1.5-3 parts of solvent is added, and 0.1-0.2 part of passivating agent is added; the passivating agent is one or two of phosphate passivating agent and molybdate passivating agent, the passivating time is 2-4h, and the passivating process is accompanied by stirring; the post-processing includes: firstly, desolventizing to obtain a passivated aluminum filter cake with 65-70% of solid content, then adding the passivated aluminum filter cake into 3-4 times of ester or alcohol solvents by weight for cleaning once, removing redundant passivating agents, and secondly desolventizing to obtain a cleaned passivated aluminum filter cake with 65-75% of solid content;
step two: mixing the passivated aluminum filter cake obtained in the first step with carrier resin and a dispersing agent, stirring and pre-dispersing, and then drying and extruding to form to obtain a finished product, wherein the carrier resin is ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin with a melting point lower than 110 ℃ and MA content of 10-30% and molecular weight lower than 100000, and the dispersing agent is quaternary tetraol stearate;
the mixing weight ratio of the passivated aluminum filter cake to the carrier resin and the dispersant is that the passivated aluminum filter cake is the carrier resin and the dispersant is=70-75:15-25:1-5; stirring and pre-dispersing, and then drying and extrusion molding: mixing the raw materials in proportion, putting the raw materials into a stirrer, stirring at 15-20rpm for 10-20min, and pre-dispersing; then the pre-dispersed materials are put into a drying oven for drying at the drying temperature of 130-150 ℃ for 10-12h; and then the dried material is put into an extruder for extrusion molding, the extrusion temperature is 130-150 ℃, and the rotation speed of a host machine is 400-500rpm, so that a finished product is obtained.
