The invention provides a modified cardanol type epoxy resin curing agent and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the field of low-temperature curing agents, wherein the epoxy resin curing agent comprises a cardanol aldehyde amine curing agent, a fatty amine modified curing agent and an accelerator; wherein the cardanol aldehyde amine curing agent comprises cardanol, formaldehyde and fatty amine A; the aliphatic amine modified curing agent comprises aliphatic amine B, an epoxy modifier and benzyl alcohol. The invention can quickly cure the epoxy resin in a low-temperature environment, can improve the strength and the rigidity, and is suitable for the fields of bonding reinforcement of concrete, ceramics and the like, waterproof repair reinforcement engineering of buildings and the like.

46-51 parts of fatty amine B;
39-45 parts of an epoxy modifier;
6-10 parts of benzyl alcohol;
