Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and effects of the present invention clearer and clearer, the present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
Today of science and technology helping hand life, people and mobile terminal equipment are surrounded by mobile terminal equipment such as cell-phones, flat boards for a long time in the life like the shadow is with the shape, and mobile terminal equipment has slowly permeated each corner of people's life. As the number of frequency bands, functions and modes required for the operation of mobile terminal devices is increasing, the RF front-end design of modern mobile terminal devices is also becoming increasingly complex, and antenna efficiency plays a crucial role in the overall RF performance of the mobile terminal device. However, current mobile terminal device industry design trends and RF requirements (especially the imminent transition to 5G) mean that smartphones have to fit more antennas into smaller spaces and/or increase the bandwidth of existing antennas, i.e. mobile terminal devices need to employ more antennas, using Carrier Aggregation (CA), 4x4 MIMO, Wi-Fi MIMO and new wideband 5G bands to provide higher data rates, hence the number of antennas in smartphones is increasing from 4-6 to 8 or more. At the same time, the space available for the mobile terminal device system antenna is reduced, resulting in reduced antenna efficiency. In order to satisfy the multiband bandwidth of 4G 5G, the antenna design needs to use an antenna tuning device (tuner) to expand the antenna bandwidth and satisfy the antenna performance, and in short, the antenna tuner (tuner) is more important in the mobile terminal device than ever before. The tuner belongs to an active device, in the prior art, the tuner is in a power supply working state in each state and scene of the mobile terminal, and is also in a band-point working state in some scenes with low performance requirements and scenes with very good signal quality, so that the electric energy of the mobile terminal equipment is wasted, the standby time of the mobile terminal equipment is shortened, and the user experience is influenced.
In order to solve the problems in the prior art, the embodiment provides a method for reducing the power consumption of a tuner, and by the method of the embodiment, in some scenes with low performance requirements and scenes with very good signal quality, a mobile terminal system performs power-off processing on the tuner, thereby reducing unnecessary power consumption of the mobile terminal, prolonging the standby time of equipment, and improving the user experience. In specific implementation, an EN Enable pin (Enable pin) is designed for a tuner of a mobile terminal device, a high-low level command is input to the tuner through the EN Enable pin, and power supply or power off of the tuner is controlled through the input high-low level command; when receiving signals, the mobile terminal system judges whether to perform power-off processing on the tuner according to the strength of the received signals, when transmitting signals, the power output of a power amplifier of the mobile terminal is adjusted according to communication information returned by the base station, when the power output value of the power amplifier is reduced to a threshold value, the communication quality is judged and analyzed, and power-off or power supply processing is determined for the tuner according to the judgment and analysis result, so that the power consumption of the tuner is reduced, the waste of the tuner on the electric energy of the mobile terminal equipment is reduced, and the standby time of the mobile terminal equipment is prolonged.
For example, in a common household, a broadband is used for a long time, and wireless routers (WIFI) are mostly installed, the strength of WIFI signals in different rooms in the household is different, when the mobile terminal device is located in a room with a strong WIFI signal, the method of the embodiment is adopted to power off the tuner of the mobile terminal device, and when the mobile terminal device is located in a room with a weak signal, the power is continuously supplied to the tuner of the mobile terminal device, compared with the prior art that power is continuously supplied to the tuner of the mobile terminal device in a scene-independent manner, the power consumption of the tuner is reduced, the waste of the tuner to the electric energy of the mobile terminal device is reduced, and the standby time of the mobile terminal device is prolonged.
Exemplary method
The method for reducing the power consumption of the tuner according to the embodiment can be applied to a mobile terminal device, and specifically as shown in fig. 1, the method for reducing the power consumption of the tuner includes the following steps:
and step S100, setting an EN enabling pin on a tuner of the mobile terminal.
In this embodiment, the tuner of the mobile terminal belongs to an active device, and it needs to be powered to work. The EN enabling pin controls the power supply or the power off of the tuner. The tuner of the mobile terminal is used for widening the antenna bandwidth and improving the antenna efficiency. For example, when the tuner is not used, the built-in antenna of the mobile terminal has an antenna efficiency of 30% at B8, 20% at B20 and 10% at B28 (the B8/B20/B28 frequency bands have different operating frequencies, the built-in antenna of the mobile terminal is limited by environment and antenna space, and the antenna bandwidth and the antenna efficiency which can be achieved when the tuner is not used are limited), and when the tuner is used, the antenna efficiency can reach 30% at B8, B20 and B28.
The tuner of the present embodiment may be in the form of a change-over switch or a variable capacitor. The switch-type tuner is provided with a plurality of channels which can be connected with the antenna radiating body and matched with a plurality of different antennas, when different frequency bands work, the switch-type tuner can be switched to different antenna matching, so that the resonant frequency corresponding to the antenna radiating body is shifted, the antenna has a plurality of resonant frequencies, and the purposes of expanding the bandwidth of the antenna and improving the efficiency of the antenna are achieved. The variable capacitance tuner is a capacitor, the capacitance value of the variable capacitance tuner is variable, the variable capacitance tuner is similar to a switch-type tuner, when the variable capacitance tuner works in different frequency bands, different capacitance values can be presented by the variable capacitance tuner, the variable capacitance tuner is matched with different antennas, and the resonant frequency corresponding to an antenna radiator is shifted, so that the antennas have multiple resonant frequencies, and the purposes of expanding the bandwidth of the antennas and improving the efficiency of the antennas are achieved.
Because the tuner belongs to an active device and can work only by supplying power, in order to reduce the power consumption of the tuner of the mobile terminal and reduce the waste of electric energy of the mobile terminal, an EN enabling pin is designed on the tuner firstly, and different high and low levels are input to the tuner through the EN enabling pin to control the power supply or the power off of the tuner. In this embodiment, the tuner can input different high and low levels to the tuner through the EN enable pin according to the strength of the signal through analysis and judgment to control the power supply or the power off of the tuner in both the signal receiving state and the signal transmitting state of the mobile terminal.
When the mobile terminal receives a signal, the level of the EN enabling pin is determined by the mobile terminal system through comparison and judgment according to the strength of the signal received by the mobile terminal and a preset strength threshold of the received signal;
specifically, when the mobile terminal receives a signal, when the intensity of the signal received by the mobile terminal is greater than a preset threshold value, the tuner of the mobile terminal is quickly powered off, the intensity and the quality of the signal received during the quick power-off period of the tuner of the mobile terminal are detected and recorded, whether the intensity and the quality of the received signal can meet communication requirements or not is judged, the communication requirements can be met, an EN enabling pin sends a command to the tuner, the tuner is powered off and cannot meet the communication requirements, and the EN enabling pin sends the command to the tuner to supply power to the tuner.
When the mobile terminal transmits a signal, the level of the EN enabling pin is adjusted to be lower by the mobile terminal in response to the requirement of the base station by a power amplifier of the mobile terminal, and when the output power of the power amplifier is reduced to a preset output power threshold value of the power amplifier, analysis, judgment and determination are carried out according to information returned by the base station;
specifically, when the mobile terminal transmits a signal, the power amplifier of the mobile terminal reduces the output power of the power amplifier according to a received command of the base station, when the output power of the power amplifier is adjusted to be lower than a preset output power threshold of the power amplifier, the tuner of the mobile terminal is quickly powered off, the mobile terminal system obtains the information of the strength and quality of a received signal returned by the base station, analyzes and judges whether the strength and quality of the received signal returned by the base station meet communication requirements and can meet the communication requirements, the EN enable pin sends a command to the tuner and carries out power-off processing on the tuner and cannot meet the communication requirements, and the EN enable pin sends a command to the tuner to supply power to the tuner.
For example, if the mobile terminal is a mobile phone, when the mobile phone is located in a room with a strong WIFI signal at home to receive information, after the tuner is powered off, the intensity of the WIFI signal received by the mobile phone is still large enough to ensure normal reception of the information, the EN enable pin sends a command to the tuner to power off the tuner, so that the mobile phone continues to operate normally when the tuner is powered off. On the contrary, when the mobile phone is in a room with weak signals to receive information, after the tuner is powered off, the signal received by the mobile phone is weaker, so that the normal reception of the mobile phone information is influenced, the EN enabling pin sends a command to the tuner to continuously supply power to the tuner, and the received signal is ensured to be strong enough.
Similarly, for example, when the mobile phone is located in a room where a WIFI signal is strong at home to transmit information, after the tuner is powered off, the strength of the signal transmitted by the mobile phone is still large enough to ensure normal transmission of the information, the EN enable pin sends a command to the tuner to power off the tuner, so that the mobile phone continues to operate normally when the tuner is powered off. On the contrary, when the mobile phone is in a room with weak signals to send information, after the tuner is powered off, the signal emitted by the mobile phone is weaker, so that the normal sending of the mobile phone information is influenced, the EN enabling pin sends a command to the tuner to continuously supply power to the tuner, and the signal emitted by the mobile phone is strong enough.
And S200, when the mobile terminal receives a signal, comparing the strength value of the received signal with a preset signal strength threshold value, and supplying power to or cutting off power from the tuner through the EN enabling pin.
According to the embodiment, the signal strength can be judged when the signal is received according to the environment of the mobile terminal, and the power supply or the power off of the tuner can be automatically determined.
In this embodiment, the RSSI value is used as the strength indicator of the signal received by the mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal system presets a threshold of strength of the signal received by the radio frequency chip of the mobile terminal from the base station, where the threshold is the RSSI value-90 dBm.
In one implementation, as shown in fig. 2, step S200 specifically includes the following steps:
step S201, the mobile terminal receives signals.
After the mobile terminal receives the signal, the strength of the received signal needs to be compared with a preset signal strength threshold.
Step S202, the mobile terminal compares the intensity of the received signal with a preset signal intensity threshold value for judgment.
And step S203, when the intensity of the received signal is greater than a preset signal intensity threshold value, quickly powering off and recovering the tuner, and detecting and recording the intensity and quality of the received signal.
Step S204, determining whether the received signal meets the communication requirement according to the strength and the quality of the received signal.
And S205, when the received signal meets the communication requirement, inputting a low level by the EN enabling pin to control the power-off of the tuner, otherwise, inputting a high level by the EN enabling pin to control the power supply of the tuner.
When the strength of the signal is larger than the signal strength threshold, the mobile terminal quickly powers off the tuner, detects and records the strength and quality of the signal received by the mobile terminal after the tuner is powered off, and judges whether the strength and quality of the signal meet communication requirements or not; after the tuner detected and recorded by the mobile terminal system is powered off, the strength and the quality of a signal received by the mobile terminal can meet communication requirements, and then the mobile terminal system carries out power-off processing on the tuner; and after the mobile terminal system detects and records that the strength and the quality of the signal received by the mobile terminal after the tuner is powered off cannot meet the communication requirements, the mobile terminal system recovers power supply to the tuner.
And when the strength of the signal is smaller than the signal strength threshold value, the mobile terminal system continuously supplies power to the tuner.
When the mobile terminal receives signals, the mobile terminal system compares the intensity of the received signals with an intensity threshold value of a radio frequency chip of the mobile terminal for receiving base station signals, which is preset by the mobile terminal system, when the intensity of the received signals is larger than the preset threshold value of minus 90dBm, the mobile terminal quickly powers off the tuner, detects and records the intensity and quality of the signals received by the mobile terminal during the short power off period of the tuner, judges the intensity and quality of the signals received by the mobile terminal, and confirms that the intensity and quality of the signals at the moment can not meet the requirement of normal information receiving of the mobile terminal.
If the strength and quality of the signal received by the mobile terminal can meet the requirement of normal information reception of the mobile terminal when the tuner detected and recorded by the mobile terminal system is powered off for a short time, the mobile terminal system sends a level signal for powering off the tuner through an EN enabling pin to power off the tuner, so that the tuner is powered off, the mobile terminal equipment is in a state that the tuner stops working, but the mobile terminal equipment works normally, and the information reception runs normally. Because the tuner stops working, the tuner has no power consumption requirement, and the power consumption of the mobile terminal equipment is reduced.
If the strength and quality of the signal received by the mobile terminal cannot meet the requirement of normal information reception of the mobile terminal when the tuner detected and recorded by the mobile terminal system is powered off for a short time, the mobile terminal system sends a level signal for power supply processing of the tuner through an EN enabling pin, so that the tuner is powered on normally, the tuner is in a normal working state, and normal operation of the mobile terminal equipment and normal information reception are ensured.
The mobile terminal system compares the intensity of the received signal with an intensity threshold value of a radio frequency chip of the mobile terminal for receiving a base station signal, which is preset by the mobile terminal system, and when the intensity of the received signal is smaller than the preset threshold value of-90 dBm, the EN enable pin sends out a level signal for supplying power to the tuner, so that the tuner is normally powered, the tuner is in a normal working state, and the normal working of the mobile terminal equipment and the normal operation of signal receiving are ensured.
And step S300, when the mobile terminal transmits a signal, the power amplifier of the mobile terminal reduces the output power to a preset power threshold according to the information returned by the base station, compares the signal intensity returned by the base station with the preset signal intensity threshold, and supplies or cuts off power to the tuner through the EN enabling pin.
In this embodiment, the mobile terminal system receives, according to the environment where the mobile terminal is located, the signal strength and quality information received by the base station and returned by the base station when sending the signal, and performs judgment and analysis on the signal to automatically determine whether to supply power to or cut off power from the tuner. The minimum output power threshold of the power amplifier is preset to be 10 dBm.
In one implementation, as shown in fig. 3, the step S300 specifically includes the following steps:
step S301, the mobile terminal transmits signals;
step S302, the mobile terminal receives a base station command, adjusts the power amplifier to a preset power threshold value, quickly cuts off the power of the tuner, and obtains the strength and quality of a received signal returned by the base station;
the mobile terminal system presets a minimum output power threshold of a power amplifier of the mobile terminal, and the minimum output power threshold of the power amplifier is set to be 10 dBm;
step S303, determining whether the received signal meets the communication requirement according to the strength and the quality of the received signal;
step S304, when the received signal meets the communication requirement, the EN enabling pin inputs a low level to control the tuner to be powered off, otherwise, the EN enabling pin inputs a high level to control the tuner to be powered on;
in specific implementation, when the mobile terminal transmits a signal, the mobile terminal receives the strength and quality information of the signal transmitted by the mobile terminal from the base station, the base station returns from the base station, the mobile terminal system adjusts the output power of the power amplifier of the mobile terminal according to the received information of the base station, and when the output power is adjusted to be lower than the preset minimum output power threshold of the power amplifier by 10dBm, the tuner is quickly powered off. When the tuner is quickly powered off, the mobile terminal system acquires and records the strength and quality information of the signal transmitted by the mobile terminal and returned by the base station within short power-off time, and judges that the strength and quality of the signal can not meet the normal signal transmission requirement of the mobile terminal.
When the strength and the quality of a signal transmitted by the mobile terminal and received by the base station returned by the base station in the short power-off time of the tuner acquired and recorded by the mobile terminal system can meet the requirement of the mobile terminal on normal signal transmission, the mobile terminal system sends a level signal for performing power-off processing on the tuner through an EN enabling pin to power off the tuner, the mobile terminal equipment is in a working state that the tuner stops working, but the mobile terminal equipment works normally, and the information receiving is normally operated. Because the tuner stops working, the tuner has no power consumption requirement, and the power consumption of the mobile terminal equipment is reduced.
When the strength and the quality of a signal transmitted by the mobile terminal and received by the base station returned by the base station in the short power-off time of the tuner acquired and recorded by the mobile terminal system cannot meet the requirement of the mobile terminal for normal information transmission, the mobile terminal system sends a level signal for power supply processing of the tuner through an EN enabling pin, so that the tuner is normally powered on, the tuner is in a normal working state, and the normal working of the mobile terminal equipment and the normal operation of information reception are ensured.
In summary, this embodiment provides a method for reducing power consumption of a tuner, in which an EN enable pin is first designed for the tuner, and a high-low level command is input to the tuner through the EN enable pin to control the power supply or the power cut of the tuner, when receiving a signal, a system determines whether to perform power cut processing on the tuner according to the strength of the received signal, when transmitting the signal, adjusts the output power of a power amplifier according to communication information returned by a base station, when the output power is reduced to a threshold, the communication quality is analyzed and determined, and the power cut or the power supply is performed on the tuner according to the analysis result, thereby reducing the power consumption of the tuner and reducing the waste of electric energy of a mobile terminal.
