Description

Method for reserving and burning multi-channel programs in EPG (electronic program guide) and set top box
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of television set-top boxes, and particularly relates to a method for reserving and burning multiple channels of programs in an EPG (electronic program guide) and a set-top box.
Background
With the increasing popularization of digital televisions, the digital televisions bring more and more fun to daily leisure life, and the functions of the set top box are diversified day by day. For some favorite programs, people may not be able to watch the favorite programs on time, and it is important that the favorite programs can be reserved in a television program guide (EPG). But sometimes we're favorite programs may be played at the same time and we may not be able to watch several programs at the same time. Most set top boxes in the current market are designed for recording reserved single-channel programs in an EPG (electronic program guide), namely, the reserved recording of programs at a frequency point. The scheme can only support the recording of the programs at the same frequency point at the same time, and can only play the programs at the same frequency point at the same time. The existing reserved recording technology in the set top box EPG has obvious defects. Due to the limitation of the hardware of the set-top box: in the EPG, only one program can be reserved and recorded, the recording of programs at cross frequency points cannot be reserved simultaneously, and programs at other frequency points can only be switched to programs at corresponding frequency points and then recorded. And if the programs at a certain frequency point are recorded, the programs at other frequency points can not be played if the playing interface is switched to. This is a limitation of one-way recording, and if the Timeshift function is not turned on, the user cannot replay the program while playing the program. Secondly, the user is accustomed to, and the user has a plurality of favorite programs, probably these favorite programs are a plurality of frequency points, and broadcast at the same time point, so that the user watches a program, just can't see other programs again.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to overcome the defects of the prior art, the invention aims to provide a method for reserving and recording multiple channels of programs in an EPG (electronic program guide) and a set top box, which can realize the reserving and recording of multiple channels of programs across frequency points.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention first provides a method for recording multiple programs in an EPG in advance, which includes:
program reservation, storing the event information of each reserved program in a database, and starting to execute the burning step when the reservation time is up;
and (3) program recording, binding an output port of the tuning demodulation module of each program with a recording channel corresponding to the demultiplexing module, and storing the recorded video in a TS format into a storage medium through the recording channel corresponding to the demultiplexing module.
Further, in the step of program reservation, each program includes a plurality of events, and each event information includes a start time, an end time, a program duration, a program profile, and a program ID.
Further, in the program reservation step, it is continuously checked whether the starting time of the reserved event in the database is consistent with the current time, if so, the program information is read from the database, the program recording is started, otherwise, the check is continued.
Furthermore, in the program recording step, each channel of program corresponds to one frequency point, and each tuning demodulation module only tunes and demodulates signals of one frequency point.
And further, recording video playback is also included, the playing channel of the demultiplexing module is bound with the code stream of the recording video, and the video playing is carried out after demodulation and demultiplexing processing.
Further, the database and the program for executing program reservation and program recording are stored in the memory module of the set-top box.
The invention also provides a set-top box for executing the method for reserving and burning the multi-channel programs in the EPG, which comprises a plurality of tuning demodulation modules, a demultiplexing module, a memory module, a storage medium and a set-top box body; the tuning demodulation module is electrically connected with the demultiplexing module, the demultiplexing module is electrically connected with the storage medium, the memory module is loaded with a program reservation program, a recording program and a database, and the tuning demodulation module, the demultiplexing module, the memory module and the storage medium are all arranged in the set top box body.
Furthermore, the tuning demodulation module comprises a tuning module and a demodulation module, the tuning module tunes the downlink signal into an intermediate frequency signal and transmits the intermediate frequency signal to the demodulation module, and the demodulation module demodulates the intermediate frequency signal into TS data.
Furthermore, the demultiplexing module is provided with a playing channel and a plurality of recording channels, and when programs are recorded, the output port of each tuning demodulation module is respectively bound with one recording channel.
Furthermore, recording video in the storage medium and playing the video through the playing channel.
Compared with the prior art, the invention adopts a plurality of tuning demodulation modules, each tuning demodulation module is correspondingly matched with a channel of a demultiplexing module to process the program signal of one frequency point and store and playback the processed multi-channel programs of different frequency points, thereby realizing the reserved recording of the multi-channel programs across the frequency points in the EPG, and overcoming the defects that only a single tuning demodulation module is adopted in the existing set top box, only the single-channel program can be reserved and recorded in the EPG, the recording of the programs across the frequency points can not be reserved simultaneously, and the programs of other frequency points can only be switched to the programs corresponding to the frequency points for recording.

as shown in fig. 2, the tuning and demodulation modules of the first embodiment are preferably two, and can perform recording of two channels of programs, where a frequency point corresponding to the first channel of program is a, and the tuning and demodulation module is Tuner0,Tuner0Output port and recording channel Demux of demultiplexing module1Bound and then passed through Demux1Storing the recorded video in a storage medium in a TS format; the second channel of program has two possibilities, one is that the first channel of program belongs to the frequency point A, the second one belongs to the frequency point B, and no matter which one belongs to the frequency point A, the tuning demodulation module corresponding to the second channel of program is Tuner1,Tuner1Output port of and another recording channel Demux of demultiplexing module2Binding, and passing through recording channel Demux2And storing the recorded video in a storage medium in a TS format. The TS is an MPEG2 transport stream, which is a file format for DVDs.
After the event information of the reserved program is stored in the database, two tuning demodulation modules correspond to each channel of program, then the tuning demodulation modules are respectively bound with two recording channels of the demultiplexing module, and the demultiplexing module stores the recorded video in a storage medium in a TS format, so that the reserved recording of multiple channels of programs in the EPG is realized.
As shown in fig. 1, the set-top box continuously checks whether the start time of the reserved event in the database is consistent with the current time, and if so, reads the event information from the database, starts the program recording, otherwise, continuously checks. Each program includes a plurality of events, and each event information includes a start time, an end time, a program duration, a program profile, and a program ID. Therefore, the situation that other non-reserved programs are recorded in the original program time slot recorded in the database due to the adjustment of the EPG program list can be avoided.
