本申请实施例提供一种终端设备接入方法和装置,涉及通信领域,能够缩短终端设备发生故障或事故后的恢复时长。其方法为:终端设备接收网络设备发送的第一跟踪区标识,第一跟踪区标识不包含在终端设备的跟踪区列表内;终端设备向网络设备发送随机接入请求。本申请实施例应用于远程触发终端设备接入网络的过程中。
