Description

Connecting mechanism and wire arranging device thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to a connecting mechanism and a wire arranging device thereof, in particular to a wire arranging device which can be detached from the connecting mechanism and then kept at a preset position so as to be beneficial to replacing an electronic module of equipment connected with the connecting mechanism.
Background
For example, U.S. patent publication No. US 9,072,190B 2 discloses a wire arranging arm mechanism including a first arm, a second arm and at least one support member. The first arm, the second arm and the at least one support member are respectively pivoted with a first connecting piece, a second connecting piece and a third connecting piece. The at least one supporting piece is connected to the bottoms of the first arm and the second arm through a sliding block, so that the at least one supporting piece can support the first arm and the second arm.
The first arm is detachably connected to a first fixed rail of a first slide rail assembly through the first connecting piece; the second arm is detachably connected to the first movable rail of the first slide rail assembly through the second connecting piece; the at least one supporting member is detachably connected to a second fixed rail of a second slide rail assembly through the third connecting member. The first movable rail of the first slide rail assembly and the second movable rail of the second slide rail assembly can be used for bearing a bearing object (such as server equipment).
In this case, the first arm and the second arm are easily and freely pivoted relative to the first connecting member and the second connecting member respectively and cannot be temporarily held (or fixed) at a predetermined position. At this time, when the electronic module behind the chassis (chassis) is to be replaced, the cable management arm mechanism that is not fixed may affect the replacement of the electronic module, because the cable management arm may be displaced to interfere with the replacement path of the electronic module.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, a wire management device 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first arm 22, a second arm 24, a first connecting member 26, a second connecting member 28, at least one supporting member 30, and a third connecting member 32.
The first arm 22 has a first end 34a and a second end 34b opposite to each other. The first arm 22 is provided with at least one first wire management feature 36 located between the first end 34a and the second end 34b of the first arm 22. Here, the at least one first wire management feature 36 is exemplified as an additional fitting detachably mounted to the first arm 22; alternatively, in other embodiments, the at least one first wire dress feature 36 may be a specific structure (e.g., a channel) directly integrated into the first arm 22; alternatively, the at least one first wire management feature 36 may be a strap for disposing on the first arm 22 for the purpose of providing management and supporting an electrical wire (not shown), but not limited thereto.
The second arm 24 has a first end 38a and a second end 38b that are opposite in position. The second arm 24 is provided with at least one second wire management feature 40 located between the first end 38a and the second end 38b of the second arm 24. Here, the at least one second wire arranging feature 40 and the at least one first wire arranging feature 36 have substantially the same structural configuration for arranging and supporting the electronic wires, and for the sake of brevity, are not described herein again. Wherein the first end 38a of the second arm 24 and the first end 34a of the first arm 22 are pivotally connected to each other. Herein, the first end 34a of the first arm 22 and the first end 38a of the second arm 24 are respectively pivoted to two ends of a mounting member 44 through a first pivot member 42a and a second pivot member 42 b; alternatively, in other embodiments, the first end 34a of the first arm 22 and the first end 38a of the second arm 24 can be directly pivoted to each other, and the implementation is not limited.
The first link 26 is pivotally connected to the second end 34b of the adjacent first arm 22 by a first shaft 46 a.
The second link 28 is pivotally connected to the second end 38b of the adjacent second arm 24 by a second shaft 46 b.
The at least one support member 30 is configured to support one of the first arm 22 and the second arm 24. Preferably, the at least one support 30 is connected to the bottom of the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 by a base 48.
The third connecting member 32 is pivotally connected to the at least one supporting member 30. For example, a base 50 is disposed at a supporting end 49 of the at least one supporting member 30, and the base 50 has a first connecting section 52a and a second connecting section 52b bent relative to the first connecting section 52a, wherein the second connecting section 52b is bent substantially perpendicular to the first connecting section 52a, but the embodiment is not limited thereto. Wherein, the third connecting member 32 is pivotally connected to the second connecting section 52b of the base 50 through an auxiliary shaft 53.
One of the first arm 22 and the first connector 26 is provided with a catch feature 54 and the other of the first arm 22 and the first connector 26 is provided with a corresponding feature 56. Here, it is exemplified that the first arm 22 is provided with the catch feature 54 and the first connecting member 26 is provided with the corresponding feature 56.
The detent feature 54 is an additional component connected to the first arm 22, and the detent feature 54 is an elastic component (such as, but not limited to, an elastic piece or a flexible object), but is not limited to the implementation. The latching feature 54 has a connecting portion 58, a contact portion 59, and a resilient portion 60 located between the connecting portion 58 and the contact portion 59. The detent feature 54 is connected to the second end 34b of the first arm 22 via the connecting portion 58, and the resilient portion 60 is tilted at an angle relative to the connecting portion 58. On the other hand, the corresponding feature 56 is an additional component connected to the first connecting element 26, and the corresponding feature 56 has a mounting portion 62 and a corresponding portion 64 (this portion can be referred to in fig. 3). The mounting portion 62 is connected to the first connecting member 26; the corresponding portion 64 extends from the mounting portion 62.
As shown in fig. 4, the latching feature 54 has a latching portion 57 disposed between the elastic portion 60 and the contact portion 59. Preferably, the detent portion 57 is located at a bent portion between the elastic portion 60 and the contact portion 59. Further, the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 can be located at a first position P1 corresponding to the first connecting element 26 and the second connecting element 28, respectively.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 can pivot to a second position P2 (shown in fig. 6) from the first position P1 to a first rotation direction R1 (shown in fig. 5) by a predetermined angle relative to the first link 26 and the second link 28, respectively.
Specifically, during the pivoting process to the second position P2, the contact portion 59 of the latching feature 54 on the first arm 22 contacts the corresponding portion 64 of the corresponding feature 56 on the first connecting member 26 to generate a force K to the elastic portion 60 of the latching feature 54, so that the elastic portion 60 of the latching feature 54 can be elastically deformed to accumulate an elastic force until the first arm 22 pivots to the second position P2 (as shown in fig. 6) by the predetermined angle relative to the first connecting member 26, the resilient portion 60 of the detent feature 54 releases the spring force, allowing the detent feature 54 and the corresponding feature 56 to interact, for example, the detent feature 54 interacts with the counterpart 64 of the counterpart feature 56 via the detent 57, enabling the first arm 22 to be maintained in the second position P2 relative to the first link 26, for preventing the first arm 22 from pivoting from the second position P2 in a second rotational direction R2 opposite the first rotational direction R1; on the other hand, since the pivotal path of the second arm 24 relative to the second link 28 in the second rotational direction R2 is blocked by the first arm 22, the second arm 24 can be maintained at the second position P2 relative to the second link 28.
It should be noted that, as shown in fig. 6, once the user applies a force to the first arm 22 or the second arm 24 in the second rotation direction R2, and the force is greater than the elastic force of the elastic portion 60 of the latching feature 54, the latching portion 57 of the latching feature 54 can be released from the corresponding portion 64 of the corresponding feature 56; alternatively, a user can directly apply force to operate the elastic portion 60 of the latching feature 54 to unlatch the latching portion 57 of the latching feature 54 from the corresponding portion 64 of the corresponding feature 56, both of which are intended to allow the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 to pivot from the second position P2 to the second rotation direction R2 relative to the first connecting member 26 and the second connecting member 28 respectively to return to the first position P1.
As shown in fig. 7 and 8, a carrier 66 can be mounted to a frame via a first slide assembly 68 and a second slide assembly 70. Specifically, the first slide assembly 68 includes a first rail 72 (e.g., inner rail) and a second rail 74 (e.g., outer rail) longitudinally displaceable relative to each other, here exemplified by a first post 71a and a second post 71b of the frame to which the front and rear ends of the second rail 74 are respectively mounted; similarly, the second slide assembly 70 includes a third rail 76 (e.g., inner rail) and a fourth rail 78 (e.g., outer rail) longitudinally displaceable relative to each other, here exemplified by a third column 71c and a fourth column 71d at which the front and rear ends of the fourth rail 78 are mounted to the frame, respectively; in addition, the carrier 66 is mounted between the first rail 72 and the third rail 76, and the carrier 66 is displaceable by the first rail 72 and the third rail 76. On the other hand, the wire management device 20 is disposed adjacent to the rear side B of the carrier 66, and the wire management features 36 and 40 of the wire management device 20 are used for carrying electronic wires of the carrier 66 (e.g., electronic equipment).
The first connecting member 26, the second connecting member 28 and the third connecting member 32 are used for connecting the wire management device 20 to a first object, a second object and a third object respectively. Further, the first connecting member 26 is configured to be detachably connected to a rear end of the first rail 72 of the first slide rail assembly 68; the second connecting member 28 is adapted to be detachably connected to the rear end of the second rail 74 of the first slide rail assembly 68; the third connecting member 32 is configured to be detachably connected to the rear end of the fourth rail 78 of the second slide assembly 70. It should be noted that the first slide rail assembly 68, the second slide rail assembly 70 and the wire management device 20 may form a connecting mechanism.
As shown in fig. 8 and 9, when the third connecting member 32 is detached from the rear end of the fourth rail 78 of the second rail assembly 70, the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 can pivot from the first position P1 (shown in fig. 8) to the first rotating direction R1 to the second position P2 (shown in fig. 9) relative to the first connecting member 26 and the second connecting member 28, respectively. The first arm 22 and the second arm 24 can be maintained at the second position P2 relative to the first connecting element 26 and the second connecting element 28 respectively by the interaction of the detent feature 54 and the corresponding feature 56 (see fig. 6). According to this configuration, an open space can be maintained at the rear side B of the carrier 66, which is helpful for a user to maintain the related electronic modules at the rear side B of the carrier 66.
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhanced efficacy and advantages of the present invention are: by the cooperation of the latching features 54 and the corresponding features 56 (e.g., the latching therebetween), the first arm 22 and the second arm 24 can be maintained at the second position P2 relative to the first connector 26 and the second connector 28, respectively, so as to facilitate the electronic module of the device to which the connection mechanism is connected to be replaced.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
