The technical scheme adopted by the invention for solving the technical problems is to provide a CMDB-based virtual machine information acquisition method, which comprises the following steps: s1: the following configuration information is extracted from the VMware vCenter Server's database: the method comprises the following steps of (1) obtaining a virtual machine IP address, a virtual machine host name, a virtual machine operating system, a virtual machine CPU memory, the number of virtual machine network cards, the number of disks, a virtual machine host address and a virtual machine cluster name; s2: judging whether the extracted configuration item information is in a starting-up running state or not, if so, performing subsequent new-adding operation, and if not, not performing subsequent operation; secondly, whether the server in the starting state exists in an existing server list or not is judged, if the IP address of the server exists in the CMDB, the information of the host name, the virtual cluster, the physical host, the operating system and the like is updated into the CMDB, and if the IP address of the server does not exist, the information of the server is added; s3: temporarily storing the configuration item information meeting the conditions into a CMDB background database; s4: in a CMDB background database, a physical device list and a server list establish a mapping relation through a physical position, a virtual cluster list and the server list establish a mapping relation through a cluster name, the physical machine position of a virtual machine and the cluster name of the virtual machine are external association tables, mapped id values are stored in the server list, the physical machine position of the virtual machine and the cluster name of the virtual machine are completely supplemented through id conversion, and the mapped id values are updated into a CMDB operating system example table.
Furthermore, when a virtual machine needs to be added or deleted in a production environment, dynamic management of virtual machine configuration information can be realized by extracting a configuration information table in a VMware vCenter database, data does not need to be rearranged and imported into a CMDB, data updating can be realized only by executing an ETL script regularly, the data management cost of a configuration management database is reduced, and the flexibility of configuration information management is improved.
