Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a mounting structure of the bell mouth of the present embodiment will be described based on the drawings. The same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their names and functions are also the same. Therefore, detailed description thereof will not be repeated.
[ first embodiment ]
Fig. 1 is a schematic rear view showing a fan cover structure 10 to which a bell mouth mounting structure 20 of the present embodiment is applied, and fig. 2 is a schematic sectional view showing the bell mouth mounting structure 20 of the first embodiment, and is also a sectional view taken along line II-II of fig. 1.
The fan cover structure 10 includes: a fan cover 11; a fan 12 disposed between the fan cover 11 and an engine E (shown only in fig. 2); a fan ring 13 fixed to the engine E and surrounding the fan 12; and a bell mouth 14 that covers between the fan cover 11 and the fan ring 13.
The fan cover 11 is formed in a substantially rectangular cylindrical shape, and an opening edge on one end side thereof is fixed to a rear surface of a radiator, not shown, facing the engine E by bolts or the like. Further, an opening 11A having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the fan 12 is formed on the other end side of the fan cover 11. The opening portion 11A is formed in a substantially circular shape, and defines a ventilation space 15 (shown only in fig. 2) for introducing gas into the fan 12.
The fan 12 is disposed so that its rotational axis coincides with the central axis (axial center) of the fan ring 13, and is accommodated inside the fan ring 13. The fan 12 is rotationally driven by the power of the engine E, for example.
The fan ring 13 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape and is fixed to the engine E with bolts or the like, not shown. Further, on the outer peripheral surface of the fan ring 13, there are formed: a 1 st annular flange portion 13A located on the fan cover 11 side; and a 2 nd annular flange portion 13B located on the engine E side (both shown only in fig. 2). Further, a magnet 21 (an attraction member, a 1 st attraction member) is embedded in the fan ring 13, and the magnet 21 constitutes a part of a bell mouth attachment structure 20 described in detail later. The magnet 21 is preferably formed of a hard magnetic material or a hard magnetic material.
The bell mouth 14 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape by an elastic member such as a rubber material or a resin material, and covers a gap between the fan cover 11 and the fan ring 13. Therefore, in the bell mouth 14, the opening peripheral edge portion 14A on one end side (radiator side) is fitted and fixed to the annular recess portion 11B of the fan cover 11 over substantially the entire circumference, and the magnetic metal 25 (attracted member, 2 nd attracted member) embedded in the opening peripheral edge portion on the other end side (engine side) is attracted and fixed to the iron plate 23 via the magnetic force of the magnet 21, and the iron plate 23 is fixed to the outer circumferential portion of the fan ring 13. The magnetic metal 25 is preferably made of a ferromagnetic metal or the like. The details of the bell mouth attachment structure 20 will be described below with reference to fig. 3.
[ mounting Structure of Bell mouth ]
Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a bell mouth attachment structure 20 according to the present embodiment.
As shown in fig. 3, the bell mouth mounting structure 20 of the present embodiment includes: a magnet 21 embedded in an outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13; an iron plate 23 fixedly provided on an outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13 so as to cover the magnet 21; and a magnetic metal 25 embedded in the peripheral edge of the engine-side opening of the bell mouth 14.
The magnets 21 are embedded at a predetermined pitch in the circumferential direction in the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13, the iron plates 23 are provided at portions of the outer peripheral surface of the fan ring 13 corresponding to the magnets 21, and the magnetic metal 25 is provided at portions of the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14 corresponding to the iron plates 23.
At least one pair of the magnets 21, the iron plates 23, and the magnetic metal 25 is disposed diagonally upward and downward, or two pairs of magnets are disposed diagonally upward and downward, or diagonally rightward and leftward. The number and arrangement of the magnets 21, the iron plates 23, and the magnetic metal 25 are not limited to these, and can be set appropriately according to the size of the fan ring 13 or the bell mouth 14.
The magnetic metal 25 is made of, for example, steel, and is embedded in the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14 on the engine side. The magnetic metal 25 may be fixed to the opening peripheral edge of the bell mouth 14 by vulcanization adhesion, or may be fitted into a recess formed in advance in the opening peripheral edge of the bell mouth 14. The magnetic metal 25 is attracted to the iron plate 23 excited by the magnet 21.
Next, details of the iron plate 23 and the magnet 21 will be described with reference to fig. 4. The iron plate 23 is fixed to the outer periphery of the fan ring 13 so as to cover the magnet 21 from the outer periphery of the fan ring 13, and functions to collect the magnetic flux of the magnet 21. Namely, the present invention is configured to: by covering the magnets 21 with the iron plates 23, the magnetic metal 25 can be attracted more strongly than a configuration in which the magnets 21 are provided separately.
According to the present embodiment described in detail above, the configuration is such that: the magnet 21 is embedded in the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13, the iron plate 23 is fixedly provided on the outer peripheral surface of the fan ring 13 so as to cover the magnet 21, and the magnetic metal 25 is embedded in the peripheral portion of the engine-side opening of the bell mouth 14, whereby the peripheral portion of the engine-side opening of the bell mouth 14 is firmly held by magnetic force in the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13. Thus, for example, even if the bell mouth 14 is detached from the fan ring 13 by the relative movement between the fan ring 13 and the fan cover 11 due to vibration of the engine E or the like, the magnetic metal 25 is magnetically attracted to the iron plate 23, and the bell mouth 14 is again located on the fan ring 13, whereby the bell mouth 14 can be effectively prevented from coming off.
Further, the magnetic metal 25 is not provided in a ring shape over the entire circumference of the bell mouth 14 in the circumferential direction, but is provided partially at a predetermined pitch in the circumferential direction. That is, when the bell mouth 14 is assembled to the fan ring 13, the operator can easily attach the bell mouth 14 to the fan ring 13 without having to enlarge the bell mouth 14 with a large force, and the assembly workability can be effectively improved.
[ second embodiment ]
Fig. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a bell mouth attachment structure 30 of the second embodiment.
As shown in fig. 5, in a bell mouth mounting structure 30 of the second embodiment, a magnet 31 is embedded in an opening peripheral edge portion on the engine side of a bell mouth 14, and at least an outer peripheral portion or the whole of a fan ring 13 is formed of a magnetic metal.
The magnets 31 are provided at a predetermined pitch in the circumferential direction on the peripheral edge of the opening on the engine side of the bell mouth 14. The magnets 31 are arranged at least in a pair at the upper and lower diagonal positions, or in two pairs at the upper, lower, left and right diagonal positions. The number and arrangement of the magnets 31 are not limited to this, and can be set appropriately according to the size of the fan ring 13 or the bell mouth 14. The magnet 31 is embedded in the opening peripheral edge portion on the engine side of the bell mouth 14, but may be fixed to the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14 by vulcanization bonding, or may be fitted into a recess formed in advance in the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14.
According to the second embodiment described in detail above, the configuration is such that: the magnet 31 is attracted to the outer peripheral surface of the fan ring 13 made of magnetic metal, whereby the bell mouth 14 is firmly held by the fan ring 13. Thus, as in the first embodiment, even if the bell mouth 14 is separated from the fan ring 13 by the relative movement between the fan ring 13 and the fan cover 11 due to vibration of the engine E or the like, the bell mouth 14 is again positioned on the fan ring 13, and the drop-out of the bell mouth 14 can be effectively prevented.
[ third embodiment ]
Next, a bell mouth mounting structure 40 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 6.
As shown in fig. 6, the bell mouth mounting structure 40 of the third embodiment includes: an electromagnet 41 provided on the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13; a magnet 42 embedded in the peripheral edge of the opening on the engine side of the bell mouth 14; and an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) 100.
The electromagnets 41 are embedded in the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13 in the circumferential direction at a predetermined pitch such that the N-pole and the S-pole are aligned in the radial direction of the fan ring 13. The magnet 42 is provided at a portion corresponding to the electromagnet 41 in the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14 so that the N-pole or S-pole is directed to the outer peripheral side of the fan ring 13. The magnet 42 may be fixed to the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14 by vulcanization bonding, or may be fitted into a recess portion formed in advance in the opening peripheral edge portion of the bell mouth 14.
At least one pair of the electromagnets 41 and the magnets 42 is disposed diagonally upward and downward, or two pairs of the electromagnets and the magnets are disposed diagonally upward, downward, leftward, and rightward. The number and arrangement relationship of the electromagnets 41 and the magnets 42 are not limited to these, and can be set appropriately according to the size of the fan ring 13 or the bell mouth 14.
The excitation of the electromagnet 41 is controlled by an instruction from the ECU 100. The details of the ECU100 will be described below.
The ECU100 performs various controls of the engine E and the like, and is configured to include a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a ROM (Read Only Memory), a RAM (Random Access Memory), an input port, an output port, and the like. The ECU100 includes an electromagnet control unit 110 as a part of the functional elements.
When a request for starting the engine E is issued by an on operation of the ignition switch 95, the electromagnet control unit 110 energizes the electromagnet 41 with electric power supplied from an unillustrated in-vehicle battery and excites the electromagnet 41. When the electromagnet 41 is excited, the magnet 42 is attracted to the electromagnet 41, and thus the peripheral edge of the engine-side opening of the bell mouth 14 is attracted to and fixed to the outer peripheral portion of the fan ring 13. On the other hand, when a stop request of the engine E is issued by the off operation of the ignition switch 95, the electromagnet control portion 110 stops the energization of the electromagnet 41 and demagnetizes the electromagnet 41 to suppress unnecessary power consumption.
According to the third embodiment described in detail above, the configuration is such that: when a start request of the engine E is issued, the magnet 42 is attracted to the electromagnet 41 by exciting the electromagnet 41, and the bell mouth 14 is firmly held by the fan ring 13. Thus, as in the first and second embodiments, even if the bell mouth 14 is detached from the fan ring 13 by the relative movement between the fan ring 13 and the fan cover 11 due to vibration of the engine E or the like, the bell mouth 14 is again located on the fan ring 13, and the drop-out of the bell mouth 14 can be effectively prevented.
[ others ]
The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be modified and implemented as appropriate within a scope not departing from the gist of the present disclosure.
For example, in the third embodiment, the electromagnet control unit 110 may be configured to: when the start of the vehicle running is detected based on a sensor value of a vehicle speed sensor, not shown, the electromagnet 41 is excited.
Although the magnets 21 and 31 and the magnetic metal 25 are partially provided at a predetermined pitch in the circumferential direction, they may be provided in a ring shape over the entire circumference in the circumferential direction.
The present application is based on the japanese patent application filed on 20/9/2018 (japanese application 2018-175696), the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
