The network device in the present application may be a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) or Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), a Base Station (NodeB, NB) in Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), an evolved NodeB (eNB) in Long Term Evolution (LTE) or enhanced Long Term Evolution (LTE), a next-generation evolved NodeB (next generation evolved node b), an Access Point (AP, AP) or a relay Station in WLAN, a gbb in 5G NR, a gsb in future communication network, and the like.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a network architecture provided in an embodiment of the present application, and the technical solution provided in the present application is based on the network architecture shown in fig. 1, where the network architecture includes at least one terminal device 100, and communicates with a first network device 200 and a second network device 300 through a wireless interface, and for clarity, only one terminal device, one first network device, and one second network device are shown in fig. 1.
The method of the embodiment of the application can be applied to a dual connectivity scenario, for example, when the method is applied to a terminal device supporting EN-DC, a Master Cell Group (MCG) and a Secondary Cell Group (SCG) are concepts in the dual connectivity scenario, and it can be simply understood that a Group in which a Cell that the terminal device first initiates Random Access (RACH) is an MCG. When the MCG is a cell group under LTE network and the SCG is a cell group under NR network, the dual connectivity is EN-DC, as shown in fig. 2.
In order to save hardware timer resources, for EN-DC terminal devices, the same set of hardware timer resources need to be reused when an LTE network measures an NR neighboring cell and when an NR network measures an NR neighboring cell. In the related art, before an NR connection is not established, inter-technology-RAT measurement needs to be performed on an NR neighboring cell configured by LTE; and then the LTE network selects an NR target cell configured with EN-DC according to the measurement result of the inter-RAT. Before the NR connection is established or released, the procedure of measuring the NR neighboring cell by LTE is stopped, and the NR connection is re-started after the NR connection is established or released, and a target cell established by the NR connection needs to be synchronized again, so that timing information is obtained, the timer of the NR system is adjusted, and the operation is complicated.
NR cells may perform measurements based on two different Reference signals, which are the synchronization Signal Block SS-Block and the Channel State Information measurement Reference Signal (CSI-RS), respectively; the CSI-RS only exists in a service state, and only SS-Block exists in standby.
NR adjacent regions measured by inter-RAT under LTE network are only measured based on SS-Block; NR networks under EN-DC dual connectivity, SS-Block and CSI-RS exist.
The time sequence relation among the timer of the NR network, the serving cell and the adjacent cell is as follows:
after reselecting or switching to the NR service cell, the timing of the local NR network is adjusted to be aligned with the air interface time sequence of the network; then, synchronizing and measuring adjacent cells based on the time sequence coordinate of the service cell;
the slot starting boundary and the symbol starting boundary of the adjacent region and the slot starting boundary and the symbol starting boundary of the NR network may not be aligned;
synchronously detecting each adjacent frequency point to obtain a deviation value of a slot boundary of each adjacent frequency point relative to the slot boundary of the NR network; and then, the measurement frequency points periodically receive data based on the time axis of the NR network, and the detected cells under the measurement frequency points calculate the positions of the self-measurement reference signals according to the deviation values to read and measure the data.
In the process of establishing the NR connection, the physical layer of the NR first receives a synchronization message that specifies an NR target cell and is issued by an NR Radio Resource Control (RRC), and a signaling process for establishing the NR connection can be performed only after the NR physical layer is synchronized to the NR target cell; and finally, after the NR connection is established, the NR network also configures NR adjacent cell measurement, and finally, the NR adjacent cell measurement configured by the LTE network and the NR adjacent cell measurement configured by the NR network coexist.
According to the method, the starting time of the timer of the second network equipment is adjusted by using the measured timing information of the target cell, so that the timing of the second network equipment is consistent with the timing of the target cell.
The technical solution of the present application will be described in detail below with specific examples. The following several specific embodiments may be combined with each other, and details of the same or similar concepts or processes may not be repeated in some embodiments.
Fig. 3 is a schematic flowchart of an embodiment of a timing measurement method provided in the present application. As shown in fig. 3, the method provided by this embodiment includes:
step 101, after a terminal device is switched from a first measurement scene to a second measurement scene, acquiring timing information of a target cell measured in the first measurement scene; the first measurement scene is a scene in which the terminal equipment establishes connection with the first network equipment; the second measurement scenario is a scenario in which the terminal device establishes dual connectivity with the first network device and the second network device, and the target cell is a cell served by the second network device.
Specifically, the first measurement scenario is a scenario in which the terminal device establishes a connection with the first network device, and the first network device configures neighbor measurement of the second network in the first measurement scenario; the second measurement scenario is a scenario in which the terminal device establishes dual connectivity with the first network device and the second network device, and the second network device configures neighbor measurement of a second network in the second measurement scenario.
After the terminal device switches from the first measurement scenario to the second measurement scenario, the timing information of the target cell measured in the first measurement scenario, that is, the timing information of the target cell measured by the first network device, is obtained.
Assuming the following measurement scenarios exist, the following first network device takes a network device of an LTE network and a network device of an NR network as an example for explanation:
measurement scenario 1: the terminal equipment establishes connection with LTE network equipment, connection with NR network equipment is not established, the LTE network equipment configures NR neighbor cell measurement, and no service cell exists in an NR network;
measurement scenario 2: the EN-DC dual connection is already established, but the LTE network is not configured with NR neighbor measurement, and only the NR network is configured with NR neighbor measurement;
measurement scenario 3: the EN-DC dual connection is already established, and the NR network and the LTE network are both configured with measurement of NR adjacent regions.
The first measurement scenario may be measurement scenario 1, and the second measurement scenario may be measurement scenario 2 or measurement scenario 3.
Step 102, adjusting the starting time of the timer of the second network device according to the timing information of the target cell, so that the timing of the second network device is consistent with the timing of the target cell.
Specifically, in step 101, the timing information of the target cell measured in the first measurement scenario is obtained, and then the start time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted according to the timing information of the target cell measured in the first measurement scenario, so that the timing of the second network device is consistent with the timing of the target cell.
TABLE 1
Figure BDA0002861912350000071
Table 1 shows the switching between measurement scenarios, whether or not timing adjustment of the second network device is required. If the measurement scenario 1 is switched to the measurement scenario 2 or switched to the measurement scenario 3, the timing adjustment of the second network device needs to be performed.
In one embodiment, the start time includes: a starting system frame number and a starting time of the starting system frame.
The start time of the timer of the second network is determined by the start SFN number and the start time of the start SFN.
In the method of this embodiment, after the terminal device switches from the first measurement scenario to the second measurement scenario, the timing information of the target cell measured in the first measurement scenario is acquired; the target cell is a cell served by the second network equipment; and adjusting the starting time of the timer of the second network equipment according to the measured timing information of the target cell so as to enable the timing of the second network equipment to be consistent with the timing of the target cell.
On the basis of the above embodiment, the following operations may be performed before step 101:
after receiving the synchronization request of the target cell, the terminal device determines whether the first network device of the terminal device configures neighbor cell measurement of a second network device;
if the neighbor cell measurement of the second network device is configured, determining whether the neighbor cell of the second network measured in the first measurement scenario includes the target cell; and if the target cell is included, executing the operation of the timing information of the target cell measured in the first measurement scene.
Specifically, after receiving a synchronization request of a target cell, a terminal device determines whether a first network device configures neighbor cell measurement of a second network device, and if the first network device configures neighbor cell measurement of the second network device, determines whether a neighbor cell of the second network measured in a first measurement scenario includes the target cell, that is, whether a neighbor cell of the second network measured by the first network device includes the target cell; if the target cell is included, executing the operation of step 101;
and if not, measuring the timing information of the target cell through the second network equipment, acquiring the timing information measured by the target cell in a second measurement scene, and adjusting the starting time of a timer of the second network equipment according to the timing information measured by the target cell in the second measurement scene.
If the first network device does not configure the neighbor cell measurement of the second network device, the timing information of the target cell can be measured by the second network device, the timing information measured by the target cell in the second measurement scenario is obtained, and then the starting time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted according to the timing information measured by the target cell in the second measurement scenario.
In an embodiment, step 102 may be specifically implemented as follows:
determining a first time difference between the current time of the timer and the starting time corresponding to the target cell according to the timing information of the target cell and the current time of the timer;
determining a first moment according to the first time difference and the current time of the timer;
adjusting a start time of a timer of the second network device to the first time.
Specifically, a first time difference between the current time of the timer and the start time corresponding to the target cell is determined according to the timing information of the target cell and the current time of the timer, assuming that the first time difference is t1, according to the first time difference t1 and the current time of the timer is t2, the first time is t2+ t1, and the start time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted to the first time.
In an embodiment, assuming that the second network is an NR network, the timer of the NR network is adjusted by using the measured timing information of the target cell, so that the start System Frame Number (SFN) of the NR network and the start time of the start System Frame are both aligned with the timing of the target cell.
Further, the adjustment amount of the timer of the NR network, including the adjustment amount of the SFN and the adjustment amount of the start time of the start system frame, can be recorded as delta _ SFN and delta _ offset, respectively.
For example, the starting system frame number in the current time of the timer is N1, the starting time of the starting system frame N1 is t1, the starting system frame number of the target cell is N2, the starting time of the starting system frame N2 is t2, and the first time difference between the current time of the timer and the starting time corresponding to the target cell includes the interval N2-N1 of the system frame numbers and the time difference t2-t1 of the starting time of the system frame; determining a starting system frame number N2 and a starting time of the starting system frame number t2 at the first moment, adjusting the starting time of the timer of the second network device to be the starting system frame number N2 and the starting time of the starting system frame N2 to be t2, so that the system frame number of the second network and the starting time of the system frame are aligned with the target cell.
For example, the starting system frame number in the current time of the timer is 15, the starting time of the starting system frame 15 is t1, the starting system frame number of the target cell is 20, the starting time of the starting system frame 20 is t2, the interval of the system frame numbers in the first time difference between the current time of the timer and the starting time corresponding to the target cell is 5 system frames, and the time difference of the starting times of the system frames is t2-t 1; the start time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted to be the start system frame number 20, and the start time of the start system frame 20 is t 2.
In the foregoing embodiment, the starting time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted according to the measured timing information of the target cell, so that the timing of the second network device is consistent with the timing of the target cell.
In one embodiment, the timing measurement method further includes:
and correcting the timing information of other cells measured in the first measurement scene according to the first time difference.
Specifically, after the start time of the timer is adjusted, the timing information of the other cells measured in the first measurement scenario needs to be corrected according to the first time difference, so that the timing of the other cells is consistent with the timing of the second network device.
TABLE 2
Figure BDA0002861912350000091
Figure BDA0002861912350000101
Table 2 shows whether the measurement scenarios are switched, whether the timing adjustment of the second network device is required, and whether the timing of other NR neighbor cells needs to be corrected. If the measurement scene 1 is switched to the measurement scene 2 or switched to the measurement scene 3, the timing of the second network device needs to be adjusted, and the timing of other NR neighboring cells needs to be corrected.
In the above embodiment, after the start time of the timer of the second network device is adjusted, the timing information of the other cell measured in the first measurement scenario is corrected, so that the timing of the other cell is consistent with the adjusted timing of the second network device.
In one embodiment, the timing measurement method includes:
after the terminal device is switched from a first cell to a second cell, adjusting the starting time of a timer of the second network device according to the timing information of the second cell measured in the second measurement scene; the first cell and the second cell are cells serving the second network device.
Specifically, assuming that the terminal device is in the second measurement scenario, after the terminal device is handed over from the first cell served by the second network device to the second cell, the timer of the second network device is adjusted according to the timing information of the second cell measured in the second measurement scenario, that is, the timing information of the second cell measured by the second network device, so that the timing of the second network device is consistent with the timing of the second cell.
Further, the step of "adjusting the start time of the timer of the second network device" may be specifically implemented by:
determining a second time difference between the current time of the timer and the starting time corresponding to the second cell according to the timing information of the second cell and the current time of the timer;
determining a second moment according to the second time difference and the current time of the timer;
adjusting a start time of a timer of the second network device to the second time.
Specifically, a second time difference between the current time of the timer and the start time corresponding to the target cell is determined according to the timing information of the second cell and the current time of the timer, and assuming that the second time difference is t1 ', the second time is t2 ' + t1 ' according to the second time difference t1 ' and the current time of the timer is t2 ', and the start time of the second network device timer is adjusted to the second time.
In the above embodiment, when an NR physical layer receives timing information sent by a higher layer to synchronize a target NR cell for handover when an EN-DC NR cell is handed over to another NR cell, the NR physical layer checks the timing information stored in the NR cell, and then adjusts the start time of the NR system timer according to the timing information of the NR cell, and records an adjustment amount.
In the solution of this embodiment, the implementation principle and the technical effect are similar to those of the foregoing switching from the first measurement scenario to the second measurement scenario, and details are not repeated here.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the timing measurement method includes the following steps:
step 401, after receiving the NR connection configuration of EN-DC, the NR high layer issues a synchronization request for designating an NR target cell to the physical layer;
step 402, checking whether the LTE network in the EN-DC connection state starts NR neighbor measurement;
if yes, go to step 403, check if the NR target cell is in the NR neighboring cell measured by LTE; if not, ending;
if yes, executing step 404, obtaining the timing information of the NR target cell in the timer of the current NR network, which is measured by the LTE network; if not, ending;
step 405, using the timing information of the NR target cell, adjusting a timer of the NR network so that the start SFN of the NR system and the start time of the start system frame are both aligned with the air interface of the NR target cell; the target NR cell is a serving cell Pscell of NR under EN-DC;
step 406, recording the adjustment amount of the timer of the NR network, including the SFN adjustment amount and the start time adjustment amount of the start system frame, which are recorded as (delta _ SFN, delta _ offset);
the SFN adjustment amount, i.e. the interval between the timing information of the NR target cell and the system frame number in the current time of the timer.
Step 407, traversing all NR neighboring cells measured by the LTE network, acquiring timing information of all NR neighboring cells, and correcting with the recorded adjustment amount (delta _ SFN, delta _ offset).
In the method of the embodiment, under an EN-DC scenario, the same hardware timer resource is multiplexed by the LTE measurement NR neighboring cell and the NR measurement NR neighboring cell of the same card in the terminal device; after the LTE starts to measure the NR adjacent region, the set of hardware timer resources of the NR is started, and at the moment, the setting of the slot starting boundary is not required, and the slot starting boundary can be randomly set or aligned with the slot starting boundary of the LTE network; after the NR network configures the NR connection of EN-DC, when the high layer requires the NR physical layer to synchronize a target cell, the NR physical layer checks the timing information (the timing information measured by the LTE network) stored in the target cell, then adjusts the starting time of a timer of the NR network according to the timing information of the cell, records the adjustment amount, and then corrects the timing information obtained by the measurement of other stored NR cells; then, the measurement of the NR adjacent region configured by the LTE and the measurement of the NR adjacent region configured by the NR are both carried out on the adjusted timer of the NR network; the timer of the NR network, as well as the timing of other measuring cells, can be kept unchanged at the time of connection release of the NR.
