Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.
The MBMS procedure is used to help the network identify User Equipments (UEs) that need some kind of common service and the geographical distribution of these UEs. When a certain condition is met, the network opens a multicast broadcast service for a certain service of these UEs. In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, an MBMS service Counting Request (expressed in english as MBMS service Counting Request) is used for a Multi-cell/Multicast Coordination Entity (MCE) to instruct a base station (i.e., evolved node b (enb)) covering a cell in an area with a certain Multicast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) to start a UE-oriented MBMS Counting procedure. There is an Information Element (IE) named MCCH Update Time for indicating in which MCCH Modification Period (Modification Period in english) the eNB sends MBMS Counting Request to the UE (MBMS Counting Request in english) (this IE carries an integer value from 0 to 255). Note that each eNB maintains a common (common) counter to record the number of MCCH modification periods that have currently passed, so that MBMS counting requests can be sent to multiple UEs in a group in the same MCCH modification period.
On the other hand, as shown in fig. 1, the frame where the MCCH is located occurs at intervals of time, the intervals being given by the MCCH repetition period (MCCH repetition period). The content on the MCCH changes only after the boundary of the MCCH modification period, with the interval given by the MCCH modification period. In the LTE system, two parameters, i.e., MCCH repetition period and MCCH modification period, are given in the system broadcast.
Meanwhile, the frame number of the current frame and the current counter condition of the MCCH modification period are only clear for the DU responsible for air interface transmission. At the present stage, under the CU-DU architecture, Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling sent by the CU entity to the DU is not sent at a specified time, that is, after receiving the RRC signaling, the DU entity immediately sends the RRC signaling to the UE according to the scheduling scheme. However, for MBMS, the DU entity needs to send RRC signaling carrying MCCH counting request to the UE within a specified time window.
However, under the CU-DU architecture, it is the CU in the next generation Network (NG) that communicates with the Core Network (CN); and the DU is responsible for specific air interface data transmission. Under this architecture, the DU does not know the MBMS service counting request given by the MCE, and also does not know at which time to transmit the MBMS counting request to the UE.
Based on this, the embodiment of the present invention provides a counting scheme supporting MBMS oriented under CU-DU architecture.
The scheme of the embodiment of the invention can be realized by the following two ways:
in the first mode, a CU entity generates a MBMS counting request facing to UE and sends the MBMS counting request to the UE by a DU;
in the second mode, a DU entity generates a UE-oriented MBMS counting request and sends it to the UE.
Here, in actual use, one of the two modes may be selected and implemented as necessary.
Two implementations are described in detail below.
As for the first mode, an embodiment of the present invention provides an MBMS-based processing method, which is applied to a CU entity in an access network, and as shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
step 201: generating an MBMS counting request message;
step 202: and sending an MBMS counting request message to a DU entity of an access network, and sending MCCH update Time to the DU entity.
Wherein, the sent MCCH update Time is used for the DU entity to determine the Time period for sending the MBMS counting request message to the terminal.
Here, in practical applications, the determined time period for transmitting the MBMS counting request message may be an MCCH modification period for transmitting the MBMS counting request message to the terminal.
In step 201, during actual application, when the MBMS service needs to be counted, the MCE sends an MBMS service counting request to the CU entity to notify the MBMS service that needs to be counted; and the CU entity receives the MBMS counting request and generates an MBMS counting request message.
In step 202, during actual application, the CU may send an MBMS counting request message and an MCCH update Time to the DU entity at the same Time, that is, the MCCH update Time may be sent to the DU entity together with the MBMS counting request message generated by the CU entity, that is, the MBMS counting request message and the MCCH update Time are sent to the DU entity through a signaling.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the specific implementation of step 202 may include:
and sending an MBMS counting request message and MCCH update Time to the DU entity through a signaling.
Of course, the CU may also send the MBMS counting request message and the MCCH update Time to the DU entity at the same Time, that is, the MCCH update Time may be separately developed and sent to the DU entity together with the MBMS counting request message generated by the CU entity, that is, the MBMS counting request message and the MCCH update Time are sent through two signaling separately.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the specific implementation of step 202 may include:
transmitting an MBMS counting request message to the DU entity through a first signaling;
sending MCCH update Time to the DU entity through a second signaling; the second signaling also carries MBMS counting request message identification.
Wherein, the DU entity can know which MBMS counting request message sent by the CU entity corresponds to according to the MBMS counting request message identifier.
In practical application, the CU entity may interact with the DU entity through an F1 interface, and in the embodiment of the present invention, the CU entity sends an MBMS counting request message to the DU entity through an F1 interface, and sends an MCCH update Time to the DU entity.
Before the CU entity sends the MCCH update Time to the DU entity, the CU entity needs to know the MCCH update Time.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
and receiving the MCCH update Time sent by the MCE.
Here, in actual application, the MCE may send the MCCH update Time to the CU entity with the MBMS service counting request.
In practical applications, in order to count the number of UEs requiring a certain MBMS service in a finer area, the finer area information counted by the DU entity may be informed.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
sending the area information corresponding to the SSB to the DU entity; the area information is used for the DU entity to determine the terminal that sends the MBMS counting request message.
Here, in practical application, the CU entity needs to know the fine area that needs to be counted.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
and receiving the area information corresponding to the SSB sent by the MCE.
Here, in actual application, the MCE may carry the area information corresponding to the SSB in the MBMS service counting request and send the area information to the CU entity.
Correspondingly, an embodiment of the present invention further provides an MBMS-based processing method, which is applied to a DU entity of an access network, and as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 301: receiving MBMS counting request information and MCCH update Time sent by a CU entity;
step 302: determining a sending Time period by using MCCH update Time;
step 303: and transmitting an MBMS counting request message to the terminal in the determined transmission period.
In step 301, when a CU entity simultaneously transmits an MBMS count request message and an MCCH update Time, the DU entity receives the MBMS count request message and the MCCH update Time transmitted by the CU entity through one signaling.
Of course, when the CU entity does not simultaneously send the MBMS counting request message and the MCCH update Time, the DU performs the following operations:
receiving an MBMS counting request message sent by the CU entity through a first signaling;
receiving MCCH update Time sent by the CU entity through a second signaling; the second signaling also carries MBMS counting request message identification.
In step 302, in practical application, the transmission time period may be an MCCH modification period during which the MBMS counting request message is transmitted to the terminal, that is, the DU entity determines in which MCCH modification period the MBMS counting request message is transmitted to the terminal.
In an embodiment, the method may further comprise:
receiving area information corresponding to the SSB sent by the CU entity;
accordingly, in step 303, the DU entity sends an MBMS counting request message to the terminals in the area corresponding to the area information.
In the processing method based on the MBMS provided by the embodiment of the invention, a CU entity generates an MBMS counting request message; transmitting MBMS counting request information to a DU entity, and transmitting MCCH update Time to the DU entity; the DU entity receives MBMS counting request information and MCCH update Time sent by the CU entity; determining a sending Time period by using MCCH update Time; and transmitting an MBMS counting request message to the terminal in the determined transmission time period, generating an MBMS counting request facing the terminal by the CU entity, and transmitting the MBMS counting request to the terminal by the DU, so that the MBMS counting process can be realized under the CU-DU architecture.
For the second mode, an embodiment of the present invention provides a processing method based on an MBMS, which is applied to a DU entity of an access network, and as shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 401: generating an MBMS counting request message;
step 402: determining a transmission time period of an MBMS counting request message;
step 403: and transmitting an MBMS counting request message to the terminal in the determined transmission period.
For the second mode, in practical application, there are two specific implementation modes:
in a first specific implementation, the DU entity generates a UE-oriented MBMS counting request message (which may also be referred to as signaling) and sends it at a specified time;
in a second specific implementation, the DU entity generates a UE-oriented MBMS counting request message, and sends the UE-oriented MBMS counting request message modified in the next N MCCHs.
Here, in practical applications, the implementation may be performed by selecting one of the two specific implementations.
In step 401, during actual application, when the MBMS service needs to be counted, the MCE sends an MBMS service counting request to a CU entity of the access network to notify the MBMS service that needs to be counted; and the CU entity informs the DU entity after receiving the MBMS counting request, and the DU entity generates an MBMS counting request message.
For the first specific implementation, the CU entity needs to send useful information in the MBMS service counting request including MCCH update time information received from the MCE to the DU, where the useful information includes a point-to-multipoint Type (TMGI), a public land mobile network (PLMN ID, a service (service) ID, and the like.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
receiving MCCH update Time sent by the CU entity;
accordingly, in step 402, the DU entity determines the transmission Time period of the MBMS counting request message by using the MCCH update Time.
For the second specific implementation, in practical application, the DU entity needs to synchronize an MCCH modification period counter (which may be expressed as a modification period counter) with the CU entity, so that the CU sends an Information Element (IE) required for generating the UE-oriented MBMS count request message to the DU entity in a specified MCCH modification period-1 time period.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
receiving a number N sent by the CU entity; n is greater than or equal to 1; n is an integer;
correspondingly, in step 402, when the DU entity determines the sending time period of the MBMS counting request message, the current MCCH modification period and N are used to determine that the MCCH modification period for sending the MBMS counting request message is the next nth MCCH modification period of the current MCCH modification period.
In actual application, the sending time period may be an MCCH modification period during which the MBMS counting request message is sent to the terminal, that is, the DU entity determines in which MCCH modification period the MBMS counting request message is sent to the terminal.
In an embodiment, the method may further comprise:
receiving first information sent by the CU entity; the first information is used for generating an MBMS counting request message; the first information is sent by the CU entity in a first time period; the first time period characterizes a MCCH modification period minus N time period for sending the MBMS counting request message.
In an embodiment, the method may further comprise:
synchronizing the counters with the CU entities; the counter is used for recording the number of the MCCH modification periods which are currently experienced.
In actual application, during synchronization, the DU entity sends a synchronization request to the CU entity through an F1 interface, and at this time, the value of the current counter and/or the time interval (which may be understood as a modification period interval) of each counter transition may be sent to the CU entity; after receiving the synchronization request sent by the DU entity, the CU entity feeds back a success or failure message to the DU entity.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the synchronizing the counter with the CU entity of the access network includes:
sending the counter synchronization request to the CU entity; the synchronization request carries the related information of the counter;
receiving a synchronization success result fed back by the CU entity aiming at the synchronization request; wherein the content of the first and second substances,
the related information comprises at least one of:
the value of the counter;
the time interval of each counter transition.
In practical applications, in order to count the number of UEs requiring a certain MBMS service in a finer area, the finer area information counted by the DU entity may be informed.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
receiving area information corresponding to the SSB sent by the CU entity;
accordingly, in step 403, the DU entity sends an MBMS counting request message to the terminals in the area corresponding to the area information.
During actual application, the CU entity sends area information corresponding to the SSB to the DU entity; the area information is used for the DU entity to determine the terminal that sends the MBMS counting request message.
Here, in practical application, the CU entity needs to know the fine area that needs to be counted.
Based on this, in an embodiment, the method may further include:
and the CU entity receives the area information corresponding to the SSB sent by the MCE.
Here, in actual application, the MCE may carry the area information corresponding to the SSB in the MBMS service counting request and send the area information to the CU entity.
In the processing method based on the MBMS provided by the embodiment of the invention, a DU entity generates MBMS counting request information; determining a transmission time period of an MBMS counting request message; and transmitting an MBMS counting request message to the terminal in the determined transmission time period, generating an MBMS counting request facing the terminal by the DU entity, and transmitting the MBMS counting request to the terminal, thus realizing the MBMS counting process under the CU-DU architecture.

a first generating unit 51 for generating an MBMS counting request message;
a first sending unit 52, configured to send an MBMS counting request message to a DU entity of an access network, and send an MCCH update Time to the DU entity; the sent MCCH update Time is used for the DU entity to determine the Time period for sending the MBMS counting request message to the terminal.
