Description

Palm-closing glue for PETG heat shrinkable film label
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of processing of film labels for beverage bottles, in particular to palm-folding glue suitable for PETG heat shrinkable film material labels.
Background
PVC heat shrinkage films are used for printing, labeling, labels and other plastic films for packaging beverage bottles, but PVC is easy to generate virulent dioxin in recovery, has defects in environmental protection, and is gradually prohibited from being used for packaging in food and beverage industries. PETG is a modified copolyester, is a non-crystalline polyester, and has the characteristics of toughness, weather resistance, chemical resistance, environmental protection, economy and the like. And thus is used as a replacement for PVC film label stock. The PETG heat shrinkable film material is used as a film label, has the characteristics of no toxicity, no odor, high strength, high heat shrinkage, attractive packaging effect and the like, and has the greatest advantage of heat shrinkage performance and good optical performance and mechanical extensibility.
Before the film label is pasted on the bottle body, two ends (palm surfaces) of the film label need to be butted and adhered together, and the process is called palm folding. The common palm folding process is a process of uniformly coating glue on a palm folding surface by a palm folding machine and then synthesizing a flaky single-layer heat-shrinkable film into a cylindrical barrel material. The glue is an important material in the palm folding process, and the PETG palm folding glue is mainly used for tightly combining the large edge and the small edge at the palm folding position by dissolving the surface of a PETG heat shrinkage film and then combining the dissolved high polymer bodies through the pressure of a compression roller by means of the tension between the dissolved high polymer bodies. In order to meet the production requirement, the dissolving performance of the palm folding glue needs to be adjusted according to the stability of the PETG film, so that palm folding position wrinkles and adhesion caused by excessive dissolution of the palm folding glue on the film or palm folding bonding strength infirmity caused by insufficient dissolving performance of the palm folding glue are avoided, meanwhile, the volatilization performance of the palm folding glue meets the requirement of high-speed production, and quality problems such as internal glue overflow or external glue overflow are avoided.
CN 109897567A discloses PETG heat shrinkable film palm folding glue suitable for a high-speed palm folding machine, which is prepared by mixing the following components: 1, 4-dioxane, 1, 3-dioxolane and ethyl acetate; the volume ratio of the components in the mixing process is as follows: 52-58% of 1, 4-dioxane, 32-38% of 1, 3-dioxolane and 8-12% of ethyl acetate; the running speed of the high-speed palm folding machine is as follows: 300-450 m/min; the transverse shrinkage rate of the PETG heat shrinkable film is as follows: 55 to 65 percent.
However, the 1, 4-dioxane of the prior art has carcinogenicity, is harmful to human bodies, and is not suitable for being used as a palm-close glue in practice. Moreover, 1, 4-dioxane has a low melting point/freezing point, and cannot be normally used in autumn and winter with low room temperature. In addition, if 1, 4-dioxane is removed and 1, 3-dioxolane is used alone, the palm-closed part is over-corroded by inspection, and the phenomena of internal glue overflow and external glue overflow are easy to occur.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the application is to provide a palm-folding glue for PETG heat shrinkable film labels, so as to reduce or avoid the problems mentioned above.
In order to solve the technical problems, the application provides a palm-closing glue for a PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) heat shrinkable film label, which is used for being coated on one end surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film label to form a palm-closing adhesive layer, and the other end of the PETG heat shrinkable film label covers the outer side of the palm-closing adhesive layer, so that two ends of the PETG heat shrinkable film label are adhered together; wherein, the palm folding glue is prepared by mixing the following components: 1, 3-Dioxolane (DXL), Tetrahydrofuran (THF), Ethylene Oxide (EO).
Preferably, the volume ratio of the components of the palm close glue when mixed is as follows: 75-80% of 1, 3-dioxolane, 20-23% of tetrahydrofuran and 2-8% of ethylene oxide.
Preferably, a base coat is coated on the surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film label for coating the palm folding glue in advance, and the palm folding adhesive layer is formed on the surface of the base coat.
Preferably, the primer layer comprises the following components: acrylic resin, polydimethylsiloxane, ethanolamine surface etching agent, melamine curing agent and ether solvent.

Detailed Description
In order to more clearly understand the technical features, objects, and effects of the present application, embodiments of the present application will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Wherein like parts are given like reference numerals.
As shown in fig. 1, which shows a schematic drawing of a PETG heat shrinkable film label suitable for the present invention, wherein reference numeral 1 denotes the PETG heat shrinkable film label of the present invention, a surface of one end of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 is coated with a half-folded adhesive layer 2 formed by half-folded glue, the other end of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 covers the outside of the half-folded adhesive layer 2, and then both ends of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 are bonded together by a pressure roller.
The part of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 with two ends bonded together is commonly called as a palm surface in the industry, and the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 at the palm surface position is easy to be wrinkled, bonded or bonded with a bottle body by glue overflowing or the glue overflowing to paste characters or patterns outside the label to influence the mark and the attractiveness.
Based on the problem of the palm closing glue in the prior art, the invention provides the palm closing glue for the PETG heat shrinkable film label, which is prepared by mixing the following components: 1, 3-Dioxolane (DXL), Tetrahydrofuran (THF), Ethylene Oxide (EO); the volume ratio of the components in the mixing process is as follows: 75-80% of 1, 3-dioxolane, 20-23% of tetrahydrofuran and 2-8% of ethylene oxide. The palm folding glue can be used for uniformly coating the mixed glue on the palm folding surface through a palm folding machine commonly used in the field, and quickly closing the palm to bond the end part of the PETG heat shrinkable film label.
As mentioned in the background of the invention, the palm-folding glue disclosed in CN 109897567 a is 1, 4-dioxane which is not suitable for labels of beverage bottles due to toxicity, and if DXL is used alone, the palm-folding position will be wrinkled due to too strong corrosion, and the glue overflow phenomenon will occur easily. The invention adopts the matching of DXL and THF to neutralize the volatilization speed and relieve the dissolution of DXL on the surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film so as to obtain the balanced bonding strength and avoid wrinkles. Because DXL and THF are five-membered cyclic ether, the ring tension is small, and the compatibility is very good. Experiments show that DXL and THF have very similar solubility parameters, and the volatilization data of the DXL and the THF can be mutually adjusted. In addition, a small amount of EO is introduced to initiate local ring opening, so that the rapid bonding of glue is promoted, and the phenomena of internal glue overflow and external glue overflow can be effectively prevented. Meanwhile, a small amount of EO can also play a role in sterilization and disinfection, so that the palm-closed surface is prevented from mildewing.
The corresponding test physical parameters for DXL and THF are shown in the following table.
Physical Properties Unit of DXL THF DXL (90% by volume): THF (10% by volume)
Solubility parameter (cal/cm3)1/2 10.5 9.3 10.2
Speed of volatilization Butyl acetate ═ 1 3.5 6.3 4.3
Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of a close-up of a PETG heat shrink film label according to one embodiment of the present application. In the illustrated embodiment, a bottom coating layer 3 is coated on the surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 for coating the palm-folding glue in advance, and a palm-folding adhesive layer 2 formed by the palm-folding glue is formed on the surface of the bottom coating layer 3.
The undercoat layer 3 contains the following components: acrylic resin, polydimethylsiloxane, ethanolamine surface etching agent, melamine curing agent and ether solvent.
The ethanolamine surface etching agent can degrade and erode the outer surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 to a certain extent, so that the flatness of the outer surface of the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 is reduced, and the palm-closed adhesive layer 2 and the PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 can be firmly combined; and the ethanolamine is easy to decompose gas in the solidification process of the palm folding glue, so that the palm folding bonding layer 2 can form a fluffy and porous structure, and the glue overflow is avoided. The acrylic resin has hydrophilicity, and is further emulsified by a polydimethylsiloxane surfactant to promote the rapid forming of the coating. Melamine is not moisture sensitive and has a better affinity for silanes than other curing agents.
In one embodiment, primer layer 3 of the present invention comprises 60-90 parts by weight of acrylic resin, 1-2 parts by weight of polydimethylsiloxane, 10-15 parts by weight of ethanolamine, 1-2 parts by weight of melamine, and 50-80 parts by weight of diethyl ether.
The primer layer 3 of the present invention can be prepared by the following steps: uniformly mixing 60-90 parts by weight of acrylic resin, 1-2 parts by weight of polydimethylsiloxane, 10-15 parts by weight of ethanolamine, 1-2 parts by weight of melamine and 50-80 parts by weight of ether, coating the mixture on the end surface of a PETG heat shrinkable film label 1 in a spraying mode, and rapidly curing the mixture at normal temperature for 5-10 seconds to obtain a primer layer 3 with the thickness of 3-5 mu m.
The bottom coating 3 of the invention is very favorable for being tightly combined with palm-folding glue because of larger surface activity, thereby avoiding the glue from separating and preventing glue from overflowing.
In conclusion, the palm-closing glue disclosed by the invention is convenient to mix, low in toxicity, high in safety and remarkable in palm-closing bonding effect, is suitable for high-speed palm-closing bonding of PETG heat shrinkable film labels, and does not have the phenomena of internal glue overflow and external glue overflow.
