Abstract
The invention discloses a low-orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area, and belongs to the technical field of low-orbit satellite mobile communication. The method provides a system routing area planned based on a ground area in the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, and maps the routing area to a satellite link for paging through the routing area number, thereby solving the problem of huge signaling overhead caused by frequent routing area updating of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system. The method can be applied to the mobility management process of the low-orbit satellite mobile communication system, can effectively optimize the updating flow of the system routing area, reduce the air interface load and obviously improve the utilization rate of air interface resources.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a low-orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area, and belongs to the technical field of low-orbit satellite mobile communication.
Background
In a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, a satellite moves at a high speed along a predetermined orbit, and frequent handover between the satellite and a terminal, i.e., frequent handover of a beam on which the terminal resides, occurs even though the satellite terminal remains stationary.
According to the traditional mobility management process, routing area planning is bound with beams, when the resident beams of the terminal change, the routing area changes, and the terminal initiates a routing area updating process. If the mobility management of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system refers to the traditional processing mode, the terminal will perform the route area updating process very frequently, which not only affects the use efficiency of the terminal, but also affects the utilization rate of the air interface resources of the system.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of this, the present invention provides a low earth orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area, which can reduce the update frequency of the routing area in the mobility management process of a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, thereby reducing the overhead of air interface signaling.
The purpose of the invention is realized as follows:
a low earth orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area is characterized by comprising the following steps:
(1) dividing routing areas in a low-earth satellite mobile communication system according to a ground area, and distributing a globally unique number to each routing area, wherein the geographic range of the routing area is fixed and does not change along with the movement of a satellite;
(2) when the terminal is started, or the position of the terminal changes to cause the updating of the routing area, or after the time-out of a periodic routing area updating timer, the terminal initiates a routing area updating process and carries the serial number of the routing area to which the terminal belongs to a network side;
(3) the network side of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system receives and stores the routing area number of the terminal carried in the updating of the routing area, and then sends a successful message of the updating of the routing area to the terminal side;
(4) when a paging message needs to be sent at the network side of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, the number of the routing area is searched according to the identity of the paged terminal, and then a satellite link is selected according to the number to send the paging message.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following advantages:
1. the invention provides a brand-new routing area division method, is used for paging in a mobile communication system, and can be well adapted to the scene of high-speed satellite operation of a low-orbit satellite mobile communication system.
2. On the basis of a routing area division method based on ground planning, the invention provides a method for paging according to the mapping of routing areas to satellite links in the mobility management process, thereby greatly reducing the updating frequency of the routing areas, reducing the overhead of air interface signaling and improving the utilization rate of wireless resources.

Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention will be further described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and the detailed description.
A low earth orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area is applied to the application scene of a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system shown in figure 1. The scene includes a satellite mobile terminal, a low orbit satellite and a gateway station. The low orbit satellite is transparently transferred, and the routing area updating process between the terminal and the gateway station transfers the message through the low orbit satellite.
The specific process of the method is shown in fig. 2, and comprises the following steps:
(1) the routing area division based on ground planning is carried out, the specific division rule is not limited, the routing area division and the numbering can be carried out according to administrative areas of the city, the block division and the numbering can be carried out according to the longitude and the latitude, and other division rules and the numbering can be carried out;
(2) after the terminal is started, or the routing area to which the terminal belongs is changed, or the periodic routing area updating timer is overtime, the terminal initiates a routing area updating application to the network side, and the application message carries the routing area number to which the terminal belongs;
the method can reduce the updating frequency of the routing area in the process of mobility management and achieve the purpose of reducing the overhead of air interface signaling.
(3) The network side receives the updating application of the terminal routing area, records the information of the routing area to which the terminal belongs after updating, and is used for the subsequent paging process;
(4) when the network side needs to page the terminal, the routing area number is searched according to the identity of the paged terminal, and then the satellite link is selected according to the number to send the paging message.
The method provides a method for planning a system routing area based on a ground area in a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system and paging by taking the system routing area as a basic means, and solves the problem of huge signaling overhead caused by frequent routing area updating of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system.
In summary, the invention creatively provides a method for paging based on ground routing area planning based on a mobility management process, which can be applied to the mobility management process of a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, can effectively optimize the updating process of the routing area of the system, reduce the air interface load and obviously improve the utilization rate of air interface resources.

1. A low earth orbit satellite communication paging method based on a ground planning routing area is characterized by comprising the following steps:
(1) dividing routing areas in a low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system according to a ground area, and distributing a globally unique number for each routing area, wherein the divided routing areas have fixed geographic ranges and do not change along with the movement of a satellite;
(2) when the terminal is started, or the position of the terminal changes to cause the updating of the routing area, or after the time-out of a periodic routing area updating timer, the terminal initiates a routing area updating process and carries the serial number of the routing area to which the terminal belongs to a network side;
(3) the network side of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system receives and stores the routing area number of the terminal carried in the updating of the routing area, and then sends a successful message of the updating of the routing area to the terminal side;
(4) when a paging message needs to be sent at the network side of the low earth orbit satellite mobile communication system, the number of the routing area is searched according to the identity of the paged terminal, and then a satellite link is selected according to the number to send the paging message.
