Abstract
The invention discloses a quadrangular drill rod and a processing method thereof, wherein the hole forming rate and the concentricity are ensured by arranging a plurality of edges, the problem that a drill rod is abraded too fast and a drilling machine rotator is easy to damage is avoided by utilizing the edges extending in a large spiral manner, hole collapse is avoided, and the phenomena of drill sticking and drill holding of a soft coal seam are reduced; the spiral chip groove extending through the big spiral ensures rapid slag discharge by utilizing the characteristics of large pitch and continuous rotating speed of the spiral chip groove; the small bulge protruding towards the direction of the arc surface is formed by the two first inclined surfaces and the second inclined surface, so that broken slag in the spiral chip discharge groove is discharged quickly, the phenomenon of drill jamming caused by blockage of a slag discharge channel is avoided, and simultaneously, the hole wall of a drilled hole is formed well.

The drill rod is one of the indispensable tools of coal seam gas extraction drill rod, but the following problems of current drill rod ubiquitous: firstly, the drill rod is worn quickly; secondly, the slag discharging is difficult, the blocking and drill jamming conditions of the slag discharging channel often occur, the drill rod is very easy to cause the incapability of rotating, the deep hole drilling is difficult to carry out, and the working efficiency is greatly influenced.
