The invention discloses a device and a method for synchronously turning on and turning off a double-screen advertising machine, wherein the device comprises a main control board and a controlled board, wherein two IO ports are configured on the main control board and are respectively used as an input IO port and an output IO port; correspondingly, two IO ports are configured on the controlled board to be used as an input IO port and an output IO port respectively; and connecting the output IO port of the main control board with the input IO port of the controlled board, and connecting the input IO port of the main control board with the output IO port of the controlled board. The output IO port of the main control board and the output IO port of the controlled board are both provided with pull-up resistors. The method comprises a hardware design scheme and a software design scheme; the hardware design scheme comprises the device; the software design scheme comprises a starting-up process: after the power is on, the main control panel sets the output IO port to be high level, waits for the controlled panel to start and receives the feedback signal of the controlled panel to synchronously open the main display screen and the auxiliary display screen. The invention solves the problem that the dual-system dual-screen advertisement player cannot be synchronously started and shut down, and improves the user experience.
