case 1, the client provides 1 cycle parameter to the UE: when the client triggers the periodic deferred location request process, 1 period parameter (i.e. the above target period) is sent to the UE, and the UE reports the location according to the period parameter.
Specifically, when the client of the location service determines to adjust the period of the location report, the client sends a request to the GMLC, and a message carries a new location report period (i.e., the target period). The GMLC sends the LDR (Location referred Request) index number and the new Location reporting period to the AMF, which sends this information to the UE. The UE reports the location to the network using the new location reporting period.
Case 2, the client provides 2 period parameters to the UE: when the client triggers a periodic deferred location request procedure, 2 period parameters are sent to the UE, one of which is used in the normal mode and the other is used in the power saving mode.
Specifically, when the mode needs to be changed, the client sends a new mode to the GMLC, the GMLC sends the mode to the AMF, and the AMF sends it to the UE. The UE uses the periodicity corresponding to the pattern.
In the embodiment of the invention: if the period of the location report (i.e., the above-mentioned target period) and the length of the periodic registration update timer are the same, the UE may transmit location information to the AMF when performing the registration update procedure, and the AMF transmits the information to the LMF or the GMLC. Specifically, the location information is carried in the registration update information and sent.
The following specifically exemplifies the scheme provided by the embodiment of the present invention.
Example 1
This example introduces a method for a client to send information for adjusting a location reporting period to a UE, and the process is as shown in fig. 5, and includes:
step 51: the AF or client sends a location request to the GMLC, the message including the GPSI, the request type, information to adjust the location reporting period. Where the value of the request type is a periodic location report.
Step 52: the GMLC transmits a Namf _ Location _ providepositioning _ info Request to the AMF, and the message includes SUPI, a Request type, and information for adjusting a Location reporting period.
Step 53: the AMF returns Namf _ Location _ providepositioning info Response to the GMLC, to which it confirms that the request message was received.

Example two
This example introduces the information to adjust the location reporting period in example one.
This information includes < time interval, validity condition >, and when the validity condition is satisfied, the UE uses the time interval corresponding thereto (i.e., the above-mentioned target period).
Wherein the effective conditions can be as follows: the status of the UE (e.g., stationary, moving), the speed or speed range of the UE (e.g., less than 30 kilometers per hour), the safety range (e.g., school, cell), etc.
For example:
the time intervals are as follows: 10 s; the effective conditions are as follows: the UE speed is more than 30km/h or the UE is outside a school or the UE is outside a cell and the like;
the time intervals are as follows: 300 s; the effective conditions are as follows: the UE is in a school or in a cell or is static or the moving speed of the UE is less than 10km/h and the like.
Specific examples thereof are:
the smart watch of student a periodically sends location information to the phone of its parent. The information configured in the smart watch is as follows:
the time interval is 300s, and the effective condition is in the school; the time interval is 10s, and the effective condition is outside the school.
Student a is on the way from home to school, and student a's smart watch reports location information to his parent's cell phone every 10 s. After student a entered school, the smartwatch reports location information to his parent's cell phone every 300 s.
In the embodiment of the invention, the UE can acquire the speed of the UE, and the UE can judge whether the UE is located in a school or a cell according to the current position of the UE. The validity condition may also include information of the security zone, such as the range of a school, the range of a cell, etc.
Example three
This example introduces an LMF or GMLC to determine whether the behavior of the UE conforms to the information provided by the client to adjust the location reporting period, and to perform different operations according to the determination result.
After receiving the location information reported by the UE, the LMF or the GMLC stores the location information of the UE, and then judges whether the UE acts normally according to the historical location information of the UE and the information for adjusting the location reporting period. If the abnormal condition exists, the LMF or the GMLC carries out different treatments according to different abnormal conditions. Examples are as follows:
1. the LMF or the GMLC finds that the time that the UE stays in the same location exceeds a certain time according to the location information reported by the UE, for example, the distance between the locations continuously reported by the UE for multiple times does not exceed n meters, the specific times and the size of n may be pre-configured in the LMF or the GMLC, or may be set by the LCS client and provided to the LMF or the GMLC, or may be a static value, for example, the distance between the locations continuously reported for 5 times does not exceed 10 meters. And the LMF or the GMLC judges that when the time of the UE staying at the same position is overtime according to the information for adjusting the position reporting period, the UE needs to report the position by using a longer period, but the UE still uses a shorter period to report the position, and the LMF or the GMLC considers that the UE is abnormal in behavior. The LMF or GMLC discards the UE location information and sends a request message (i.e., the above-mentioned period adjustment request information) to the UE, where the message includes the location reporting period to be used. After the UE receives the message, the UE reports the location to the network using the location reporting period.
2. The LMF or the GMLC finds that the UE moves out of a safe area (such as a school and a cell) according to the position reported by the UE, but the UE still uses a longer period to report the position, and the LMF or the GMLC judges that the UE needs to use a shorter period to report the position at the moment according to the information for adjusting the position reporting period. The LMF or the GMLC considers the UE abnormal behavior. The LMF or the GMLC transmits a request message (i.e., the above-mentioned period adjustment request information) including a location reporting period required to be used to the UE. After the UE receives the message, the UE reports the location to the network using the location reporting period.
Example four
This example introduces that the client decides to adjust (e.g., increase or decrease) the location reporting period according to the UE location, e.g., the client decides to increase the location reporting period when the UE enters a safe area (e.g., school, cell) or the UE is stationary according to the location information of the UE; the client judges that the UE leaves a safety area or the moving speed of the UE exceeds a certain threshold value according to the position information of the UE, and the client decides to reduce the position reporting period.
The process of sending the adjusted location reporting period to the UE by the client is shown in fig. 6, and includes:
step 61: the AF or client sends a location request to the GMLC, the message including the GPSI, location reporting period.
Step 62: the GMLC transmits a Namf _ Location _ providepositioning _ info Request to the AMF, the message including a Location reporting period.
And step 63: the AMF returns Namf _ Location _ providepositioning info Response to the GMLC, to which it confirms that the request message was received.
Step 64: the AMF sends a Nlmf _ Location _ DetermineLocation Request message to the LMF, wherein the message comprises a Location report period.
Step 65: the LMF sends LCS Periodic-trigger Invoke Request to the UE and sends a position report period to the UE.

In this example, the client, upon initiating a periodically deferred location request, sends a plurality of location reporting periods, e.g., periods in normal mode and periods in power save mode, period 1, period 2, etc., to the UE. The specific process is shown in fig. 7, and includes:
step 71: the AF or client sends a location request to the GMLC, the message including the GPSI, request type, location reporting period 1, location reporting period 2. Where the value of the request type is a periodic location report. The location reporting period 1 or the location reporting period 2 may also be a period in the normal mode or a period in the power saving mode.
Step 72: the GMLC transmits a Namf _ Location _ providepotioninginfo Request to the AMF, and the message includes SUPI, Request type, Location reporting period 1, and Location reporting period 2.

When the client determines to change the position report period according to the position information reported by the UE, the client indicates the period of the position report which needs to be used to the UE through the following process. As shown in fig. 8, includes:

Example six
This example introduces the UE sending location information to the network through a registration procedure.
To save signalling overhead, power consumption is reduced. The client or network may set the periodicity of the location reports to a timer for periodic registration updates.
When the period of the location report discovered by the UE is the same as the duration of the periodic registration update timer, the UE carries the location information in the registration request message when initiating the registration process. The specific process is shown in fig. 9, and includes:
step 91: and the UE sends a registration update message to the AMF, wherein the message carries the UE position information, the GMLC address and the LDR index number.
And step 92: the AMF sends Ngmlc _ event notification Ngmlc _ EventNotification (carrying UE location information, LDR index number) to the GMLC.
Where GMLC is a served network function, the names of all services it provides begin with Ngmlc.
The AMF may also send UE location information to the GMLC through the LMF, specifically as shown in fig. 10, including:
step 101: UE sends register update message to AMF, where the message carries positioning message, GMLC address, LDR index number, and deferred route identifier.
Step 102: and the AMF sends Namf _ Communication _ N1MessageNotify (Namf _ Communication _ N1message notification) to the LMF, wherein the message comprises a positioning message, a GMLC address and an LDR index number.
The AMF is a served network function, and names of all services provided by the AMF start with Namf.
Step 103: if the UE does not provide the position information in the positioning message, the LMF initiates the UE positioning process to acquire the position of the UE.
Step 104: and the LMF sends an Ngmlc-EventNotification message to the GMLC, wherein the message carries the UE position information and the LDR index number.
As can be seen from the above, the solution provided by the embodiment of the present invention involves:
1. the client sends the period of reporting the position information or the information of adjusting the position reporting period to the UE, and the UE dynamically adjusts the period of reporting the position information according to the information provided by the client.
2. Specifically, based on 1, the client sends information for adjusting the location reporting period to the UE, and the UE dynamically adjusts the location reporting period according to the information.
3. Based on 2, the LMF or the GMLC judges whether the UE reports the position according to the information provided by the client, if the UE acts abnormally, the LMF or the GMLC requests the UE to report the position by using a correct period.
4. Specifically, based on 1, the client sends a plurality of periods of location reports to the UE, and the client determines which period to use according to the situation of the location reported by the UE and sends the period to the UE.
5. Specifically, based on 1, the client determines to change the period of reporting the location according to the location information of the UE, and the client sends the location reporting period to be used to the UE.
6. Specifically, based on 1, the location reporting period sent by the client to the UE is the same as the duration of the periodic registration update timer.
7. Based on 6, the UE sends location information to the network in a registration update procedure.
In summary, the scheme provided by the embodiment of the present invention can dynamically adjust the reporting period according to the state and the location of the UE, and solve the problem of large power consumption of the terminal due to a fixed location reporting period.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a network device, as shown in fig. 11, including a memory 111, a processor 112, a transceiver 113, and a computer program 114 stored on the memory 111 and operable on the processor 112; the processor 112, when executing the program, performs the following operations:
transmitting the adjustment information to the terminal through the transceiver 113;
wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period.
The network equipment provided by the embodiment of the invention sends the adjustment information to the terminal; wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period; the method and the device can realize dynamic adjustment of the position reporting period of the terminal, avoid electric energy waste caused by reporting the position by the UE in a fixed period, and well solve the problem that the electric energy of the UE is wasted by a mechanism for reporting the position periodically in the prior art.
Regarding the terminal to adjust the position report period, the embodiment of the present invention provides two specific implementation measures: the first measure is as follows: the terminal automatically adjusts according to the conditions; and step two: the terminal passively adjusts according to a target period issued by the network equipment;
for the first measure, the adjustment information includes a first trigger condition for adjusting the location reporting period and a corresponding target period.
Further, the operations further comprise: after the adjustment information is sent to the terminal, the position information sent by the terminal is received through the transceiver; under the condition that the position information is detected to meet a third trigger condition for adjusting the position reporting period, obtaining an updated target period according to the current position reporting period of the terminal; and sending a period adjustment request message to the terminal through the transceiver according to the updated target period, wherein the period adjustment request message carries the updated target period.
Aiming at the second measure, the adjustment information comprises target parameters; the target parameter is used for indicating a target period; the operation specifically comprises the following steps: and under the condition that a second trigger condition for adjusting the position reporting period is detected to be met, transmitting a target parameter corresponding to the second trigger condition to the terminal through the transceiver.
Specifically, the target parameter includes a target period, or the target parameter includes an index of the target period.
In the embodiment of the invention, the target period is the same as the time length of the periodic registration updating timer; the operations further include: after the adjustment information is sent to the terminal, receiving registration updating information sent by the terminal through the transceiver; and acquiring the position information of the terminal from the registration updating information.
The implementation embodiments of the location reporting period adjustment method on the network device side are all applicable to the embodiment of the network device, and the same technical effect can be achieved.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a terminal, as shown in fig. 12, including a memory 121, a processor 122, a transceiver 123, and a computer program 124 stored on the memory 121 and executable on the processor 122; the processor 122, when executing the program, performs the following operations:
receiving, by the transceiver 123, adjustment information sent by a network device; wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period;
and adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information.
The terminal provided by the embodiment of the invention receives the adjustment information sent by the network equipment; wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period; adjusting a position reporting period according to the adjustment information; the method and the device can realize dynamic adjustment of the position reporting period of the terminal, avoid electric energy waste caused by reporting the position by the UE in a fixed period, and well solve the problem that the electric energy of the UE is wasted by a mechanism for reporting the position periodically in the prior art.

Claims (27)

1. A method for adjusting a location reporting period is applied to a network device, and is characterized by comprising the following steps:
sending adjustment information to a terminal;
wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the adjustment information includes a first trigger condition for adjusting the location reporting period and a corresponding target period.
3. The method of claim 2, further comprising, after sending the adjustment information to the terminal:
receiving the position information sent by the terminal;

and sending periodic adjustment request information to the terminal according to the updated target period, wherein the periodic adjustment request information carries the updated target period.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the adjustment information includes a target parameter; the target parameter is used for indicating a target period;
the sending of the adjustment information to the terminal includes:
and when detecting that a second trigger condition for adjusting the position reporting period is met, sending a target parameter corresponding to the second trigger condition to the terminal.
5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the target parameter comprises a target period, or the target parameter comprises an index of a target period.
6. The method according to any one of claims 2 to 5, wherein the target period is the same as the duration of the periodic registration update timer;
after the adjustment information is sent to the terminal, the method further comprises the following steps:
receiving registration updating information sent by the terminal;
and acquiring the position information of the terminal from the registration updating information.
7. A method for adjusting a position report period is applied to a terminal, and is characterized by comprising the following steps:
receiving adjustment information sent by network equipment; wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period;
and adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information.
8. The method according to claim 7, wherein the adjustment information includes a first trigger condition for adjusting the location reporting period and a corresponding target period;
the adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information includes:
and adjusting the position reporting period to a target period corresponding to the first trigger condition when the first trigger condition is detected to be met.
9. The method of claim 8, further comprising, after adjusting the location reporting period according to the adjustment information:
according to the adjusted position report period, sending the position information of the terminal to network equipment;
receiving periodic adjustment request information fed back by the network equipment according to the position information, wherein the periodic adjustment request information carries an updated target period;
and adjusting the position report period to the updated target period according to the period adjustment request information.
10. The method of claim 7, wherein the adjustment information includes a target parameter; the target parameter is used for indicating a target period;
the adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information includes:
determining a target period according to the target parameters;
adjusting a location reporting period to the target period.
11. The method according to claim 10, wherein the target parameter comprises a target period, or the target parameter comprises an index of a target period.
12. The method according to any one of claims 8 to 11, wherein the target period is the same as a duration of a periodic registration update timer;
after adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information, the method further comprises:
and carrying the position information of the terminal in the registration updating information and sending the registration updating information to the network equipment.
13. A network device comprising a memory, a processor, a transceiver, and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor; wherein the processor implements the following operations when executing the program:
sending adjustment information to a terminal through the transceiver;
wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period.
14. The network device of claim 13, wherein the adjustment information comprises a first trigger condition for adjusting a location reporting period and a corresponding target period.
15. The network device of claim 14, wherein the operations further comprise:
after the adjustment information is sent to the terminal, the position information sent by the terminal is received through the transceiver;
under the condition that the position information is detected to meet a third trigger condition for adjusting the position reporting period, obtaining an updated target period according to the current position reporting period of the terminal;
and sending a period adjustment request message to the terminal through the transceiver according to the updated target period, wherein the period adjustment request message carries the updated target period.
16. The network device of claim 13, wherein the adjustment information comprises a target parameter; the target parameter is used for indicating a target period;
the operation specifically comprises the following steps:
and under the condition that a second trigger condition for adjusting the position reporting period is detected to be met, transmitting a target parameter corresponding to the second trigger condition to the terminal through the transceiver.
17. The network device of claim 16, wherein the target parameter comprises a target period or an index of a target period.
18. The network device according to any of claims 14 to 17, wherein the target period is the same as a duration of a periodic registration update timer;
the operations further include:
after the adjustment information is sent to the terminal, receiving registration updating information sent by the terminal through the transceiver;
and acquiring the position information of the terminal from the registration updating information.
19. A terminal comprising a memory, a processor, a transceiver, and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor; wherein the processor implements the following operations when executing the program:
receiving, by the transceiver, adjustment information sent by a network device; wherein the adjustment information is used for instructing the terminal to adjust for a location reporting period;
and adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information.
20. The terminal of claim 19, wherein the adjustment information comprises a first trigger condition for adjusting for a location reporting period and a corresponding target period;
the operation specifically includes:
and adjusting the position reporting period to a target period corresponding to the first trigger condition when the first trigger condition is detected to be met.
21. The terminal of claim 20, wherein the operations further comprise:
after adjusting the position reporting period according to the adjustment information, sending the position information of the terminal to network equipment through the transceiver according to the adjusted position reporting period;
receiving, by the transceiver, periodic adjustment request information fed back by the network device according to the location information, where the periodic adjustment request information carries an updated target period;
and adjusting the position report period to the updated target period according to the period adjustment request information.
22. The terminal of claim 19, wherein the adjustment information comprises a target parameter; the target parameter is used for indicating a target period;
the operation specifically comprises the following steps:
determining a target period according to the target parameters;
adjusting a location reporting period to the target period.
23. The terminal of claim 22, wherein the target parameter comprises a target period, or wherein the target parameter comprises an index of a target period.
24. The terminal according to any of claims 20 to 23, wherein the target period is the same as the duration of a periodic registration update timer;
the operations further include:
