Background
With the wide application of OTN devices, the optical transmission device gradually realizes flexible access of the user end, and when the uplink port of the access device is not generally OTU1 or OUT2, the bandwidth of the management channel that can be provided by the overhead of the GCC is too low, which causes inconvenience to remote upgrade and maintenance of the remote device.
GCC: the General Communication Channel is a non-interference Channel for transmitting information between line-side interfaces of terminals, and has three overheads of GCC0, GCCl and GCC2, each overhead occupies two bytes. Wherein, GCC0 is located in the I row and the 11 th-12 th columns of OTUk overhead, GCC1 is located in the 4 th row and the 1 st-2 th columns of ODU overhead, and GCC2 is located in the 4 th row and the 3 rd-4 th columns of ODU overhead; see figure 1.
The current GCC overhead provides channel bandwidth as shown in figure 2,
when the remote device is upgraded remotely, the OTU1/2 interface GCC overhead provides a limited bandwidth for the management channel.
