Description

Electric quantity reminding method of handheld device
Technical Field
The invention relates to a handheld device, in particular to an electric quantity reminding method for the handheld device, which can timely send out reminding under the condition that the battery electric quantity of the handheld device is insufficient and the handheld device is in an idle state.
Background
Conventional handheld devices, such as bar code scanners, typically have rechargeable batteries disposed therein to provide power for the operation of various components within the handheld device. However, the charge of the rechargeable battery is limited, and if the charge of the rechargeable battery is lower than a set value (for example, 20% of the total charge of the battery) set by the handheld device, the handheld device will usually make a sound to remind the user to charge the handheld device. Under the general condition, the reminding sound only lasts for a short period of time, if a user does not find that the electric quantity of the battery of the handheld device is about to be exhausted in real time, the handheld device is allowed to operate continuously without charging the handheld device, and when the electric quantity of the battery is exhausted, the handheld device is directly caused to enter a shutdown state.
The above situation will be serious when a large number of handheld devices are tested on a production line, and testers on the production line inevitably forget the actual positions of the handheld devices, so that the testers are more difficult to find the handheld devices when the handheld devices are forgotten and enter a shutdown state.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, one of the objectives of the present invention is to improve the defect of the conventional power reminding method of the handheld device, and further provide a novel power reminding method to help a user to find a mobile phone in time when the power of the handheld device is insufficient, so as to remind the user to charge the handheld device.
Therefore, according to the following embodiments, a method for reminding an electric quantity of a handheld device is provided, where the handheld device includes a battery and a reminding unit, the battery is used to provide electric power for operating the handheld device, and the reminding unit can be controlled to send out a reminding signal, and the method for reminding an electric quantity of a handheld device includes: detecting the electric quantity of the battery; when the electric quantity of the battery is detected to be lower than the preset electric quantity, the using state of the handheld device is detected; and judging whether the service state of the handheld device is in an idle state and maintaining the idle state for more than idle time, if so, sending the reminding signal through the reminding unit, otherwise, not sending the reminding signal and continuously detecting the service state of the handheld device.
Therefore, when the battery power of the handheld device is lower than the preset power and the handheld device is in an idle state and exceeds the idle time, the handheld device sends out a reminding signal through the reminding unit to help a user to quickly find the handheld device under the condition that the power of the handheld device is insufficient and charge the handheld device, and the possibility that the handheld device is lost due to the fact that the power of the handheld device is too low and the handheld device is in a shutdown state is reduced.
In one aspect, the handheld device may be a bar code scanner, but is not so limited. The reminding device may be a speaker, but not limited thereto.
In another aspect, the handheld device further includes a gyroscope, and the handheld device detects the usage status of the handheld device through the gyroscope. One way to detect the usage status of the handheld device is to detect the pointing direction of the handheld device through a gyroscope and determine whether the handheld device maintains the same pointing direction within a predetermined time. If the judgment result is yes, the handheld device is defined to be in an idle state, and if the judgment result is no, the handheld device is defined to be in a non-idle state, wherein the idle time is longer than the preset time.
In another aspect, if the handheld device is determined to be in an idle state and the idle state is maintained for more than a set idle time, the handheld device continuously sends out a reminding signal through the reminding unit to remind the user to charge the handheld device.
In another aspect, after the handheld device sends the reminding signal, the method further comprises the following steps: and judging whether the reminding unit is closed or not, if so, stopping sending the reminding signal, otherwise, continuously sending the reminding signal, and reminding a user to charge the handheld device in time.

Detailed Description
To explain the technical features of the present invention in detail, the following embodiments are described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the present embodiment, a barcode scanner is taken as an example of the handheld device 10, please refer to fig. 1 first.
The barcode scanner may be provided with an arithmetic processing unit 11, a battery 12, a reminder device 13, and a gyroscope 14. The processor 11 is, for example, a microprocessor or other programmable general-purpose or special-purpose controller or the like. The arithmetic processing unit 11 is used for processing signals and is electrically connected with the gyroscope 14 and the reminding device 13. The battery 12 is a secondary battery, such as a lithium battery, for providing power to operate the various components within the hand-held device 10. The reminding device 13 is a speaker (speaker) in the embodiment, and the reminding device 13 can be controlled by the arithmetic processing unit 11 to emit a reminding signal in the form of sound. In addition, in order to achieve the scanning function of the barcode scanner, the barcode scanner further includes a scanner 15, a memory 16, and a display unit 17 (e.g., a touch screen), which are electrically connected to the arithmetic processing unit 11.
The following describes details of each step of the power reminding method, please refer to fig. 2 and fig. 3 in combination.
Step S1: and starting the steps. The handheld device 10 is turned on, so that the handheld device 10 is in a power-on and normal operation state.
Step S2 is performed after step S1. Step S2: the handheld device 10 detects and obtains the current charge of the battery 12. The handheld device 10 detects the charge of the battery 12 through a detection circuit.
After step S2, step S3 is performed, step S3: the processing unit 11 determines whether the detected power of the battery 12 is lower than a predetermined power, which can be manually set by a user, in this embodiment, the predetermined power is set to 50% of the maximum storable power of the battery 12. If the detected battery 12 is lower than the predetermined power level, step S4 is executed, and if the detected battery 12 is higher than the predetermined power level, step S2 is executed to continue detecting the power level of the battery 12.
Step S4: the specific steps of detecting the usage status of the handheld device 10 can be divided into steps S4.1 to S4.4 (see fig. 3). In step S4.1, the handheld device 10 detects the pointing direction of the handheld device 10 through the gyroscope 14. In a typical situation, if a user holds and uses the handheld device 10, the user may change the orientation of the handheld device 10 (e.g., flip the handheld device 10) according to the actual usage situation. Then, step S4.2 is executed to determine whether the handheld device 10 maintains the same pointing direction for a predetermined time. Specifically, the arithmetic processing unit 11 determines whether the pointing direction of the handheld device 10 is changed within a preset time (for example, 10 minutes) of the handheld device 10 according to the obtained pointing direction of the handheld device 10. If the handheld device 10 maintains the same orientation for a predetermined time, the handheld device 10 is defined to be in an idle state (step S4.3), and if the orientation of the handheld device 10 is changed for the predetermined time, the handheld device 10 is defined to be in a non-idle state (step S4.4).
After step S4, step S5 is performed. Step S5: the arithmetic processing unit 11 determines whether the handheld device 10 is in an idle state and exceeds an idle time. The length of the idle time can be set by the user, in this embodiment, the idle time is set to 30 minutes, if the handheld device 10 is in an idle state and exceeds 30 minutes, step S6 is entered, otherwise, step S4 is returned to.
Step S6: the arithmetic processing unit 11 controls the reminding device 13 to send out reminding signals. In this embodiment, the reminding device 13 is controlled to continuously make a sound, so as to remind the user to charge the handheld device 10.
Step S6 is followed by step S7. Step S7: judging whether the reminding device 13 is turned off by the user, if so, entering the step S8, and finishing all the steps; otherwise, returning to step S6, the reminding device 13 continuously sends out the reminding signal.
Through the above steps, when the electric quantity of the battery 12 of the handheld device 10 is lower than the preset electric quantity, and the handheld device 10 is in the idle state for longer than the idle time, the handheld device 10 will immediately send out a reminding signal through the reminding unit to help the user quickly find the handheld device 10, and charge the handheld device 10, thereby effectively reducing the possibility that the handheld device 10 is lost due to the fact that the electric quantity is too low and the handheld device 10 is in the power-off state.
The examples listed above are intended to illustrate possible implementations of examples of the invention, which are not limited to the embodiments exemplified above, but rather should be construed to cover modifications and variations within the scope of the inventive concept disclosed herein.
