The invention provides a waterproof shell which is used for packaging a circuit board, wherein the circuit board is provided with an antenna, the waterproof shell comprises a metal shell, a non-metal end cover and a sealing rubber ring, the metal shell is provided with a first accommodating space and a first opening which are communicated, the first accommodating space is used for accommodating at least part of the circuit board, the antenna is adjacent to the first opening, the non-metal end cover is used for completely covering the first opening and forms a closed box body with the metal shell, an annular arrangement part extends out of the end surface of the non-metal end cover, the annular arrangement part is accommodated in the first accommodating space when the non-metal end cover completely covers the first opening, the sealing rubber ring is arranged on the annular arrangement part of the non-metal end cover in a surrounding mode, and the joint of the metal shell.

Waterproof case
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a waterproof housing, and more particularly, to a waterproof housing with high reliability and high sealing strength for packaging an antenna.
Background
In order to prevent the electronic components disposed in the housing from being damaged, the electronic components of the electronic device with wireless function are protected by a metal housing. However, the metal casing blocks the operation of the wireless function, so that the wireless transmission signal of the antenna is difficult to be transmitted from the inside of the casing to the outside of the casing. In order to facilitate the transmission of the wireless transmission signal of the antenna, the conventional method is to cut the metal casing and add a non-metal cover at the cut position, so that the wireless transmission signal of the antenna can be transmitted to the outside of the casing through the cover. However, if the electronic device is disposed in an outdoor environment, it is necessary to consider that the electronic device needs to prevent the intrusion of rainwater or other liquids to prevent the rainwater or other liquids from damaging the electronic components disposed in the housing, and the traditional method of covering the cut portion of the metal housing with the non-metal material tends to generate a gap at the joint, so that the intrusion of rainwater or other liquids cannot be prevented.
Therefore, there is a need to provide an improved waterproof housing to solve the above problems of the prior art.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is directed to a waterproof housing for packaging an antenna, which has high reliability and high sealing performance.
In order to achieve the above objectives, a broad aspect of the present invention is to provide a waterproof casing for packaging a circuit board, the circuit board having an antenna, the waterproof casing including a metal shell, a non-metal end cap and a sealing rubber ring. The metal shell is provided with a first accommodating space and a first opening which are communicated, the first accommodating space is used for accommodating at least part of the circuit board, and the antenna is adjacent to the first opening. The non-metal end cover is used for completely covering the first opening and forms a closed box body with the metal shell, the end face of the non-metal end cover extends out of the annular arrangement portion, and the annular arrangement portion is contained in the first containing space when the non-metal end cover completely covers the first opening. The sealing rubber ring is arranged on the annular arrangement part of the non-metal end cover in a surrounding mode and seals the joint of the metal shell and the non-metal end cover.

Detailed Description
Some exemplary embodiments that embody features and advantages of the invention will be described in detail in the description that follows. It is to be understood that the invention is capable of modification in various respects, all without departing from the scope of the invention, and that the description and drawings are to be regarded as illustrative in nature, and not as restrictive.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a waterproof housing according to a first embodiment of the present invention, fig. 2 is an exploded schematic structural diagram of the waterproof housing shown in fig. 1, and fig. 3 is a schematic structural diagram of a non-metallic end cap, a sealing rubber ring and a fixing member of the waterproof housing shown in fig. 1. As shown, the waterproof housing 1 is used to enclose a circuit board 2, wherein the circuit board 2 has an antenna 21, and the antenna 21 may be, but is not limited to, a near-field communication (NFC) antenna. In some embodiments, the waterproof housing 1 can be, but is not limited to, an outdoor wireless electronic device, such as a wireless led driver.
The waterproof shell 1 comprises a metal shell 3, a non-metal end cover 4 and a sealing rubber ring 5. The metal housing 3 has a first accommodating space 31 and a first opening 32 communicating with each other. The first accommodating space 31 is used for accommodating at least a part of the circuit board 2 and also accommodating the antenna 21. The antenna 21 is disposed on the circuit board 2, and when the circuit board 2 is accommodated in the first accommodating space 31, the antenna 21 is adjacent to the first opening 32. In the present embodiment, the metal housing 3 is a rectangular body having the first opening 32.
The non-metallic end cap 4 may be made of a material resistant to low temperature and ultraviolet, for example, the non-metallic end cap 4 needs to be disposed at a temperature of-20 ℃ and has a high ultraviolet, and the non-metallic end cap 4 may be made of a material of silicon oxide polycarbonate (Siloxane copolymer), but not limited thereto. The non-metal end cap 4 is assembled on the metal shell 3 from the first opening 32, and completely covers the first opening 32 of the metal shell 3, so as to form a closed box with the metal shell 3, and the antenna 21 adjacent to the first opening 32 is also adjacent to the non-metal end cap 4, so that the antenna 21 can transmit wireless signals to the outside of the waterproof housing 1 through the non-metal end cap 4. In some embodiments, the antenna 21 is disposed on the circuit board 2 in a direction that is, but not limited to, parallel to the end surface 40 of the non-metallic end cap 4. The non-metal end cap 4 extends from the end surface 40 to the metal housing 3 to form an annular disposing portion 41, the annular disposing portion 41 surrounds the periphery of the end surface 40, and when the non-metal end cap 4 completely covers the first opening 32 of the metal housing 3, the annular disposing portion 41 can be accommodated in the first accommodating space 31 of the metal housing 3.
The sealing rubber ring 5 is arranged on the annular arrangement part 41 of the non-metal end cover 4 in a surrounding manner, and when the non-metal end cover 4 completely covers the first opening 32 of the metal shell 3, the joint of the metal shell 3 and the non-metal end cover 4 is sealed, so that the non-metal end cover 4 is tightly jointed with the metal shell 3, and water can be prevented from permeating to achieve a waterproof effect.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, the waterproof housing 1 further includes at least one fixing member 6, such as four fixing members 6 shown in fig. 1 and 2, each fixing member 6 can be, but is not limited to, a screw, and the non-metal end cap 4 further has at least one first through hole 42, for example, four first through holes 42 as shown in fig. 3, the sealing rubber ring 5 further has at least one second through hole 51, for example, four second through holes 51 as shown in fig. 3, the metal shell 3 further has at least one third through hole 33, for example, four third through holes 33 shown in fig. 2, each third through hole 33 is aligned with the corresponding first through hole 42 and the corresponding second through hole 51, the number of the first through holes 42 is equal to the number of the second through holes 51, the number of the first through holes 42 is also equal to the number of the third through holes 33, and the number of the fixing members 6 is equal to the number of the first through holes 42. Each fixing member 6 penetrates through the corresponding first through hole 42 on the non-metal end cap 4 and the corresponding second through hole 51 on the sealing rubber ring 5, and is locked in the corresponding third through hole 33 on the metal shell 3, so as to fix the non-metal end cap 4 and the sealing rubber ring 5 to the metal shell 3.
In some embodiments, the annular disposing portion 41 may further include an annular groove 43, the annular groove 43 is formed by recessing an outer wall surface of the annular disposing portion 41 to receive the seal rubber ring 5, so as to further fix the seal rubber ring 5 on the annular disposing portion 41 and prevent the seal rubber ring 5 from being displaced.
In addition, the sealing rubber ring seals the joint of the metal shell and the nonmetal end cover, so that water can be prevented from permeating to achieve a waterproof effect, and compared with the traditional waterproof shell, the waterproof shell provided by the invention has the functions of enabling the antenna to have a wireless function and being waterproof.
The present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential attributes thereof, and it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be effected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.

Claims (5)

1. A waterproof housing for enclosing a circuit board having an antenna, the waterproof housing comprising:
a metal shell having a first containing space and a first opening which are communicated, wherein the first containing space is used for containing at least part of the circuit board and enabling the antenna to be adjacent to the first opening;
the nonmetal end cover is used for completely covering the first opening and forming a closed box body with the metal shell, and an annular arrangement part extends out of one end face of the nonmetal end cover and is contained in the first containing space when the nonmetal end cover completely covers the first opening; and
and the sealing rubber ring is arranged on the annular arrangement part of the non-metal end cover in a surrounding way and seals the joint of the metal shell and the non-metal end cover.
2. The waterproof housing of claim 1 wherein said non-metallic end caps are comprised of a material selected from the group consisting of silicone polycarbonate compounds.
3. The waterproof housing of claim 1, wherein the antenna is disposed on the circuit board in a direction parallel to the end face of the non-metallic end cap.
4. The waterproof housing of claim 1, wherein the waterproof housing comprises at least one fixing member, the non-metal end cap has at least one first through hole, the rubber sealing ring has at least one second through hole, the metal housing has at least one third through hole, and the fixing member penetrates through the corresponding first through hole and the corresponding second through hole and is locked in the corresponding third through hole to fix the non-metal end cap and the rubber sealing ring to the metal housing.
5. The waterproof housing of claim 1, wherein the annular mounting portion comprises an annular groove formed by recessing an outer wall of the annular mounting portion for receiving the sealing rubber ring to fix the sealing rubber ring on the annular mounting portion.
