In the related art, when a terminal device registers or updates, the capability of the terminal device needs to be reported to an access network; as the capabilities supported by the terminal device increase, the capabilities of the terminal device increase. In some scenarios, the number of capability identities of the terminal device that the network device may allocate to the terminal device is a plurality of, where the plurality of capability identities of the terminal device respectively correspond to different capability sets of the terminal device. However, in each registration process, the terminal device can only report a capability identifier of the terminal device; therefore, how the terminal device selects one capability identifier from the plurality of capability identifiers to report to the network device can meet the actual requirement of the network device on the terminal pen-involved capability, and no effective solution exists yet.

It is appreciated that the bus system 705 is used to enable connected communications between these components. The bus system 705 includes a power bus, a control bus, and a status signal bus in addition to the data bus. But for clarity of illustration, the various buses are labeled as bus system 705 in fig. 5.
It is to be appreciated that the memory 702 can be either volatile memory or nonvolatile memory, and can include both volatile and nonvolatile memory. Wherein the nonvolatile Memory may be ROM, programmable read-Only Memory (PROM, programmable Read-Only Memory), erasable programmable read-Only Memory (EPROM, erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), electrically erasable programmable read-Only Memory (EEPROM, electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), magnetic random access Memory (FRAM, ferromagnetic random access Memory), flash Memory (Flash Memory), magnetic surface Memory, optical disk, or compact disk read-Only Memory (CD-ROM, compact Disc Read-Only Memory); the magnetic surface memory may be a disk memory or a tape memory. The volatile memory may be random access memory (RAM, random Access Memory), which acts as external cache memory. By way of example, and not limitation, many forms of RAM are available, such as static random access memory (SRAM, static Random Access Memory), synchronous static random access memory (SSRAM, synchronous Static Random Access Memory), dynamic random access memory (DRAM, dynamic Random Access Memory), synchronous dynamic random access memory (SDRAM, synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory), double data rate synchronous dynamic random access memory (ddr SDRAM, double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory), enhanced synchronous dynamic random access memory (ESDRAM, enhanced Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory), synchronous link dynamic random access memory (SLDRAM, syncLink Dynamic Random Access Memory), direct memory bus random access memory (DRRAM, direct Rambus Random Access Memory). The memory 702 described in embodiments of the present invention is intended to comprise, without being limited to, these and any other suitable types of memory.
The memory 702 in embodiments of the invention is used to store various types of data to support the operation of the electronic device 700. Examples of such data include: any computer program for operating on the electronic device 700, such as application 7022. A program for implementing the method of the embodiment of the present invention may be contained in the application program 7022.
The method disclosed in the above embodiment of the present invention may be applied to the processor 701 or implemented by the processor 701. The processor 701 may be an integrated circuit chip having signal processing capabilities. In implementation, the steps of the above method may be performed by integrated logic circuits of hardware in the processor 701 or by instructions in the form of software. The processor 701 may be a general purpose processor, a digital signal processor (DSP, digital Signal Processor), or other programmable logic device, discrete gate or transistor logic device, discrete hardware components, or the like. The processor 701 may implement or perform the methods, steps, and logic blocks disclosed in embodiments of the present invention. The general purpose processor may be a microprocessor or any conventional processor or the like. The steps of the method disclosed in the embodiment of the invention can be directly embodied in the hardware of the decoding processor or can be implemented by combining hardware and software modules in the decoding processor. The software modules may be located in a storage medium in a memory 702. The processor 701 reads information in the memory 702 and, in combination with its hardware, performs the steps of the method as described above.
In an exemplary embodiment, the electronic device 700 can be implemented by one or more application specific integrated circuits (ASIC, application Specific Integrated Circuit), DSP, programmable logic device (PLD, programmable Logic Device), complex programmable logic device (CPLD, complex Programmable Logic Device), FPGA, general purpose processor, controller, MCU, MPU, or other electronic components for performing the aforementioned methods.
The embodiment of the application also provides a storage medium for storing the computer program.
Optionally, the storage medium may be applied to a terminal device in the embodiments of the present application, and the computer program makes a computer execute corresponding flows in each method in the embodiments of the present application, which are not described herein for brevity.
The present invention is described with reference to flowchart illustrations and/or block diagrams of methods, apparatus (systems) and computer program products according to embodiments of the invention. It will be understood that each flow and/or block of the flowchart illustrations and/or block diagrams, and combinations of flows and/or blocks in the flowchart illustrations and/or block diagrams, can be implemented by computer program instructions. These computer program instructions may be provided to a processor of a general purpose computer, special purpose computer, embedded processor, or other programmable data processing apparatus to produce a machine, such that the instructions, which execute via the processor of the computer or other programmable data processing apparatus, create means for implementing the functions specified in the flowchart flow or flows and/or block diagram block or blocks.
These computer program instructions may also be stored in a computer-readable memory that can direct a computer or other programmable data processing apparatus to function in a particular manner, such that the instructions stored in the computer-readable memory produce an article of manufacture including instruction means which implement the function specified in the flowchart flow or flows and/or block diagram block or blocks.
These computer program instructions may also be loaded onto a computer or other programmable data processing apparatus to cause a series of operational steps to be performed on the computer or other programmable apparatus to produce a computer implemented process such that the instructions which execute on the computer or other programmable apparatus provide steps for implementing the functions specified in the flowchart flow or flows and/or block diagram block or blocks.

Claims (16)

1. A method for reporting capabilities of a terminal device, the method comprising:
the terminal equipment acquires the corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and the registration area and the capability information filter;
the terminal equipment reports the capacity identification of the terminal equipment to network equipment based on the corresponding relation;
before the terminal device obtains the corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal device and the registration area and the capability information filter, the method further comprises:
the terminal equipment receives a first request message sent by network equipment, wherein the first request message is used for requesting the terminal equipment to report capability information of the terminal equipment based on at least one of a registration area, a network system type and a wireless access type, and the terminal equipment reports the capability information of the terminal equipment to the network equipment based on the first request message so as to enable the network equipment to allocate a capability identifier for the terminal equipment and establish a corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and at least one of the registration area, the network system type, the wireless access type and a capability information filter;
the reporting, by the terminal device, the capability identifier of the terminal device to the network device based on the correspondence relationship includes:
when the terminal equipment moves to a first registration area, the terminal equipment reports the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponding to the first registration area and the capability information filter in the corresponding relation to the network equipment according to the capability information filter used by the network equipment for sending the second request message;
the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponds to the capability information of different frequency bands and the capability information of different frequency band combinations.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises:
the terminal equipment receives first indication information sent by the network equipment, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating a registration area adapted to the capability identification of the terminal equipment.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the first indication information is carried in a non-access stratum, NAS, message.
4. A method for reporting capabilities of a terminal device, the method comprising:
the network equipment sends the corresponding relation between the capability identification of the terminal equipment and the registration area and the capability information filter to the terminal equipment;
the corresponding relation is used for reporting the capacity identification of the terminal equipment to the network equipment by the terminal equipment;
before the network device sends the corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal device and the registration area and the capability information filter to the terminal device, the method further comprises:
the network device sends a first request message to the terminal device, where the first request message is used to request the terminal device to report capability information of the terminal device corresponding to at least one of a registration area, a network system, and a wireless access type; the network equipment receives capability information of the terminal equipment, which is reported by the terminal equipment based on the first request message; the network equipment distributes the capability identification of the terminal equipment for the capability information of the terminal equipment; the network equipment establishes a corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and at least one of a registration area, a network system type, a wireless access type and a capability information filter;
the method further comprises the steps of:
the network equipment sends a second request message to the terminal equipment so that the terminal equipment can report the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponding to the first registration area and the capability information filter in the corresponding relation to the network equipment according to the capability information filter used by the network equipment for sending the second request message when the terminal equipment moves to the first registration area;
the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponds to the capability information of different frequency bands and the capability information of different frequency band combinations.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the method further comprises:
the network equipment establishes a corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and at least one of a registration area, a network system type, a wireless access type and a capability information filter;
and the network equipment sends the corresponding relation to the terminal equipment.
6. The method according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the method further comprises:
the network device sends first indication information to the terminal device, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating a registration area adapted to the capability identification of the terminal device.
7. A terminal device, the terminal device comprising:
the first processing unit is configured to acquire the corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and the registration area and the capability information filter;
the first sending unit is configured to report the capability identification of the terminal equipment to the network equipment based on the corresponding relation;
the first receiving unit is configured to receive a first request message sent by the network equipment, wherein the first request message is used for requesting the terminal equipment to report the capability information of the terminal equipment based on at least one of a registration area, a network system type and a wireless access type;
the first sending unit is configured to report capability information of the terminal device to the network device based on the first request message, so that the network device can allocate a capability identifier for the terminal device and establish a corresponding relationship between the capability identifier of the terminal device and at least one of a registration area, a network system type, a wireless access type and a capability information filter;
the first sending unit is configured to report, to the network device, a capability identifier of the terminal device corresponding to the first registration area and the capability information filter in the corresponding relationship according to the capability information filter used by the network device to send the second request message when the terminal device moves to the first registration area;
the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponds to capability information of different frequency bands and capability information of different frequency band combinations.
8. The terminal device of claim 7, wherein the terminal device further comprises:
the second receiving unit is configured to receive first indication information sent by the network equipment, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating a registration area to which the capability identification of the terminal equipment is adapted.
9. The terminal device of claim 8, wherein the first indication information is carried in a non-access stratum, NAS, message.
10. A network device, the network device comprising:
a second transmitting unit configured to transmit, to the terminal device, a correspondence between the capability identifier of the terminal device and the registration area, and the capability information filter;
the corresponding relation is used for reporting the capacity identification of the terminal equipment to the network equipment by the terminal equipment;
the second sending unit is further configured to send a first request message to the terminal device, where the first request message is used to request the terminal device to report capability information of the terminal device corresponding to at least one of a registration area, a network system type, and a wireless access type;
wherein the network device further comprises:
the third receiving unit is configured to receive capability information of the terminal equipment, which is reported by the terminal equipment based on the first request message;
the second processing unit is configured to allocate the capability identifier of the terminal equipment for the capability information of the terminal equipment, and establish a corresponding relation between the capability identifier of the terminal equipment and at least one of a registration area, a network system type, a wireless access type and a capability information filter;
the second sending unit is further configured to send a second request message to the terminal device, so that the terminal device, when moving to a first registration area, reports, to the network device, a capability identifier of the terminal device corresponding to the first registration area and the capability information filter in the corresponding relationship according to the capability information filter used by the network device to send the second request message;
the capability identification of the terminal equipment corresponds to the capability information of different frequency bands and the capability information of different frequency band combinations.
11. The network device of claim 10, wherein,
the second processing unit is further configured to establish a correspondence between the capability identifier of the terminal device and at least one of a registration area, a network system type, a wireless access type, and a capability information filter;
the second sending unit is further configured to send the correspondence to the terminal device.
12. The network device according to claim 10 or 11, wherein the second transmitting unit is further configured to transmit first indication information to the terminal device, the first indication information being used to indicate a registration area to which the capability identification of the terminal device is adapted.
13. A terminal device comprising a processor and a memory for storing a computer program capable of running on the processor, wherein,
the processor being adapted to perform the steps of the method of any of claims 1 to 3 when the computer program is run.
14. A network device comprising a processor and a memory for storing a computer program capable of running on the processor, wherein,
the processor being adapted to perform the steps of the method of any of claims 4 to 6 when the computer program is run.
15. A storage medium storing an executable program which, when executed by a processor, implements the method of any one of claims 1 to 3.
16. A storage medium storing an executable program which, when executed by a processor, implements the method of any one of claims 4 to 6.
