Background
In order to increase the power up of the engine and reduce the fuel consumption, superchargers are increasingly used in the engine. The air temperature after the engine is supercharged reaches 130-150 ℃ and even higher, and researches show that the density of the air is increased by about 3% and the thermal efficiency of the engine is increased by about 0.5% when the air inlet supercharging temperature is reduced by 10 ℃. To achieve higher in-cylinder charge densities, increased power requires cooling of the post-charge air. The engine on the whole vehicle adopts air-air cooling, namely adopts cold air to cool the air after supercharging. In the engine bench test, a water-air intercooler is often adopted, and the control of the air temperature after the engine is supercharged is realized through circulating cooling water.
The intercooler is typically only visible in a vehicle in which the supercharger is installed. Because the intercooler is actually a turbocharger accessory, the intercooler is used for reducing the temperature of high-temperature air after supercharging so as to reduce the thermal load of the engine, improve the air inflow and further increase the power of the engine. For supercharged engines, the charge air cooler is an important component of the supercharging system. Whether it is a turbocharged engine or a supercharged engine, an intercooler needs to be installed between the supercharger and the intake manifold.
Along with the release of the national sixth-stage emission standard, the heavy-duty vehicle engine test intercooler device has higher requirements: before the chiller test, the cooling fluid of the intercooler device is greater than 20 ℃, and the cooling fluid is not allowed to change in the whole test cycle, and in addition, the cooling fluid flow rate is kept unchanged after the temperature after the intercooler device is cooled at the rated working point is stable. The engine performance needs to be tested during production, the supercharged air inlet needs to be cooled during engine test, and an intercooler of the existing engine has no protection function and is low in efficiency.

The device can effectively protect the intercooler of the engine, and has higher working efficiency.

Referring to fig. 1 to 4, the present embodiment provides an engine intercooler device with a protection function, including an intercooler body 1 and an electronic control unit 2 disposed outside the intercooler body 1, wherein the intercooler body 1 is respectively provided with an air passage and a water passage, the intercooler body 1 is provided with an air inlet 3 and an air outlet 4 respectively communicating two opposite ends of the air passage, the air inlet 3 is provided with an air inlet temperature sensor 5 and an air inlet pressure sensor 6, and the air outlet 4 is provided with an air outlet temperature sensor 7, an air outlet pressure sensor 8 and an air outlet regulating valve 9. The intercooler body 1 is also provided with a cooling water inlet pipe 10 and a cooling water return pipe 11 which are respectively communicated with the water channel, and the cooling water return pipe 11 is provided with a return water regulating valve 12. The electronic control unit 2 is electrically connected with an air inlet temperature sensor 5, an air inlet pressure sensor 6, an air outlet temperature sensor 7, an air outlet pressure sensor 8, an air outlet regulating valve 9 and a water return regulating valve 12 respectively.

The air outlet pressure sensor 8 can measure the air outlet pressure of the intercooler body 1 in real time. When the electronic control unit 2 works, the water return regulating valve 12 is controlled to regulate the water quantity according to the threshold value set by the air outlet temperature sensor 7, so that the air outlet temperature is stabilized in a set range. The method comprises the following steps: when the gas outlet temperature sensor 7 detects that the gas temperature is lower than the minimum value of the set value, the electronic control unit 2 controls the water return regulating valve 12 to be closed so as to slow down the heat exchange speed of the hot air and the cooling water. When the gas outlet temperature sensor 7 detects that the gas temperature is higher than the highest value of the set value, the electronic control unit 2 controls the water return regulating valve 12 to be opened so as to accelerate the heat exchange speed of the hot air and the cooling water. When the phase difference between the air inlet pressure sensor 6 and the air outlet pressure sensor 8 exceeds a certain value, the electronic control unit 2 sends out alarm information of 'intercooler blockage', and reminds a worker of cleaning the intercooler body 1. When the air inlet temperature sensor 5 or the air inlet pressure sensor 6 exceeds a certain high value, the electronic control unit 2 sends out overspeed alarm information for the engine, and controls the air outlet regulating valve 9 to be closed so as to rapidly block the air inlet of the engine, thereby achieving the rapid stopping of the engine and protecting the engine from being damaged.
