The metal insert injection molding comprises the steps of firstly fixing the metal insert at a proper position in a mold in advance, then injecting plastic for molding, tightly wrapping the insert by the cooled and solidified plastic after mold opening and embedding the insert in a product to obtain the product with the inserts such as a threaded ring, an electrode and the like. The method is often used for manufacturing automobile parts, such as tail door inner plates, spoilers and the like.
When the insert injection molding is carried out on an insert structure such as a nut arranged on an inner plate of a tail door of an automobile, an insert pin is fixed on a mold, and a mechanical gripper needs to accurately place the insert on the insert pin so as to fix the insert, and then plastic is injected for molding. However, the shapes and structures of the tail doors are different, the positions of some insert structures are narrow, and the existing insert pins are only straight rods without any other structures, as shown in fig. 5, so that the insert cannot be accurately placed on the insert pin at the narrow position of the space, the insert and the insert pin are not firmly fixed, and the risk that the insert falls to crush the mold and the molded product lacks the insert to cause product rejection exists.

When the insert pin 1 is in an original state, the elastic piece 16 is in a compressed state, the first positioning step 151 is abutted to the second positioning step 131, in the injection molding process, the telescopic pin 15 slides leftwards under the action of the movable mold until the left end of the telescopic pin 15 is contacted with the inner positioning pin 14, after the injection molding is completed, the movable mold leaves, and the telescopic pin 15 returns to the original state under the action of the elastic piece 16, so that an injection molded product is ejected.
Referring to fig. 1 again, d is a distance between the first positioning step 151 and the second positioning step 131 when the left end of the retractable needle 15 contacts the right end of the inner positioning needle 14, the maximum distance of movement of the retractable needle 15 can be controlled by adjusting the size of d, which can be 5-12mm, preferably, d is 10 mm.
