Detailed Description
The present invention will be understood from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments ("best mode"), which are intended to be illustrative rather than limiting. Well-known features, methods, systems, processes, components, circuits, and the like have not been described in detail for the sake of brevity.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a liquid dispenser according to one embodiment of the present invention in an attached state.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a liquid dispenser according to one embodiment of the present invention in a detached state.
The liquid dispenser shown in these figures is herein designated by reference numeral 100. the liquid dispenser 100 comprises two bottles 20 and 30 connected in series by a connecting means.
For the sake of brevity, depending on the orientation of the bottles in the drawings, the first bottle is also referred to herein as the "upper bottle" and the second bottle (i.e., the next bottle) is also referred to herein as the "lower bottle".
When the bottles are in the connected state, the bottles are connected to each other such that the lower bottle 20 is tightly fitted with the upper bottle 30.
As shown, each bottle includes a cap 10.
Figures 3 to 6 show the structure of a dispenser which in the case illustrated uses a snap connection as the connecting means of the bottle.
Fig. 3 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a liquid dispenser according to an embodiment of the invention in a connected state.
FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a liquid dispenser according to one embodiment of the invention in a separated state.
FIG. 5 is a perspective view in longitudinal section of a liquid dispenser according to one embodiment of the invention in a separated state. For the sake of simplicity, the cap of the lower bottle 20 is not shown in fig. 5.
In the above figures, the dispenser 100 comprises two bottles 20 and 30 connected to each other in series by a snap connection. The top of the lower bottle 20 is correspondingly connected to the bottom of the upper bottle 30.
The snap connection in this embodiment comprises a protrusion 12 at the top of the lower bottle 20, which protrusion 12 correspondingly fits into a recess 13 of the upper bottle 30. Some cross-hatching has been removed from the enlarged views for the sake of brevity.
The snap connection keeps the bottles connected until the user exerts a separating force on the bottles, in particular pulling one bottle while holding the other.
Fig. 6 is a perspective view of a lower bottle 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention.
This figure clearly shows the projection 12 of the conical top of the bottle 20.
Fig. 7 is a perspective view of a liquid dispenser according to another embodiment of the invention.
In this figure, a cut-away view of the upper bottle 30 is shown.
The bottom of the upper bottle 30 comprises an internal thread 16 corresponding to an external thread 17 on the outside of the neck of the lower bottle 20. Thus, the upper bottle 30 serves as a cap for the lower bottle 20.
According to this embodiment of the invention, the means of connection of the lower bottle and the upper bottle are a threaded connection.
FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a liquid dispenser according to yet another embodiment of the invention.
The bottom of the upper bottle 30 comprises an internal thread 16 corresponding to the external thread 15 on the outside of the cap 10 of the lower bottle 20.
According to this embodiment of the invention, the means of connection of the lower bottle and the upper bottle are a threaded connection.
According to this embodiment of the invention, the dispenser must be designed such that the force required to open the cap 10 of the lower bottle 20 is greater than the force required to rotate the lower bottle to open the connection between the bottles. This may be achieved, for example, by nylon or plastic tape (not shown) used to secure the cap 10 to the bottle wall of the lower bottle 20. After separating the bottles, the user removes the strip, opening the cap 10 of the lower bottle 20, using the force required to open the cap of the upper bottle 30 (not shown in this figure).
In fig. 8, cap 10 of lower bottle 20 is separated from lower bottle 20, thereby exposing thread 17 of the neck of lower bottle 20.
It should be noted that although the embodiments herein refer to two bottles, the number of bottles may be greater.
The present invention provides a liquid dispenser that enables the contents stored therein to be stored for a longer period of time than the prior art because even once one container (i.e., a bottle) of the dispenser is opened, the other containers remain sealed and can thus remain fresh until opened.
According to one embodiment of the invention, each bottle contains a different composition of matter. For example, each bottle contains a different material component of the cocktail. Thus, the user can prepare a cocktail whose amounts of the individual ingredients are determined by the user, thereby giving the cocktail a "custom-fit" flavor.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the external thread 17 corresponds to the internal thread 16, i.e. the cap 10 of the lower bottle is omitted.
It should be noted that the capacity of each bottle does not have to be the same.
It should also be noted that the appearance of each bottle does not have to be the same.
One of the benefits of the present invention over the prior art is that the overwrap housing of the plurality of dispensers is compact.
Of course, the capacity of each bottle of the dispenser may be several milliliters to tens of liters.
In the drawings and/or the description herein, the following reference numerals (list of reference numerals) are shown:
the numeral 100 denotes a liquid dispenser according to an embodiment of the invention;
the numeral 10 indicates a bottle cap;
the number 11 indicates the direction of movement;
numeral 12 denotes a projection;
numeral 13 indicates a recess;
numeral 14 indicates the bottle wall of the bottle;
numeral 15 indicates an external thread on the outside of the cap 10;
numeral 16 indicates an internal thread located at the bottom of the upper bottle 30;
numeral 17 indicates a thread on the neck of the lower bottle 20;
the number 20 indicates the lower bottle (also called second bottle or next bottle); and
the number 30 indicates the upper bottle (also called the first bottle).
The foregoing description and description of embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description, and is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the above description in any form.
Any terms defined above and used in the claims should be construed in accordance with this definition.
