Referring to fig. 1 to 10, a plug connector 100 and a receptacle connector 200 mated therewith according to the present invention are disclosed.
Referring to fig. 3 to 8, the plug connector 100 includes an insulative housing 1 and conductive terminals 2 held on the insulative housing 1. The conductive terminal 2 includes a holding portion 22, a pin 23 extending from one end of the holding portion 22 to the insulating housing 1, and a contact portion 21 extending from the other end of the holding portion 22. The contact portions 21 are plate-shaped, and the contact portions 21 of each of the conductive terminals 2 are parallel to each other. The insulating body 1 includes a base 10 and an elongated island 11 protruding from the base 10, the island 11 defining a longitudinal direction L. The insulative housing 1 includes a sidewall 12, the sidewall 12 is formed by extending vertically from the first mating surface 101. The base 10 has a first butting face 101 at a front end thereof, the island 11 has a second butting face 111 at a front end thereof, and the second butting face 111 is located in front of the first butting face 101.

One edge of the contact portion 21 of the third terminal 26 is buried in the side wall 12. The edges of the second terminals 25 adjacent to the side walls 12 are spaced from the side walls 12 to ensure smooth drainage channels in the longitudinal direction without being obstructed by the second terminals 25. The contact portion 21 of the third terminal 26 is provided with a notch 261, and the notch 261 is located at the interface of the sidewall 12 and the first abutting surface 101 to provide a drainage function.
The first and second terminals 24 and 25 are plural, and the second terminals 25 are aligned in a row in the longitudinal direction L of the island 11. In the present embodiment, the number of the first and second terminals 24 and 25 is four. The first terminals 24 are arranged in a row parallel to the second terminals 25, and the first terminals 24 and the second terminals 25 are arranged in one-to-one alignment in the first direction V. The third terminals 26 are two and located at both ends of the island 11 in the longitudinal direction and spaced apart from the side surfaces of the island 11 by a predetermined distance.
In the second direction X, the second abutting surface 111 is inclined to increase the drainage effect, and is lower adjacent to the first terminal 24 side. Referring to fig. 8, the angle between the second abutting surface 111 and the sidewall 12 is an obtuse angle.
In the first direction V, the width of the contact portion 21 of the third terminal 26 is larger than the width of the contact portions 21 of the first and second terminals 24 and 25, and an edge 241 of the contact portion 21 of the first terminal 24 protrudes beyond an edge 261 corresponding to the contact portion 21 of the third terminal 26. In the second direction, the length of the first terminal 24 is greater than the length of the second terminal 25, and the edge 251 of the contact portion 21 of the second terminal 25 protrudes beyond the edge 262 corresponding to the contact portion 21 of the third terminal 26. The island 11 covers the root of the second terminal 25 in front of the first mating face 101 to increase the holding force of the second terminal 25 and prevent water from seeping into the interior of the connector.
