Abstract
The invention discloses a bidirectional W-shaped metal sealing ring, which has an annular core structure, wherein the cross section of the double W-shaped metal sealing ring is back-to-back, one W-shaped metal sealing ring has an inward opening and the other W-shaped metal sealing ring has an outward opening, wave troughs on the upper side and the lower side of the double W are hermetically welded, and a sealed cavity is formed in the middle of the double W-shaped metal sealing ring. Compared with the existing W-shaped sealing ring, the contact area of the double-W sealing ring and the flange plate is twice that of a single-W sealing ring, the contact area is increased, and the sealing performance is better; the sealing ring has the characteristics of an inward single-W-shaped sealing ring and an outward single-W-shaped sealing ring, can be used for sealing inwards and outwards, and has richer available scenes; the gas in the middle sealing cavity has an expansion recovery effect after being pressed and unloaded, which is beneficial to improving resilience; the sealing ring structure is compact, tight and solid, and can bear larger axial load; the structural strength of the design is higher, and the stability is stronger.

Background
The sealing device is an indispensable important part in modern fluid machinery as a device for preventing leakage and external impurities and dust from entering the inside of a working environment in an electromechanical product. The W-shaped metal sealing ring is widely applied to fifth-generation engines due to the excellent sealing performance of the W-shaped metal sealing ring.
The W-shaped sealing ring guarantees sealing, simultaneously considers the advantages of large axial compression displacement, moderate rigidity, good rebound resilience and the like, has the difficult vibration following performance and durability, and can provide stable sealing under the conditions of high temperature and high pressure for aerospace equipment. But the working environment is complex (high temperature and high pressure, frequent vibration and strong corrosivity), the performance requirement is high (moderate rigidity, good sealing performance, high strength, good vibration following performance and long service life), and meanwhile, the structure is simple, the metal wall is thin, so that the design and the manufacture are not easy. Therefore, a bidirectional W-shaped sealing ring is provided on the basis of a single W-shaped sealing ring, and compared with the traditional W-shaped sealing ring, the contact area of the double W-shaped sealing ring and a flange plate is twice that of the single W-shaped sealing ring, the contact area is increased, and the sealing performance is better; the sealing ring has the characteristics of an inward single-W-shaped sealing ring and an outward single-W-shaped sealing ring, can be used for sealing inwards and outwards, and has richer available scenes; the sealing ring structure is compact, tight and solid, and can bear larger axial load; the structural strength of the design is higher, and the stability is stronger.

The technical scheme provided by the invention for solving the problems is as follows: a bidirectional W-shaped metal thin-wall sealing ring has a ring-shaped core structure, the cross section of the ring is a double-W shape which is arranged in a back-to-back manner, and the W-shaped wave troughs are fixedly connected in a back-to-back manner; one W-shaped opening is radially inward, the other W-shaped opening is radially outward, the upper side and the lower side of the double W-shaped openings are in contact with the flange plate, and the two wave troughs are fixedly connected together.
Preferably, the wave troughs on the upper side and the lower side are welded in a sealing mode, and a sealing cavity is formed in the middle.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the advantages that: the bidirectional W-shaped metal sealing ring is stronger in axial load bearing, not easy to yield and deform, high in strength and good in stability; the sealing ring has large contact area with the flange plate, double-layer sealing and good sealing performance; the sealing ring can be used for inward sealing and outward sealing, and one ring has multiple purposes; and fourthly, the gas in the middle sealing cavity has an expansion recovery effect after being pressed and unloaded, and the rebound resilience is favorably improved.

The specific working principle of the invention is as follows: the bidirectional W-shaped metal sealing ring is arranged between the flange plates with axial compression, high-temperature and high-pressure airflow flows in from the flange rings and flows to the nested flange rings, due to the structural design requirement, the flange rings and the nested flange rings adopt a split design, the sealing ring is arranged between the two flange rings and is compressed, and the airflow sealing between the flanges can be realized; the bidirectional W-shaped metal sealing ring can be arranged between different flange rings to realize radial inward or outward gas sealing; the bidirectional W-shaped metal sealing ring structure has higher strength and can bear larger axial load; meanwhile, the double-layer sealing is realized, the contact area with the flange ring is larger, and the sealing performance is better.
