However, in the above-mentioned method of replacing with high-pressure steam, there may be a case where the air in the polymerizer 1 is not completely pumped by the vacuum pump 2, and in this case, when vinyl chloride is introduced into the polymerizer 1, the vinyl chloride directly contacts with the air, and the lower explosion limit of vinyl chloride gas is 3.6%, which may cause a safety hazard.
