Abstract
The application provides a handheld terminal, which comprises a shell, wherein one side of the shell is provided with an opening, a connector is accommodated in the shell and exposed out of the opening, and the connector comprises at least one pair of terminals; the hole plug is arranged on the shell and is contained in the opening hole, the hole plug comprises a cover plate and at least one pair of contacts embedded in and penetrating through the cover plate, the cover plate covers the opening hole and can be opened from the opening hole, and the contacts are electrically connected with the terminals in a conduction mode.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to a handheld terminal.
Background
The miniaturization of mobile terminals has made the headroom of the internal antennas of the mobile terminals smaller and smaller.
The existing mobile terminal comprises a shell, a USB interface and a contact, wherein the USB interface and the contact are arranged on the side face of the shell, the USB interface is used for being plugged with a USB data line to carry out data transmission or charging, and the contact is used for being in conductive connection with a base charger or a card holder to further charge the mobile terminal or transmit signals. Since the contacts are more convenient and durable than the USB interface, the application of the contacts to the mobile terminal is common, especially in the industrial mobile terminal, and both the USB interface and the contacts are usually provided.
However, the USB interface and the contact made of metal both absorb or shield electromagnetic waves, which affects the clearance of nearby antennas, not only complicates the design of the antenna, but also increases the power of the antenna and increases the power consumption in order to ensure that the antenna has good signal strength; what is more, with the popularization and spread of 5G, the number of antennas in 5G mobile terminals is larger, and more headroom is required in the mobile terminals to arrange the antennas.
The present application provides a new handheld terminal, which adopts new methods and technical means to solve the above problems.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the problems faced by the background art, the present inventor has devised a handheld terminal having a pair of contacts on a plug.

Optionally, an antenna module is disposed in the housing and located at a clearance area beside the connector.
Optionally, the antenna module is bent from a back surface parallel to the housing to extend to the bottom side of the housing.
Optionally, the antenna module is a bracket antenna or an FPC antenna or an LDS antenna.
Optionally, the antenna module is a main antenna of the handheld terminal.
Optionally, the pair of terminals includes a positive power supply terminal and a negative power supply terminal or a signal terminal and a ground terminal or a pair of differential signal terminals.
Optionally, a magnet is embedded in the cover plate for abutting against the magnetic suction head.
Optionally, the handheld terminal is electrically connected to the charging socket through the first contact and the second contact.
Optionally, the connector is a USB connector or an audio connector or a memory card connector.
Compared with the prior art, the method has the following beneficial effects:

For better understanding of the objects, structures, features, and functions of the present application, reference is now made to the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
The present application provides a handheld terminal 100 and a plug 2, wherein the handheld terminal 100 may be a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a mobile phone, a tablet computer, an interphone, etc.
In one embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, the handheld terminal 100 includes a housing 1, the housing 1 is two-piece and includes a front shell 11 and a rear shell 12 opposite to each other, the rear shell 12 is removable from the front shell 11, an opening 13 is formed on a bottom side of the front shell 11, and a positioning hole 14 is formed beside the opening 13, and the opening 13 is substantially located at the center of the bottom side of the front shell 11.
Referring to fig. 2, 3 and 4, a plug 2 is mounted in the positioning hole 14, the plug 2 includes a cover plate 21, a positioning portion 22 extending from the cover plate 21, and a pair of contacts penetrating through the cover plate 21, the pair of contacts includes a first contact 23 and a second contact 24, the plug 2 is positioned in the positioning hole 14 through the positioning portion 22, the cover plate 21 is used to cover the opening 13 to prevent water drops or impurities from entering the interior of the housing 1 through the opening 13, and the cover plate 21 can be opened from the opening 13. The cover plate 21 is made of elastic materials such as rubber, the cover plate 21 can be sealed with the opening hole 13, the hole plug 2 embeds the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 into the cover plate 21 in an injection molding mode, and gaps are prevented from being generated between the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 and the cover plate 21.
In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, a magnet 25 is further embedded in the cover plate 21 of the plug 2 for interfacing with a magnetic attraction head (not shown, the same applies below).
As shown in fig. 2, a connector 3 is accommodated in the housing 1 and exposed to the opening 13, the connector 3 includes at least a pair of terminals 31, in this embodiment, the connector 3 is a USB connector 3, specifically, USB Type-C, and as shown in fig. 5, which is an enlarged view of the connector 3 in this embodiment, the pair of terminals 31 can be a positive power terminal and a negative power terminal or a signal terminal and a ground terminal or a pair of differential signal terminals.
When the cover 21 covers the opening 13, the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 are electrically connected to one of the pair of terminals 31, preferably, the first contact 23 is electrically connected to the positive power terminal, and the second contact 24 is electrically connected to the negative power terminal (usually, a ground terminal is used as the negative power terminal).
As shown in fig. 6, when the PIN definition of the connector 3 of the present embodiment is shown, and the pair of terminals 31 are a positive power supply terminal and a negative power supply terminal (a ground terminal serves as the negative power supply terminal), the first contact 23 contacts the positive power supply terminal, and the second contact 24 electrically contacts the negative power supply terminal.
As shown in fig. 7 and 8, when the hand-held terminal 100 is placed on the mating charging dock 4, the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 are in contact with the charging terminal 41 on the charging dock 4 to charge the hand-held terminal 100. When the hole plug 2 is opened, a data line may be inserted on the connector 3 for charging or data transmission.
In other embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 may also contact a signal terminal and a ground terminal in the connector 3, respectively, so that the handheld terminal 100 can transmit data through the first contact 23 and the second contact 24.
In other embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 may also respectively contact a pair of differential signal terminals in the connector 3, so that the handheld terminal 100 may transmit differential signals through the first contact 23 and the second contact 24.
Since the PIN of the connector 3 is symmetric about the center when it is USB Type-C, and the power PIN is symmetric up and down, in some embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the first contact 23 on the plug 2 can be simultaneously contacted with a pair of positive power terminals opposite up and down, and the second contact 24 can be simultaneously contacted with a pair of negative power terminals (ground terminals), so as to increase the charging power of the first contact 23 and the second contact 24. Even a plurality of the first contacts 23 and a plurality of the second contacts 24 may be provided on the plug 2, the plurality of the first contacts 23 respectively contact a plurality of positive power terminals of the connector 3, and the plurality of the second contacts 24 respectively contact a plurality of negative power terminals of the connector 3, thereby increasing the charging power; or a plurality of the first contacts 23 contact a plurality of signal terminals of the connector 3, respectively.
With regard to the same type of connector 3, the PIN definitions of the same type of connector 3 are the same, and the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 of the hole plug 2 always contact the pair of terminals 31 with the same PIN definition on the same type of connector 3, so that the hole plug 2 can be standardized, and even with different models of hand-held terminals 100, the same hole plug 2 can be applied to simplify the design if the openings 13 for receiving the connectors 3 are the same as long as the types of connectors 3 are the same.
Since the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 are disposed on both sides of the connector 3 in the prior art, occupying space on both sides of the connector 3, and adversely affecting the antenna located near the connector 3, the first contact 23 and the second contact 24 are disposed integrally on the plug 2, so that a continuous clearance zone or a plurality of independent clearance zones are formed around the connector 3 for disposing the antenna module 5, and the range of the clearance zones can be determined by a device (not shown, the same applies hereinafter). Specifically, in this embodiment, a clearance area is formed by approaching the inner side of the rear housing 12 and being located in an area right above the connector 3, and because of the distance from the connector 3, two clearance areas are also formed at a certain distance from the left and right sides of the connector 3, and these three clearance areas are bent and extended to be connected into one piece. The antenna module 5 is an FPC antenna, and may be designed according to the shape of the clearance area, and the antenna module 5 extends by bending parallel to the rear case 12 to the bottom side of the front case 11, and rides on the connector 3, and occupies substantially all of the clearance area around the connector 3. The antenna module 5 is a main antenna for performing 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G communication, and the handheld terminal 100 further includes a diversity antenna (not shown, the same below), an NFC antenna (not shown, the same below), a Wifi antenna (not shown, the same below), and the like.
In some embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the antenna module 5 may be a rack antenna or an LDS antenna, and when the antenna module 5 is an LDS antenna, the antenna module 5 may be directly molded on the housing 1, for example, the clearance area may be more fully utilized by plating the antenna module 5 on the rear housing 12.
In some embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the connector 3 may be an audio connector 3 or a memory card connector 3, and the shape and position of the contact on the plug 2 are adjusted to correspond to the terminals on different connectors 3, so that the contact can be conducted with the terminals.
In some embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the two-piece housing 1 in the foregoing embodiments may be integrally formed to form the one-piece housing 1, so that when the antenna module 5 is an LDS antenna, there are more positions on the one-piece housing 1 for disposing the antenna module 5, and even the antenna module 5 may be bent along the housing 1, so as to fully utilize the clearance area around the connector 3, thereby improving the efficiency of the antenna.
In some embodiments (not shown, the same applies below), the opening 13 and the connector 3 may be disposed at other positions of the housing 1, such as at the side of the housing 1, and the plug 2 is correspondingly disposed at the side of the housing 1.
The handheld terminal has the following beneficial effects:
the pair of contacts on the plug 2 electrically connect with the pair of terminals 31 on the connector 3, so that the handheld terminal 100 can directly charge or transmit data through the pair of contacts, which not only can improve the service life of the connector 3, but also is more convenient, for example, the handheld terminal 100 can be charged by directly placing on the charging stand 4, so as to save the plugging of a data line; and for among the prior art, locate the scheme of connector 3 both sides with the contact, this application will the contact set up in after on the hole stopper 2, it is little to occupy the space, has increased the clearance area around the connector 3, the design of the antenna of being convenient for, and improves antenna efficiency, and further, standardized design can be carried out to hole stopper 2, and the adaptation has the handheld terminal 100 of the different models of same kind of connector 3, and need not to consider the problem that does not have the space on the handheld terminal 100 and set up the contact.

Claims (9)
1. A handheld terminal, comprising:
the connector comprises a shell, a first connector and a second connector, wherein one side of the shell is provided with an opening, a positioning hole is formed beside the opening, a connector is accommodated in the shell and exposed out of the opening, and the connector comprises at least one pair of terminals;
the hole plug is arranged on the shell and is contained in the opening, the hole plug comprises a cover plate, a positioning portion extending from the cover plate and at least one pair of contacts embedded into and penetrating through the cover plate, the hole plug is positioned in the positioning hole through the positioning portion, the cover plate is made of elastic materials, the opening is covered and sealed so as to prevent water drops from entering the shell from the opening, the cover plate can be opened from the opening, the contacts are electrically connected with the terminals, and the handheld terminal is directly charged or transmits data through the contacts.
2. The handheld terminal of claim 1, wherein: an antenna module is disposed in the housing and located in a clearance area beside the connector.
3. The handheld terminal of claim 2, wherein: the antenna module is bent and extended to the bottom side of the shell from the back surface parallel to the shell.
4. The handheld terminal of claim 2, wherein: the antenna module is a support antenna or an FPC antenna or an LDS antenna.
5. The handheld terminal of claim 2, wherein: the antenna module is a main antenna of the handheld terminal.
6. The handheld terminal of claim 1, wherein: the pair of terminals includes a positive power supply terminal and a negative power supply terminal or a signal terminal and a ground terminal or a pair of differential signal terminals.
7. The handheld terminal of claim 1, wherein: a magnet is embedded in the cover plate and is used for being connected with the magnetic suction head in an abutting mode.
8. The handheld terminal of claim 1, wherein: the pair of contacts comprises a first contact and a second contact, and the handheld terminal is in conductive connection with the charging base through the first contact and the second contact.
9. The handheld terminal of claim 1, wherein: the connector is a USB connector or an audio connector or a memory card connector.
