With the rapid development of information technology and the increasing demand for data, the data transmission rate of mass data transmission is more and more demanding. High speed connectors, including backplane connectors, board-to-board connectors, and I/O connectors are also advancing at higher rates. To increase the transmission rate of the connector, the signal quality of the signal at a higher frequency transmission rate must be ensured, and the quality of the signal on the transmission path is the signal integrity, and the main indicators include crosstalk, loss, impedance and the like.
An electric connection plug-in card in the existing electric connector consists of a grounding terminal and a signal terminal, and in order to solve the problems of interference, impedance and the like, signal shielding structures need to be additionally arranged on two sides of the grounding terminal and the signal terminal, so that the problems that the structure of the electric connector is complex and the loss of high-speed signals is influenced by the signal shielding structures exist.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to specific embodiments shown in the drawings. The accommodating space is provided with a plurality of electrical connection portions 113 for mating and abutting with the electrical connection card 20, so that the electrical connection card 20 is fixed on the plastic body 11. The connecting end surface 111 is provided with a connecting hole 1111 connected to the electrical connecting portion 113 for electrically connecting to the backplane.
As shown in fig. 3 to 7, the electrical connection card 20 includes an insulative housing 21 and a terminal assembly 22, wherein the terminal assembly 22 is assembled in the insulative housing 21. The insulating housing 21 includes an upper case 211 and a lower case 212 assembled, a first receiving portion 2111 is provided at a side of the upper case 211 opposite to the lower case 212, and a second receiving portion 2121 is provided at a side of the lower case 212 opposite to the upper case 211, the first receiving portion 2111 being disposed opposite to the second receiving portion 2121 to form a receiving space.
In order to facilitate the assembly of the upper case 211 with the lower case 212, the upper case 211 is provided with a coupling post 2112, and the lower case 212 is provided with a coupling hole 2122 to be coupled with the coupling post 2112, thereby facilitating the rapid assembly of the upper case 211 with the lower case 212 by the coupling of the coupling post 2112 with the coupling hole 2122. In another embodiment, the lower shell 212 may be provided with a connection post 2112, and the upper shell 211 is provided with a connection hole 2122 to be fitted with the connection post 2112.
The terminal assembly 22 has a positioning hole 2221 formed in the ground terminal 222 and engaged with the connecting post 2112, so that the connecting post 2112 can also fix the terminal assembly 22. The connection post 2112 is provided at a position corresponding to the ground terminal 222. In this embodiment, in order to fix the terminal assembly 22 integrally, the two ends of the terminal assembly 22 are respectively provided with a plurality of positioning holes 2221. Correspondingly, a plurality of connecting posts 2112 are correspondingly arranged on the upper shell 211 or the lower shell 212.
In this embodiment, metal layers are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the upper case 211 and the lower case 212, and cover the first and second receiving portions 2111 and 2121, respectively. Specifically, the upper case 211 and the lower case 212 may be fixed by plating or electroless copper plating, respectively. After the upper shell 211 and the lower shell 212 are assembled, the metal layers of the first accommodating portion 2111 and the second accommodating portion 2121 are combined into a signal shielding cavity for accommodating the terminal assembly 22, so as to control the impedance of the terminal assembly 22. In this embodiment, the metal layer is disposed on the inner side surface of the insulating housing 21 to form a signal shielding cover structure, so that the terminal assembly 22 can be prevented from being disturbed by other signals, and the impedance control of the terminal assembly 22 is realized.
The terminal assembly 22 includes a plurality of signal terminals 221 and ground terminals 222 arranged side by side, and the signal terminals 221 are located between two ground terminals 222. The signal terminal 221 is located in the signal shielding cavity, and the ground terminal 222 is electrically connected to the metal layer. In this embodiment, when the upper housing 211 and the lower housing 212 are assembled, the signal terminal 221 is located in the receiving cavity formed by the first receiving portion 2111 and the second receiving portion 2121, since metal layers are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the upper housing 211 and the lower housing 212, the signal terminal 221 is located in a metal sealed by 360 °, and the ground terminal 222 is clamped between the upper housing 211 and the lower housing 212 and electrically connected to the metal layers.
The terminal assembly 22 of the present invention includes a first electrical connection portion 223 connected to the signal terminal 221 and the ground terminal 222 at the same end, respectively, a second electrical connection portion 224 connected to the signal terminal 221 and the ground terminal 222 at the other end, respectively, and a connection section connected between the first electrical connection portion 223 and the second electrical connection portion 224. The connecting section is bent to make the first electrical connection portion 223 and the second electrical connection portion 224 have different assembling directions, the first electrical connection portion 223 is used for being inserted into the electrical connection portion on the plastic body 11 of the electrical connector 100, and the second electrical connection portion 224 is used for being inserted into the single board. In this embodiment, the first electrical connection portion 223 is a connection elastic piece, and the second electrical connection portion 224 is a fish-eye plug, but the first electrical connection portion 223 and the second electrical connection portion 224 of the present invention are not limited thereto, and the connection structure satisfying the mating and plugging is suitable for the first electrical connection portion 223 and the second electrical connection portion 224 of the present invention.
Further, the terminal assembly 22 further includes a first wire clip 225 fixed to an end of the first electrical connection portion 223 and a second wire clip 226 fixed to an end of the second electrical connection portion 224. Wherein the first wire clamp 225 is disposed perpendicular to the assembling direction of the first electrical connection portion 223 and the second wire clamp 226 is disposed perpendicular to the assembling direction of the second electrical connection portion 224, so as to secure the stability of the terminal assembly 22 at least in the assembling direction of both ends by the first wire clamp 225 and the second wire clamp 226.
The first wire clamp 225 and the second wire clamp 226 of the present invention are vertically arranged to each other, and can be adapted to a single board and a back board in a 90-degree vertical structure, so that the first wire clamp 225 and the second wire clamp 226 respectively provide supporting forces in the horizontal and vertical directions to ensure the overall strength of the terminal assembly 22, without adding other structural members at the connecting section or other positions, thereby reducing the loss of the signal terminal 221 during the signal transmission process and controlling the impedance. In this embodiment, the first wire clamp 225 and the second wire clamp 226 are made of an insulating material, and the signal terminal 221 and the ground terminal 222 are fixed in the first wire clamp 225 and the second wire clamp 226. The electrical connection paddle card of claim 2, wherein the terminal assembly includes a first electrical connection portion connected to the signal terminal and the ground terminal at a same end, respectively, a second electrical connection portion connected to the signal terminal and the ground terminal at another end, respectively, and a connection section connected between the first electrical connection portion and the second electrical connection portion; the connecting section is bent to enable the first electric connection part and the second electric connection part to have different assembling directions.
5. The electrical connection paddle card of claim 4, wherein the terminal assembly further comprises a first wire clamp secured to an end of the first electrical connection and a second wire clamp secured to an end of the second electrical connection; the first wire clamp is perpendicular to the assembling direction of the first electric connection part, and the second wire clamp is perpendicular to the assembling direction of the second electric connection part.
6. The electrical connection paddle card of claim 5, wherein the first clip and the second clip are disposed perpendicular to each other.
7. The electrical connection card of claim 4, wherein the upper shell includes a first recess corresponding to the first electrical connection, and the lower shell includes a second recess corresponding to the first electrical connection, the first recess and the second recess cooperating to form a plug-in hole, the first electrical connection being located within the plug-in hole.
8. The electrically connecting paddle card of claim 4, wherein the upper housing includes a first metal shell disposed corresponding to the first electrical connection portion, the lower housing includes a second metal shell disposed corresponding to the first electrical connection portion, the first metal shell and the second metal shell cooperate to form a socket connector having a receiving cavity, and the electrical connection portion corresponding to the signal terminal is located in the receiving cavity of the socket connector.
9. The electrical connection card of claim 2, wherein the upper shell is provided with a connection post and the lower shell is provided with a connection hole that mates with the connection post, or the lower shell is provided with a connection post and the upper shell is provided with a connection hole that mates with the connection post; the terminal assembly is provided with a positioning hole matched with the connecting column on the grounding terminal.
10. An electrical connector comprising a plastic body and an electrical connector card according to any one of claims 1 to 9 assembled to the plastic body.
