Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of flexo printing water-based ink, in particular to a flexo printing environment-friendly tipping paper water-based ink subjected to slow drying treatment and a preparation method thereof.
Background
At present, the traditional tipping paper printing mode is solvent-based ink gravure printing, so that hidden dangers in the aspect of health and safety indexes exist, and volatile organic solvents (namely VOCs) such as ethanol, ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate and the like are inevitably discharged into the atmosphere in the production process. In order to further improve the safety performance of the cigarette tipping paper and reduce the emission of VOCs in the production process, a safer and more environment-friendly production mode needs to be searched.
The water-based ink is prepared by compounding and grinding water-soluble resin, organic pigment, food-grade binder and the like. The printing ink has the advantages that the solvent used in the printing ink is not an organic solvent but water, and the printing ink does not contain volatile organic solvents, so that the emission of VOC (volatile organic compounds) is greatly reduced, thereby lightening the atmospheric pollution, improving the environment of printing operators and being beneficial to the health of workers. Meanwhile, the method can completely eliminate harmful substances in the solvent type ink, eliminate the harm to human bodies caused by the pollution of packaged commodities and improve the overall environmental quality. In addition, it can not only reduce the residual toxicity on the surface of the printed matter, making the cleaning of the printing equipment convenient, but also reduce the fire hazard and hidden trouble caused by static electricity and flammable solvents, so the water-based ink is called as a novel "green" printing material.
The latest published HJ317-2018 environmental label product technical requirement gravure ink and flexo ink of the department of ecological environment definitely stipulates that the volatile organic compound is less than or equal to 5 percent, and the content of the volatile organic compound in the existing tipping paper water-based ink is more than 10-30 percent. Investigating the currently marketed flexographic aqueous inks, of which the total amount of VOCs does not exceed 5%, mainly for the printing of plastic films and cardboard, which are directly applied in the production of tipping paper printing, it was found that the inks dry and build up on the plate and anilox roller, and even cause the anilox roller to jam, the reason for this being analyzed, mainly because these inks dry too quickly and dry already on the plate when they have not been transferred to the tipping paper. Therefore, the commercial flexographic water-based ink with the VOCs content of less than 5% does not meet the printing production requirements of tipping paper, and the water-based ink suitable for the flexographic printing of the tipping paper needs to be newly developed.

It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
The embodiment of the invention provides a flexo printing environment-friendly tipping paper water-based ink subjected to slow drying treatment, which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 11% -20% of acrylic resin; the dilution resin is 18% -37%; 10% -22% of pigment; 1% -2.5% of slow-drying agent; 0.3% -0.8% of wetting agent; 0.6% -1.0% of a leveling agent; 0.01% -0.1% of defoaming agent; 0.1% -0.5% of pH regulator; the balance being water. Wherein the slow drying agent is a copolymer of maleic anhydride-acrylic acid-butyl acrylate.
The fineness of the water-based ink of the flexo environment-friendly tipping paper subjected to slow drying treatment is less than or equal to 25 microns, the water-based ink can be suitable for flexo production of the tipping paper, and the copolymer of maleic anhydride, acrylic acid and butyl acrylate is added into an ink system as a slow drying agent, so that the phenomenon that a printing plate is dried can be effectively avoided. Because the maleic anhydride-acrylic acid-butyl acrylate copolymer contains much COO on the molecular structure-The hydrophilic group enhances the water retention capacity of the water-based ink, and further slows down the drying speed of the water-based ink. On the other hand, the long molecular chain structure of the maleic anhydride-acrylic acid-butyl acrylate copolymer is firmly adsorbed on the surface of pigment particles through covalent bonds or van der waals force, the dispersion stability of the pigment in the ink can be enhanced by utilizing the steric hindrance effect of the long molecular chain, and no additional dispersing agent is needed. In addition, the water-based ink disclosed by the invention uses pure water as a solvent, does not contain a volatile organic solvent, and has the total content of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) of less than 5% and better quality.
Preferably, the slow-drying agent can be prepared by the following method:
(1) adding an initiator into an aqueous solution containing maleic anhydride, acrylic acid, butyl acrylate and a chain transfer agent, and reacting for 2-3 hours at 80-90 ℃ to obtain a polymer solution; wherein the mole ratio of the maleic anhydride, the acrylic acid and the butyl acrylate is 2: 1: 0.25, using isopropanol as a chain transfer agent, wherein the dosage of the isopropanol is 15-20% of the total mass of the maleic anhydride, the acrylic acid and the butyl acrylate. Ammonium persulfate is used as an initiator, and the dosage of the ammonium persulfate is 5-8% of the total mass of the maleic anhydride, the acrylic acid and the butyl acrylate.
(2) And adding the polymer solution into acetone, separating out a precipitate, and drying to obtain the slow drying agent. The molecular weight of the prepared slow-drying agent is 3000-10000.
Preferably, the let-down resin is at least one of: styrene-acrylic resins, polyurethane resins. The styrene-acrylic resin has the advantages of strong adhesion, high transparency and glossiness, low cost and slow drying, and is more suitable for being used as water-based ink of a slow drying system.
Preferably, the wetting agent is digao TEGO550 or Dow Corning DC 67. The wetting agent can effectively reduce the surface tension of the water-based ink of the ink flexo environment-friendly tipping paper, so that the ink can be more easily wetted and spread on the tipping paper, and the ink has higher glossiness and wear resistance. The addition amount of the wetting agent is small, and the wetting agent plays a role in reducing the surface tension of the water-based ink, so that the leveling property of the ink can be improved, and the glossiness of a film layer can be improved; however, the addition amount of the wetting agent is too high, the wetting agent reaches the critical micelle concentration, the wetting and leveling effects of the ink are adversely affected, and the glossiness is reduced, and preferably, the content of the wetting agent is 0.4-0.6%.
The flatting agent is beneficial to air release and pigment dispersion, improves the wettability to paper and eliminates the change of surface tension; the surface tension of the dried ink strip reaches a uniform and lower level, the volatilization process of a solvent in the ink cannot be obviously changed, the optimal leveling property is achieved, the surface of an ink film is smooth, the frictional resistance is reduced, and the glossiness and the wear resistance of the ink can be effectively improved. When the addition amount of the flatting agent is less, the surface tension of the ink film can be homogenized as soon as possible, and a smooth and flat ink film is obtained; however, when the leveling agent is added in an excessive amount, the ink may generate a sagging phenomenon in the printing process, and the sagging phenomenon may leave a trace of ink flowing on a printed product or cause uneven thickness of an ink layer and poor leveling property. Preferably, the content of the leveling agent is 0.7-0.8%, and the leveling agent is an acrylate leveling agent.
Resin binders commonly used in aqueous inks are generally soluble in pure water and are relatively soluble in alkaline environments, and a pH adjuster is required to adjust the pH of the ink system. Preferably, the pH adjusting agent is ethanolamine. The pH value of the ink system is adjusted to 8.0-9.5, and at the moment, the ink has good fluidity, and the viscosity of the ink is maintained at a higher level, so that the ink is suitable for printing. Ethanolamine is used as a pH regulator, so that the obtained printing ink has no pungent smell, and the printed tipping paper sample has no peculiar smell, thereby meeting the requirements of the flexible printing environment-friendly tipping paper water-based printing ink. In addition, the ink system is alkalescent, and carboxylate ions in the molecular structure of the maleic anhydride-acrylic acid-butyl acrylate copolymer are favorably adsorbed on the surfaces of the pigment particles, so that the pigment particles are negatively charged, repulsive force exists among the pigment particles, and the dispersion stability of the pigment in the ink system is further improved.
When the pigments in the ink formulation are titanium dioxide and kaolin, an aqueous white ink is obtained.
When the pigments in the ink formulation are yellow iron oxide and kaolin, an aqueous yellow ink is obtained.
When the pigments in the ink formulation are red iron oxide and kaolin, an aqueous red ink is obtained.
When the pigments in the ink formulation are vegetable carbon black and c.i. pigment black 7, an aqueous black ink is obtained.
