The heated cigarette of the present invention comprises two ends: an upstream end portion and a downstream end portion. The terms "upstream" and "downstream" are used to describe the relative positions of elements or portions of elements of a cigarette with respect to the direction of smoking of the cigarette by a user during use. In use, a user may draw on the downstream end and the aroma and aerosol generated by the tobacco rod flow in the upstream to downstream direction and are drawn into the user's mouth.

In contrast, the heating element of the heating appliance advantageously does not cause the tobacco sheet to move when inserted into or withdrawn from a cigarette comprising the tobacco strip sheet.
In addition, the weight of a particular length of the elongated sheet is determined by the density, width and thickness of the sheet, and therefore, the weight of a particular length of a cigarette comprising tobacco segments into which the elongated sheet is gathered can be adjusted by controlling the density and size of the elongated sheet, which reduces weight inconsistencies between cigarettes of the same size, and reduces the rate at which the weight falls outside of acceptable limits compared to cigarettes comprising pieces of tobacco material.
One or more of tobacco extract, granular or powdered tobacco material or flavourant is/are applied to the core material of the tobacco segment 1. Among these, tobacco extracts include, but are not limited to: yunyan absolute, Zimbabwe absolute, megastigmatrienone, methyl cyclopentenolone, damascenone, ionone, dihydroactinidiolide, and the like. Flavorants include, but are not limited to: mint essence, apple essence, rose essence and the like. Further, the core material is a sheet material formed by a paper-making process. In the present invention, the smoking material/agent is not included in the substance applied to the core of the component material. Known smoking materials include, but are not limited to: polyols and mixtures thereof. Polyhydric alcohols such as propylene glycol, triethylene glycol, butylene glycol, and glycerin.
Preferably, the tobacco section 1 has an outer diameter of at least 4mm, and may have an outer diameter of between about 4mm and about 10mm, and further between about 6mm and about 8 mm. In the preferred embodiment, the tobacco segment 1 has an outer diameter of 7mm +/-10%.
Tobacco segment 1 may have a length of between about 10mm and about 22 mm. In one embodiment, the tobacco segment may have a length of about 15 mm. In a preferred embodiment, the tobacco segment 1 has a length of about 12 mm.
Preferably, the tobacco segment 1 is generally cylindrical.
The structure of the proximal lip segment is described in detail below. The proximal lip section 3, which may be an acetate rod, is disposed adjacent the downstream side of the multi-concave arc shaped hollow filter rod cavity section 2 and at the downstream end of the heated cigarette. The proximal lip segment 3 may be composed of a core material and a forming paper wrapped around it. Preferably, the core of the proximal lip section 4 is of acetate material.
The proximal lip section 3 preferably has an outer diameter approximately equal to the outer diameter of the tobacco section 1.
The proximal lip section 3 has an outer diameter of at least 4mm, and may have an outer diameter of between 4mm and about 10mm, and further between about 6mm and about 8 mm. In the preferred embodiment, the proximal lip segment 3 has an outer diameter of 7mm +/-10%.
The proximal lip section 3 may have a length of between about 5mm and about 20 mm. In a preferred embodiment, the proximal lip section 3 may have a length of about 10mm or 15 mm.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the proximal lip segment 3 is solid.
Preferably, the proximal lip segment 3 may also be provided with units for adding fragrance. The flavour enhancing element may be a ball containing a liquid therein, or a granular or powdered material having the taste of a tobacco leaf or other characteristic flavour. The spherical object containing liquid therein is, for example, a popping ball. The granular or powdery material with tobacco flavor is prepared by applying a solvent prepared from Yunyan absolute, Zimbabwe absolute, megastigmatrienone, methyl cyclopentenolone, damascenone, ionone, dihydroactinidiolide to granules or powder of tobacco leaf and tobacco stem. The granular or powdery material with other characteristic fragrance is prepared by applying one or more mixed solvents of herba Menthae essence, fructus Mali Pumilae essence, flos Rosae Rugosae essence, etc. onto granules or powder of tobacco leaf, tobacco stalk, etc.
The tobacco section 1, the multi-concave arc hollow core filter rod cavity section 2 and the proximal lip section 3 are confined by an outer wrapping material. The outer wrapper may be formed of any suitable material or combination of materials. In a preferred embodiment, the outer wrapper may comprise an inner and an outer layer, the inner layer being the formed paper 4 and the outer layer having a 10mm to 35mm tipping paper 5 as tipping paper, preferably about 20mm tipping paper, near the lip end of the formed paper 4. In another embodiment, the outer wrapper may also be cigarette paper.
The heated cigarette of the present invention may have an outer diameter of between about 4mm to about 10mm, further between about 6mm to about 8 mm. In a preferred embodiment, the cigarette has an outer diameter of 7mm +/-10%.
The heated cigarette of the present invention has a total length of between about 30mm and 100 mm. In a preferred embodiment, the cigarette has an overall length of about 45 mm. Specifically, the tobacco plug rod 1 is 12mm, the multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter rod cavity section 2 is 23mm, and the acetate fiber rod 3 is 10 mm.
Two methods of producing the heated cigarette of the present invention are described below.
The method 1 is that a multi-concave arc hollow filter stick 21 with a specific length and shape is filled into a paper tube 22 with a corresponding length, and cavities 23a and 23b with specified lengths are reserved at two ends inside the paper tube 22, so that one more concave arc hollow filter stick cavity section 2 is formed. And then, the concave arc-shaped hollow filter rod cavity section 2, the tobacco rod 1 and the acetate fiber rod 3 are compounded to form a composite filter rod. And then the composite filter stick is wrapped with tipping paper 4 by rubbing and is cut to obtain the cavity type heating cigarette with the multi-concave arc hollow filter stick.
The method 2 is that a plurality of multi-concave arc hollow filter sticks 21 with specific length and shape are arranged at certain intervals and wrapped with the wrapping paper to form the cavity composite filter stick, the structure is shown in figure 4, wherein the wrapping paper adopts the wrapping paper with higher ration and thickness. Then, the hollow composite filter stick shown in fig. 4 is cut to obtain a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick cavity section 2, and then the multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick cavity section 2, a tobacco stick 1 and an acetate fiber stick 3 are compounded to form the composite filter stick. And then twisting and wrapping the composite filter stick with the forming paper 4, and slitting to obtain the cavity type heating cigarette with the multi-concave arc hollow filter stick. The difference between the method 2 and the method 1 is that the method 1 is used for preparing the concave arc-shaped hollow filter rod cavity section singly, while the method 2 can be used for preparing a plurality of concave arc-shaped hollow filter rod cavity sections simultaneously, so that the production efficiency is higher.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are merely illustrative of the present invention and are not to be construed as limiting the present invention, and that changes and modifications to the above described embodiments may be made within the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined in the appended claims.
Claims (10)
1. A cavity-heated cigarette as claimed in claim 1 having a multi-concave hollow curved filter rod, wherein the multi-concave hollow curved filter rod is in the shape of a hollow column with an axially through bore having a cross-sectional shape including but not limited to round, pentagram and heart, and a layer of paper is applied to the surface of the multi-concave hollow curved filter rod.

A cavity-heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick as claimed in claim 2, wherein when the cross-sectional shape of the inner hole is circular, the diameter of the circle is 1.5mm to 3.5mm, and when the cross-sectional shape of the inner hole is a pentagram or heart, the diameter of a circumscribed circle of the shape is 1.5mm to 3.5 mm.

A cavity-type heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick according to claim 1, wherein the outer surface of the multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick is provided with a plurality of concave arc-shaped grooves extending longitudinally along the filter stick, and the number of the arc-shaped grooves is 4-10.
5. A cavity-type heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick according to claim 4, wherein the groove depth of the arc-shaped groove is 0.5-2 mm, and the groove width of the arc-shaped groove is 1-3 mm.

A cavity-type heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick according to claim 1, characterized in that the outer wrapping material comprises an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer is formed paper, and the outer layer is tipping paper with the thickness of 10 mm-35 mm.
7. A cavity-heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc hollow filter stick according to claim 1, characterized in that the material of the multi-concave arc hollow filter stick is acetate tow and triacetin.
8. A cavity-heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick according to claim 1, characterized in that the specified length of the cavity is between 0.5mm and 4 mm.

A cavity-type heated cigarette with a multi-concave arc-shaped hollow filter stick according to claim 1, wherein the tobacco section is a tobacco core rod and is composed of a tobacco core material and aluminum foil composite forming paper or oil-proof forming paper wrapping the tobacco core material.
10. A cavity-heated cigarette having a multi-concave curved hollow filter rod as claimed in claim 1, wherein said proximal lip segment is an acetate fiber rod composed of an acetate fiber core material and a paper wrapper wrapped around it.
