The linear submerged arc welding pipe has a welding seam which is a straight line along the length of the pipe, so-called banana bend is inevitably generated due to the action of heat influence in the welding process, the straightness of the steel pipe is influenced, and the influence degree has a certain relation with the specification, the material performance, the forming quality and the like of the steel pipe. A domestic straight welded pipe production line, no matter a JCOE production line or a UOE production line, a process on the production line having a straightening effect on a welded pipe is expanding, the welded pipe is straightened to a certain extent by virtue of the stepping adjustment and the expanding parameter adjustment of a clamp, and under a normal condition, the full-length straightness guarantee capacity after expanding is 0.15% L, so that the requirement of an AP I standard on the straightness of a product (the straightness of a steel pipe is less than or equal to 0.2% L as required by the AP I standard) can be met, and the requirement of a DNV standard on the straightness of a marine pipe product (the straightness of the steel pipe is less than or equal to 0.15% L as required by the DNV standard) can also; but can not meet the new requirements of products with straightness less than or equal to 0.1 percent L, which are provided by some users.
