Detailed Description
In order to make the technical problems solved, the technical solutions adopted and the technical effects achieved by the present invention clearer, the technical solutions of the present invention are further described below by way of specific embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The structure of an animal behavioral testing system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 1, the animal ethology testing system of the present embodiment includes an ethology box 1, a stimulation presenting module 2, an optical pulse stimulation module 3, and a video monitoring module 4, wherein the ethology box 1 is configured to accommodate an experimental animal, and the ethology box 1 is provided with an air inlet through which anesthetic gas can be input into the ethology box 1. The stimulation presenting module 2 is arranged on the ethology box body 1, the stimulation presenting module 2 is configured to present stimulation towards the experimental animal, the light output end of the light pulse stimulating module 3 extends into the ethology box body 1 and is suitable for being connected with the head of the experimental animal, the video monitoring module 4 comprises a visible light monitoring component 41 and an infrared monitoring component 42, the visible light monitoring component 41 is configured to monitor the behavior of the experimental animal under the condition of sufficient light, and the infrared monitoring component 42 is configured to monitor the behavior of the experimental animal under the dark condition.
It is understood that, in the present embodiment, the video monitoring module 4 includes a visible light monitoring component 41 capable of monitoring the behavior of the laboratory animal under the condition of sufficient light and an infrared detection component capable of monitoring the behavior of the laboratory animal under the dark condition. Therefore, the requirements of animal behavior and activity can be monitored in the environment with sufficient light, and the requirements of animal behavior and activity can be monitored in the dark environment. Especially for rodents such as mice, the activity in the dark environment better conforms to the nature of life in the natural environment, thereby better meeting the needs of animal behavioral research.
It should be noted that the fear response of the animal is dependent on the level of arousal and consciousness of the animal, and different arousal states may cause the animal to be unable to realize the arrival of dangerous stimuli in time, so that defensive response cannot be made in time, and finally the survival is threatened. The anesthesia state is considered a body state as opposed to arousal, and researchers can obtain valuable experimental data by behavioral comparison of the anesthesia state with the arousal state. In this embodiment, the anesthetic gas may be introduced into the ethological box 1, so as to achieve anesthesia of the experimental animal. That is to say, the animal behavioural test system of the embodiment can monitor the behavioural activity of the experimental animal in the anesthesia state and the behavioural activity of the experimental animal in the waking state, and better meets the requirement of the research on the instinctive fear of the animal.
Because the light output end of the light pulse stimulation module 3 is connected with the head of the experimental animal, the bidirectional regulation and control of the specific brain area of the experimental animal can be realized, and the specific neuron is activated or inhibited, and then the change of the mouse behavior is observed through the video monitoring module 4, so that the experimental animal can analyze the neural loop of the instinct fear and arousal relationship, thereby being beneficial to people to find out the neural mechanism with cross-species conservation behind the back, and benefiting patients with fear-related diseases such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder and the like.
In the invention, the stimulation presenting module 2 may always add a specific certain stimulation to the behavioural box 1, or the stimulation presenting module 2 may be connected to an external control module 5, and the control module 5 may adjust the type of stimulation added to the behavioural box 1 by the stimulation presenting module 2 according to specific experimental requirements. Therefore, compared with artificial stimulation addition in the prior art, the animal behavior test system can improve the precision and effectiveness of stimulation addition.
In addition, preferably, the animal behavioural testing system may further comprise a control module 5, which is respectively communicated with the stimulation presenting module 2, the optical pulse stimulation module 3 and the video monitoring module 4 to transmit data. The control module 5 plays a role of data control and processing center, and provides setting, outputting and controlling of experimental stimulation parameters according to specific experimental requirements through computer programming. That is to say, when the control module 5 exists, the stimulus added to the experimental animal by the stimulus presenting module 2 is always under the control of the control module 5, so that the accuracy and effectiveness of adding the stimulus are improved. For example, the conventional stimulation for inducing the instinct fear response of the mouse can realize automatic stimulation triggering through a program, thereby improving the accuracy of experimental stimulation.
It should be added and explained that the materials of the behavioural box body 1 can be selected from methyl methacrylate materials, stainless steel, glass and other materials according to experimental requirements, all parts of the joints of the behavioural box body 1 are directly embedded together in the production process, so that the sealing performance is ensured, and the anesthetic gas can be prevented from leaking from the behavioural box body 1, thereby better solving the problem that the anesthetic gas in the prior art is easy to diffuse and the personal safety of experimental researchers is influenced. In addition, the visible light monitoring component 41 may be selected from a conventional camera, and the infrared monitoring component 42 may be selected from an infrared camera. The specific models of the visible light monitoring component 41 and the infrared monitoring component 42 are not limited, and both can be selected according to actual needs.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 1, the behavioural box 1 comprises a main box 11 and an auxiliary box 12, at least one side of the main box 11 is a light-transmitting sheet, the visible light monitoring component 41 is disposed corresponding to the light-transmitting sheet of the main box 11, the auxiliary box 12 is communicated with the main box 11, and the volume of the auxiliary box 12 is smaller than the volume of the main box 11. At least one side of the auxiliary box 12 is an infrared filter, and the infrared monitoring component 42 is disposed corresponding to the infrared filter of the auxiliary box 12.
It can be understood that, because the volume of the auxiliary box 12 is smaller than the volume of the main box 11, when the stimulation presenting module 2 presents visual stimulation inducing the experimental animal under dark conditions, the experimental animal can present the reaction of returning to the nest (i.e. entering the interior of the auxiliary box 12) at a high probability, at this time, because at least one side of the auxiliary box 12 is the infrared filter, the infrared monitoring component 42 is arranged corresponding to the infrared filter of the auxiliary box 12, so the infrared monitoring component 42 can well monitor the behavior and activity of the experimental animal in real time. Under the condition of sufficient light, the experimental animal is greatly recorded to move in the main box body 11 with a larger volume, and at the moment, the visible light monitoring component 41 can monitor the behavior and the activity of the experimental animal in real time. Therefore, the main box body 11 and the auxiliary box body 12 are designed in a partition mode, and requirements of various experimental conditions and stimulation can be well met.
It should be noted that, in some embodiments, each side of the main housing 11 is a light-transmitting sheet. Therefore, the visible light monitoring assembly 41 can monitor the experimental animal without dead angles, and is beneficial to the behavioral research of the experimental animal. Of course, in other embodiments, the light-transmitting sheet on the main box 11 can be adjusted according to practical situations, and is not limited to the above description.
In some alternative embodiments, as shown in fig. 1, the auxiliary case 12 is a rectangular parallelepiped, and all the side surfaces of the auxiliary case 12 are infrared filters. Therefore, the infrared monitoring assembly 42 can monitor the experimental animal without dead angles, and is beneficial to the research of the behavioristics of the experimental animal. Of course, in other embodiments, the infrared filter on the auxiliary box 12 can be adjusted according to practical situations, and is not limited to the above description.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 1, an opening 111 is provided on the top wall of the main housing 11, and the stimulation presentation module 2 is a screen fitted at the opening 111. From this, on the one hand be favorable to amazing the module 2 of presenting to send amazing towards experimental animals betterly, on the other hand, opening 111 can regard as the mouth of putting into of placing experimental animals, has reduced the hole structure on the main tank body 11 like this, has improved the sealing performance of main tank body 11.
Advantageously, the edge of the opening 111 is designed with soft silica gel, and the stimulation presenting module 2 can ensure the tightness of the main box body 11 after covering the opening 111, thereby avoiding the phenomenon that the leakage of anesthetic gas affects experimenters, and improving the safety of the animal behavior testing system.
It should be added here that when the stimulation presenting module 2 is a screen, a temperature sensor can be added to the stimulation presenting module 2 to monitor the temperature inside the ethological box 1, or a camera is installed on the stimulation presenting module 2 to shoot the experimental animal.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 1, the animal ethology testing system further includes a gas inlet pipe 6, a gas recovery pipe 7, and a gas sampling pipe 8, the gas inlet pipe 6 is communicated with the ethology box 1, the gas inlet pipe 6 is configured to input experimental gas into the ethology box 1, the gas recovery pipe 7 is communicated with the ethology box 1, the gas recovery pipe 7 is configured to recover gas inside the ethology box 1, the gas sampling pipe 8 is communicated with the ethology box 1, and the gas sampling pipe 8 is configured to extract gas inside the ethology box 1 and output the gas to an external detection device. Therefore, the stable input of anesthetic gas into the ethology box body 1 can be ensured, the stable recovery of gas in the ethology box body 1 can be ensured, the phenomenon of gas leakage in the ethology box body 1 is avoided, and the use safety of the animal ethology test system is ensured. And the existence of gas sampling pipe 8 can realize the real-time supervision of the inside gas concentration of behavioural box 1, composition, and what kind of anesthesia state that accurate monitoring experiment animal is in is favorable to the research to animal behavioural.
In some specific embodiments, as shown in fig. 1, the gas recovery tube 7 has a tube diameter greater than that of the gas inlet tube 6, and the gas inlet tube 6 has a tube diameter greater than that of the gas sampling tube 8. It can be understood that, the gas inside the behavior box 1 needs to be recovered after the experiment is finished under general conditions, and the pipe diameter of the gas recovery pipe 7 is large, so that the rapid recovery of the gas inside the behavior box 1 is facilitated, and the experiment efficiency is improved. And the pipe diameter of the gas inlet pipe 6 is relatively small, so that the flow of the anesthetic gas towards the behavioural box 1 can be well controlled, and the control on the anesthetic state of the experimental animal is better realized. In addition, the diameter of the gas sampling pipe 8 is small, and the influence on the gas environment in the ethology box body 1 is small in the sampling process, namely the diameter of the gas sampling pipe 8 is small, so that stable sampling of gas in the ethology box body can be guaranteed, the influence on the gas concentration in the ethology box body 1 can be reduced, and the possibility that the anesthesia state of an experimental animal is changed greatly in the experimental process is reduced.
